Membership Paid for on First Purchase - No Brainer

Whenever I am asked to pay to get savings I have to stop and look carefully at what I'm being offered. Most of the time I'm someplace I'll never come back to and I want the discount on my one purchase, most likely because I will never return to that store. But this is Best Buy, and let's face it, I'm going to end up dropping money here more often than I probably should. For 50 dollars a year, the Best Buy Plus membership is not a bad deal. It was paid for out of my first purchase of a MacBook where I saved 50 dollars because of the membership (so it was "free"). So now for the year, I get access to certain items with an extra discount which is nice. But there is more!!! Once I looked over the dashboard (yes, you get your own dashboard) there are a few more perks that come with the membership: 1. There is an assortment of free trials for decent amounts of time that you can dip into. 2. You get 60 days instead of 30 days to return things, so try and buy to your heart's content (you break it you buy it) 3. I'm impatient when it comes to shipping. If I'm laying to some good money I want my product immediately. But we all know everything isn't in stock, so two-day free shipping is a perk, not bad, and on part with Amazon Prime. 4. There is also a rewards point thing that you get discounts and rewards depending on how much you spend, and that brings us to the bad part. Now the only thing that I don't like about the membership (and it probably isn't even their fault, I'm sure it is some arrangement with Apple) is that those points that you get, well, you don't get them on Apple products (and where does most my money go?) so for all the money I spend on Apple Products they don't reward me for the future. Beyond that, I have nothing bad to say, especially since it was at no additional cost in my case. Oh, and don't forget, for like 130 dollars more you can get the tech support and warranty package which does include Apple Care+ so that looks like a great value also.

Best membership for any tech lover

It costs $49.99 a year, but I’ve already saved more than that just from the member-only deals. I got a great price on a laptop and even saved money on headphones and accessories I was planning to buy anyway. The discounts pop up more often than I expected, so I don’t have to wait for Black Friday to score a good deal. The free two-day shipping with no minimum is a huge win. I’ve used it for smaller things like HDMI cables and controllers, and they show up super fast with no extra fees or hassle. The extended sixty-day return policy has also saved me once or twice when I wasn’t sure about a big purchase. It just takes the stress out of buying tech, which I really appreciate. I also love that members get early access to sales. I managed to grab a TV before it sold out, and that pretty much sealed the deal for me. Shopping online feels easier too because checkout is quicker and I get special offers that fit what I’m actually looking for. All in all, My Best Buy Plus™ just makes shopping smoother and cheaper. If you buy a few things from Best Buy each year, this membership is a no-brainer. It basically pays for itself, and the perks make it feel like you’re getting VIP treatment without paying VIP prices.

I’m not really good at writing reviews, but I have to say that the product that I bought really does save a lot. I bought a pair of Bose open ears that I’m not gonna be giving to my daughter until April 7 because that’s when her birthday is and this product allows me the opportunity to bring them back if there’s something wrong with them versus 15 days well worth it and it also covers other products that you have bought so can’t go wrong with that it’s covering everything that I buy gotta love it. Gotta love it gotta love it.

It seems like a good deal but I'm already using a subscription like Amazon Prime, so I'm not sure where I'm getting any deals from this one since I'm limited to electronics and appliances. This came as part of a promotion to purchase something else, buying the Plus membership, which brought down the price of the item I was buying, but now I'm temporarily locked into a subscription for both things until I cancel, and I'm not a fan of subscriptions.

I’ve been a member at Best Buy for a while now, and overall I’m really happy with it. The membership gives me peace of mind, especially when buying electronics. I like knowing that I have extended protection and support if something goes wrong. One of the biggest benefits for me is the tech support. It’s convenient to get help when I need it, and the return process feels easier and less stressful. I also appreciate getting exclusive deals and member pricing — sometimes the savings actually make a difference. For anyone who buys electronics regularly, I think the membership can be worth it. It really depends on how often you shop there, but for me, it’s been a good experience so far.

’m very satisfied with the My Best Buy Plus™ Yearly Membership. The benefits are genuinely useful, especially the extended return period, exclusive member pricing, and special deals throughout the year. It has already saved me time and money on multiple purchases, and the member-only offers make it worthwhile. The program is easy to use, and the benefits are applied automatically at checkout, which is very convenient. Overall, this membership offers excellent value for frequent shoppers and is a smart addition if you regularly shop at Best Buy. Highly recommended.

I would say this membership is only useful if you spend a lot at Best Buy, and/or are purchasing gifts months before big events or holidays. It’s not often that my desired items are on an exclusive plus/total membership deal. I can see spending $30 a year, but $50 feels a bit excessive. Besides my critics, I do enjoy the benefit of the 60 days return/exchange period as I am procrastinate a lot. I often see a lot of customers try to return their items well out of the 15 day return period. This membership would be mostly beneficial to these types of people.

