My boyfriend bought me a massger for xmas, but with the pain in my back, i can't evectively use it, especially when he isn't here to help (obviously i cant hold the machine on my own back). With this, i can eleminate that pain very easily. And all by myself. II absolutely love my purchae. Very easy to use and affordable compared to others like it.

I’ve been in need of a tens machine because I play sports and workout majority of the week. My msucles have been very sore and I’m not always abel to go to the trainer room to get on the tens machines they have or get treatment for my soreness. So I thought of a portable tens machine and have been wanting to buy one for a while now. This is the perfect tens machine to meet your neeeds

The Beurer EM59 Digital TENS device is most assuredly the complete deal. For those that rely on a Tens device for pain relief and to promote muscle stimulation and who are looking for an affordable, up-to-date & modern version - this is the one. The optional heat function is a nice bonus feature and works very well. We are believers in this bit of tech and have routinely used an aging non-Beurer model to relieve muscle tension and back pain. What sets this Tens device apart is all the modern features and its ease of use. The device turns on fast and after a quick review of the owner's manual, the controls become easily understood. Personally, we prefer the standard Tens functions - which are the 1st level of settings accessed following the power on. Intensity is easily adjusted at the onset and easily increased or lowered during the pre-programmed time spans. We find this level of visual control & simplicity to be the most desirable feature of this unit. There are 12 program levels in the Tens section, 32 program segments in the EMS section and each section also includes 3 additional memory spaces to add your own customized 'profiles' - translating to 6 total customized profiles. This is an advanced level of customization we hadn't expected. The graphical display is clear, bright and easy to understand during the first day - even hours - of usage. The button layout is optimal and the visual feedback is top notch. I was really happy to see a modern device including a USB-C charging port - making the Beurer EM59 Digital TENS device very versatile. Who doesn't have extra charging adapters lying around? The entire system is very robust in design and the quality of workmanship that went into the design is very apparent as soon as you open the box. The robust cabling harness, the electrodes and the main unit are all solidly constructed. At the time of this review, I was unable to find readily available gel pads to go on the electrode pads but those that are included with the system are easily cleaned & maintained with water and a lint-free cloth. Just make sure to have clean skin prior to use as the skins natural body oils will impede your ability to get a firm application of the pads. We were able to get more than 5 full, 30-minute Tens sessions (without heat and at moderate strength levels...) after the first initial charge and there was still approx. 1/3 of battery level remaining. And no more wasteful alkaline battery replacement. Outstanding! Depending on if you are new to Tens therapy or accustomed to a very old unit, I'd recommend that you start at low intensity levels - say - below a strength value of 18 for either channel. (1 channel = 1 pair of electrode pads...). This unit is capable of packing a real punch if you position the pads close to each-other, thereby focusing on a small surface area of your body. For instance, we primarily love Tens therapy on the area around the base of the neck and spanning across each shoulder blade area. Obviously, individual responses will vary, so just start off with lower intensity sessions - and work up from there. It's worth noting that the owner's manual included with the Beurer EM59 Digital TENS device is very detailed and masterfully written. There is full coverage of all the preprogrammed functions + clear instructions how to create custom profiles along with a solid troubleshooting guide. Kudos to Beurer for putting so much thought into the manual. Using the Beurer EM59 Digital TENS device for light to moderate massage & relaxation in conjunction with the heat option is also a real bonus to us.... hence the title of this review. If you 're looking for a very handy, well designed & great performing Tens unit - look no further - This is the One! Pros: Compact yet very ergonomic Bright, easy to understand displays + uncomplicated controls Robust design elements, from the harness down to the base unit. USB Type C charging port Great strength & effect for such a small device Excellent battery life and quick charging Cons: None really - as long as the gel pads become readily available Highly recommended!

EMS/TENS IN ONE UNIT! The unit has multiple EMS specific & TENS specific preset programs along with manual settings for both modalities. It has a built-in two setting heat feature (it is optional) that warms each lead during therapy. The user manual is quite in clear regarding the difference between the modalities, lead placement, etc. The manual has multiple illustrations for lead placement. I got five 30 minute uses before first required charge. The down side is the lead gel pads are delicate & require replacement more frequently than I would’ve thought..they’re not very expensive but as far as I can tell, you can only order from the Beuer company in the UK. Even if you order them from Breuer on Amazon, they still come from the UK so quite a bit of travel time..just to note.

