Love this purchase. Light weight and holds a lot of cleaner. I did one room per fill. It should be noted I clearly haven’t cleaned the floors in a long time (3 years yuck) and we just got a puppy who is the devil. It was incredibly easy to install! I was going in 15 mins. Including putting the water solution together.

Great Lightweight Compact Upright Carpet Cleaner

This carpet cleaner can do the job of a full size carpet cleaner, at less than half the weight. The only disadvantage over this cleaner versus a full size cleaner, is that some full size cleaners have additional attachments for furniture or other items. The Turboclean does offer one optional attachment, for hardwood floors, but nothing for furniture. Which in my opinion is ok, as most pet stains happen on the floor anyway. Extra attachments would only clutter up the machine, and add unwanted weight anyway. The design is pretty simple, it looks like most upright carpet cleaners, or vacuums, the big difference here is the width of the Turboclean. It's width is 9.5 inches, as opposed to around 13 inches for most full size units. The height is 44 inches with the handle extended, and 38 inches with it retracted. Most of the unit is made out of lightweight plastic, including the wheels. With no water in the cleaner, it is pretty easy to move around, and get up and down stairs. The clean water tank only holds half a gallon, so that doesn't even add much weight to the machine. I do like that you can put hot water into the clean water tank, as a lot of stains actually need the heat to help break them up, especially set in stains. The tank has fill lines for the correct amounts of water and cleaning formula. By the way, it is recommended to only use Bissell cleaning solutions in the tank, to ensure that foaming up or other problems do not occur from using untested or unapproved soaps. Most dishwashing, laundry and other soaps are designed to foam up somewhat. So make sure to not only keep those out of the water tank, but also out of your rug. If you need to pre-spota stain, just use a little bit of the included cleaning formula, for best results.Foam can fill the waste tank, and force you to have to try to empty the reservoir repeatedly too soon, and it can break up the suction flow.  The Turboclean has one power roller with 4 wavy rows of bristles, which lets this cleaner scrub out tougher stains. The bristle rows are nicely spaced to help keep pet hairs from wadding up too much along the roller. Even if hairs do accumulate, they are easy to remove by running a pen or screwdriver along the roller, forcing the hairs up and outward. The suction is very good. It lifted water and stains pretty easily. The handle is nice and comfortable, even after moving the cleaner back and forth and spraying the rug continuously for 60 minutes. The weight, size, ease of use, and performance really make this cleaner shine. Adding water to the reservoir and emptying the waste tank only takes seconds. Both tanks can be removed and installed at any angle the unit is in. The reservoir tank just pops right out, no clips or straps. The waste tank is held down by two quick clamps, that only take seconds to use. It really does a great job. I am including pics of a rug I tested using hot sauce, strawberry syrup, and sriracha sauce.Within the first 2 minutes most of the stains were lifted, I am pretty confident that after quite a few more passes, the stains would have been removed. However to hurry things along, I did use a hand held brush to work the spot remover into the stain quicker. Afterwards it only took a couple passes with the cleaner to remove the stains.I honestly don't think a hand brush will be needed for most stains including pet stains. I only used one here, because I deliberately picked some hard to remove stains to see what this could do. Overall I am very impressed with how well this compact rug cleaner performs. At only 12lbs it does the job of some of the higher priced full size, heavier rug cleaners. With it always being wet outside this time of the year, it's nice to be able to grab something lightweight and quick to clean up the dog's foot prints every time he runs into the living room after being outside. I can not say enough how convenient this cleaner is.

Perfect for What I Needed in a Cleaner

In a house with 2 cats and a large 80 point dog, it's safe to say that a carpet cleaner is required in our house. We already have a smaller spot cleaner, but our larger cleaner bit the dust and needed to be replaced. I also hate the spot cleaner because I hate getting on my hands and knees to clean up a mess after one of my animals got sick. The Bissell Turbo PowerBrush is the perfect solution for what I was looking for - it works great as a general carpet cleaner and is also small enough to be used for spot cleaning without making me get on the floor to clean up stuff. The unit itself comes in 3 parts - the handle assembly, the cleaning solution tank, and the bottom brush cleaner part. Putting it together was a breeze. The only reason I docked a star off my rating was because in my experience, there were times when the handle assembly didn't click totally with the bottom crush cleaner part. When that happens, the cleaning fluid will not dispense - the handle assembly, fuel tank, and brush roll assembly have to lock and click together perfectly for it to work. So I docked a star for it being somewhat temperamental. That out of the way, this thing is pretty much perfect for what we need it for in every other way. I was able to clean up a mess from when one of our cats got sick and also finish cleaning the rest of the carpet in our bedroom. The tank itself isn't large enough to do more than one room at a time like a larger carpet cleaner can - but it's enough. Also, another word of caution, be careful when emptying the tank. It's clipped to the top of the brush assembly, and when I picked it up the first time to empty it, I accidentally spilled some of the refuse water on the floor. I found it best to lift the tank straight up and empty it quickly to avoid making another mess. The PowerBrush came with some concentrated cleaner to use, so that was helpful - the tank mixture line is designed to be used with Bissell's concentrated cleaner line, so be mindful when you need to buy some more. If you're like me and you need something that can be both a spot cleaner as well as a standard carpet cleaner, and you have pets, then you really should check this out. My wife and I are both really happy with it.

