It's rare that I can say that my money was well spent, but it was well spent on Total Tech Support membership. My daughter in grad school could use it, and I could use it with mine. Since she has many technical questions and sometimes problems in order to get her grad school work done, it was a relief that she had a friendly, knowledgeable staff to assist her. As a senior citizen for whom technology is sometimes frustrating, it has been wonderful to have a dependable, friendly, and efficient pre-paid help center so I didn't have to worry about what it might cost to get a question answered or something fixed. When purchasing a new dishwasher, washer and dryer, and several tv's, I was pleasantly surprised to see the helpful Total Tech member discounts on extended warranties and the waiver of delivery fees on some products. I was also happy with the Total Tech discount on the purchase of Office 365 that was available when I purchased Total Tech service and when I renewed at the end of the year. Having used a small, independent computer repair company several years ago and being discouraged by both how long it took and how much it cost, my experience with Best Buy's Total Tech membership has been far better in every way. I highly recommend it.

I was apprehensive about buying the Tech Support Package when I bought my laptop because I never purchase these types of plans. But, the salesperson gave such a great presentation, which I respected, so I decided to give it a shot.
Wow, they were right. I have gotten so much use out of my Total Tech Support Membership it is almost embarrassing. They are only one phone call away when you are having a computer crisis or you just need your computer scanned for viruses. They also can help with so many other things like appliances. The other thing is that every encounter I have had with a Tech Support member has been so positive. They are always so kind, helpful, polite as well as being extremely knowledgeable. The only issue I have run into is having a problem that they can't fix over the phone and being told to go into the store. It has been an update issue from the day I purchased the computer from Best Buy and now with COVID it seems crazy to have to pay $50 to pay someone to come to my house (and socially distance) to fix it. Maybe there should be some extenuating circumstances house calls.

With all the included services associated with total tech support was a good investment for just in case technical difficulties. Although I hadn’t needed to use it at all this past year, I’m thankful it auto renews. Yes, a notice is sent in advance. Few years ago, I made a very large purchase and purchased an extended tech support plan good for 1 year. I chose note to renew when that time came. Big mistake!
Main reason to auto renew and no lapse with the plan, 1 gives you options for discounted pricing and rewards. But more importantly, you’ll never find that same plan for the original promotional price later. If you need help, after your plan expired , although many options are available and good plans. Had you auto renew it would have save me more money stress and time.
Great value for the money. Highly recommend even if you don’t use it. I’ve been told, it works on any computer, tv and phones in your home regardless of where you purchased and age if product. Definitely going to explore other benefits that are included in the annual tech support plan.

I've had total tech for the past 3 years. The staff at the store has always been very helpful in resolving any computer problems. I learned that I can have a tech come to my house to help with with tech problems during my visit to buy a new TV. The tech visits were great and helped me with a headphone setup that I was unable to figure out by myself. This tech was Sebastian. Then a few days late Tuula came out to my house to help me maximize my internet set up. Tuula was also very helpful and gave me some good ideas to make internet reception better at my house. Thank you to both of these of these knowledgeable persons. Being able to have this service really covers the cost of my total tech geek squad subscription.

I have been using this support for several years, actually it had been very exceptional when I have needed help with my computers except for the last year in the last year I have been disappointed due to the lack of people which speak fluent English vocabulary passing this overseas to be done with my computers. I do not agree with and also I do not agree with taking jobs from people within the United States. I do have two renew my contract which I probably will, but with in the next time. It does not change. I will have to reconsider
I would also like to say I quit using the technical support from you people for my TVs because it is easier for me to get help from my friends and neighbors to get the assistance I need whenever I call them the first thing they wanted to send somebody to my home and charge me money for this. I do not agree with that, especially when purchasing a team that costs several dollars. As you know, I am very disappointed in that is why I no longer use that service

Where ELSE would you go, if something happened in the middle of the night, or weekend when you really needed to get your technology to work with you (instead of against you?!). While just knowing our Geek Squad Agent is there and available 24/7, I have yet to make time to really leverage them beyond initial installations in the home. However, there have been many times we've visited our local BB to meet with our favorite Agent (now graduated to another position), in person, and receive a personalized lesson on our software, and demonstration of the use of our integrated devices . . . everything seems to be integrated now . . . must make another appointment soon, with a list of questions, they always seem to have the answers for, and expertise on hand, or the ability to get them.

