Customers frequently mention the self-emptying feature as a game-changer, making cleaning a non-issue. The robot's quiet operation and easy setup are also highly praised. While customers appreciate the mapping feature and Wi-Fi connectivity, some express concerns about the mop function, reporting that it leaves streaks and is not as effective as traditional mopping methods.

The bObsweep Dustin Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum and Mop has been a fantastic addition to our home cleaning routine.
Performance: This robot vacuum does an excellent job of mapping the house and cleaning efficiently while we're busy working, playing, or just relaxing. It covers about 75% of our 1800 square foot house on a full charge, which is impressive.
Self-Emptying Feature: The self-emptying feature is a game-changer. It significantly reduces the need for frequent maintenance, making it a convenient and time-saving option.
Smart Cleaning: One of the coolest features is the ability to choose specific areas for it to clean. This targeted cleaning option is incredibly useful for focusing on high-traffic areas or specific rooms.
Battery Life: The battery life is solid, allowing it to clean a substantial portion of our home before needing a recharge.
Mopping Function: Although we haven't tried the mopping feature yet, we're excited to test it out in the future. It's great to have the option available for when we need it.
Overall: The bObsweep Dustin is a reliable and efficient partner in household cleaning. Its smart features, self-emptying capability, and strong performance make it a valuable addition to any home. We're looking forward to exploring its mopping functionality soon.

The difference in my house already is shocking. I should’ve bought one of these ages ago although I suspect the quality has really improved over the years very easy set up, connected to our Wi-Fi without difficulty, no problem sensing stairs and other objects. it does get defeated by the socks that my boys seem to leave everywhere but sends me an error message and easy to get it going again initially I thought this thing is so great. I may want one for every level of the house, but it’s actually easy to pick it up and bring it to other levels than walk it back to its charger. Tried the mopping function and it does OK but doesn’t do a deep scrub so it’s only good for light masses which is fine. Last a long time on its battery charge, over two hours and still going also manages to get over small lips without any difficulty such as carpet or slight change in floor level. My cat and dog have been curious but not completely freaked out about it like regular vacuums have had to manually clean out some of the hair, but I don’t think that will be an ongoing problem now that there’s so much less after using it for a couple of weeks. Got it on sale and it was a great deal.

Very good product, works as its supposed to. The vac has a little brush that falls off after the first week but the vacuum still gets the job done. It has a schedule option, its very smart with guiding itself, i have had some errors where i had to pick it up and pull out hair or fix the wheel or something got stuck but for the most part its smooth sailing. My mother in law bought one as well and she loves it. Works well on hard floors and carpet honestly. Its mop is amazing. I put watermelon fabuloso in it with water and it makes the floor look great. Pretty good but 4 stars because the piece fell off continuously within a week.

Bobbitt (bObsweep - Dustin)

We are newly minted Bobparents as he is our first grand robot! He’s a combo, self-emptying bot. Set up was extremely easy! The directions were in LARGE print, simple, accurate grammar and syntax and a breeze! The accompanying pictures were labelled and easy to follow. The quick guide made the initial set up very simple.
Bobbitt aka bObsweep - Dustin) has an app for mapping which is easy to use and easy to edit. You can create zones/areas for him to clean specifically extra times. If Bobbitt is stuck, confused or not working correctly (which hasn’t happened yet) it tells you what the error is and basically how to fix it. Quite simple. The app connected to my WiFi quickly and has stayed connected. We were away for several days during Bobbitt's initial week, and I was able to monitor his cleaning from a state away! He worked while we didn't! You are able to change his settings through the app even while he is cleaning.
I had been researching brands and was planning on sticking with a US brand for ease of instructions, customer service, returns, etc but found bObsweep out of Canada and knowing Canadian quality, integrity and reliability, thought I couldn’t go wrong. So far, so good.
On Bobbitt’s maiden mapping voyage, he got stuck twice (trying to get under the couch- wasn’t his fault - it’s a dark area rug surrounded by 2 “of hardwood and then the low couch bottom) but figured it out and hasn’t gotten stuck since. He navigates multiple corners, terrain of hardwood, tile and area rug. It’s really pretty fascinating and fun to watch him think through his next moves.
Bobbitt is fairly quiet, especially on the lower suction settings but even on high, the decibels are not loud. He’s unobtrusive and just zips around. His suction is great. I have never had such clean corners!
I haven’t used the mop feature yet nor replaced the bag but am confident both will be pretty simple and effective.
I will be in the market for Bobbitt’s mate Loretta for my upstairs and likely will stay in the bObsweep family.
Couldn’t be more satisfied. Shelley