Bissell “TURBOCLEAN POWERBRUSH PET” My initial impression is that this was packaged well, yet simply. The overall assembly instructions were clear and there are 2 long phillips screws included, however no screwdriver was provided - just something to note. Included a cleaning solution called: “Deep Clean” - not the “PET Stain & Odor” which I found interesting for a ‘pet’ focused cleaner. This unit has a rather small form factor, compared to other carpet cleaners and that’s a plus. The neck / handle are able to be lowered but I didn’t find any space savings with it, as it’s the footprint on the floor that takes up the most room. In the tank, the Water and solution levels are clearly labeled for levels of each; add water to the line, then add solution until it gets to the next line; beware of the bubbles the solution makes as it makes the line a little harder to see. When full of solution & water, the tank clicked in as the directions indicated. For the water:solution ratio, I see the included bottle lasting quite a while - and that’s pretty nice. The motor is less noisy than the full sized carpet vacs (I have had a Bissell carpet wet vac before). The pedals, referred to in the manual as ‘gray’ and ‘red’ - are actually ‘green’ and ‘red’ are simple to push and the handle leans back. Cord management just like the others; wrap then turn top hook to unravel. I have a few spots in front of the door that normal foam and brush cleaners don’t have any impact on and that’s where I attached first (see pic). A smooth trigger with some resistance but not tiring on the fingers is easy to use and dispense solution. When using the vacuum, there is not much, if any, pull with the brushes so it’s completely driven by your push and pull. I dispensed a bunch of the solution with the vacuum raised so as to not try to clean it immediately; I did move it over the area somewhat, as to get the fibers separated for absorption. After letting it sit for a few minutes, I went at the stain and surrounding area like a normal stain remover - patiently. I didn’t stop at one treatment as this is a stubborn stain and one I had presumed would need a few cycles. After each full cleaning cycle, I used a few paper towels to dab up some of the dampness and found the paper towel quite dirty, showing me that the solution and brushes really did bring the dirt to the top. Now, onto cleaning the collection tank: what a disaster. I highly suggest that you *Read the Instructions Thoroughly.* I thought I had, but apparently not as well I thought. It’s quite easy to remove the clips on each side to remove the tank - but then I had a problem. Once the tank was off, I tipped it so I could see how much dirty water it caught … and proceeded to pour a lot of the dirty water down my hand and sleeve and all over the carpet that didn’t need to be cleaned (see pic)! NOW, I had to clean up the dirty drops that were all over the place in front of the Christmas tree; I was annoyed. So, then I tipped it back to normal position and the water started pouring out of the collection nozzle at the front corner! So I put it back on the vac and rolled it into the kitchen. Once in the sink - There’s a small mesh filter on the top you can remove and get water into the tank to clean it out. Results: Once everything dried overnight - the results were amazing, actually. This eliminated the stain that has been a pain for the past few years and took care of the droplets of dirty water that I accidentally poured out of the collection tank. I totally recommend this cleaner, should you have even medium sized areas on your carpet that could use some overdue attention. In the box there’s a coupon to get a discount & free shipping. Unfortunately, you don’t get free shipping with the code as advertised and even before Christmas, email inquiries were speedily answered by the Bissell customer service folks. I was told I need to call the 800# to get the free shipping as there’s something wrong with the coupon & website together. Overall - yes, I recommend this - given the smaller footprint and cleaning power!

man this vacuum ain’t too bad at all, it’s compact, this is useful if you have carpet that hasn’t been cleaned in awhile, I have couple big carpet that I placed around the room that for sure need some cleaning. Pros - this vacuum is lite, i’m also glad it’s not just a solid body meaning I can actually disassembled the whole vacuum to create more space when storing it - the handle can be extended or shorten for your liking - the power and the recline button will be at the bottom back section of the vacuum for your feet to press to use - pretty much every thing on this vacuum can easily be remove, each section is straight plug in play, you either just have to unlock to release certain parts, it’s that simple - removing the collection tank was also simple and was fairly easy to clean, so far i’ve been cleaning the tank as soon as I get done vacuuming - you also have the ability to remove the brush roll on the bottom to clean - the package also come with small liquid cleaner for you to use Cons - if you have a lot of carpet it’s kinda hard to recommend this vacuum since the water tank is small that one small 5”/7” carpet of mine was already using a good amount of water - I didn’t think using this vacuum on hard floor was that great at all, doesn’t feel right even tho it can be used for hard floor, I think for me i’ll personally would only use this on carpet - this vacuum is not that expensive therefore I feel every is cheap, the locking pieces for the tank doesn’t feel like it would last, just the feel I get every time I try to messes with it - vacuuming feels alright as well, I like strong vacuum that makes me feel like it’s deep cleaning the carpet, this one not so much for the price I think this vacuum is worth, something to use on smal carpet, like I said from the look of it not sure how long this vacuum will last, everything feel so cheap, stronger motor would probably be better but again, this vacuum is not that expensive and can’t be asking for too much I guess