Signing up for Best Buy’s yearly membership was one of the best decisions I’ve made when it comes to shopping for electronics, appliances, and pretty much everything tech-related. At first, I wasn’t sure if it would be worth the cost, but after a few months of using it, I can honestly say it’s already paid for itself several times over. The biggest perk for me has been the free shipping and faster delivery. I order a lot online—whether it’s new gadgets, accessories, or even just essentials like chargers—and not having to worry about shipping fees adds up quickly. On top of that, orders often arrive way faster than I expect, which makes it incredibly convenient when I need something in a pinch. Another huge benefit is the exclusive member pricing. There have been countless times where I’ve seen a product I wanted—like a pair of headphones or a video game—and noticed that the membership discount knocked off more than I even paid for the membership itself. Between those savings and special deals only members get access to, it really feels like I have a VIP pass to the store. Then there’s the extended return window. I can’t stress enough how nice it is to have extra time to try out a product before committing. With tech purchases, sometimes you need a little longer to see if it fits your lifestyle, and this membership gives you that breathing room without stress. It’s peace of mind that’s worth its weight in gold. What I also love is the free Geek Squad support. Anytime I’ve had a question—whether it was setting up a new smart home device or troubleshooting my laptop—the support was just a call or chat away. They’re knowledgeable, patient, and it feels like having a personal tech team on standby whenever you need help. Finally, the membership makes shopping at Best Buy feel rewarding. Between the bonus points on purchases, early access to hot sales, and the fact that I don’t have to think twice about shipping or returns, it’s completely transformed the way I shop. It’s convenient, stress-free, and surprisingly fun knowing I’m always getting the best deal possible. All in all, Best Buy’s yearly membership is a no-brainer for anyone who shops for electronics even a few times a year. It saves money, time, and stress, and it adds an extra layer of confidence to every purchase. For me, it’s been worth every penny—and then some.

2 day free shipping, 60-day return window, exclusive member pricing and a 60-day price match guarantee, it is amazing how much value you get out of this membership. For $50 yearly, if you’re a big shopper at Best Buy, this is for you. I’ve bought countless items through Best Buy such as laptops, appliances, tablets, you name it, and I’m always saving money with the help of this membership. I combine these benefits with my Best Buy credit card which gives me points on top of my purchases, and I can’t stop winning.

Since I signed up for the Best Buy Plus membership, the exclusive member pricing and free 2-day shipping have already saved me a significant amount of money and time. I really appreciate the extended 60-day return window, which gives me much-needed peace of mind when testing out new tech to ensure it actually fits my needs. Between the immediate discounts on big-ticket items and the convenience of quick delivery without a minimum spend, the membership has proven to be a high-value investment for someone who shops for electronics even a few times a year

Having the membership has been a good experience overall. My only critique is after purchasing a laptop during a doorbuster event, I received a notification that I earned $25 for the purchase. After not receiving an email, I contacted Best Buy via chat and was told the $25 is only applied as a credit for those who have the Best Buy credit card. It didn’t say anything about this when I received the notification in the app, so this was confusing and disappointing at the same time. Other than that, the membership has been great so far, and I’ve purchased several other items at Best Buy.

I recently purchased this plan because it offers several benefits such as special pricing, cashback, and price protection, which made it seem like a very good deal. So far, I haven’t had the opportunity to receive or use any of these benefits on my purchases yet. Because of that, I can’t fully evaluate the value of the plan at this moment. However, the features offered are very attractive, and I’m hoping to take advantage of them in future purchases. For now, I believe the plan has good potential, but I’m still waiting to experience the benefits it advertises.

As a frequent Best Buy shopper who's always upgrading gadgets and appliances, the Total membership has been a game-changer at $179.99 a year. For starters, the unlimited 24/7 Geek Squad tech support covers everything in my home—even stuff bought elsewhere—which saved me a headache when my non-Best Buy laptop crashed last month. They handled diagnostics and repairs remotely in under an hour. Plus, up to 24 months of free product protection on new purchases (including AppleCare+ for Macs) gives real peace of mind; I've already filed a claim on a TV mount install gone wrong, and it was covered no questions asked. The perks don't stop there: free shipping on everything, priority access to hot drops like new GPUs, and exclusive discounts on services like in-home setups (I got my treadmill assembled for zero extra). Overall rating: 4.5/5 stars. It's worth every penny if you're tech-heavy, but if you rarely buy electronics, stick to the basic tier. Highly recommend for households with multiple devices!