Amazing addition to the home

This has been a great addition to our home.
Likes:
The app is modern and easy to use.
The quick scan function of our home was quick and accurate.
I like labeling/zoning out the rooms and no sweep/mop zones.
I schedule it to clean when I am not home and like that I can see the visual history of where it went in my home.
The parts are durable and easy to remove and clean which is amazing if you have long hair constantly getting tangled.
Dislikes:
It reaches everywhere except my small bathroom unfortunately which has a 1 inch lip at the entrance.
The Alexa connection also doesn’t seem to work which would be nice to have it spot clean areas without having to pull out my phone but that’s just another convenience.
One day after an app update my home map randomly became all jumbled where it basically mirrored my home so the robot was stuck trying to find rooms that did not exist. I just deleted the map and it rescanned quickly.
Overall it’s low maintenance and has been working great for the past 3 months. Glad to have gotten this deal before buying the bigger brand names for more than double the price!

I really like this smart boy (Dustin). He seems smarter than my previous robot vacuum that knocks it's way around the house.
Dustin first maps out the rooms, vacuums or mops( depending on the settings) the edges and then meticulously cleans the rest of the house. He works quite fast and once he's done, heads straight to the charging station without any loitering. So far I use the low settings on my laminate floor because the medium and high are loud.
Once a while it gets stuck when it's on a slippery mat or goes over a cord. There was once it stopped because it said the sensor was dirty but after wiping it, all worked again.
I also realized it avoids areas not included in it's map, so anytime you move things around, it requires that you remap your house.
So far I'm really impressed with it's performance. I wanted to buy another but I realized Best Buy has jacked the price from about 270 to 800 plus.

This is my first robo vac I always thought that maybe it is a waste of money to buy one, my husband saw that as deal of the day and convinced me to get one… this was a great decision I made science I have wood floors all over the house I used to sweep then follow it mopping and that too a lot of time and effort, Dustin does it all , I can let it go for all the house or I can choose rooms or spots to clean, very covenant, I can schedule it to do the job any day or time, this is great, I can’t be more than happy with this. First time you send Dustin to clean it will map your house, so my advice to you is to get you house ready for it buy cleaning any clutter or rugs with tassels that may get caught in it also open any doors so the space is included in the map.

I love this! I have used it without issue many times. It mapped the house out very well. It does not bang into things like previous brands I have tried. It gets on carpets just fine from hardwood. It picks up dirt and debris just fine. It empties flawlessly. The app options work well, following all settings as intended. I can make it vacuum from anywhere, or set a schedule. A user at home can start it without app access too. I would recommend this vacuum and purchase again if needed.

My first robot vacuum

This is my first robot vac, so wasn't sure what to expect. Unit charged faster than I was expecting. When I turned it on and it started mapping out the areas, i was impressed that it wasn't as loud as I was expecting. It was able to move around, in between counter stools, dining room chairs an adjist to the area rug. After about 50 mins it returned back to the charging base and I could see the map that was created. I have only used it once so far and have not used the mop function. Only negative was the loudness of the emptying on the dust, scared my 2 cats tremendously. I was not sure why it atempted to empty as i had it set to manually empty the dustbin.

