Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Yeti X Professional Wired Multi-Pattern Condenser USB Microphone's exceptional sound quality and ease of use. Many appreciate the included software and the microphone's numerous features, although some find the price point high and the size larger than anticipated. The design is frequently praised, but the use of a micro-USB connection instead of USB-C is a common point of criticism.

As a Gamer/WoW fan and someone trying to improve my personal mic reception, this is defiantly a nice little purchase for me. I love the design and how easy it is to use, plus with the voice modulator program, I've been having a blast playing with my voice. For any WoW fan, I would say 10/10! Would recommend.

Mic arrived today and I tested it out right away. I'm a female gamer who plays a male demon hunter for a main and I wanted to really get in character while playing. The male demon voice is just ok, not really true to form but it's def demonish. I was told I sounded like a drag queen which has me less than thrilled. Mic is made of solid metal which is rare these days and nice. Feels solid and it's nice to look at. Color isn't bad and the gold accents are a nice touch. Item arrived in a ripped and opened box which I am not happy about after paying $213 for it. Considering returning it.

Honestly I did not buy this because of the whole "World of Warcraft" theme (I never even played it) but I really love the color scheme which was one of the reasons why I chose this. The "WoW" was just a bonus. **Pun intended** Anyways, I did many research on the Yeti X and many others of the Blue Mic line from Logitech and heard nothing but pretty good reviews on each of them. My first impression when I unboxed it was "WOW, this is huge." ***again with the pun*** After I hooked it up and started up the G Hub, it was quite easy to find my around. The sound picked up really well in all modes and the clarity to be heard on the receiving end was amazing. The extra gimmicks within the G Hub that came with this WoW edition was also a fun tool to use especially if I wanted to mess with people during my ZOOM meetings with the voice changer. On a side note...My daughter loves to sing using it as well especially using the Demon voice changer from one of the WoW characters..lol..anyways, The Yeti X is a great mic to have for those who stream or Podcast. If you don't care for WoW then the regular Yeti X would do just fine plus its $30 cheaper for the exact same microphone. But if you're a big WoW fan or if you're like me and just like the whole look of it and you have $200 to spend, then by all means go for it. Which ever one you choose you'll get the same result in clarity and functionality.

I havent been able to play WoW in a few years, but I started a month after the original launch. I needed a mic for a podcast I'm going to be in, so I jumped on this one. My new MacBook won't open the software, maybe because I have to use a usb-c adapter to plug the mic in, as it has a traditional USB output? Hopefully its fine, as I have an HP coming in a few weeks and I can just use that. The product box came banged up, but the other box and everything else shipped with it was fine, so it came from the warehouse like that? The mic was fine, though. This thing is like a paperweight, and I love it! Love all the WoW branding, too. Alliance, ftw!

After unboxing and plugging in this solidly constructed and super high quality state-of-the-art flagship professional USB microphone, I came away incredibly impressed and knew i was in for something special. I was right!! I admit my expectations for consumer grade USB mic were far below that of a studio snob. I was surprised to see it out perform all but the most expensive XLR mics I use in the studio even when run through outboard Yamaha MG06x mixing console (save for dedicated guitar cabinet recording with expensive ribbon mics w/ Shure SM-57 combo rigs). This thing is only a few dollars more than the standard edition, but offers exquisite craftsmanship, and impeccable quality, all from the convenience of USB making for a portable podcasting station, grab your laptop, this WoW YETI mic (and USB-C —> USB adapter dongle) and you’re good to go. It comes in really handy too in this world of Zoom calls and classes. Zoom commenters seem to immediately comment my voice sounds “professional like a studio podcast” (even in an acoustical untreated room). As a bonus, Logitech G-Hub software allows for fun voice modulation of various WoW characters, LED custom configurations, etc. PROS ———- + superb build quality + exquisite craftsmanship + detailed relics and runes + attention to subtle details + amazingly high tech visually + sound quality on par w/ XLR mics + high-res LED voice monitoring + 4 microphone capsules + 4 pickup patterns (back button) - Cardiod - Omni - bi-directional - Stereo + sound sample streaming and recording + Logitech G-HUB multiple vocal effects CONS ———— -odd behavior on Mac, Little Snitch identified G-Hub sending data 24/7 -legacy USB micro connectivity limits usage with some USB-C devices -Logitech G-Hub can be a tad bit finicky at times (could be my machine) -personally I love the size, but some may feel it slightly on the large side CONCLUSION ———————— Not having been a WoW Fanatic like many of my friends, I wasn’t t sure how game specific this model was, or how good it performed in general purpose. I’m pleased to inform you that this USB mic is the real deal, and by far the BEST YETI YET. Recommended a definite Best Buy !

