Many customers appreciate how well it cleans hardwood floors and its lightweight design. The washable pads and cleaning solution are also seen as positive features. However, a few customers have expressed concerns about the mop spinning dirt around and grounding it into the floor.

Superb device for floor cleaning and scrubbing

Having been unsatisfied with various other floor cleaning options in the past, I was eagerly looking forward to receiving this product. Assembly is easy as the Bissell SpinWave comes shipped in basically three (3) parts: body, handle/stem, and cleaner/water solution bottle. Bissell also provides two (2) bottles of 8 oz. cleaning formula. Once the SpinWave is turned on the cleaning pads 1) rotate at a manageable speed (e.g. does not create too much torque as to make the device unmanageable) and 2) clean/scrub very well. Specific areas with stains can be targeted by simply spraying additional solution and allowing the pads to remain over the stain for an extended period of time. Stains are easily removed in a short period of time. The key to the SpinWave's ability to effectively scrub is its weight. The SpinWave has a a fairly weighty scrubbing "head" which 1) provides sufficient downward force for applying more force to the scrubbing pads in order to scrub away stains and 2) provides stability when the SpinWave is operating. The SpinWave is also highly manuevable with its pivotable head. Overall, the SpinWave is a amazing product which, for me, makes all the other floor cleaning solutions absolete. Highly recommended..

The Bissell SpinWave is great. No other description is really needed. With two different sets of washing pads (one terry cloth, one terry with scratchy scrubby fabric woven in), you can pick the right pads for the job.
The SpinWave is fairly weighted well enough to keep solid contact with the floor. It is also relatively easy to control.
The solution sprays out an even, appropriate amount of solution with the push of a button on the handle. (Only complaint about the solution spray button is that it is right next to the on/off button and I found myself shutting the SpinWave off multiple times during my first use.)
The pads absorb a fair amount of dirt and liquid. They was clean in the washing machine and trap dirt and hair well, but you still need to dry sweep the floors before using the SpinWave otherwise hard particles of dirt or dust bunnies will just get flung around on your floor by the spinning pads. The only thing that would make the SpinWave better would be a suction or beater brush function to suck up particles of dirt that don't stick to the pads.
The floor dried in a reasonable amount of time--about as long as a sponge mop or washing by hand with a bucket. I found the solution container to store an adequate amount of solution to get the job done. We also let the SpinWave sit overnight with the solution bottle full, to test if it leaks or not. Ours did not, so if you forget to empty the bottle before you put the SpinWave away, you are probably ok.
The SpinWave is fairly quiet and saved me time (and back pain) and left me with clean floors. I definitely recommend the product. Very satisfied after first few uses.

Overall, we like the this powered mop. It cleans much better than our non-powered spray mop, but it has a few problems that keep it from completely replacing it. First the good stuff:
When it is plugged in and powered on the mop is very easy to move across the floor, it almost feels like it is hovering thanks to the spinning motion of the pads.
Most importantly, it cleans very well. We have only used the included multi-surface cleaner so far and have not tried the hardwood floor cleaner that you can purchase separately yet. We have solid maple hardwood floors with a medium color stain and have had some problems getting them completely streak free with our standard spray mop and microfiber pad. With the Bissell Spin Wave, not a single streak left behind. Previously, we could only get the floors this clean if we were on our hands and knees, so the mop will definitely save use considerable cleaning effort in the future.
The mop also has a small footprint and stored easily in our broom closet where we also keep our central vacuum cleaner hose and accessories.
Now for the things we didn't like so much. Because the pads are round, you cannot get right into the corners of your floor. Also, the size of the head makes it difficult to get in the tight places in our home where our spray mop can easily reach. The spray mop is also cordless which makes it easier to maneuver as well.
The other big issue we are having is that our mop leaks! The leak isn't huge, just a few drips here and there. We found videos on-line suggesting that the cleaning solution bottle cap may not be tightened enough or may be damaged, but after checking all this and making sure we heard a good click when we place the bottle in the mop, it still leaks. So for now, we just keep the bottle out of the mop when we store it and we have an old towel under the mop as well so it doesn't drip all over broom closet floor.
So I think our non-powered spray mop will still be our go to for our weekly floor washing, but the Bissell Spinwave will come in handy for those times we really need to get the floor looking it's best, and will save us from having to be on our hands and knees to do so.