I previously owned a iRobot Roomba. I liked it until after many years of having it, it stopped working properly. I saw this Dustin on Best Buy's Deal of the Day at great price and thought I would give it a try. I just received it yesterday. But I can tell, it's a unit I will truly enjoy. I don't have pets. But I do have 3 young children. And boy can they make a mess! Anyways, Dustin is making his way around the house nicely. I don't have stairs. So that's a plus with not having to set edge detection. I love the way it maps out the house. It's pretty accurate. And it's much quieter than my Roomba. Another plus. It picks up pretty good also. But I think the tub I like most is, when it gets stuck somewhere, (which isn't often), I can look at the map and know exactly where it is. With my Roomba, we would have to hunt from room to room. Or wait for it to speak. This unit is a half an inch or so lower, so I don't have this problem too often. I haven't used the mopping feature. I really don't think I will. But that's just me.

My third robotic vac - Roomba then Bissell now BObsweep. I love this one - very intelligent - love the mapping feature, ability to segregate rooms, and very powerful base station which aids self-emptying. Easy to setup and most important - my wife loves it.
Initially made a weird noise (not sure why) but somehow just went away.
GLAD to have purchased it - got a great deal.
Also my first mopping robot - decent and picks up a fair amount on the mop…
Finally, it maps the floor surprisingly well - and even allows you to map “no mop” areas..

This review will be strictly based on 2 things: first, I am not using the mop feature and second, I don't own a pet nor have children (although my brother is just like a 5 year old leaving crumbs and food everywhere) when I 1st activated this, I didnt have it hooked up to the Wi-fi, but the unit started to vaccum and map out the rooms. I thought that was odd, yet fascinating. When I finally downloaded the app and got it connected, it had the map already to go. In the 2 weeks I have used this, it has been a major time saver for me. You can set the vaccum power to 3 strengths and map 3 levels in a home (I only have 2) Get it on a time schedule (I have it set for all 7 days) Change the frequency of when it empties its dust bin into the supplied vaccum bag in its charging station. Set "no sweep" zones, although this has not been the most intuitive feature as it isnt 100% accurate against the map and the device almost fell down the stairs. I have worked with it and now is functional. Looking at the 2nd picture below, I have a a speaker wire cover that is a significant rise that seperates the kitchen to living room walkway. I watched it have an issue, but it kept trying to get over it. Then it raised it's itself up and managed to pass over it. Overall, I feel this little fellow is a great purchase for people that dont have kids or pets and if you take a little time to work with the map zoning, the time saved going forward will pay back big time

It works great, I like that it will determine if something is just a high transition strip and attempt to scale it to get over it. My last robot vacuum would get to the strip and just give up leaving my kitchen and living room unclean.
I also like that the app is super easy to use and allows you to choose exactly what you want it to do and where exactly you want it to do it.
I would say the only negative I’ve seen is it doesn’t notice things like socks on the floor and just goes right over them, naturally it attempts to suck it up and gets stuck. I also wish the app would send my notifications when it gets stuck, I’ve had times where it would get stuck and me have no idea until I get home.

Life with Dustin has been a HUGE game changer. There has not been a moment where the floors have been dirty since Dustin arrived in our home. We absolutely love the vacuum and will continue to purchase bObsweep products. Thank you for creating such an amazing product and please keep being awesome. PS for anyone with pets, this vacuum will leave your floors SPOTLESS. The mop attachment is AMAZING. Blows my LG zero cord mop by miles.

We have had Dustin for about six months and have learned what he does well and what his short comings are. Overall he does a great job keeping the areas clean and is able to switch from hard floor to carpet without any problems.
Dustin is very smart in that he can learn how to clean an area and after mapping the floor you can see where he is in his cleaning.
If there is an area that Dustin gets stuck at, the app allows you to create a 'no clean' area to avoid getting stuck. He also sees and avoids going down stairs.
If the floor has a lot of dirt or hair to pick up, he sometimes is not able to empty completely and he needs to be manually cleaned. The manual cleaning needed is to use the supplied brush to remove the built up dust on the filters and empty Dustin's dirt collection compartment. The roller brush also needs to be cleaned to remove dirt/hair when needed.
Overall, he does a great job of getting under furniture and cleaning the hard to reach places. It's very convenient to schedule him to clean and you have a clean floor.
He is able to store a couple maps so you can customize the frequently cleaned areas.