I've wanted a Blue Yeti Microphone for a long time after hearing about how great they are, and now that I have one I can honestly say that it easily lives up to the hype and exceeds all expectations. I've used this now in numerous conference calls for work as well as for creating online video content, and the audio it produces is worlds better than the equipment I was using previously. My voice is crisp and clear, even when I'm not speaking right up against it. The directional control works perfectly too making this mic extremely versatile. The controls and features are simple to use and you don't have to be an audio tech to figure it out. I especially love the red/green light ring on the knob that lets you know when its muted or not, simple, but highly useful. With this there's no more scrambling looking around for the mute button in zoom/teams/discord during work calls (my team actually uses all of those). Setup is as simple as just plugging it into your computer. I use a linux machine for work and mac personally for video content I create. With both on my desk I can switch between them at any moment and the mic just works. And that's all without even using the G Hub app available for this mic, which unfortunately isn't available for linux, so I couldn't use some of the fun features during my work calls. Which is unfortunate as I wanted to hear people's reactions as I used various WoW voices. But it does work on the mac, so I did get to play around with it and it honestly is a lot of fun. I may have to take some work calls on my personal computer just to have more fun with it. Then there's the build quality. This mic is solid, heavy (in a good way) and there's absolutely nothing that feels cheap with this. And being the WoW edition, the aesthetics not only look good, it almost feels and looks like a collectible statue. You actually don't even need to be a WoW fan to appreciate this mic. If there's one negative I have, its that it uses a micro-usb connection instead of usb-c. I realize that's getting a bit nit-picky, but it would be nice to be able to start using one cable type across my various electronics. Otherwise I have nothing but praise for this mic and wish I had one a long time ago.

WOW. You might think that I’m referring to World of Warcraft there…and I am… …but also… WOOOOOOOOOOOW. This microphone is AWESOME. First off, it’s well packaged. I would keep the inner box with the foam insert in case you ever need to store it (although I don’t know why you’d EVER pack this away). Secondly, it’s beautiful. The unit is a charcoal grey with gold trim. At the base, there are runes from World of Warcraft (WoW) etched on the base. On the underside of the microphone, there is a headphone jack and a recess for use with a microphone arm or stand. It reminds me of an award that one might get FOR broadcasting instead of USING it for broadcasting. It’s that sharp. Setup is easy. You download software from Logitech (I didn’t realize that Blue was part of the same company). This is where you will find the software that has the special WoW effects. The unit is wired (USB cable included). I was a little surprised by that, but it could be because the sound is better that way. I also researched other software that I could use with the mic. I downloaded Audacity for free. I also downloaded Blue Sherpa, which said it worked with this model, but my mic wasn’t being read by the software. The sound is fantastic. The effects are so cool. There are sound effects with the Sampler, such as different Creatures and Spells. Just using your voice, you can do so many things. You can record a sample of your own voice and then modify it with different effects. There are multiple modes for using the mic just as it is (without the added WoW features). The button on the front is also customizable. You can change colors, you can use as a mic, or mic and headphones together (with the headphones plugged into the mic), or direct monitoring. The LED lights can also be programmed for metering the sound. Unlike other products I’ve tried, this unit has a laminated card made to stand up on your desk with the different features outlined on how to use. How clever is that? Run, don’t walk, to pick one of these mics up. It would make a WONDERFUL gift for the streamer in your life.

WoW – Exceptional outstanding Mic w/cool features

This new edition to blue family of Yeti X wow definitely sets its apart from its previous generation of Yeti X with its unique metallic gold accent rims, laser etched stylish runes carve across the bottom of stand, is just WOW and looks incredibly good along with the world of world logo at the back side. This will blow the expectation of anyone who is a gamer for streaming, content creators or for conference calls with its outstanding performance. Sound quality is exceptionally good and the design is similar to the original Yeti X except this time it added a cool gold trim around the top of the body. The metal grille that covers the four capsule condenser has customizable lighting and can control various pattern like cardioid, omni, bi-directional, stereo. Knob located on the front of the mic has LED meter for a quick glance of the voice level. This WOW edition has the runes on the LED display which looks cool compared to the original YETI X. Setting the modes is very quick and is easy as pressing and holding the knob for a second. You can quickly switch between the modes for Gain, Metering, Blend, headphone level , Mute and the colors corresponding to it. For example: if you select Gain it turns to blue, white , red for mute and green for on. You can also customize the led color using the Logitech G Hub software to any color which is a great feature to match your gaming setup. Yeti X WOW is a just a plug and play for Mac or windows and uses micro USB to USB A and does not need any software to function. Also, it has 3.5mm headphone jack and threaded adapter to attach to various accessories like boom arm or suspension mount. Microphone base is very stable, sturdy and heavy(2.8lbs) and has a foam for non-slip feature. Another great feature of WOW edition is the warcraft character presets and the voice modulation. With the advanced voice modulation feature you can change the modulation of your own voice into an Orc or Demon and different selections during your online gaming streams. Also, there are lot of voices to choose from the software which adds lot of fun to use this microphone. You can also record your own sounds or download online and assign them using the Logitech G Hub software. If you need to get the most out of this WOW edition is by using the Logitech G hub for voice modulation, voice samples and custom lighting options. Overall, great professional USB microphone with custom casing, laser etched runes, cool design with advanced voice modulation features really sets this microphone from other competitors and highly recommend for anyone looking for great streaming or gaming experience.

