Just reached the 120 mile mark on my Aventon Level.2 that I got a few weeks ago. The idea was to add a new hobby to my repertoire that’s more physically demanding than the usual without adding a bunch of gym time away from my ten month old daughter and wife. Also, I don’t particularly enjoy going to the gym lol. I figured I already gotta go to work so let’s try commuting by bicycle for a while and some free weights at the house. Nothin too crazy. 8 miles there, 8 miles back. The e-bike motor and torque sensor doesn’t quite keep me from sweating like crazy (thanks to mom’s genes) but it certainly helps. Who knew there were so many dang hills in my area?! I’ve really enjoyed exploring new routes and little trails that cut through a lot of places cars can’t. It adds just that much more flexibility. Parks, trails, slim spaces between buildings, neighborhoods, sidewalks, parking lots, blocked off roads— there’s really no shortage of options. I’ve been very pleased with the level(.2) this bike has performed at. And let me just say, these integrated lights are unbelievably good. Which is totally in line with the quality of everything else. From shipping, to build, to operation, it’s all been great. Being out of traffic has really just been so good on the soul. It’s certainly provided a desperately needed release, for sure. This is an easy recommend.

Received the bike within a week of ordering. Online video was a helpful resource for assembling the bikes. It took about 45 minutes to assemble the first one and 15 for the second one. It looks like in the last year the packaging materials have been switched to all paper aside from the seat cover. After about an hour charging, battery level was at about 40%. This was enough to go for a 9.8 mile bike ride. A very pleasant riding experience. Can’t wait to put more miles on this thing!

This is a great bike. Don’t get me wrong. I enjoy the smoothness of the torque sensor. It rides great. I use it to commute to work and back. 10 miles round trip. The battery will last me just past 3 days. I plug it in every two days. No big deal. I like the throttle. Wish it would go faster. But that is where the bike encourages me to pedal. Pedaling makes it faster. I guess mission accomplished. The main issue I have is the price. It costs more than my carbon fiber road bike. And this bike, being stainless steel is a bit tanky. Without the electric, it becomes a real chore to ride. And without a warranty, I just spent $2,000 on a bike that I’m left alone hoping it will last long. It is built very solid, but if something goes wrong, I’m going to feel jaded. So, 3 stars = average.

Purchased Level 2 Commuter from Best Buy. Assembled and turned it on. Communication Error 30 right out of the box. Spent 3 days with Aventon tech support, which is located on the west coast. East coast customers must wait until 12 noon Eastern Time for phone support to answer. Bottom line is they offered to start replacing parts and if that will not help to take the bike to authorized dealer for exchange! Again, brand new, out of the box, never used bike. I opted to try and replace controller and display, but parts were shipped regular USPS and again, for east coast customers it is a week wait with no guarantee that it will fix the problem. Courtesy overnight or at least 2nd day was not even an option. Did not want to lose refund grace period with Best Buy and returned bike for a full refund. Bike looked and felt well bult, but customer support for defective out of the box product is not what you'd expect from a company.

I knew I wanted this bike because I got numerous recommendations and test drove my friend’s. Please do not read into the couple bad apples that posted poor reviews because they just do not understand e-bikes. Glad I ignored them. It comes brand new in the box. Outstanding packaging from Aventon and really easy to follow setup instructions. BB got it to my house in a few days, whereas Aventon was going to take two weeks to ship. Buy it!

Excellent first electric bike! 60 miles of range as the specs say

Incredible function. Very smooth ride with the front fork suspension, awesome rear motor with power. Using the throttle only, it scoots. Using peddle assist is like a speed rush when set to 5. The center console is OK. If connect via Bluetooth to my phone, but I'm still checking functionality on that. I wish maps or navigation Would run on the screen Bluetooth or with the cord would be nice. The lights are great too. Hoping a few update will add turn signals. Battery charge lasted me 2 days all over before first recharge. All together for the price am awesome fun and useful ebike! If you're on the fence,get it. You'll regret it if you don't get the Xmas sale price.

I love the bike so far. I’ve ridden about 100 miles so far. It flies at 20 mph. I have not been able to get it to 28 mph even though I unlocked it thru the app. Ride quality is nice and pretty smooth even over very bumpy roads. When I use throttle only, I get about 25 miles before it’s close to zero. I’m not a fan of the seat and I might buy a different one. It is also over 60 pounds so that might be something you consider if you live in a place with no elevators. I think I might have returned for the Solterra.2 if the return fee wasn’t so much.