I like my Dustin very much. I used it for more than a month before writing this review. It moves fast and very agile. The self empty function is great and the dust bag is huge. It can hold months of dirt before the bag needs to be discarded. I think it can hold more than 70 days worth of dirt. My favorite function is the quick clean which you can pick a room or circle you desired area e.g. two specific rooms together. To add Dustin to Alexa for voice command, it is easier to do it from the bObsweep app, go to Settings->Alexa|Google Assistant->Alexa, follow the 4 steps instruction, make sure you use the email and the "assigned" password in Step 2 to enable the skill in Step 3. Overall, I'm happy with this robot vacuum cleaner.

We have been very pleased with our Dustin bObsweep so far, especially since it was an excellent price on the deal of the day. We have some thick rugs that it does get stuck on understandably, but it does a good job picking up dog hair and lots of it. It is very quiet compared to other robot vacuums we have used in the past, and we like the self-emptying aspect. We are still getting familiar with the application and programmable options but very happy with our purchase and would recommend it.

Alright so before we get started, let me give you some background so you can decide if you are on the same boat as me. My house has both hard floor and carpet, although I only used this in the hard floor area (it struggled in carpet so I just decided to vacuum myself in the rooms). I also own a golden retriever and have two toddlers. So suffice to say, there’s a lot of pet hair and dirt that needs to be cleaned.
The first day I used this robot vacuum, I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. It took it a bit over an hour to clean all common, hard floor areas and it did it quite well. Even the self emptying wasn’t as loud as the previous Roomba I had. The problem was what happened after.
Problem 1. And again, if you are not on the some boat as me (pet owner) this may not apply to you. The roller/main brush was constantly tangled with the dog hair. So every two days I had to open the Dustin and manually clean it. was quite annoying as if I didn’t do this, it would not clean as well and would even get stuck. This is supposed to be a “hands off” type of thing but if I wasn’t constantly on it, it would not do its job properly.
Problem 2. It’s mapping software is the easiest thing to get confused. Again, check if you are on the same boat as me (I got 2 toddlers). Whenever one of my kids would leave something out of place, say a shoe, a big toy, or whenever we would move a sofa by a couple inches or something, the robot would get confused. When it does, it doesn’t know where it is so it either just stops cleaning altogether (super annoying) or tries to find its base. It was hella funny (and annoying) to see it run pass its base a few times while searching for it. It would eventually stop altogether and then I’d have to rescue it and take it to its base again.
If you are not on the same boat as me and your cleaning is minimal/ have no pets (or wife lol) shedding hair and don’t mind having to rescue your robot every so often, then yeah by all means, if you get it mad cheap like I did give it a chance.
PS. If you are currently having the navigation problem, I found that eliminating the map helps. You’ll have to eliminate your map every so often though… I added a picture of all the times it has given me an error this week..

My favorite person in my household. Ok there is a learning curve with a robot vacuum. This is my first one. 1 it will try to suck anything up like a towel left on the floor or a rubber magnet man kids toy, but if you pick up all the loose stuff beforehand you’re golden. He can get under the couch and cabinets and places I haven’t been able to vacuum in years. And he’s quite thorough. The LiDAR is extremely accurate and I like you can go in and section off rooms. Play around with the vacuum suction settings for your needs it defaults to low. I haven’t tried the mop feature yet as honestly I’m super nervous about it and it seems like it will do a surface cleaning rather than a deep clean. His dustbin empty portal got jammed the first few times because honestly think it was picking up so much dust and dirt. So now I run him every night and he does a great job. The self empty feature is a game changer.