As an amateur, I’ve always just used my headset to communicate while gaming. Sure, I’ve seen Blue Yetis at Best Buy and heard from friends about how great they are, but I never really bought into the hype...until now. As a WoW fan, the moment this mic dropped, I knew I had to have it. It has been an incredible addition to my gaming rig setup and has absolutely improved my audio quality while communicating online. Like it was for me, I think the biggest draw with this mic is the aesthetic. It is absolutley gorgeous. From the matte gray body to the gold accents and etched runes, it’s perfect. The gain adjust lights are customizable, so you can either have them match the mic itself or other aspects of your rig setup. Overall build quality is just hard to beat. Of course the other draw for Blue Yeti mics is ease of use and sound quality. The moment you plug this mic into your PC, you are prompted to download G-Hub (assuming you don’t already have it downloaded for other Logitech peripherals). This is where you can access the Blue VO!CE software and this is where some of the extra fun that this mic provides begins. First, there are a TON of voice clips to choose from, particularly if you’re a fan of Jaina, Sylvanas, Thrall or Bolvar. These clips can be played so that your friends can hear it over Discord, or if you’re a streamer you can incorporate them into your stream. I’m a huge fan of Jaina, so being able to play lines like “My magic will tear you apart!” when a guildie cracks a sarcastic joke at my expense has been a fun way to use what this mic offers. It has tons of classic sound effects from WoW to choose from too. The only thing I’m not as impressed with are the voice changing options. They’re fun to play with, but they don’t scream “WoW” to me as much as they seem to be just generic voice modulation profiles. To be clear, they work and they do a good job, but the “Demon” voice profile doesn’t really sound like a WoW demon, the “Orc” profile doesn’t really sound like an orc, etc. You can try these out on Blue Yeti’s website to see if they do the trick for you, but for me I was unimpressed. I don’t think I’ll be using the voice modulation software included with the mic. That said, this is still the best mic I’ve ever used for communication over Discord, and on top of that, I’m starting to stream my gaming on Twitch - the sound quality for that has been incredible. If you don’t know anything about microphones or sound setup (like me!) you’ll get tons of mileage from this one. It’s gorgeous, the tech is powerful, and the fun bonuses that come with it are fun to play around with...even if not all of them are winners.

Blue Microphones - Blue Yeti X World of Warcraft Edition The new WOW edition Yeti X is a great looking 4 capsule Microphone from Blue that was developed in collaboration with Blizzard entertainment and Logitech. The Microphone is USB plug and play on Windows 10 and Mac OS. The shape of the microphone is the same standard Yeti X but has additional design ques from WOW. The Gold and Gunmetal grey color scheme give the Mic a very bold look, sure to stand out on your podcast or video gaming stream. Look closer and you will notice the WOW runes carved into the gold base and the color LED runes replacing the dots for the volume control. These just look cool! If you install the Logitech G Hub software you get complete control of not only the audio functions but the color LED’s. You get hundreds of sound samples from WOW including the new yet to be released Shadowlands. The sound clips can be assigned to your soundboard and if you have a Logitech gaming keyboard you can assign them right in the G Hub software. The G Hub software has Blues famous standard filters along with special effects added from WOW. You can modify you voice to sound like and ORC, Demon, Imp or Gnome or transport to a location like the Pig and Whistle stage, Kings Chamber or Cathedral of light. You still have full control of the mics parameters and can make your own samples. The G hub software and the Yeti X make all of the easy and vault this mic to the top of the Streaming hill. The microphone has 4 distinct capture patterns, Cardioid for broadcast, streaming and gaming, bidirectional for interviews, Omnidirectional for picking up ambient sound and Stereo for sound samples and recording music. The microphone also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and can be used to control your headphone volume. The smart knob controls microphone dynamic gain, headphone volume and can also can be set to blended mode where is allows a blend of the mic sound and computer sounds into the headphones I did a soundcheck on Discord and YouTube Livestream and the audio sounds great. An accessory mic boom is available if you don't want to use the stand. This Mic is about 30$ more than the original Yeti X but is worth it based on looks alone, if you are a WOW fan this is the mic to get!