As a frequent cust, this is great. More people would use it if there were a guide but it's a nightmare to reach chat. I want to talk to someone on the phone. The service is a bit expensive as is. An advanced reminder for renewal before you charge would reduce cancellations. It would be much more valuable if youd add incentives to renew & if you'd add a truly USEABLE 'hard good' BONUS item & an ENTICING price reduction or if you don't want to cheapen the overall value of the service you could add a gift certificate based on a sliding scale for every year you renew (ie $10, $15, $20, $25, etc) with no exp date toward next purchase or even toward the renewal. These are just thoughts that would really add value, reduce cancellations, increase renewals and more importantly add new customers.

Had problems with our new LG soundbar. Brought it in to Best Buy, Spanish Springs and they shipped it to LG where it was repaired. Great to not have to send it back ourselves.
We were impressed with Jeff from the Geek Squad. He called to make an appointment with us to pickup the sound bar and explain what problems LG had found. Thank you! We were impressed with how much Jeff enjoys his job and the customers he helps.
We have purchased numerous products from Best Buy in the last year and have been impressed with everyone who has helped us. If they can't answer a question we have about a product they do the research to find an answer or find someone who knows a little more about the product than they do. The amount of knowledge every associate has about products is impressive.
We have found that if Best Buy does not have a product in stock they can usually order it. We have been able to purchase some up-scale or unusual items this way. The price is always competitive. Great place to shop for appliances and electronics!!! To make things even better, there is a Geek Squad to help us when needed.

Best Buy Geek Squad & Total Tech Support makes everything simple and most years we get value of the membership. The techs are excellent, friendly gurus to help explain how to make tech products work for you and easy to use. If I have a question about how to fix the problem, they are almost always able to help. Sometimes the fix requires a fee but they have always been reliable, accurate, and efficient in diagnosis. I have my own business so they are my tech support team. Highly recommend the membership to the Total Tech Support. There are many perks that you may not realize are included. The discounts on services (in-home installations, appliance disposal, etc) are perks and are what made us decide to re-enroll when they changed the program. I have been impressed and kudos to Best Buy for finding a real solution to staying relevant as a local brick and mortar store in an online world. We are fans.

We are senior citizens who keep up with technology like we always have but things change so quickly today, we often need help. In the past, well, the distant past, once we understood our phone and the plan that comes with it, we were done with phone changes for a few years. Now, phones, tv’s, computers, etc. change sometimes within a few months. We rely on the Geek Squad to help us. We can purchase a new ________(fill in the blank), and we are guided to something that meets our needs. Then, we are helped when we reach the limits of our current knowledge in person at the store or at our home. New TV’s are installed in our rooms with instruction on how they work and what to do if....
When we go to the Geek desk for our appointment with a piece of new technology, we are patiently listened to, gently instructed on how to use the device and/or what to do next. We never feel hurried and we are impressed with the patience the tech has. Having this service is invaluable to us. Give it a try. We think you’ll appreciate it, no matter what your age.

Most of the Geek Squad reps are top of the line--really know how to troubleshoot and fix laptop and desktop problems, including tuning them up. I've been a Total Tech Support member (using Geek Squad) for about seven years now and will renew my subscription with them in October. I recently had a problem with the camera on my laptop and could not figure out why it wasn't working with some of the Zoom meetings but was fine with others; I'm proficient with computers, had some friends and neighbors who were younger and more up to date with hardware and software than myself, and they were unable to find a solution. Neither was IT from my job, the people who set me up on their program. But the Geek Squad rep had it working in less than fifteen minutes as well as updating all of my outdated apps and was finished tweaking my laptop into good-as-new order in less than an hour (including wait time and transfer time to connect with the tech rep). Both the initial contact rep and the tech rep were bright, caring, and took care of me in a timely and satisfactory manner--very rare to get good service from anyone these days.

The guys that came to our house to set up our new Samsung and surround sound were FANTASTIC. We had Fabio & Joseph and 2nd time Tech Support came out was with Ryan Pollscheck and so sorry I don't remember his partner's name. But all these guys were FANTASTIC!! You couldn't ask for better support. I recommend Tech Support Geek Squad all the time! Truly worth it!! And if anyone deserves a raise it's these guys that go that xtra mile to help the customer!!!!!