Well – I just received my Bissell SpinWave Hard Floor Cleaner and I had purposely been leaving my floor alone so I could try it out and write a review! I’m happy to report that it went together with a single click of the handle and I cleaned the whole hardwood floor (kitchen, formal dining room, front vestibule, bathroom, hallway and informal dining room) in no time!
The cleaner comes with 4 pads (one soft set and one scrubby pad for messes), 2 small bottles of multi-surface cleaner, and the instruction booklet. I’ll admit that I was a bit confused that you didn’t have to take the pads off during the cleaning cycle and rinse them out like rinsing/wringing a mop. I suppose you could if you were tackling some bigger messes, but my job was more of a polish than a clean. I left them on for the whole job and they worked good.
I normally use Bona products on my wood floors so I was somewhat skeptical on how they would turn out. Would they be streaky? I had just vacuumed the carpets and floors on the main level, so I was ready to go. (I would definitely recommend sweeping or vacuuming your floors first so no bits of sand or dirt get caught in the cleaning pads and possibly scratch the floor). I mixed up a small amount of the multi-surface solution in the clean water container and started cleaning. During the process, I could see wet rings from where I had cleaned, so I went over them again and tried to smooth them out as I figured they would dry like that - but I never got them to go away completely. You can kind of see them in the picture attached. As the floor dried though – they disappeared! Awesome! No streaks! Speaking of drying – the floor did dry quite fast – so I didn’t have to keep the kids and animals off it for more than 10 minutes!
Operation for me was a breeze – as I have strong arms (yes I’m a guy). The cleaner easily fits under the kitchen cabinet toe-kick, easily glides under furniture, but be careful around carpets as it’s a little tricky to run along the edge of the carpet transition.
As for cons – well I don’t have that many! Perhaps they could include a couple of bottles of the Hardwood Floor cleaner like they did the Multi-Surface Solution. I did notice that there are 2 fill lines on the tank (one for small jobs and one for larger jobs). I used the small job markings, and still had more than enough left in the tank when I had finished – so maybe even a smaller job marking would be appropriate.
Overall – I’m very happy with this cleaner. It’s always such a hassle to mop the floor and using this cleaner makes it more fun!

Setup/Testing/Conclusion
First off let me say, the setup was really easy and self explanatory (you basically just snap the handle into place). The fill tank has indication marks for water and solution. Not only does it have indications, it also gives you the option of needing to clean a lot of space or just minimal space. Once you fill it up with warm tap water and the solution; you’re ready to go! The SpinWave comes with 2 regular soft touch pads and 2 powerful scrubbing pads for your tough messes.
With the minimal fill, I was able to clean my kitchen, the landing at the front door, and the bathroom. My apartment is approximately 1050 square feet. First off, the cleaning of the kitchen and landing were wonderful! Once you power on the SpinWave, it literally just glides across your floor (effortless!). It kinda felt like playing bumper cars with a mop.... Except you weren’t bumping cars and instead bumping everything else in your house; I mean it in a very fun way by the way. After you’re done cleaning, the area smells clean thanks to the cleaning formula that Bissell crafted.
Now here comes the con… Of course right? My issue was when I cleaned the bathroom. Now, it may be because the bathroom has the most dust since we have the window open all the time. But normally when I clean with a Swifter Sweeper (wet); it picks up majority of the dust. For the SpinWave, it looked as if it just kind of clumped the dust up into little balls and spun it everywhere. So after using the SpinWave, I had to use a wet solution and paper towels to clean up the dust balls; an extra step basically. But like I said, it could’ve been because my bathroom is more dusty than everywhere else. But I was hoping it would’ve caught the dust though instead of spinning it around and shooting it everywhere.
Cleaning up was extremely simple. You just empty the tank (if you have any leftover solution) and remove the pads. You can then throw the pads into your laundry machine to wash.
In conclusion, I thoroughly enjoyed the SpinWave. For the most part, it did a fantastic job. My floors feel really clean now (even with the dust situation in the bathroom). Would I recommend it? I would consider it if you’re shopping around and don’t want to use the traditional mop or a Swifter Sweeper. It was honestly enjoyable and kinda fun; I think my mother would really enjoy the SpinWave because the way it glides effortlessly throughout the floor.

Living in a decent size apartment with tile in the kitchen and bathroom, the SpinWave is perfect for me when it comes to quick clean ups!
I found this unit to be fairly useful and handy when it comes to a bi weekly scheduled cleaning I like to incorporate. It's very easy to use, comes with 2 different pairs of clean pads (scrubby and soft), 2 trial size bottles (which I still happen to use since you have to have to dilute it with warm water) and a long extension cord making cleaning a whole kitchen a breeze.
Since I have a scheduled cleaning cycle, I can not comment whether this is good on hard dried on spots, but this works very well with normal debris. Hope this helps in your cleaning adventures.
Thanks.