I was not expecting such a robust package. This microphone is dense, and you get the feeling it means business right out of the box. I never thought spending $200 on a microphone would be something for me to consider. But after having it in my possession for a bit I have convinced myself otherwise. As soon as I picked it up out of the package I felt like I was holding something that was worth the money. The materials, the feel of the finished surfaces, the audible and tactile clicks on the buttons and knobs, the detail of the runes on the base and in the custom LED dial...they all feel and look top notch. The ONLY thing I would like to change about this is the USB micro connection at the base. I would prefer a USB-C type but outside of that, there is nothing about this microphone that remotely suggests there was a compromise made. It’s even so well balanced that if you sit it on a desk that isn’t exactly static and you move it around, the mic doesn’t move. Looking at it you would think that it’s top heavy and would tip over easy. This is not the case. The tweaking and customization at your hands via Logitech’s G-Hub are wonderful. This typically stands out for steamers and those who record podcasts and such. But what I have found that this is also a great addition to those who want better audio clarity when working from home. Even attending virtual events with groups like distanced family holidays, sporting events or even concerts where your cheers/boos/crying from excitement or despair with this capturing your audio is a better experience for all. What more of a favor could you do for a band or a sports team than to give them a chance to be appreciated by hearing you? And how great is it when your family can hear you clearly on the other end? It only enhances the experience. Especially when you surprise someone that’s unsuspecting with the Helium Chipmunk filter…haha.

Summary: Solid construction, innovative interface, and great VO!CE controls. Pros: * Blue VO!CE offers fine-tuned control over your voice and effects. It can be a little overwhelming if you aren't accustomed to that control. * VO!CE Warcraft Presets offer a fun array of effects to make your voice sound like in-game character heroes, villains, races, or story settings. * Interface controls on the mic itself are nifty once you acquaint yourself with them. They are intuitive, but be sure to reference the accompanying instructional flyer and use the companion configuration GUI for optimal use. * Warcraft Themed. The etched runes, the lighting, etc, really help set this device apart from the other models. If you're a Warcraft fan, streamer, and have need of a mic - this is a great option. Cons: * Logitech G configuration application required to make use of the advanced features of this device. No direct configuration using a mobile app (something that I think would have been better). This is fine if you are bought into the Logitech ecosystem with their keyboards, etc. If you are, then you'll also be able to leverage the available Warcraft official sound bites as well. * These awesome effects I go on about sound fantastic while testing from the configuration GUI and for recording or casual conversation, but not so great when active in a fight [i.e. during gaming] or regular use such as on a rowdy Discord. This feature might be a bit of a miss if using Warcraft VO!CE profiles is a reason you chose this model Yeti over another. The 1* deduction is because this doesn't appear to function out-of-the-box as expected. I'll need to perform some more tuning to see if perhaps the performance issue is due to user error. Use: I use the mic for my work Zoom calls and while playing games with guildies via Discord. The Blue VO!CE effects definitely make a difference! These mics help fill out my voice and definitely improve the presentation quality of speech. I think as a "regular" high-quality mic, these are great. I find it best to just enable Blue VO!CE, but not the WoW character game VO!CE effects.

