Just call it an animated Suicide Squad

While everyone is all about seeing the big screen adaptation of Suicide Squad, lets not forget this gem from WB/DC animated. Yeah some of the team members may be different, but the action here is definitely on par, if not better than that of the big screen movie. Plus the core characters all basically remain the same and the main conflict plays out in a more coherent manner. Highly suggested.

Batman and Harley Quinn are two of my favorite comic book characters. So I bought this and I watched it. I enjoyed it. The only thing I did not like was the actress who did Harley Quinn's voice; it was horrible. There are better voices out there. I did not feel like that was Harley Quinn. Why not get the actress who did the voice in Batman Animated Series?
Other than that it was a good movie to add to the collection.

This is another good showing for DC based more on the Arkham video game than any comic. The title is slightly misleading though as this movie is about the Suicide Squad, Batman ends up being a supporting player. This one is not for kids at all lots of adult humor/situations and the violence is not toned down. This is a movie about villains doing what they do.

This Blu-Ray for Batman: Assault on Arkham is a great purchase with loads of extra content (which is what I love about Blu-Ray)! The special features comes with a behind the scenes look at each character in the film including an in depth look at the origins of Arkham Asylum. The film itself is the perfect bridge between comic fans and avid movie goers!

This animation is based on the new Batman game series so the design and settings will be familiar to those who have played the game and will go "hey, I remember that place". It's great fun to see those places again in a different media. The storyline is very solid and great fun. I've seen all the DC animations, and I would rate this one among the very best.

I've been a DC fan for more than half my life and I loved this movie. Actually this movie is probably the reason I disliked the live action Suicide Squad so much. Some great lines, good animation and is very quotable. Worth the watch and the purchase.

Excellent movie and DCEU keeps it in line with their high standard for animation. I like Suicide Squad isn't comprised of the standard bad guy. You have Killer Frost and King Shark who don't get much story line and of course Harley Quinn who is a fan favorite. The movie has tension and twists that will entertain.

Excellent addition to the DC universe. I was a little shocked at the graphic nature of the movie, but it does have a PG-13 rating, but it is definitely not for little kids. The story was awesome and the animation quality was excellent.
As for value, I went to other stores after I bought this one (I got the one with the Harley figurine), and they were easily $2 more for just the disk and that's it.

When I saw the returning voice of Kevin Conroy, it warranted an immediate buy for me. It does honor the feel to the Batman: Arkham games, just in a traditional animated look. While it would have been nice to have Mark Hamill or Arleen Sorkin as returning voice of Joker and Harley, their replacement did a good job. Another solid fun movie.

Get ready to root for the bad guys. An action packed film with an interesting twist, following a group of villains forced to work together on a suicide mission into Arkham Asylum. Great for hardcore and casual fans alike, but not for small children due to violent and suggestive content and adult language. Well worth watching and owning.

I have already reviewed the title itself previously and am focusing on the difference between this version and the limited edition with the Harley Quinn figure. Bought this to open and watch and will leave the limited edition sealed since it's a collectible. One thing I will say about this title is it's nice to have Kevin Conroy back as the voice of Batman. Definitely worth picking up.

Not only is this a great standalone for the DC Animated universe, it also serves as a great interlude between the smash hit Arkham Asylum and Arkham City - which explains why we do or do not see certain characters in City. Highly recommended for all DC fans and those who enjoyed the recent Suicide Squad movie.

I love the Best Buy exclusives of these DC titles so this was an automatic win for me. As for the film itself I'm a huge Suicide Squad fan so this movie was right up my alley. The only downside I can think of is its not really appropriate for young kids, it gets a little graphic. But if you're an adult comic lover this ones for you!

This is a wonderful animated Batman tale but Batman really isn't the focus. Instead it covers the Suicide Squad, a group of villains banded together by the government to perform missions unsuitable for anyone else. Great film, should be checked out by anyone interested in the upcoming movie who doesn't follow the comics.

Do not expect the Super Friends, this is the dark and grown up DC characters that we all enjoy today. It was a Batman title but he is not the center and that is good. They centered on the Suicide Squad and gave the movie time to develop the characters and the team (using the word "team" loosely). DC needs to graduate the Suicide Squad to live action soon; isn't dat right Mistah J?

This film is enjoyable from beginning to end, without being among the best of the DCU animated features. The Joker-Harley dynamic is as enjoyable as it should be. Also, the story does a good job of keeping Batman an integral part of the action rather than just a marquee name to get people interested in a tale about Deadshot and his lesser known compatriots.

The movie was great but for those who are buying this for young children please note that there are scenes of extreme violence and some implied nudity. This title has characters known as the suicide squad in it and thus there are scenes of people dying in the film. If though you are a teen or up this is a great title.

Fans of the DC Animated films know that they are much better than the DC Cinematic Universe. If you didn't like the Suicide Squad movie then you should check this film out. The character development is fantastic and there's plenty of great Batman stuff as well. It fits into the Arkham game storylines but you don't need to play them to get this film.