This has been the best for my hardwood floors. The entire first floor of my home is hardwood and I've made due with a Swiffer and the wet mops, which always ended up coating a small part of the area and drying out quickly after. Cleaning with this is super simple - the rotating mop heads work great and I'm able to load the cleaning solution into the tank and spray it as needed. It is a little larger than I was expecting it'd be, but other than that I have nothing bad to say about this.

Works great, does just what it's supposed to. Easy to handle, has a swivel head so it's easy to turn. My 10 year old daughter loves using it. We have hardwood floors throughout the house, so this gets used a LOT. Pads are easy to get on and off and are easy to clean, just throw in the washer then the dryer.

This spinwave floor cleaner is just what I needed. I have hardwood floors and a 107 lb yellow lab and somehow he keeps slobbering on the floor. This cleaner is quick and efficient. We were using the shark floor steamer, but this spinwave blow it away.

Purchased this SpinWave just one day after purchasing the Shark Steam Pro for the same price. I was curious if this would do a better job with both spinning pads. However, with just plain water and no cleaning solutions with the Shark, compared to the SpinWave with provided Bissell cleaning solution, there was hardly a comparison. The Shark is quiet, simple & easy to use. Both have similar material on the pads, and the Shark clearly picked up much more and cleaned more thoroughly. The Spin Wave moves quickly and not difficult to control, but I'd hardly compare it to "hands & knees" cleaning or scrubbing as described.

I love this machine. It's super easy to use and does the job. I fill it up with my electric tea kettle. It should be to tap though! My kettle has temperature control so it's not so hot that it melts the water container on the mop machine. I actually use it for the 1st initial mop on my Marley Dance floor which requires hot water and vinager. it does not absorb the excess dirt and grim, it just releases it and spins it around the floor. I still have to mop. For tough scuffs I just drop scrub pads under the rotators and it works fine. For my lobby and spectator area it's great for a quick clean up. The old fashion way still always works best.

Great idea and product but I wouldn't buy again.
The product reminds me of my basic training and AIT days when I assisted with buffing the floors. This product is similar but a whole lot lighter. It comes with two bottles of solution, bumper pads and scrub pads and of course the machine.
If you are thinking of getting this keep in mind that it's like a buffer so it's not a quick and easy mopping the floor. I have laminate floors in my home and it did help my floors to stop looking cloudy after cleaning.
Overall I enjoyed this product and it's great to use once a week but I will stick with my normal cleaning for daily use.

We have engineered hardwood floor that are horrible. They are hard to clean everything makes a film. Got the mop today and it worked very good, you can control how much you spray out so it doesn't get too wet. Also didn't need very much of the cleaner it is mostly water. It does take a couple mins longer than just an old school fiber mop bc I let it sit in one spot and move around to get a good clean but he floors looked great.

First, let me start by saying I do like this product. We have 5 kids and they have broke @ least 7 regular stick mops in a year. We decided to try this instead of a regular mop.
Pros:
*It is easy assembly taking it out the box.
*Comes with 4 pads.
*Easy use. (My 7 year old can operate it)
*Simple cleaning the pads. (Can hand rinse or machine wash)
*Conserves cleaning solution (uses a trigger to expel solution).
*Comes with 2 small bottles of cleaning solution.
*Scrubbing pads (cloth with crosses of scrubbing material).
*Cleans under the edges of appliances.
*Good product for the price.
Cons:
*Doesn't clean corners of the floor.
*Pads are thick so need a lot of solution to dampen them to clean the floor. Makes cleaning time longer
*Doesn't get grout lines clean. (Still have to get down & use a scrub brush to get to them.
*Scrubbing power isn't as great as I thought it would be with 2 rotating pads.
I don't know for certain, but I suspect the motor to spin the pads will probably not last long if they are rotating and you are pushing the machine against the direction they are going.

We bought a Florida bungalow that needs work. The yard is just dirty sand and we have been digging trees and bushes up to make even more dirt and sand. The brown/black dust is getting everywhere and dulling the polyurethane coated hardwood. The 90 year old floors weren't looking their best. We tried this mop and it does a great job. Damp mopping wasn't getting it done and the Swiffer was no better. We're happy with the results and it is a pleasure to use this machine as it floats so easily across the floor. Pads get dirty but they're washable which beats disposable (like Swiffer) in our book.