I have a larger Bissell carpet cleaner that is really good but a pain to drag up and down the stairs. This one is perfect for small areas and cleaning rugs. I had a rental property that I was cleaning up prior to the tenants moving in, so I thought I would test this out. It took a while because it’s not very wide but it did an excellent job of cleaning the carpet. The handle collapses and makes it smaller and easier to move around the house and it has a 1/2 gallon tank. Like I said before, this is ideal for smaller areas so I had to empty the tank and refill the bottle multiple times but that was to be expected. I bought some of the Bissell cleaner that has Febreze in it and it left a very pleasant scent. This is a nice little carpet cleaner and I would definitely recommend it.

These types of machines are a must have if you own pets. I have two dogs and a cat that get hair, hairballs, and yack/puke everywhere. This machine comes in handy, and works pretty good on my light carpet. Almost immediately after I received this carpet cleaner, my daughters cat pukes up a hairball right in the middle of her room. I felt like it was on cue. I removed the carpet cleaner from the box to clean up the spot, and noticed immediately that the machine is very light, and kind of flimsy. I'm not trying to be harsh, but my daughter had toy vacuums that were more solid than this one, but this carpet cleaner did a good job of cleaning the spot in question, so I guess it's a wash? Another thing I noticed is that the bottle that holds the cleaning solution just clips into place by a thin plastic tab. I'm not sure if it's going to be an issue down the road, but in my past experience, it usually is. The carpet cleaner did a good job of cleaning the spot. First I removed as much "solid" stuff as I could, and then sprayed a stain pre-treat on the spot and brushed it in. I then filled the reservoir with hot water and some of the trial solution that comes with the cleaner. First pass took most of the stain up, but it took three tries to completely remove the stain, making it the cleanest spot in the room. I took a picture for review purposes and then proceeded to do the rest of the room. It did a good job of getting most of the stains (food and pet), and pet hair out of my daughter's carpet. Overall, I'm happy with this carpet cleaner. Likes: 1.) Does remove pet stains and hair 2.) Is easy to clean up after use 3.) Lightweight Dislikes: 1.) Feels cheap when using it 2.) Short power cord 3.) Reservoir clip in question

This small compact upright did great. I have area carpets and my dog loves to lay on them. My biggest one is the dirtiest of them all and it took a heck of a lot of the dirt and spots and grime out of it. On thing was to get the rhythm of the spray and the vacuum pattern to maximize the sucking ability. The other thing is that the exhaust spews out water if the exhaust filter gets too wet. Other than that filling, cleaning, and storing is easy. Nimble and not too heavy. Sucked up my dogs fur really well. I would recommend this product. Great job Bissell.

I'm very impressed with this little cleaner! It's small, light and it cleans up pet messes really well. I had a Hoover before and it was so heavy and clunky. I upgraded to this one and it blew my mind. It didn't require more strength to push it around and it only takes a little bit of cleaner to get the job done.

I like it! Between the three cats (hairballs and such) and the remodel project, this carpet cleaner is the perfect size for my 650 sq ft house and area rugs. Lightweight but powerful enough to get the rugs clean and clean smelling. You will definitely want to use hot tap water (not boiled). The machine is then easy to empty and clean. And as my house is small, I keep in in the basement so having it lightweight makes it easier to transport.

I have 4 dogs and carpet. I used this for the first time this weekend to clean up some of the spots from the youngest dog marking the carpet in the hallway. It was easy to set up and I managed to clean my small hallway and half my room with less than one tank. It does look like aspects may be difficult to clean out is my one concern.

You wouldn’t think something so compact would do such a good job but guess what it does! I was expecting minimal shampooing but the vacuum was able to get not only the stains out but also all the dust bunnies I didn’t know that were hiding. It comes with a trial size shampoo that leaves a lasting scent equivalent to fresh washed laundry. If you’re not wanting to invest hundreds on a carpet cleaner, incest in this. But beware it covers about 90-100 sq. Ft. With one full tank.

This may be the best thing I have purchased in quite some time. My dog is now 15 and has begun to have more accidents in the house. This is perfect to clean up after her. It is smaller but powerful enough to do the job. It cleans up the stains with ease. And the handle makes it easy to do without having to get down on the floor. It's smaller size will also make it easier to store.