This year I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and a PlayStation 5 from Best Buy. Here’s my experience: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6: I’ve been thrilled with my purchase. The foldable design is innovative and adds a lot of versatility to my daily use. The screen quality is exceptional, making it perfect for both work and entertainment. However, the battery life could be better, especially with heavy usage. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the product. PlayStation 5: The PlayStation 5 has been a game-changer for my gaming experience. The graphics are stunning, and the load times are incredibly fast. The only downside is that it can be a bit bulky, but that’s a minor issue compared to the overall performance. Customer Service: Both purchases were smooth, and the staff at Best Buy were helpful in answering my questions and ensuring I had everything I needed. Overall, I’m very pleased with my purchases from Best Buy and would highly recommend them!

    My Best Buy Membership

Overall not a bad plan, if you purchase a lot of tech through Best Buy. Personally Best buy is where I always look and check 1st, the fact I have close by helps too, but honestly the exclusive deals and savings that go with membership make it well worth the $50, imho. Only thing, My membership got tacked onto a purchase I had made by a floor Rep, then forgotten all about (or overlooked or unaware during purchase tbh, still not sure which, probably both) and when it auto renewed a year later at exactly 12a 0 dark 0 from Denver Colorado, my bank immediately flagged it as unauthorized, all while I slept. Not recognizing it before coffee I confirmed the rejection, and the transaction became completely mucked up..So, I let it rest for awhile, b and never renewed even after finally realizing what it was, dug through my history and confirmed that I guess I did pay for it last year . Again, The plan itself is probably worth it you shop here a lot, but they should really send out reminders, bells and whistles, etc well in advance and change the auto-renew from 1 sec past midnight, as it comes off as trying to "slip one by" both the customer and obv the bank, too. I think in the end I didn't like the way it went down, the lack of transparency, and the fact it was apparently a sales comiss "tag-on" tb with. If they changed these practices, I'd probably sign back up and recommend more, but tbh, it left w a weird a taste, so just haven't.. I may reconsider if they offered again and posted frequent transparent reminders and alerts to our account and esp emails that I still get flooded with.. Subscriptions these days seem to count on ppl not exactly knowing they have subscriptions. Can you imagine making money creating simple apps off the fact ppl can't even keep track of their own subs and memberships bc we're so inundated?! The transparent Co's get my cont'd business. The "slip one by" Co's do not. Imo, a personal rule that wld serve others well too, and remind Co's integrity still matters if you want our business.. Again, I'd still "highly recommend" the My Best Buy Membership to techy friends & fam, especially protections that come with it..but then immediately warn them about the auto-renew process.

My Best Buy Plus (typically $49.99/year) offers solid perks if you regularly shop at Best Buy, though the value depends heavily on your purchasing habits. Pros: Free standard shipping with no minimum purchase, exclusive member prices on select items, extended 60-day return window (vs. 15 days standard), early access to sales and product launches, 2-day shipping on thousands of items, points earn faster than free tier. Cons: Annual fee doesn't pay for itself unless you shop frequently, some "exclusive" deals aren't significantly better than sale prices, points system can be confusing, membership benefits overlap with credit card perks if you have both. Verdict: Best Buy Plus makes sense if you purchase electronics or appliances multiple times per year. The extended return window alone provides peace of mind on big-ticket items, and free shipping saves money quickly. However, occasional shoppers who only visit Best Buy once or twice annually should stick with the free My Best Buy tier. Calculate your typical annual shipping costs and purchase frequency to determine if the membership pays for itself.Incognito chats aren’t saved to history or used to train models.

A great deal, UNLESS what you want is discontinued

I joined because this replaced the old Best Buy Rewards program, which I had been a member of since its beginning. Unfortunately some marketing "genius" up the corporate ladder decided to discontinue the primary merchandise I had been purchasing from Best Buy for decades. I have been an avid collector of physical media (CD, DVD, BD, 4K, etc) since the formats first launched and Best Buy has always been my dependable primary source. But now they have short-dightedly chosen to discontinue selling physical media. Recent trends are showing a rising backlash by audiophile and videophile against digital downloads and streaming services upon discovering that providers are arbitrarily deleting content due to data storage limitations. Even deleting legitimately licensed and purchased downloads without compensation or recourse to the buyer. This is accompanied by rising embrace of physical formats which can't be deleted by faceless 3rd parties. Now is the time for retailers to get ahead of the curve and start aggressively promoting the advantages and availability of physical media over streaming and downloading. Pending a change in Best Buy's new policy on physical media, I have no further use for My Best Buy and will likely not renew my membership.
