Very cool device to own. Super small, fits on my Keychain and works with my iPhone. Its easy to use, seems very accurate and way less expensive than getting into trouble. I think everyone who goes out drinking should have a breathalyzer like this.

Setting this up with my samsung phone was a huge hassle. I had better luck with my iphone but it wouldn't always sync together. The software is also really buggy. It crashed multiple times while going through the menu. The vio itself is pretty small and compact. Results were all over the place and I couldn't take it seriously when it came time to actually use it. I think at the end of the day, a serious breathalyzer is probably going to cost you more than the vio and this is simply one of those cases of you get what you pay for. There's really not much else to say because it was a huge disappointment.

Not only is this thing really fun to use when I'm out drinking with my friends (everyone wants to see what their BAC is), it actually has made me a much more responsible drinker. Prior to getting my BACtrack, if I felt fine, and I only had to drive a short distance home, I drove - even though I knew I was probably over .08. Now, I literally haven't gotten in a car after having more than a drink or two because I have a number staring me in the face, reminding me to not be an idiot for the sake of convenience. I also realized that, for the most part, I really had no idea what my BAC actually was (and neither did my friends). We all continually guessed lower, which was a bit scary - we all consistently thought we were in better shape than we were. The "Guess Your BAC" function on the app, while seemingly kind of trivial and game-like, has actually really helped me better gauge my BAC level. Highly recommended for anyone with a lot to lose from getting a DUI (read: anyone who drinks and owns a vehicle). Trust me, your BAC is actually probably higher than you think. Use a breathalyzer to keep yourself out of trouble.

I had a lot of issues with accuracy on it this device. My friend has a professional one and this one didn't come close to it. We also had times of it saying we were sober when we weren't, or even once we had the most drunk guy at the party blow a 0.06. He was definitely not legal to drive. The app is easy to use, as well as the device. It was a very fun item, but with it being so inaccurate, there was no point to have it.

My son surprise tested me after thanksgiving dinner last week, right when i was walking out the door. Thank god he did. I was way too hammered to drive home. Didn't even know it. Double bypass surgery or no, I'm keeping this thing on me. I just bought one myself and now I plan on testing myself everytime i drink. No more drunk driving Dad.

worked really well at first but after 20 tests the software read a reading when no alcohol was present. Call tech support and they said I may have to either calibrate it. I decided to just return it to best buy.

received it has a gift and tried it out several times. test results came back very high for one glass of wine. wouldn't trust it to give accurate bac
