LOVE this keyboard case for iPad Air2

This has to be the best keyboard case ever made for the iPad. The iPad can sit in either the landscape or portrait position. Magnets hold the iPad standing-up in both positions perfectly; which also holds it closed when you aren't using it. When in the landscape position, it looks just like a mini laptop; the case is sturdy enough to have the feel and look of a laptop. The keyboard can work with two separate devices, so you can use it to type on an iPad and phone or computer at the same time by a simple touch of one button to change devices. There is a quick home button that takes you to the home screen quickly. I wasn't sure I would like having the keyboard built in the case, but it so easy to take apart (again, it's magnetic and it pulls apart, but at the same time it is strong enough to stay closed even when you pick it up) and its light weight. The portion of the case that stays on the back of the iPad protects it and fits it perfectly. I believe you can still use the Apple smart cover with the back part left on the iPad without the keyboard if you don't want to take the keyboard with you (so the front is covered). I was going to purchase the smart cover too, but decided to try it without first, and I am glad I did. After using it, I found the keyboard light enough that I prefer to take it with me, and since the keyboard holds it up I can use it in my lap. Plus, it provides great coverage for day-to-day usage (I wouldn't want to give it to kids to throw around, but for typical adult usage this is a great product). I have had it for several months and haven't charged it since the initial charge. The keyboard is backlit (this can be turned off as well). The speakers sound great and you can mute and control the volume on the keyboard (just like a laptop). I highly recommend this case!

This is a great keyboard! The charge seems to last forever, it is very easy to pair and the spacing of the keys makes typing really easy. It’s very sturdy protection for your iPad while being lighter than some of the others. The use of magnets lets you use it in either portrait or landscape mode - a great feature! So glad this is the one I chose!!

Keyboard does not stay synced with iPad, however, when it does sync the flow it's real smooth.. I've had the keyboard 5 weeks and the "M" key fell off.. Not covered under the Warranty so I'll have to mail it back.. Not a good 100 dollar investment

Hi, Merlinswizzard,
Thank you for the feedback. Having trouble in keeping the keyboard connected to your iPad Air is not a normal behavior. We recommend that a firmware update for the keyboard should be performed to avoid this kind of experience. But since one of the keys fell off, we suggest that you send us an email instead with your complete contact information at [email protected]. Kindly include a copy or screenshot of your proof of purchase and the link to this post. We'd like to look into the details for us to properly address case.
Looking forward to hear from you.

Overpriced But Excellent Keyboard

For the price I paid, I think the keyboard should be absolutely perfect. It's a good keyboard and my complaints may be considered "picky", but, I maintain, for the price I paid, the keyboard should be perfect.
Pros
1. The keyboard has an excellent "feel" to it. I don't have to press too hard to get the response, nor is the keyboard so responsive that it enters unintentional key presses.
2. The keyboard is backlit. I type a lot in bed at night in the dark. I have never understood why more keyboards don't offer the backlit option..for me, it is a critical feature.
3. It's not too heavy. So many keyboards I have purchased are too heavy. This one is not too bad.
4. 1 year battery life - well, don't know about that yet, they claim it's one year, if it is, then that is definitely a pro.
CONS
1. For the price, the part of the keyboard which covers the iPad Air 2 should MATCH. The part which covers the iPad Air 2 is a white/gray color, the keyboard is gold, like my iPad Air 2, the cover should also be gold.
2. The backlight is only offered in one color - white. Off brand keyboards usually offer multiple color choices. For one of the most expensive keyboards on the market, why doesn't this one offer multiple backlight colors?
3. The iPad Air 2 cover part does not attach tightly to the keyboard. Ok, I understand they probably wanted to make it easy to detach from the keyboard, but you can't even bend the iPad on top of the keyboard to use in tablet mode without it detaching from the keyboard portion. I don't always want the keyboard detached (sometimes I don't have anywhere to put the detached keyboard) just because I am using the iPad Air 2 in tablet mode.
4. Only two viewing angles. I have purchased a lot of keyboards, I bet in all honesty I have 4 or 5 keyboards for the iPad Air 2. Anyway, the Zagg Folio Slim (the one with the removeable cover) is one I purchased TWICE, but like so many others reported, the hinge broke on both of the Zagg units (just pathetic, but that's another story). However, the Zagg did allow for multiple viewing angles, and that was very nice.
Comments
This is a good keyboard. I know many have complained about losing the connection. I have not experienced this. However, I also have not attempted to connect my iPhone to the keyboard using the 2nd bluetooth connection. Whenever I need to type, I always pull out my iPad Air 2. So, I couldn't see the point of temping fate (if that could be causing connection problems) by connecting the phone to the keyboard which I will never use with it.
When I was complaining about the price of this keyboard, my husband asked me if it broke would I purchase another. And I responded yes. And my husband said in that case it is not overpriced. I suppose he has a point. So, take my review for what it is. But, I did choose to take a point away for the expensive price.

