I cannot compare my experience with "Bob" with other robotic vacuums for he is my first. I always resisted purchasing a robotic vacuum because I thought that I would have too many obstacles that would prevent a thorough vacuuming of my small apartment; however, Bob vacuums and places that I rarely got to and now are vacuumed daily i.e. under our sofa, under our china cabinet, and under the dining room chairs and a couple other end tables. I hate to admit it, but vacuuming was usually something only done when I knew a visitor was coming and it certainly did not include the spaces previously mentioned. I ask Bob to vacuume daily (sometimes more than once!) and he does so without complaint, including under the couch, etc. I was warned about a few things from friends who owned robotic vacuums, but they not proven to be so with Bob. He runs at night quietly and does not require lighting. He has only gotten himself stuck a couple of times (on cords and at the base of my sofa before replacing my legs with slightly taller ones). He was following my automated schedule until my cat decided to drop a pile of feces on the floor in anger over me moving his litter box and Bob managed to get pretty messy and smear the poop, so no more schedules for me! I now do a quick look around and then ask Google to vacuum and Bob does his thing! I do wish I had the ability to tell Google to vacuum one room or the other, but I can do this using the app which is fairly easy to navigate and learn. My Bob is a dark red ("Jasper") and looks as nice as a vacuum can look within my decor. It does not have automatic emptying of the bin, but it's so easy that this is not a big deal to me. Thanks Bob!

Vacuum works well and is easy to maintain. It deftly navigates my somewhat crowded floor plan with ease. Mop attachment does what it needs to do, but I have some complaints with the app in regards to this. There is no way to manually trigger the vacuum to only clean a particular set of rooms, you can only do this via a schedule to clean multiple rooms, or by individually selecting each room and having the vacuum clean each room one by one. As of the writing of this review, they also seem to have omitted the ability to set a scheduled cleaning in the mop setting. What this means, in practice, is if I want to have it mop my hard floor rooms I have to sit with the app open and select each room for a targeted cleaning. Pretty annoying. The other complaint I have is with the construction. There is a small rubber piece attached to the roller of the main brush assembly that is quite easy to lose while cleaning the brush. After cleaning out the brush over the trash can, i took the trash out and threw it in the dumpster before realizing i had lost this piece. I contacted bobsweep support, fully expecting to have to pay a nominal fee for replacement of this part, but to my surprise they sent me a whole new brush assembly (which i didn’t even need) and several extra replacements for the rubber piece, free of charge. Quality customer service like that is hard to come by and I think any flaws with the product are perfectly tolerable in light of this.

Bob officially joined our family back in December 2023 and he has been an absolute joy from Day 1. Sure, we had the initial training issues as are to be expected ("Bob! Stop trying to get under the couch! Bob! Stop trying to chew on the wires!) but with the proper boundaries established using the bObsweep app, Bob got his impulses under control soon enough. One time Bob forgot where he was, but after a quick conversation with support via email, Bob was reestablished in the household. Bob is perfect for pet-lovers and their hair, but I do have to say that he's frequently challenged in our household; ours consisting of three ladies and one young man, all with long hair that they like to sprinkle and fling around the floor throughout the day. Bob and I have had many a grumble session together as we cut, pry, and pull to untangle the mess from his mouth and whiskers! Our Bob also has personality. He shows grit and determination at getting any speck of dust or dirt from under and around every chair and table, his large googly eyes swaying back and forth as he shimmies his way between all the legs. Bob even has a sense of humor. He likes to clean reeeaaaal good right in front of the door that you are currently needing to use, such as a bathroom door for instance...this is obviously intentional and annoying at times, but that's just Bob. Sure, sometimes I wish Bob could empty his own diaper, but who knows; maybe sometime in the future Bob will get a new brother or sister that can! Suffice to say, we couldn't really be happier with our Bob and we hope he is around for years to come.

Snagged this for myself for christmas. Once he maps out the house he’s pretty smart. However i had to block off a few areas where he kept getting stuck and a rug in my laundry room he always seems to get stuck on. I’m a clean freak and couldn’t believe how much dirt he still found. His mop function is ok for spot cleaning but if you think this will do it like you can you’re wrong. A full battery will complete my 1300 sq Ft house.