Short version ( do last ) Pros: Stand weight / stability WoW design G Hub software customization Cons: Microphone weight is a little heavy Micro USB cable powered, not USB-C Susceptible to keyboard clacking Upon opening the Box of the Yeti X World of Warcraft (WoW) Edition microphone, I saw that the very heavy microphone positioned upside down on the base, was perfectly centered and surrounded by thick foam padding. Wedged in the corner were the micro USB and 3.5mm audio cables (see pic). My first impression was that this is a cool looking “World of Warcraft” themed microphone. The base and accents are gold and the base has some laser etched symbols, referencing the game. The button and dial are seemingly the same as other Yeti X microphones that I’ve seen online, with some cool theme-driven differences (see pic). The microphone easily tilted into place and immediately after adding power to the microphone from the Micro USB cable (what?! No USB-C?!) brought up the driver install prompt and it knew that it was the WoW version, pretty cool. The LEDS around the dial were immediately noticed flickering with the ambient noise around me. My PC’s fans go crazy when the CPU is being worked and that registers on the dial. As I banged around on my desk, I noticed the LEDs bounce around and even show the ‘max’ levels with amber and red. Adjusting the dial for microphone gain can help here - but it also plays with how much of your voice is let in. Being a Logitech “G” user, I already have the G Hub installed, so I went into the program and found that the Mic was “installing” - likely adding the audio features that are needed for the audio adjustments and cool tweaks that target the players of WoW. It’s a big microphone that stands about one foot (11.5cm) tall and the base is around 4.5 inches (11cm) wide. Facing you (front), is the audio adjustment dial and a single “Blue” logo on the mic. Facing away and/or towards a guest (rear) is the World of Warcraft logo on the mic and “Blue” logo on the stand. Adjustments via the rear button handle the four (4) different polar patterns that can be used, based on need: Stereo, Omni, Cardioid and Bi-Directional. Streamers and gamers typically prefer the Cardioid mode as only the front part of the microphone will pick up sounds. There are plenty of online resources to help you choose which pattern is best for your use-case; for me in this review, I’m sticking with Cardioid. The G Hub software allows total customization of LEDs, Direct Monitoring with Headphones and how much PC vs Mic sounds you can hear (G Pro headphones call this Side Tone) just to start. Along with those, come the more targeted features: the Blue Vo!ce control and WoW Effects. Want to sound like the Demon or Litch King? Pick one of those effects and have some fun. None of these effects are tied to WoW so feel free to use them when hopping onto COD - Modern Warfare and see if your friends can figure out what’s going on with your voice. You can record yourself speaking and then apply the filters to hear the differences - this is pretty cool and helped me immensely to land on my favorite “traditional” filter: Crisp and Warm. Even if not using the monitoring mode, you can hook your headphones into the 3.5mm jack on the bottom of the mic and have all of your audio that way; I like the ability to hear myself when I talk so I know if I’m yelling or not. With PC gaming comes clacky keyboards, for which I have a blue clicky Logitech G Pro keyboard as well as a Linear Red HyperX Alloy Origins Core. This mic picks up all the clicks! People in my group even went so far as to ask me if I was running with a new mic because my blue clicky-clicks were so loud. Tying into Discord was instant as well as Discord picked up the new Mic and seamlessly switched to it. There was no Pop or Wind filter included, so I’m not sure if those could have helped - though they really only take care of the harsh P, B, T & S sounds. I moved this over to the work PC and when using a Logitech MX Keys, the sound is not noticeable, but sometimes mouse clicks are; Microsoft Teams and Zoom recognized the mic without issue. Tuning the sound to your preference is key, as Blue makes it really easy to get a sound you’ll like. I enjoyed using this microphone and the universal acceptance in all of the software that I use makes it a pleasure to interact with. Do I recommend it? Yep, I sure do - but would recommend a boom arm to get it further away from the keyboard.

Hello nhtechie! We're happy to hear you're enjoying the World of Warcraft Yeti X! Since you're using Discord, there is a way to make sure people can't, or can barely, hear your keyboard, depending on how close the microphone is. If you turn on Krisp, in Discord, it should fix that side of things. Otherwise, I would recommend adjusting the Noise Reduction settings, in the Blue Voice section of the WoW Yeti X in G Hub. This will help with any background noise while you aren't talking. Feel free to reach out to our support team here https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000621393 if you ever need any assistance. Thank you for all of the feedback and for shopping Logitech G! - Maggie from Logitech G