I have lower back pain as well as occasional pain in my neck and shoulders, so I was excited to try this device since it combined TENS/EMS with heat. Setup involved fully charging the unit, attaching the gel-pads to the electrodes, and then connecting the electrodes to the unit. After reading through the manual (about 10-15 mins), I selected one of the pre-configured EMS programs for my low back and started the unit. The device allows the user to configure their own treatment programs, but I’m comfortable using the pre-loaded programs (15 TENS/35 EMS). The onscreen menu is simple to use; easy to navigate, and clear about what area of the body is targeted by the program you’re selecting. All the pre-configured programs have a 30-minute runtime, so after starting the device and selecting the desired strength for both sets of electrodes, I just settled back in my chair and went back to work. At about the 10-minute mark, I decided to see how well the heat function worked, and I was pleasantly surprised. The heat is great! It was easily felt on both low and high settings, but I wound up leaving it on high for the duration of the treatment. When the treatment was over, I removed the electrodes and rinsed the gel-pads with water (as suggested) and dried them with a lint-free cloth (I used a cloth used to clean glasses). So far, I’ve used the device 4 times, and the battery still shows 2/3 power, and that’s after using heat during several of the treatments! The gel-pads appear to be holding up well, so I’m hoping they don’t have to be replaced too often, since I haven’t been able to track down a price for them. All-in-all, I’m very pleased with this product. It’s much more robust than the other TENS unit I have in that it provides numerous pre-configure programs, both TENS and EMS, and it has heat… and the heat is wonderful. I would personally recommend this product to anyone looking a product to help with muscle pain/tightness.

Beurer - Digital TENS Device w/ Heat Beurer - Digital TENS Device w/ Heat As I get older, I realize that pain and discomfort will occur more often than in the past. I was experiencing pain in my right shoulder and the right side of my neck so I thought I would give this product a try I realized after receiving the product, that this was more complicated than I thought. The product includes a very detailed and technical manual. My wife did the research as to how this product could be used. With the pain on my back right shoulder, I could not apply the pods myself. Additionally, the manual states that it should not be used on the neck for health safety reasons. My wife applied the pods connected to a control unit which control the levels of heat and vibration. At first, we set the levels at a moderate level and increased them gradually. At most, raised the levels to about 25% of maximum. The heat and vibration levels were tolerable without much discomfort. After two treatments, the pain in my shoulder was greatly reduced through I still have discomfort in my neck. Overall, it would seem the product works well for the purpose I used it. There are other aspects of the unit that I have not explored but I feel certain that I will be using it again in the future. I liked the results of reduced pain and discomfort I disliked the complicated user manual and the inability to apply the pods myself. Nonetheless, I would recommend the product for anyone experiencing pain and discomfort in the back and body extremities.

This is a great device if you're injured or just want extra muscle stimulation. I've been using it on my shoulder because of an injury during sports. The ability to add heat puts it steps over many of the other portable EMS/TENS devices out there. It feels better and allows me to go longer. When i was signed up for and paying for PT, between exercises they'd have me hooked up to a machine that basically did the same thing, though its base was much larger and obviously more expensive. With the belt clip, once i hook myself up and start the program, i just lock the controls, clip to my pants and then do chores around the house or do my work from my desk. Programs last a half hour and can easily be paused. After a morning session during a meeting, i was able to do some exercise. Be careful when adjusting the intensity, it goes quite high. likely more than anyone would reasonably want to use. There are separate controls for each pair of contact pads which is nice if you want it more intense in one spot than another. Bonus points to this for using USB-C and not some propriety connector or barrel jack. Now i have one less cord to pack when travelling, or if I'm without a cord, it wouldn't be hard to get one to charge up. My arm/shoulder felt much better. Looking forward to seeing how effective this is over a longer period of time. Especially the EMS side for muscle stimulation. would be a nice additive to my regular sports/exercise to see if there's additional muscle toning benefits

The Beurer - Digital TENS Device maybe a simple TENS device but it actually has some value to it. First, it has rechargeable battery include with a USB-C. (And though not an issue for me, but it most devices save cellphones and TWS earbuds still have the older micro-USB standard.) Size like a medium-sized cell phone the Beurer TENS device is actually a multi-function device. Of course it has the TENS function for muscle pain relief. But since this device emits small electrical pulses, it can also act as an EMS device for muscle development. On top of that it has a heat function which is not really found in TENS devices. The TENS mode features fifteen programs, three of which you can program yourself. For the EMS mode, you have 35 programs of which three can be self-programmed. But personally, I plan to use the TENS programs more often. And on top of that, there is a heat mode so that you can have a better feel for relaxation. Charging the unit via USB-C takes between one to two hours. As indicated above, there are around fifty programs to choose from. And I highly suggest that you keep the manual for reference. There are four pads included which is connected to the unit also via USB-C. Again the manual is good reference for where to put these pads in your body. Unfortunately, there are only four gel pads included in this package though I wish it had an extra set. Nonetheless, gel pads are easily available. (I have ordered a thirty-pack from another vendor as of this writing.) I am quite pleased the Beurer Digital TENS device. This is highly recommended.

