I connected mine (with a kit) to the natural gas supply for my house with a kit, and it performs very well. It has plenty of cooking space and the hinged lid is nice. In fact, I bought this model because of the hinged lid. I don't like the ones with just a cover. It was easy to assemble. I recommend a good cover.

I finally bought one and I would recommend this griddle to everyone!! i have cooked almost every meal on it since i got it. Breakfast bacon, eggs and blueberry pancakes cook up great. Lunch cheese burger and fried mushrooms and onions perfect. Dinner i made NY Strip, fried mushroom and onions, asparagus and fried potatoes, Outstanding!!!! It was easy to use and even easier to clean up. Blackstone Griddle is a MUST HAVE!!!!

However, I was upset after I purchased it when I found it for $70 cheaper through two different competitors. I will say the staff at Best buy is top notch! Hopefully the cover that I purchased well last better than any other one I've purchased in the past. Also, I do love the fact that Blackstone provides many YouTube videos to assist and enhance the cooking ability on their grill.