Absolutely love Bob. Does an amazing job navigating our broken up and crowded floor plan. I am amazed daily at how much dog hair it picks up. I would agree with previous reviewers that the app could use some improvement as far as selecting a few rooms at a time that can be cleaned versus either all of them or just one at a time. Have not tried the mop feature yet so can't comment on that. Otherwise we are very happy with our purchase

Wow, this thing is fantastic. Goes easily onto carpets and the app interface makes it so easy to program the schedule. This is my second Bob. Loved the first one, but really wanted the new SLAM. I gave the old one away as a gift to a friend because I figured the new one would be even more awesome. It is ;) The layout of my house is pretty complex and it amazes me that Bob always seems to find the dock. There's nothing like the fantastic customer care and support that the company has too. Solid product and solid company. Get one!

We recently moved to an open floor plan, ranch style home. It seemed ideal for a robot vacuum. The Bobsweep pet hair SLAM was on a steep discount for a new, high tech, mapping robot. Given the excellent return policy, we tried it out. Bob works great! We have mostly wood and tile flooring with some low pile and decorative area rugs. It cleans all surfaces very well. After running around the house a few times, there is little cat or dog hair left to be removed. It gets in all the corners and under the furniture edges without a problem. Because the LiDAR eye is a small raised disc on top, the sides remain low profile to edge under furniture. Bob even managed to go completely under some of our shelving and a storage bench. I understand older robot vacuums just bounced around the house without ability to remember what had been cleaned. Due to the mapping functionality, this device knows where it’s been and what is left to clean. Pretty neat! I also noted that the battery capacity is on the high end, with a long overall running time. They estimate it can cover 1400 sq ft. That might be a bit much in one charge. I’ve noted it comes back to the dock at 25-30% charge remaining. I’d estimate it did 800-1000 sq ft on a single charge. The mobile app has great functionality with a visual map of the home made by the vacuum on its initial few runs. One can specify room areas, no go zones, and request only certain rooms or even general areas be cleaned. Or just hit go and let Bob do the thinking and cleaning. We are impressed and find this a great value on sale at Best Buy. Robotic vacuums must be a competitive area right now. Regardless, this one is impressive in functionality, adaptability, customization, and definitely in value.

Bob is a pretty cool product. He maps out the home initially and does a great job and ensuring the entire floor gets cleaned by zig zagging through the house. He gets stuck from time to time, so you’ll need to removed specific rugs, cords, or things from the floor before starting him up. But the unit is great at stopping it before any damage occurred. Overall, the SLAM technology is pretty awesome. I added a picture of my daughters drawing of Bob, because in our home he's an addition to the family. He finds his way back to the charging dock and everything can be managed from the app, including a schedule, or even a quick clean in a specific area like the kitchen or kitty litter. Very happy with the purchase because he is much more efficient than a broom, or even vacuum and does the heavy lifting for me, since I have so much hardwood. One thing to lookout for: cost of replacement parts are pretty expensive. It does come with two extra brushes and an extra filter, but beyond that, they're priced at retail to make good profits on the replacement parts.

The PetHair SLAM is fantastic! My wife and I previously had a PetHair Plus and while it was great for over 5 years, it was getting harder to repair and getting stuck on a lot of our odd surfaces. The SLAM literally improves in almost every aspect of the Plus. Before jumping into the SLAM review, it’s worth mentioning that bObsweep is fantastic when it comes to availability of repair parts and repairability of any of their vacuums. We were able to keep our PetHair Plus running quite well on a daily basis for many years due to being able to replace parts as needed. There is nothing worse than having to throw an entire appliance in the trash due to one small but critical component being broken. It does a great service to the environment and sustainability of the product (and our wallets) to be able to repair only what is needed, as needed, without having to take or send the product anywhere. Now on to the SLAM review… The SLAM has amazing battery life - it covers our entire first floor (approximately 900 sq ft) and still goes over it multiple times. You can easily map out zones you want Bob to avoid (rather than the previous blocks). It navigates SO WELL and even when it does run into things, it’s very gentle. It easily maneuvers over all the odd features on our floors like uneven thresholds. Last but not least, it’s incredibly quiet and we can now have it running without needing to yell over it. We have 5 pets (2 golden retrievers, 3 cats), so we end up with a lot of hair in our house. We have Bob do mostly hardwood, but he also needs to go over rugs and avoid water dishes. He avoids the dishes with ease (again with the mapping feature), and with a couple simple carpet floor grips, Bob can also get over our thicker rug quite easily. On top of that, he manages to avoid our pets when they’re in the way. Ultimately, he does a great job cleaning up all the mess they leave behind no matter where it ends up. One other note with the pets - they have toys everywhere, particularly under the couches and Bob can not only get under there, the SLAM does a great job picking up hair and debris while avoiding getting stuck on their smaller toys which the former PetHair Plus struggled with. Also gotta mention how user-friendly the app is. Super simple to understand and manage bob’s schedule, map, updates, etc. Last but not least, we love the logical path the SLAM takes as it cleans and it is incredibly efficient at finding its way back home. Long story short, this new SLAM is a huge upgrade and we couldn’t be happier with our purchase.

