Honestly, the VPN alone made this suite well worth it. Easy one-click access to secure VPN. Literally. So simple. The other included components include the typical array you'd expect from an internet security bundle, like spyware screening, virus protection, computer tune-up (fixes junk files, broken file registries, etc) to make things run smoother, and a secure web browser. UI is clean, easy to maneuver, and not too many layers of menus to get to the function you want to access. This pack includes access for 5 devices, so it's enough for my entire household.

Software is easy to setup and very easy to use. Great protection for your computer and your identity. There is other antivirus software out there that is comparable for around the same price, but I do like the email shield technology which was the only difference I had seen that differed from past antivirus software out there. I would definitely recommend.

    Ultimate should be Ultimate

Product was easy to install and seems to do what anti-virus is supposed to do. Unfortunately anti-virus is like airbags, the only way to test it is to have someone try and hack your system or you run into another car. Has a lot of nice features that help my pc to run faster and puts many programs that run in the background to sleep until I need them. Also has a secure AVG browser that comes with installation. What really irks me about the "Ultimate" program is the fact that if you really want all that the system has to offer you have to sign up "read $$" for the system that resolves potential driver issues and also AVG's VPN. I feel that when I buy an "Ultimate" subscription it should include everything there is to offer and not have add-ons that cost more. I was interested in the fact that the subscription shows to have a VPN included but when you install it you only get it free for 2 months and then you are auto billed for a complete year. I feel the description is misleading. I have used AVG's free program many years ago and it seemed to work well hopefully the "Ultimate" system will do the same.

I had used the AVG free protection in the past and was happy to install this new product on my LG Laptop. Setup was a breeze and I was quickly able to setup the other features of offered, ie, Tuneup, VPN and password protection. I was running my first scan in minutes and the scan only took moments to finish,. I then ran the tuneup to cleanup some unnecessary files and startup items, this was super easy as well. Next I tried the VPN connection to do some shopping and online banking and this "hides" me online which is great. The only drawback that I could see was that my speed was vastly under my normal connection without VPN. There were some annoying popups about additional protection for an extra cost but I went into to settings and turned that. If I was unable to stop those ads, I would have given this 3 stars. I love that this software does not slow down my PC, especially during startup. I hardly know it's there and everything is working perfectly. Looking forward to installing this on other devices.

Testing out security software is always a bit stressful to me. I do not like adding intrusive programs to my systems. This package does jump into your unit like a whale into a pool but allows for some simple tweaks to shut that mess down. I uninstalled (and reinstalled afterwards) it as well to make sure that the product would be completely removed and sure enough it does not leave tracer files even after deletion. As for if it works or not, all I can add is that I don't have any viruses and haven't had any while installed (it is a challenge to state something is working when the adverse of it not is catastrophe). Adding this to another device is quick and simple and I have the same consensus... It works. The product is always on and will give some Pointers to assist with use. Again, the choice is mine whether to utilize the suggestion or not and I like that.

If you value your privacy, just the value of the AVG Secure VPN service (which is included) in the Ultimate version - literally makes this a "Best Buy"! Easy to install, the security software not only offers some of the BEST AI driven anti-virus technology on the market - but the suite also comes with ransomware, payment, webcam, password protections...app lock, device lock, tuneup (amazing tool to optimize performance) where you WILL notice an improvement if your system is running slow. The Android version in a marvel also- AVG is a Swiss Army knife in a digital form! Makes a great additional layer to Windows Defender on Win 10 Pro - and also would be a great gift!

As far as antivirus goes, there are several options to choose from. AVG is definitely a great choice with ease to install, good feature set, and good price. I would highly recommend it.

AVG Ultimate is so much more than the basic antivirus software packages that saturate the market nowadays. It does a great job of providing antivirus protection while also offering a very useful set of tuneup options as well as a VPN. All of these things really come in handy and work exceptionally well on not just my PCs, but my Android phone as well. This makes the 5-device subscription a no-brainer if you have more than one device you would like to protect so if you are in the market for a new antivirus software package that does so much more, I highly recommend AVG Ultimate.

    Disappointing as a Mac User

I want to preface this by saying the software works great if you're a PC user, but if you're mostly on Mac, than I wouldn't bother. Firstly, there is not an "Ultimate" version download available for Mac like there is for Windows, each program needs to be downloaded individually and the license key input each time. I'm pretty tech savvy, and to be honest it took me about 4-5 hours of Googling for this mysterious Mac Ultimate version, before I gave up and decided to download the individual anti-virus software. It works really well, I know Mac's aren't known for getting viruses but they still can and it's better to be safe than sorry. I like the background definition updates and the background scanning. Though I wish it would only notify me if there were any issues needing attention, rather than after every scan or definition update. That's like your garbage man telling you after every time the picked up your trash. Yes I know you did, I can tell by the empty cans, thank you. The tune-up portion works fine, but is less effective than the Windows counterpart. Really the only "junk" it would find is app cache, which I tend to leave around unless an app is having issues. Since MacOS doesn't store OS updates the same way Windows does, there tends to be less extraneous junk lingering around on a Mac. If you're strictly a Windows user, go for it. It is honestly a great purchase. The centralized "Ultimate" hub makes installing/updating/modifying the software really simple. If you're a Mac user, since you'll need to download all the programs individually anyway, you may consider stripped down versions if you don't think that'd you use some of the options. I already have a VPN provider, and have no use for the secure browser, so if I were to do this again I'd probably just get the single Anti-virus software and use third party "cleaner" apps if I felt the need to.

In this day and age it's sad to say that we all need it and we all have to have it. I can vouch for this product that it is a great way to protect your devices. And you need everything protected these days So whatever you do make sure and get a product that covers more than one device. You think you only need it for one device but this is the connected world and you need a good product for more than one device. Simple. This is it.

What can I say about AVG Ultimate subscription? I feel like it protecting my computer and laptop and is keeping out the “bad guys” of the world, but I’d be lying if I said I was tech savvy enough to know that it is doing a good job. It was very simple to install and run a scan to show me where my weaknesses were. The annoying thing about it is, that even though it is the “Ultimate” edition, which makes me think all add-ons would be included, that’s not the case. After my first scan, I was brought to a screen about AVG’s VPN and what subscription I would like to purchase. I honestly thought I had not activated my subscription properly because it showed up. After some research and checking that I had installed it properly, I realized it was a feature of the produce. A rather annoying feature that continues to come up every time a scan is run. In short, it’s good at what it does, but in my opinion, if you are going to call something “Ultimate”, you should make it Ultimate and include all the bells and whistles.

The install is a little weird; doesnt look like you get all the features as advertised until you do some updates; after that, it appears to work as advertised.. Not sure I needed this for my Imac, but we'll see how it affects performance...so far, so good

The number of devices I have that my children have access to it's perfect. The download was quick and easy. However I dislike the small possible threat that shows at the bottom when I open up avg internet security. Only because it's another membership to join so it does leave you wondering why purchase without full protection of everything. I don't want to add another membership on top of the current one. Otherwise it works just fine with my moderate use as well as keeping my kids from downloading anything potentially harmful.