    Solid Microphone Experience

The Blue Yeti X Warcraft Edition USB Microphone is the latest entry to the Yeti family based on the previously released Yeti X. Crafted especially for those who are fans of World of Warcraft, the Yeti X features an exclusive gray and gold and top level craftsmanship to commemorate the game. In addition, it features exclusive runes from the Warcraft universe etched along the base and around the multi-function knob on the front. In addition, it also features exclusive sound samples and voice effects that every fan should know. Since this was my first hands on experience with the Yeti X, I was excited to setup and test the latest offering! Upon opening the box, the new Yeti X microphone includes a quick start guide and a micro USB cable. The packaging was put together quite well. Inspecting the microphone, I was immediately impressed with the color as it is quite slick in appearance. The gold accents around the microphone and base accompany the runes that are etched at the bottom. Even those who are not a fan of the game would be pleasantly surprised at how well this looks in person. On the front, you will notice the multifunction knob and on the back you will notice the pattern selection button that will set your microphone to one of the four modes microphone patterns. Default mode will be the cardioid mode which operates with the microphone straight up. As for the multi-function knob, you will have 3 modes that you can choose from by holding the button for one second: microphone gain, headphone volume, and blend mode where the feedback is adjusted accordingly with the output volume (provided of course that your headset is connected into the 3.5mm at the bottom). Additionally, the colors that you see can all be customized to your liking. Lastly, by pressing the button in the middle of the knob, you will mute the microphone. Overall, setup is fairly straight forward. I do wish that there was more documentation included with the Yeti. There is a ten paged manual on the Blue website that I suggest you download. The G-Hub software is where the true potential of the Yeti X is realized. Upon downloading and installing the software, the microphone should be detected immediately. For simplifying this review, I am going to discuss what I observed with my Astro A40 headset plugged into the Yeti as opposed to my Creative Soundblaster ZxR sound card (as a side note, I was able to have my headset plugged into my soundcard, but also use the Yeti as my microphone). Additionally, you will need to make sure that your Yeti is the default communications device in your operating system along with the Yeti as your playback device. Once that is done, you will need to verify that each program has the proper microphone and output device selected. As for the G-Hub software, there is a learning curve that you will need to be aware of as it does take some time to get used to. Once you select the Yeti, on the left side of the page, you will have three options: Microphone, Sampler, Lighting, and 3.5mm. The sampler and lighting pages should be fairly straight forward. As for the microphone page, the advanced sound options are not available until you enable the Blue Voice option. You will then be able to record yourself then listen to the recording while you adjust your options accordingly. You may also select each pre-defined preset to hear how each of them will sound. During my communication sessions, I was able to fix my echoing by clicking on the effects tab and then click on FX OFF. Additionally, you will see several settings under the Equalizer and signal cleanup tabs. There are several settings such as compressor, limiter, and noise reduction just to name a few. There a total of 9 settings across both tabs. While the interface may not bother some, I initially felt that it took some time to get use to. I was disappointed that you cannot select the format your microphone records in, nor do you have access to the samples that you dynamically record while you are setting up your microphone (they are deleted, to my knowledge, when you record over it, or exit the program). In addition, there are some instances where the software is redundant. For example, on the 3.5mm tab, you will note a setting called Direct Monitoring. This is the exact same setting as blend mode that you can access by cycling through the different functions on the front knob. Another example I noticed was that you can select the same microphone modes within the software as you do with the pattern button. Overall, it does get the job done and for most I think it will more than suffice. However, more advanced users might dislike some instances I laid out here. In conclusion, the Yeti X Wow Edition Microphone checks all the necessary boxes that users will demand for their communication needs . As a fan the game, I am more than pleased with the look of the Yeti X. The overall craftsmanship is excellent and I am extremely pleased that they still retained a professional look to the microphone. The color scheme is subtle, yet very effective to the point that even those who are not necessarily a fan of the game would definitely consider this edition. Connectively, the runes on the base are exceptionally well done. With some minor gripes on the software, the Yeti X executes flawlessly on the hardware side of things. During calls, I was heard perfectly clear and did not encounter any issue once I altered some of the settings. Furthermore, I did not have to position myself directly in front of the microphone to be heard. All in all, if you are a fan of the Warcraft universe, and are in need of a USB microphone, the Yeti X Warcraft edition checks all the boxes. You should give one a summon! Recommended.

First things first: The Yeti X WoW Edition mic is stunning. From the gold-black trim, official WoW logo, and base, to the graphene color arm and mic finish, it simply oozes class. The runes etched on the base and the volume rocker totally satisfied my inner WoW geek! It feels more like a prop to display with pride -like a well-earned trophy. The build quality is not too shabby either. It is made of full metal, so it is quite heavy coming in at a little below 3 lbs. This makes the mic stand very stable, which is especially good if you are like me and knock the table often. I appreciate that there is some felt material on the base so that it does not scratch the desk. The arm knobs and swivel stay in place and the mic can be easily placed on a mic boom-arm. I feel that this mic will last for an exceptionally long time. The mic is connected via Micro-USB to USB. Personally, I would have liked to have a USB-C option so that I may be able to take it on the go with my laptop when I do studio work. Not a big deal, but worth a mention. Setting it up is simple: just plug it in and the PC will automatically recognize it. The mic features a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom to add optional wired headphones. The front knob controls headphone volume, mic gain, and muting. I have to say that the RGB runes look so cool when using it or when the voice levels move. This is very useful when adjusting peak volumes on the fly during a recording or broadcast. On the back, there is a button that changes the pattern (cardioid, omni, bidirectional, and stereo). But how does it perform? I am happy to say that it certainly did not disappoint. The quality of the sound it records is pristine. I recorded several samples at different directions and distances and the default setting (cardioid) picked up everything clearly and loud. I also tried with some background noise and again my voice was well recorded by the four-capsule array. I tried the other patterns and, while I will not really make use of them often, worked well -especially the bidirectional setting. Now, I will heavily recommend downloading (if you haven’t already) Logitech’s G HUB software. This opens up a world (no pun intended) of options to customize your mic experience. There, you can change the RGB lighting, microphone gains, headphone gains, equalizing, and, voice modulation. There are a bunch of presets to choose from. I appreciated the fact that I can adjust the bass so that my own voice doesn’t sound so chipmunk-like. One of the main features of the WoW edition is the voice effects. I had a lot of fun changing my voice from an Orc, to a Gnome, to a multi-personality entity. Now, this may be a bit gimmicky, I know, but I found it fun, nonetheless. In the end, I am really impressed by this Yeti X WoW edition from Blue. The build quality, geeky design, features, and software integration makes it easy to recommend -especially if you stream, record professionally, conference, or simply go on raids with your Guild, in the voice of your toon of choice.

