I've been using this almost daily for several months and it is still the absolute most useful vacuum I've ever had and I'm over, well let's say 40 cause that sounds better than 50. This machine is so well thought out that the instruction manual doesn't even do it justice, it's as if the engineers handed it over and the writer went, "Yeah, it does stuff." I can adjust everything from the main handle--the suction power, auto suction on or off (simply changes to high power when I vacuum the area rugs on our hardwoods, then resumes to medium or wherever I set it), turn the rolling brush on or off, and attach the charging cable. The bright led headlight turns off along with the brush since it isn't needed when using the amazingly versatile attached hose. You can just pull the hose out at the bottom to quickly pick up debris say, on a chair. Or, get this, you can remove the handle and stick the hose in it to create a sort of canister vac. It's weird! The motor casing comes right off with a big green lever and you can finally reach those ceiling vents, fans and any dusty corners high or low. To clean you remove the bin with a nice big ergonomic handle, hold it over the trash and press another lever. I wasn't prepared for it to open so responsively the first time and some of it missed the can, so be ready. Then you can push the front handle down and up repeatedly, this moves the circular piece that's inside the dust bin and it loosens more debris to get it pretty empty. Some stuff might get caught up top and you can usually clean it out that way, if not there are two holes you can reach a finger in to get it out if you don't want to remove the filters. I like to tap the dust filters out each time due to the incredible amount of tiny dust particles they trap. It's a lot, even if used daily, and I'm glad to see it drop into the trash rather than float around or sit unnoticed on all the surfaces of the house. The rolling brush easily pops off and cleans easily too. As you can see in my picture, you can see when you've just vacuumed up a dog toy. It was funny but not a tragedy. I touched the power button, popped the brush off and got back to it. Not sure why some people said you have to press it twice to turn on, but I do not. Very maneuverable, lightweight, gets under side tables that I was seriously in doubt it would. On hardwoods I move it around pretty fast and it keeps up just fine. Used daily on the entire first floor (1200 s.f), I empty a pretty full dust bin mostly of black lab fur and dust and am done in under 15 minutes set to auto. Comes with tools that are useful but for some reason there's no place to store 2 or 3 of them so I put them in a tall coffee mug nearby. The other two attach to the handle for storage. Battery life varies as you change power settings, in my experience 15 to over 30 minutes. It's more than enough if set on auto to cover my living area, kitchen, dining room, a long hallway, office, bathroom and foyer with some to spare. I turn it off and charge before fully depleted as I believe it helps keep the battery performing its best. Just plug the cord back in the control panel to charge. The lights tell you battery status as well as power level. With the brush and light powered on full it runs a solid 15-20 minutes. Used as a canister or upright with the roller off I can easily get a 30 minute run time. And about the manual, something in there about the filter made no sense and sounded like a last minute add in. Just put the filters in and don't bother searching for whatever it seems to be telling you. And to open that long crevice tool you just pull the end apart to turn it into a wide surface for the couch or any drapes. Very pleased, have even gotten the family to pitch in because it's just easy to use and fast. Best priced vac I could find too, and the only one equipped with all the features I was looking for and then some. B&D please keep this vac around!

This thing is fantastic on ALL surfaces on which I have used it. Easy to switch from floor-to-handheld, easy to break apart and clean, etc. Picks up cat litter and food - main reason I purchased it. Only negative would be charging speed - take a loooong time to charge, as in hours and hours..

I bought this one after having to return another brand twice because it wouldn't charge after a handful of uses. So far, it's working fine. It is a little complicated to take apart to use handheld portion but I have no complaints with the power.

Overall a very good cordless vacuum, has strong power for being cordless and is very light. The option to use it as a hand held vac is nice.

Love this vacuum. It’s nice and light and works well to pick up the dog hair everywhere. I’m only giving it 4 stars because it takes 6 hours to fully charge but only has 1 hour of battery life.

This vacuum works great, for being small and portable. Auto adjusting brush height, great cleaning power, easy to do stairs!! ( hose attaches to the vacuum canister so easily!) Lithium ion battery takes almost no time to fully charge. I highyl reccomend this vac.

We purchased this vacuum as an easy way to keep upstairs closets and bathrooms clean. Need something less cumbersome than a full-sized vacuum but much more effective than something small like a dustbuster. Very pleased with it so far.

I had been looking for a cordless vacuum that has a hose option to allow me to clean inside cabinets in my RV. This is the only one I could find that would allow me to do this. Is has good suction and is easy to maneuver.

I like this vacuum BUT the charger doesn’t layst. Sometimes the Chargers provided with this item only last a month or two, but everyone I’ve had this issue, I’ve been provided a completely new vacuum, which is appreciated.
