Its helped so much with my allergies. We also jave 3 dogs so it helps a whole lot. Its the perfect size for our living room. And it looks very stylish. My friends comment on how nice it looks and quiet it is. Not like the big bulky loud ones.

These are great units. Whisper quiet when on low mode, and will automatically ramp up to a high mode if it detects particles in the air. Clears things up quick. You can also set a constant speed so it doesn't automatically adjust itself, which is nice if you want to control the noise level. Would highly recommend. No issues and I've had around 6 months. The filters are super easy to pop in and out. Haven't had to replace one yet, but it will tell me on the display when that time comes. Has one large filter that looks like a furnace filter, then a thinner one that is a charcoal style filter.

This has been a great air purifier. I love that I can see the level of air quality that it's filtering, and it's easy to see when it needs cleaning. It's plug-and-play, so it couldn't be easier to use.

I have allergies that are always acting up and I have a dog that sheds quite a bit. Ever since I plugged it in, my allergies haven't acted up. I didn't think it would make such a difference, but it does. I have it on auto and it runs all the time. You don't notice that it's there until it kicks into the next step, but it's super minor. I absolutely love the look of this too. I highly recommend it.

Air purifier works great. I use it in a large room and seems to help air quality. I have it set on auto and the machine is extremely quiet until it turns to high. I’d recommend to others and I will buy more for the rest of my house. BTW it looks great too!

Excellent unit! Keeps the air purified and is quiet and efficient. Light makes it easy to keep track of air quality. It also is very sleek looking and does not take up a lot of space. We are very happy with our purchase.

I absolutely love this air purifier. It cleans the air very well. It’s over sized for my room but it still works well. Best air purifier I have owned so far. Getting ready to replace the filter it seems like Best Buy can’t keep them in stock so you will have to go to bissel website. It does not make as much noise as I thought it would. I keep it on the first speed. And when I want to try to sleep in I put it up to speed two. Obviously the higher the speed the louder it gets. But first and second speed is not bad.

Love the light features showing the speed set at, air quality levels, and if filter 1 or filter 2 (pre-filter or main filter) need changed. Not loud and a good looking unit. Reasonably priced replacement filters.

I have other air purifiers with different brand but this air320 is excellent. Design is modern and can blend easily with your furniture. Filtration is good. Fan is quiet and use is easy and simple. However it doesn't come with an app. Filter replacement is cheaper that most competition and since it is made by bissell, I trust that this purchase is a good one and hopefully will last longer than other brands.

The coverage is great and it makes a difference especially with everyone's allergies. The automatic is great and it really does detect changes in the air (cooking, outdoor odors, dog farts, lol)

Time will tell how well the air quality improves, but the unit is pretty much ready to go right out of the box. Super quiet up to level 4 while using Auto. Note: This one does not have the pre-filter attached to the HEPA filter like the 220.

A Breath of Fresh Air

The Bissell Air220 is not my first air purifier but it may well be my last. This machine is awesome! Smokers, people with allergies/asthma/sleep apnea, and pet owners could all benefit from using this machine since it is advertised to reduce and remove dust, smoke, pollen, and dander. This unit uses a carbon filter, not a HEPA filter and it’s Energy Star certified.
The unit is very pleasing to look at and has classic lines. The black/grey color combination allows it easily blend in with most décor. I like that it does not sit flush with the floor and has angled feet that allow air to circulate 360 degrees around the unit (as long as it is not against a wall). Another feature that I love is that it expels air from the top, up into the room, instead of out of the front and onto the floor like other units I have owned. With only one dial on the top of the unit it is extremely easy to operate. You push the dial for on/off, turn the dial to adjust the fan speed (5 speeds available or auto mode), and you press and hold for 3 seconds to reset the unit after filter replacement. There is a digital display on the front that uses colored lights to convey your real-time air quality (blue-good, yellow-moderate, and red-poor). The unit also has a Night Mode that causes the indicator light to dim and ultimately turn off as less light enters a room. This feature coupled with the fact that the machine produces minimal noise makes it very conducive to good sleep.
We first used the machine in the open area of my combined living room/dining room/kitchen. When used in auto mode I love that you can actually see that the unit automatically increases fan speed when there is an increase in the odors/particles in the air. This happened within 15-20 seconds of opening my oven or taking the lid off of a pot and the unit worked quickly to remove cooking odors. Within a few hours of use I definitely noticed that the air seemed fresher and cleaner. After a few days I also noticed that my occasional sneezing (usually a signal that my furnace or central air filter needs changing) had dwindled dramatically.
I decided to move the unit to my bedroom after a few days of it being in a high traffic area to see if there were increased benefits to having it in an enclosed space. My husband sleeps with a CPAP and has allergies as well. He also requires several fans be circulating air in the room in order to be able to have a restful sleep. One floor fan was removed from the room and replaced with the Bissell Air220. After just one night he noticed a marked difference in how he felt when he woke up. Oftentimes he complains of feeling stuffy or congested. To make sure it wasn’t a fluke we kept the unit in the bedroom and he continues to insist that it is helping him sleep better.
Remember, in order to continue to reap the benefits of this machine the filters will need to be replaced regularly (just like those on your furnace and central air unit) so this cost should also be considered when purchasing. This particular unit has 2 filters that require replacement every 6 months or so dependent on usage and the digital display will notify you when this is needed. I personally feel like the benefits of using this machine outweigh the slightly pricey replacement cost of the filters. The unit itself was not cheap but in this instance you definitely get what you pay for. I can definitely see myself purchasing an additional unit for use in my basement in the near future.

Love it! Makes the house feel fresh an airy. Very easy to use and purifies the majority of the house. I love how it automatically adjusts to the light to know when the room is being used or if you are sleeping.

So far this had done a good job with keeping the air clean. I’m curious to see how it performs at my remodel house when i start sanding drywall. I purchased this for the competitive price and the sq footage it covers.

I love when the light goes from green to blue.
The night light features work great and don't keep me up at night. It's fairly quiet.
It definitely seems to have helps with the pollen issue we have.

I had a little trouble with auto mode at first. It was reading really high 300+ and was running on high for several days (which I guess it was getting acclimated to the space) then it got stuck on 999. I just unplugged it, took the sensor out to make sure it was clean and once I did that it was fine. It’s been running great ever since!
It is pretty loud on high but I would expect that because it blows a lot of air. Lower speeds are very quite. It helps significantly with pet smell and allergies. And it looks nice which is a bonus. I’m considering a second one for upstairs!
