Fortunately, Best Buy knew exactly what it was and had it in stock, which is great because I might need it for a future job. It works perfectly.

I could connect on both surface dock and MacBook Air , works good on both , my monitor doesn’t have speakers on it so not sure if audio is transferred through the connector however video is good ! No lag nor quality issue

I just don't think I want to keep it after it easily broke when I try to disconnect the HDMI from it (as shown in the picture I attached). I think I might just get me a HDMI to DVI cord versus just an adapter.

Used to connect 2nd monitor to docking station

The adapter allowed me to use the second monitor's hdmi cord to plug into the mini port. It worked the first time without any problems.

Setup was simply a matter of plugging the adapter into my MacBook and then connecting the Dell with an HDMI cable. Started up worked flawlessly.