I love this all in one case. I wanted something to protect my new iPad and I didn't want a case, key board separately, however I wanted to be able to seperate them easily. I saw this and didn't even hesitate. Went to the store bought it and am in love. The only thing I have to say bad about the whole process is that there were no instructions. Thank goodness for YouTube.

The almost $150 price tag for this iPad Air 2 case may disinterest some people by price alone, but with all of its advantages over other keyboard cases, it's well worth it. I will point out a few things that factored in my personal decision to buy one myself.
1. The case covering the iPad is detachable from the keyboard, whether you want to flip it to its long side or use it in your hands, it's really convenient if you wan to lay down and use your iPad without holding a weird keyboard.
2. The case covering the iPad and the keyboard is really slim and not bulky at all. Belkin really did a great job designing this where it covers the iPad almost completely except on the left side where you attach it to the keyboard. The gold color really adds to the keyboards aesthetics, like it was actually made by Apple instead of Belkin.
3. The Bluetooth connectivity to two devices is REALLY useful. With the push of a simple combo of buttons on the keyboard, I can reply to a message on my phone nearby, and then resume to using my iPad.
Thank you for reading my review, I am not an expert on these things, but I thought it would at least help someone.

There are plenty of keyboard cases for the iPad Air 2 but this one is arguably the best. It combines elements of several different cases and puts them all in this one. Lightweight, attractive, easy to type on, and pretty reliable. Some people complain about the magnet but I have no problem with it. The best thing is the case separates from the keyboard. And it can be paired with an Apple Smart Cover. Pretty costly but I feel it's worth the cost.

I purchased this keypad because it matched my gold iPad. Love the colors and the weight is great. It's easy to use and can use with my cell phone also. I thought it was just a little pricey but it was one of those things that I saw, wanted and bought!

I went to the store planning to buy a Logitech keyboard case for my iPad and then I came across this one and I totally love it. It's the only case I have had on my iPad since I bought it and that was about 2 months ago. The keyboard is great for typing but the thing I love is being able to take the iPad off the keyboard with ease and being able to use it just as an iPad with a back cover. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys playing games on their iPad as well as needs a keyboard to catch up on emails and what not.

The keyboard easily fit and is easy to remove to use as a stand alone pad. Connects to ipad magnetically and cover turns it off when closed. I use it every day and rarely needs a charge, but a red light on side blinks to tell me low battery. I was able to connect it to a second devise using bluetooth without a problem. Love the keys. They are not the flat ones. Also having backlit keys is a real plus. Best Buy matched the Amazon price plus I had a $5 cupon for instant gratification.

Love this Key board, essentially turns iPad air 2 into a mini laptop. Extremely versatile. The back cover is simple, clean, thin and protects iPad. I add my iPad smart cover for daily use on the go. When I need to do reports or take notes, send email, simply attach the keyboard for amazing functionality. Dim the lights on keyboard to conserve battery life. Love the ability to have in landscape mode as well as portrait mode.

It's an excellent keyboard, very responsive, very comfortable to use, and really easy to pair. The app it's very handy and the shortcuts it provides are very useful. Definitely a must have for the avid iPad user. It changes the iPad from been an amusement device to a real work tool.

I purchased this case for my iPad I use for work. It is a great case.
1. Great look
The aesthetics of the case appealed to me. It matches my Gold iPad Air 2 very well, and looks very sturdy
2. Functionality
The iPad can be detached (attaches to the case magnetically) and can be used in both landscape or portrait mode. LOVE IT
3. One MINOR drawback
The spacing for the keyboard doesn't seem as natural as notebooks. But that is one tiny drawback.

Best keyboard for the money

I test-typed every keyboard out there and spent tons of time reviewing them. After dropping that much money on the iPad, you want to make sure you get the best. I did. Synchs easily. Quiet, responsive keyboard. Long battery life. Professional looking. Lightweight.
The only downside is that it's not at all durable so it's not ideal if you use the iPad while working out, but then again, that's not what it's made for. Removing the iPad from the Belkin case is easy. Just buy a thick plastic case for 10 bucks and you're in business.

This is a good keyboard in all aspects, though I am having to get used to it attaching to the iPad magnetically (often inadvertently pull it off). Still, it is great to use in both portrait and landscape. Easy to type on.

This case looks excellent until you compare similar cases in price, function and durability. For less than half the price of this case you can actually get a better case. The main difference is the keyboard is heavier with more support and looks really great. Most of the models also look more feline than masculine which limits you by choice. Most men are tired of black or white and need some other options which this was limited to. I would recommend this product to a friend if they wanted a High end case but I would also advise that there are cases half of the price that do the same but may not look the same. Remember the saying, looks can be deceiving. Especially in this Case. :-)

I love the rose gold finish and the slim look, an elegant companion to my iPad. I had some difficulty pairing it at first and had to reset it a few times but it is now working fine. One draw back of this model is that the two sections can become easily detached so be cautious. Overall satisfied with the case.