The device works well. Understanding how to set work at its optimal level is a bit of a challenge. Once you get victory in that area relief inevitable. The thirty minute session end with a pain at the end for about thirty seconds and the comes the relief. Although I recommend the product, you must be patient learning how to use it. You must also be willing to replace the gel pads after about twenty uses.

I have had another unit of another brand for a few years. It helps me with my aches and pains in my shoulders and legs. But it only has like three programs and 4 intensities. But this Unit from Beurer is much more versatile. 100 program options 6 of which are freely programmable by the user. And its not just a TENS unit it also is a Electrical Muscle Stimulator for muscle training and rebuilding. And it has a heat function I find particularly helpful. Two sets of electrodes each of which can be set independently. This is going to be a great tool to have around when pain get in my way and will let me get back on track sooner. The adhesive gel stickers are fragile but replaceable, washable and extremely adhesive.

i have used several TENS units before, and this has some definite improvements. You can use this as a TENS unit for pain relief and muscle relief for after or pre workout, you can use this as and EMS unit for during workouts, and massage for post workout or pre workout tightness. There is also a heat function. For most of you, you will want the TENS, massage and heat. I work out 5-7 days a week and can go for 90 minutes so I am always sore. I used this a pre and post workout and it has helped keep my muscles fresh. To me the heat function is kinda low, which may be the point. You can see on my very poorly taken pictures the main unit will tell you where to place the pads, and you can set the intensity of each of the 2 groups of pads separately. Make sure you look and put the correct pads where you want them. The black and white instructions are not super clear so i actually went to watch videos online. Most of you wont use the EMS part but Ill talk ab out it some. EMS is a way to control muscles using the electricity from the pads. You can use an electrical current to make a muscle contract. If you watched rocky IV Drago was using ems to get bigger. athletes use EMS to get bigger. You can also use EMS for rehab. Consult a trainer etc before you try this at the gym. The battery was very good, its uses USB C which is a great step up. I do have a couple things I did not like The printed instructions are not clear or helpful. The company customer service is pretty bad, I had sent them an email a couple weeks ago and no answer.

I really like this machine. It's small so it's portable and very easy to stow away on the side while using. I have only used the TENS and heating mode, not the third mode which is EMS. I fully charged the device before my first use and I was able to get four uses before I had to recharge. (Each time I use the machine it runs for 30 minutes, so one full charge lasted for two hours). It's not on the same level as the machine that my physical therapist uses on me at the office, but it's really comparable. The pads that I use on my body are still sticky after 6 uses, but I do plan to buy another set to have on stand-by because eventually they will lose their stickiness.

I use this device for knee pain and IT band due to overuse from being on my feet all day. I’d say it’s very easy to use. A full charge will last probably 2 hours. It is worth the money and temporarily helps relieve my pain. I’d recommend this product. Cons: For the price paid, they should’ve provided an extra pair of replacement gel pads - but you only get 4. The gel pads were also difficult to stick on for the first time in my experience.

Ive been searching for methods of non-medicated pain reliefe and this thing is great. Make sure you read the instructions and/or watch some videos on how and where to place the pads. When you place them correctly, they work!! The heat function is also wonderful!!

Easy to use, works well, and the operating manual doea have good information to undertand how to ise this device i a safe way. This is the first device i buy for this application and it has been a good tool to relieve back pain

Fantastic! This TENS unit has put me back on the map. I strained my back and this has helped to walk better and move better. I like the different programs and have also used it on my neck when I had a stress headache coming on. My PT husband found it for me and I am so grateful. I also love the heat feature. I even wore it out going to church so I could sit for an hour. I would highly recommend it!

Germany made, so not the cheap stuff. The device has several different modes depending on the area you need the stimulation. Electrode/gel pads are super sticky and stay on the skin without difficulty. Device is rechargeable and comes with a USB connector, but you need a plug in that will take a USB-A connector. I have back pain and this is used almost every night. I have had it about a month and still not needing a recharge. Will see after several months or a year how well the battery holds up.

I needed a new tens unit and this one works great, just dont order the replacement pads from the company because they are trash. they came with no instructions and don't adhere to the pads. but like I said this tens unit works great.