bObsweep is great when it comes to sweeping and getting up all the pet hair. I have a Shark robot for comparison and bOb definitely gets up way more hair and debris. Cons: He can’t go over cords at all not even a little or it will get trapped and possibly destroy your cord. I don’t feel it has the best mopping function compared to other robots but if you are looking to keep your floor vacuumed and clean from pet hair then I highly recommend bOb as I am able to walk barefoot in my home for the first time in a long time without pet hair sticking to my feets!

I use this almost everyday to pick up the dog hair. It’s very efficient and precise with it’s movements. The smartphone app is very nice. Takes a little getting used to, but after that it’s easy. Got it on sale and don’t regret the purchase at all. Recommended! No more fuzzy socks and walking barefoot is back.

The WiFi option connects to my iPhone and is user friendly. The maps option to customize and draw lines to stop the robot from getting into unwanted areas is very helpful. Unfortunately, my long haired German Shepherd's fur gets tangled in the mainbrush ends and has to be cut out. Otherwise, the robot vac works well.

This is the best Robot Vacuum I have ever had. I like that I can set a schedule and forget about it. We love having Bob in our house. We have two Yorkies with long hair so our Bob comes on every morning to vacuum the whole house, both laminate and carpet. Once a week he mops the laminate floors. Also a great job. The support staff is wonderful also. Terrific Service.

This thing has changed my life! Now that my dog gas gotten used to it, Bob (I named him Pat) is at my beckon call. I can check on him whenever and wherever i am. Does a great job with pet hair, and literally makes me want to be a cleaner person... the pic is the map he made of my house.. Genuinely ecstatic to talk about this addition to the family.

After reading some reviews and getting the “daily deal” price, I wanted to like it. The only reason I give 3 stars is for the design and how quiet it is when operating. Here is a picture of the 5th and last time I used it. All 5 times, it stopped somewhere else other than the base. Most of the time, it got stuck. It is not for long-haired pets!! I own 2 golden retrievers and keep them very well groomed. Still, the brush and other pieces got tangled constantly. The iOS app should be updated. Lastly, the mapping process is bad. I don’t recommend getting it even at a hugely discounted price!!

Love it so far, other than trying to empty the vacuum after it’s been mopping. Just have to shake it out instead of being able to open and dump it.

The device works great and picks up a lot of dog hair from the carpet. The small side brushes dusts and gets some hair from the crevices or gaps between the baseboards and the floors. It's very quiet and the battery life is great. The app could be improved, I changed my wifi password and there's no option in the app to change this setting, after almost 30 minutes I decided to remove the device from the app and re add it to set it up again, and yet it took me almost 10 minutes to get it connected to my wifi.

I’ve had my vacuum for two months now and I’m really impressed with it! We live on a small farm and it has been a fairly rainy spring/summer. We have two dogs with a doggy door so there’s a lot of tracking dirt in and hair (one of them is a Great Pyrenees). The BObsweep has kept up with sweeping far better than I could. I usually mop at least once a week with it. It’s not going to scrub your floor to get rid of dried on muck, but it will take care of day-to-day stuff. The rollers have never gotten stuck even when picking up long dog and human hair. I’m really glad I bought it.

This is our first robot vacuum and we got it to keep the kitty litter and fur from building up around on our hardwood floors. We run it a few days a week and it keeps the floors looking great. You can save multiple maps and switch which is active when you move him up or down stairs, which is very useful. He can get over smaller floor trim between rooms, but anything a half inch or higher might cause him to get stuck. If so, use the no sweep zones to corral him and he'll do just fine. The mop attachment is decent, though it's not going to scrub out any major spots on its own. Note: I would not have paid full price for this, but we got it on sale for around $200 making it a ln excellent value at that price

Delighted by the functionality of this product! bOb gets to pick up everything on the way including my long hair. Some of the things that I love about this new product is its great suction power, the hairs do not get tangled with the brush as with other vacuums and the side brushes are long enough to reach more dirt. In addition, it can be easily managed from the App to sweep, charge or to schedule a cleaning. I am super excited that now with the App I get to choose the time and days of the week I want my bOb to sweep and/or mop. I also enjoy the low power mode to save battery and clean more quietly. Days have been easier and more organized now.
