I love Adam Driver in this. Such a versatile character. Mr. Washington did amazing. Great cast. I can see why they received so many nominations. One of my favorite gifts I received for Christmas since Im a huge Adam Driver fan.

This movie Blackkklansman is an incredible true story and I was unaware that this had taken place in our history. Thanks for the awareness.

As you know Spike Lee has messages in his movies. There is allot of racial stuff in this movie because it's based off a book & the story is true. It can be tough to watch because it puts some of the nasty things in this world in your face. It's based in a different era, so the language & wardrobe is. It was a good movie as Spike Lee always delivers. I will warn you some of the racial things said in this movie will bother you, no matter what color you are. The language is graphic & actors in the movie convey the hatred in things their character say. They're good actors. Definitely put the kids to bed for those one. It's like a movie/documentary, not necessarily meant to tickle your funny bone. Watch additional features & see interview of the actual person that lived what's in the movie. I may read the book. Allot of the actors in this film read the book & decided they had to do this film. Great Movie, but tells & shows the ugly truths that we pretend no longer exist or never happened. #A Story that needed to be told.

Denzel Washington's son, John David Washington (Ballers), plays Ron Stallworth, a police officer in 1970's Colorado who decides to infiltrate the KKK. Of course, the problem is that Ron's Black so he partners up with a couple of White officers to meet up with the Klansmen in person. It's based on a true story although I'm curious about the percentage of truth in this film. For instance, I don't believe that the police department in 1970's Colorado would ever stage a sting to take down one of their own racist officers. Having said that, Washington, Adam Driver (Girls, Star Wars), Jasper Pääkkönen (Vikings) and Laura Harrier (Spider-Man: Homecoming) do great work here. But Topher Grace's (That 70's Show) portrayal of David Duke is the real treat. He did such a great job that he practically went on an apology tour as promotion for the film.

Not that he ever left, Spike Lee has been involved in other film projects, however, it feels that he needed to get back to scripted drama with a hint of sarcastic-racial-comedy. He honestly shines with Blakkklansman. John David Washington and Adam Driver are amazing actors, yet I was most pleasantly surprised by Topher Grace, who does an extraordinary job playing grand wizard David Duke. Another aspect of the movie that is not much talked about is the cinematography, which shines in this high definition version. I was able to get all these thanks to a sale at Best Buy. My recommendation is that you don't miss those.

Brilliant storyline exposing the kkk for what they have always been: ignorant, horrible “scared” inhumane trash. Rhetorical question but how did they ever monsterize so much pain, suffering, death, and control? The kkk were/are sick, very sick people. Terrific acting. A movie definitely worth purchasing as it needs to be watched more than one time to pick up on scenes/scenarios possibly missed on the first viewing. Spike Lee is one of the leading, if not timeless screen writers/directors of our time. 100 percent top movie review.

The movie is great and fun and intriguing almost to the end. I knew it was a true story and it was entertaining and well-done all the way around. I mention the end, because if you have not seen it, the filmmaker did something at the end of the film to hammer the message home... and it is a brutal hammer. Amazing and horrible and true and necessary. I will be honest, it brought me to tears. If you did not see it in theaters, see it now. The 4K disc that I bought has great features and was on sale, but this movie is worth regular price.

Spike Lee returns to the forefront of what he does best, showing the people a side of their own culture that they would rather turn from. Bringing the life the story of Ron Stallworth and his covert operation to infiltrate the KKK, Lee paints a funny, poignant, and unflinching picture of race relation through the lens of those that are called upon to enforce the law and those that feel it is their god-given right to dictate it by birthright and pigmentation. The editing is a bit sloppy and the sound mixing can be a bit distracting, but the story and its importance can not be denied.

I hope that this movie rekindles American pride in all of us, that the KKK is and has always had a mean spirit and a hatred for those who don't share their same values. Unfortunately in this day age we still have to remind and then remember to explain to are youth that organized hate groups are very prevalent. They dress in suits and ties , when they not in full costume they could dress like you or me. So be careful with who you break bread with.

The story says it’s based on a true situation - in the 1970s a Colorado Springs police officer (the first black officer to be hired) asks to be assigned to the undercover squad and hatches a scheme to infiltrate the local chapter of the KKK. Of course he has to recruit another cop (a gnu of the proper hue) to actually be the interface, while he makes all his contacts by phone. The extras with the disc do not make clear how much is truly factual and how much is screenwriter’s imagination. It all works out in the end, but as my header says - it’s hard to believe it.

A heavy subject handled with just the right balance; the movie speaks for itself from the first trailer, so if you were interested you will like it, if your reaction to the trailer was negative it's still worth giving it a chance. The technical merits of the 4K blu-ray release are very strong, but I would've liked some more special features as this was certainly an interested film to make and having insights from the cast and creative team, as well as a full length commentary, would've been much appreciated. Still, a quality purchase.

This is probably Spike Lee's best move in 10 or 15 years, inspired work that speaks to the times. Adam Driver also continues to show he's extremely underrated when it comes to straight faced comedy or ridiculous situations in serious films. The visual presentation is great, especially considering the wide variety of film sizes and stocks used to make this film. Highly recommended!

When I heard Spike Lee and Jordan Peele were working on this was like wow!! Other thing impressed me main character is Denzel son is chip off the block. Did decent job. Also other cast made movie worth checking out. Movie is something we all need to watch. The ending shown problem our country divided due to racism. Movie has dark comedy and seriousness.

Excellent film based on a real story. Should definitely check it out.

The fact that this movie is based on a true story makes it all the more compelling. I bought it for a friend who had seen the original version and wanted to see Spike Lee’s interpretation. I watched it as well and thought it was a good movie and very timely. Spike Lee has a gift for making people think. Kudos to him

Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman is a powerful, fact-based drama worthy of its Best Picture nomination. The movie works well on all levels, and the only downside of this package is the almost complete lack of bonus features: only a single 5-minute featurette. The historical relevance of the events portrayed in the film makes the viewer wish that more substantial behind-the-scenes features had been included to document the real story.

This is a movie that I feel that everyone should see so they can be aware of racism that minorities went through. Blackkklansman is a story of an actual detective and his fight for equality in a discriminatory time. Just be prepared if you have never heard the stories. Lots of profanity and the "N" word.

Spike Lee directed this epic story based on a book written by the man himself: Ron Stallworth. A very epic film with tense moments from beginning to end; showcasing how a cunning officer infiltrates one of the most notorious gangs in America. Incredible movie from start to finish!

A charming, intelligent and quality film that is sure to please fans of Spike Lee and possibly even being over some new fans, as it’s clever dialogue, style and performances are effortlessly entertaining and engaging. The Blu-Ray itself is a quality release with sharp video and crisp audio.

I thought Blackkklansman was another great story brought to screen with a flare only Spike Lee can bring. A great cast, a great story and some humorous moments behind a true story line. Another great Spike Lee movie to go alongside Malcolm X, Do The Right Thing and Get On The Bus!