This e-bike punches above its weight class for under $2000 you can’t get a better bike. Pros: quick release front tire for transport, 60 miles of range, above average components across the bike. Cons: the commuter style tire while great on pavement obviously doesn’t have as much grip on trails. Solid bike Aventon rocks.

This bike is nice. I traded in The Aventon Pace 500 v2 for this Level.2 bike mainly to get the new torque sensor. The torque sensor is much better for my taste than the cadence sensor for pedaling - a much smoother, less unpredictable assistance - seems less dangerous. The drawbacks of this bike for me are: 1. the "large" frame is a little small for me when compared to the Pace 500v2 bike's large frame. I am 6' 1" tall. 2. The handlebars are way too low for me - straight bars. The Pace 500 had an adjustable stem and raised bars. This bike does not. I fixed these issues by replacing the handlebars with some 6" riser bars for about $50 - Great now. 3. The seat is not good, not even as nice as the one on the Pace 500 v2 (lower priced bike). I fixed this issue by replacing with a new springy seat and a suspension seat post. To sum it up, the level.2 bike is great with a few modifications if you are tall or have a bad back and want the torque sensor and other options. If you don't care about the torque sensor (biggest reason for me), the included fenders, rack, and shocks on the forks, the Pace 500v2 is better out of the box for a tall guy and seems sturdier. The Pace 500 is a stiffer ride though. It is too bad Aventon did not include the adjustable stem, raised handlebars, and better seat on their more expensive level.2 bike. Though, I would still probably replace the Pace 500 seat also. The torque sensor is worth getting this bike, at least for now. I have put over 100 miles on it so far without issues. I can go 20 miles and still have about 70% charge left - don't know how accurate that reading is. We'll see how the bike holds up over time.

Purchased the Level 2 brand new from Best Buy and the rear hub motor is making a horrible screeching sound. Beware that you can't call Aventon customer service, you have to open a ticket for warranty issues like this. I opened a ticket 18 days ago and still no response from the company. So if any issues come up with your bike in warranty period, they will ignore attempts to make a claim. I would not recommend Aventon to anyone or purchase their bikes in the future. I wish Best Buy would stop carrying their product until they make better commitments to their customers.

Had to order thru Beat Buy since Aventon doesn't deliver to Hawaii which is kind of a bummer but from the ordering to the delivery was smooth from beginning to end. The bike itself is fantastic, first e-bike I've ever owned but the riding experience is amazing. Can't recommend enough for anyone thinking about getting a daily rider to check this one out!

This is our fifth e- bike. Over all a nice riding, good handling bike except for the loud knock coming out from the rear hub. I would have returned it except two hour drive to return it. I took it to a Aventon dealer 30 minutes away waiting for a replacement approval.

Had bike for less than 2 weeks. Great bike, easy on the knees with Pedal Assist and Throttle. Only problem is the difficulty of contacting Aventon Bikes Customer Service, Seemingly Non Existent. Tried Calling their posted Customer service Number and their online chats and links to Register my new bike and also Register for their Extra Battery Give Away for Purchasing their E Bike Level 2. Very Frustrated with Aventon's Customer Service Support. It is a Fantastic Bike and I Hope they Become Responsive to Needs of their Customers and Consumers.

Ive never owned an electric bike, I did a but of research online prior to this purchase. I found that this bike would fit exactly what I needed. Ive owned it for about a month now and have not regretted it one bit. Would definitely recommend.

I absolutely love this bike. It became my go to vehicle. Not killing myself on the hill on my street inspired me to ride more. I put 1200 miles on it in 5 months. I had one accident and aside from realigning the steering - it held up. I get up to 29mph easily.

I actually got this color and I always get a lot of compliment! One of the best bikes I've ever ridden! Everyone should definitely try it - one ride is all it takes, you would definitely buy it!

Smooth delivery, amazing bike. So far I’ve put 40 miles on the bike without any issues. Putting it together was straightforward, brakes been great and speed amazing. Only negative is the seat hurts after about 10 miles. Easy to swap out though. Don’t hesitate to pick one up!

Aventon advertised that I would get a free battery when buying this bike but they never sent the batteries and made no response to my multiple requests. I would not purchase this bike again.