This YETI X 'World of Warcraft Edition' Blue Mic is fantastic! First off, it looks incredible and is substantial. It's bigger than I expected it to be, it's heavier than I expected it to be, and the fit and finish of the product is top notch. Really happy to have it as part of our 'Steampunk Inspired' study/office. The gold/brass and matte grey give this mic a classy/sinister look, and the runes engraved in the base, and around the dial give it that special 'WoW' look. Coupled with the 'WoW' logo on the front side, there is no mistaking this special edition. Looks aside, this microphone performs really well. It has a completely customizable vocal range, for clarity, bass, acoustics, voice changing and color palette using the Logitech G Hub software. It is a 'Professional Streaming' mic, and the clarity is fantastic. I've used it several times in multi-person meetings and other scenarios and everyone can hear me clearly and crisply. The mic is a simply 'plug and play' into your Mac and PC. I tested both and it works as it should in both devices. There are 4 clearly defined pickup patterns, accessed by pressing the button on the front (facing away from you) of the mic. They are Cardioid, Omni, Bi-Directional and Stereo - with the recommendation from Blue/Logitech that Cardioid would be the most widely used of the 4 settings. I found the sound to be clean, not too bassy, crisp and clear, according to my work colleagues and friends online. Coupled with the microphone is the ability to customize it using the Logitech G Hub. This is where I had to take off a star. I've used G Hub on many occasions on a PC, I have a G903 Mouse and a G513 keyboard on my PC, but I am using this microphone primarily on a Mac, and quite frankly, I couldn't get G Hub to work properly on the Mac at all. First I had issues getting the software loaded onto the machine. It would get caught in an installing loop. I read about these issues online, and found a workaround to get it loaded. Once loaded, opened up the software, but the microphone would not show in the home screen. I then did a software update and was left again in a 'updating software' loop. I finally gave up. Switched to my PC, and the microphone synced up straight away and I was able to completely customize the mic, from changing the colors of the display on around the dial, to firing off sound samples, and changing my voice to sound like many WoW characters. Lots of fun and very entertaining indeed. The mic and software work flawlessly on a PC, on a Mac, I had issues. The customization of the voice settings is second to none as well, you can really dial it in using preset settings, such as a 'Broadcaster' or 'Male Vocal with Bass', but then you can go in and tweak those settings and then share them on within the G Hub software, as I say, very versatile. I would highly recommend this microphone if you are using it solely on a PC, the Mac software needs to be looked at, as it was severely lacking in my experience.