I've had GeekSquad tech support 5 or 6 years but last year I purchased a new Kenwood DNN992 for my truck, I struggled with who I was going to get to install it but finally decided to use Best Buy to do it because the work area is always clean and best I hate leaving my truck with people when I can't see what's going on, so they don't have a problem with that and as a matter of fact they have chairs for the customers to kick back and watch or whatever you feel like doing while you're there. Okay so I called and then went by so I could meet the installer and talk about the install cost, but to my surprise, they had an add-on to tech support called total tech support and it was about 80.00 more per year but my install didn't cost me anything. And as well today I set up another appointment to have a haloview 2.4G digital wireless monitor 2 camera system installed which is covered in my total tech support too. I mean I am 67 now and love having the good folks at best buy help me with almost anything.

Total Tech Support has provided me with peace of mind
whether I rely on the Geek Squad for computer or I Phone
support and problem-solving. The technicians are very
knowledgeable and easy to work with whether I have an
in-person appointment at Best Buy, phone appointment, or
an in-home session. In addition, Total Tech Support solves
my problems in a very timely manner with convenient appointment times and quick turn-around time for repairing
my computer.

This is the best tech support I've ever seen. Prompt action, courteous and knowledgeable techs Even in these difficult times my call was answered quickly and if the initial tech cannot completely solve your problem they quickly get you in touch with a level 2 tech. This tech completely scans and gets rid of all malware and possible viruses that may be on your computer. We have a desk top computer, 2 lap tops, an 2 i-pads and 2 cell phones; all of which are serviced through my plan. They even helped me reset my google mini home when I moved and had to change the wi-fi network. Can't say enough good things about these techs. Last item I had to clean out was my desk top which they did (since this one took over an hour to clean);they did it overnight so I wouldn't be without it during the day. Best dollar for dollar purchase I've made. Strongly suggest you get it.

Hector and the team at the Best Buy store in Homestead, Florida, were the best. I was traveling through town, and my computer was splitting apart. I took it to them, and Hector immediately accessed it and discovered the battery was swelling. He helped me order one on Amazon and installed it in a couple of days when it arrived. He helped me tremendously.

I had a head unit installed into my car and was told that Total Tech Support will cover the install and any troubleshooting and man is that ever true. I had the head unit, amp, subwoofer, and replaced all of my speakers. Total Tech covered all of the installs and the many times I had to go back as we had to do some tuning and filter placement on some of the speakers (Car Audio is an art form that I have 0 skill in).
Then I found out that it now acts as a warranty as well, which is great because I have had some small issues with a few parts and total tech covered my replacements/exchanges.

I am glad that we have been subscribed to the Geek Squad total tech for several years now. When needed I was able to get a Geek Squad tech to come to my house and do what was needed for me to be able to use the computers I had... I just changed from a PC to a MAC and had a young tech come and make the transfers from my PC to the MAC...
But since I am on a MAC, I have problems getting used to the new system and had to get in touch with Geek Squad techs to help me... though due to the pandemic, I eventually was able to speak with technicians who have always been very helpful.
I think that the Geek Squad Support membership is a good thing to have for computer users. It might be somewhat expensive for computer users, but so far I would say it was worth it!

I have had both my PC, Mac laptop and my current HP laptop routinely scanned for issues and optimization. I was very happy with their work. I have had to have my PC rescued from very malicious activity twice, it has saved me from irreparable damage. (Always go through the Best Buy site to get to the Geek Squad.) I have even had remote assistance, twice, to repair the driver (lost every time Windows 10 updated) for my speakers; this was performed quickly without the effort to take my PC in to the store, AND didn't have to put up with glaring silence for any length of time while they fixed it.
One tip: Always go through the Best Buy site to get to the Geek Squad; there are evil people just waiting for the opportunity to get into your computer.
I would recommend Geek Squad protection to anyone wanting the security of safe tech support.

This has been one of the best purchases I could have made. I have 4 machines and there are always minor issues to be worked. Lately I have had some issues with a Windows update not going in right and breaking MS Word. Before that it was an Outlook issue, before that I lost a drive on my main desktop. All of that work was covered by my Elite Support membership. If you try the route of paying for these kinds of things as they occur, I think you are going to end up paying more and not get the other benefit of being able to just start a chat session with them to ask a question. I have used my subscription to get advice on hardware choices for future purchases as well as remote support for small issues. Its worth the peice of mind to have this subscrption.
