Black Panther is definitely an Marvel classic that will last for generations.

The action is awesome. It lived up to what I had been told I'm pleased. I'm gonna buy a copy for someone as a gift

Saw the movie, and I had to own it. The steelbook is pretty nice and the design is both simplistic and complex.

I bough this for my Friend that she is a really Huge Fan Of Black Panther so I went in and Bought it for her. :)

I was really hoping to enjoy having the steelbook version of this movie, but unfortunately it was shipped to me very damaged. Possibly the discs inside were damaged as well, however, I was unsure as I hadn't opened it up. Due to the limited supply, and of course it selling out in my area, I was unable to obtain a mint copy. I've been deeply disappointed, upset with not being able to enjoy having what I pre ordered in order to have the item I had wanted. I really wish Best Buy stepped up and had helped, but they didn't. It's really hard to trust them now with shipping and pre ordering items.

Now, I realize that this movie disappointed some fans due to the lack of a lot of action happening throughout the film, unlike other MCU films, however, I think that what makes a great movie, regardless of genre, isn't necessarily the action, or how the actors look, but character, and this movie delivers. T'Challa was a great protagonist with relate ability, and likability that stayed consistent with what we saw in Civil War, and built upon it. I liked all of the other characters, including T'Challa's sister and his ex-girlfriend. Killmonger is the main villain of the film, and deserves credit for his sympathy for others of his race who've suffered discrimination from Europeans through history up to the present. They also set up his backstory pretty well and make him a legitimately intimidating villain who is able to more than hold his own against T'Challa in a fight. The story is also very well written and includes some commentary against choosing to be an isolated nation, as is made apparently when that choice of Wakanda's people came back to haunt them when Killmonger arrives there. It also, really puts America's history of trying to stay isolated via the Monroe Doctrine into perspective, as well as caring more about protecting yourselves as a society as opposed to helping others. The film is also beautiful to watch, and actually makes the most of the few action scenes it has. The actors do excellent in portraying their characters too, and each character arc is fleshed out pretty well in the film. The only issue I have is...I would have LOVED to have seen Kraven The Hunter in the movie! Hope he makes an appearance in the sequel. Overall, I recommend this movie to any Black Panther fan, and any Political movie person as well.

Hearing all the hype toward this film, I went in thinking one thing and came out thinking another. This is probably the stupidest film I've ever seen. You got all these people from Wakanda practicing tribal religious nonsense, in fact one guy, who had a few talking scenes, sported a plate in his lip, which made understanding him extremely difficult, I might add. But the Academy Awards think it's pure gold. Ya, right! When a group of people become advanced, they tend to cease practicing archaic rituals as their advanced technology makes said superstitions obsolete. Take our society now: We worship the almighty internet, and the devices that bring it to us. We, on the other hand, have rejected God and deride anyone who keeps with such ancient traditions as foolish, or even dangerous. In the end, Black Panther was an absolute mess. It's a film that tries to please everyone and makes connections that do not exists. In this respect, it's hard to even enjoy it as a popcorn-flick. This is what happens when people replace entertainment for propaganda. Get used of it, because this is the future of all entertainment. Go read 1984 instead.

Finally found this DVD after looking two years. In the meantime, our favorite place for purchasing DVDs closed their department. It has been difficult to find DVDs these days. Hoping BB comes back with DVD availability again.

When I review movies, it is equal parts story quality and visual/audio presentation. My wife and I opt to watch movies at home these days, especially after having upgraded the house to 4kHDR and Dolby Atmos capability. Marvel movies and Disney are very choosy with what they release on 4kHDR, but luckily we received this treat. The colors pop above and beyond most other movies I have seen this year. There is such a wide color palette, which I'm sure would look good on ANY tv, but it really utilizes HDR to its fullest. The Dolby Atmos setup in my house is nothing close to audiophile, but it is still good. The sound is truly enveloping. You will enjoy this one!

This is an incredible movie. Not just the story line of another super hero, but a family that I've had but not seen on the big screen. A family that took generations to create, and a joy to experience.

The African themes are enough to keep people interested as African culture is not prominent in US Cinema. Meanwhile the story is a worthy entry for the Marvel enterprise if not one of the best ones. This movie performed beyond expectations. No one should overlook this for any reason because it ranks with Iron Man 2, Avengers 2 and Captain America Civil War. While IMDB currently shows a 7.3/10 I sincerely believe that this was more about the leading roles in the film and who they were played by rather than the film itself. This was definitely better than Doctor Strange and was much more meaningful as well.

Not to make this too lengthy I'll simply say this is a GOOD movie. Not great. Not amazing. Not a genre defining movie. Not a must see. A solid 7.5/10 to be completely honest. The pacing is terrible. The movie gets into a great rthymn one minute then turns into a boring slug fest the next. The audio is tolerable at times until the music loudly takes over dialogue that may be important. It's annoying at times. The score at times is a win until that generic superhero theme music creeps in that sounds so familiar from each MCU movie. The CGI is bad. Really really bad for movie with this budget. The third act says it all. The forced jokes are terrible and outdated. Some intense scenes are killed instantly for a quick laugh. The acting is well done. Especially from Chadwick Boseman and Michael B Jordan. The fight scenes and action is handled extremely well. The story is okay for the most part. Supporting cast did a great job as well. Having a superhero movie set in another country was a nice change to see. As for the 4k, it's not. It Was shot on 2k intermediate and upscaled just like Infinity War. I personally bought it for my MCU collection but it's not a must see or important to any overall arc.

Love action movies and this doesn't disappoint at all. I like to purchase movies so I can rewatch on my own time and not when only available to stream.

Black Panther is an awesome movie, despite what all the trolls posting negative reviews without having seen it would have you believe. Is it formulaic? Yes. But it's a Marvel movie. You don't watch Marvel movies expecting to gain new understanding into the universe. It's a super-hero movie and this one is a great one representing the first major black super-hero and featuring an amazing cast. While I don't think for a second that it should have been nominated for Best Picture, it definitely deserved the oscars that it did win, because the design and costumes in the movie are outstanding.