    WoW, Very Nice Microphone

I've been a fan of Blue mics and have been using my Snowballs and Yetis on my PCs at home. Their hardware is very premium, sound pick up is amazing (most of us probably use cardioid) and USB setup/connectivity is very much plug and play. This Yeti X is no exception; it is their upper tier Yeti model and contains a four-capsule array, LED metering, a multifunction smart knob, as well as software customizations using the G HUB software to name a few. As you've already noticed, this is the World of Warcraft themed Yeti X. For the extra premium, you get styling cues from one of Blizzard's top selling games. The gold trim and accents on the mic are beautiful; you will find rune symbology around the heavy base of the mic that are etched within the gold base as well as LED runes around the smart knob where you would typically find simple dot indicators on the standard model. This is surely a piece of hardware that will complement any gaming setup. Besides the look, you get WoW customized sound bites as well as WoW themed voice changers, all found in the Blue VO!CE app within G HUB. As soon as I plugged it into my PC, Windows immediately recognized it as the “Yeti X World of Warcraft Edition” microphone. It was shortly after that I was enjoying all the perks that come with using the G HUB software. In the Blue VO!CE app, I immediately was given a quick and easy crash course in voice sampling. Within the microphone tab, I could take my voice sample and apply the “Blue VO!CE” treatment, which truly gives your voice a complete makeover. There are various presets to choose from (I enjoyed Broadcaster 1, personally) and with each selection you are able to see equalizer settings as well as signal cleanup settings. If you play with these settings, you can create your own custom presets that tailor to your gaming/streaming/singing/voice over needs. It’s quite powerful IMO. Moving over to the Effects section will find you in the Blue VO!CE Effects; this is where you’ll find those custom Warcraft voice changers that only a WoW player would truly appreciate. But they are all a lot of fun to listen to! I believe it also includes the default voice effects that would normally come with the standard edition. You can choose a voice effect and run with that into your gaming session as well as your Zoom calls! I mean, why not? Moving down a tab you’ll find the Sampler section where you’ll find a ton of sound samples from the game. Again, if you’re a WoW player, you’ll probably appreciate these sound bites. You can take these sound samples and bind them to hotkeys to playback during those opportune moments in a game. It does say that it can only bind these to a compatible Logitech G device, so maybe you need a Logitech keyboard to do all this??? Moving down another tab are the Lighting options where you can customize the lighting behavior of the LEDs on the mic. You can change the colors of each mode (microphone, headphone, direct monitoring), live or mute, as well as the normal/high/peak level indicators. On the backside, you can even change the colors of each sound pick up pattern. All lights, with the exception of the metering LEDs, can be changed to a breathing/pulsing mode and adjusted for speed. The last tab is the 3.5mm output settings section where you can adjust the output sound to your headphones if you have them directly connected to the mic. Basically, you’ll have an EQ to mess with for your output, and you can use either preset ones or create your own. There is also a slider to adjust direct monitoring. Some other tidbits; the mic can be removed from its own base and screwed into a boom, much like the rest of the Blue lineup. It comes with a pretty long micro-usb cable, which I find refreshing because the other Blue mics I own use mini-usb. Yuck. I'm not gonna lie… I am a big Blizzard fan with their Starcraft, Warcraft and Diablo IPs, but I've never played a minute of WoW in my life in fear of a terrible addiction that can't be cured. But like me, that shouldn't shy you away from buying a mic like this! This is still a Yeti X at heart and has all the bells and whistles that a normal Yeti X would have. The real takeaway here is….if you are a big fan of WoW, then this is a no-brainer purchase. If you're a fan of gold accents and trim (like me), this is especially handsome looking and belongs on your desk. If you simply like the look over the standard Yeti X, then get this mic. If none of those reasons appeal to you, then you're better off with the standard version which still gives you all the perks of the G HUB software, minus the WoW effects. Even more, if all the extra creature comforts are not worth the price of admission, you can always grab a standard Yeti or a Snowball.

When my son moved out of the house, I gave him my old Blue Yeti microphone. So I was in the market for a new one. Now I'm a long time WOW fan, playing it off and on for the last 15 years. I don't have a whole lot of time to play it much anymore, but when I saw this microphone, my experience with Blue Yeti combined with my appreciation for the WOW game caused me to pull the trigger and pick this up. The microphone lives up to the Blue Yeti quality. It's a very solid build and I like the more compact size compared to previous versions of the Blue Yeti. Visually I really like the black/gold look and the laser-etched Warcraft runes on the base. The sound quality is excellent for a Microphone at this price point. Very much a great buy from my perspective.

Hi amarks94070, So glad to hear how fantastic you're finding the Blue Yeti X World of Warcraft Edition to be working out for you---we greatly appreciate the feedback and rave 5-star review. For some added benefits and value, I highly suggest that you download Logitech's G Hub software which will open up a whole host of features with some exclusive only to the WoW Edition. First and foremost, G Hub allows you to customize the colors of the LED rune lights along with the other LED color zones on the microphone like the smart knob LED ring and pickup pattern icons on the back of the mic. For the WoW Edition, there are pre-built presets for your faction or simply customize at will. Secondly, are the enhanced Blue VO!CE broadcast vocal effects. For the WoW edition, you can sound like your character's voice with studio-grade sound. Other presets can help take your streaming broadcasts to the next level or you can simply just create your own sound profile since you'll be able to set voice EQ, noise reduction, de-esser, de-popper, compressor/gate, and multi-band compressor and limiter. Here's a link to the download  https://www.bluemic.com/en-us/products/yetixwow/#downloads. Hope that you found this helpful and that it will help you further enjoy your Yeti X. Thank you for being a loyal Blue/Logitech customer. - Richard from Logitech/Blue
