This BONECO healthy air P400 Air Purifier with HEPA filter, has made a huge impact on my ability to breathe, in just a weeks time. I suffer from allergies, which causes itchy and watery eyes, stuffy nose, headaches, and sneezing. I also have an air quality monitor that has alerted me recently that the carbon dioxide levels are a bit high, the particulate matter levels are high as are the radon levels, in my home. Since running this air purifier the air quality has significantly improved on all three that were high. The P400 was super simple to set up right out of the box. All I had to do was remove the tape and packaging on the filter, put the filter back in, read the P400 Quick Manual, and downloaded the application on my iPhone, plugged it in, and I turned it on and it worked like magic. I had to turn the fan up, because on low, I couldn’t even hear that it was working. As I moved the fan speed up, I could hear it, but just barely. On the highest fan setting, it was still quiet enough for me to sleep with it on, without it keeping me awake or disturbing my sleep. It’s easy to operate too, the buttons are on and a filter needs replacing indicator, and the speed settings, which are saved each time you turn it off. If you unplug it, you will have to reset it again to where you want it. There are 3 different filters you can get for the P400. One is for allergies, one is for smog and the other is for babies. They are HEPA and active carbon filters that help remove so much from the air. There is a little compartment on the back of the unit for fragrance. I chose to use a drop or two of an essential oil blend. It does not take much at all. I was unclear on what types of fragrances I could use in the P400, so I researched it. I found that most people use essential oils as they have benefits that help your wellbeing. Lavender and Chamomile are relaxing and calming, citrus is energizing, peppermint will help with headaches, eucalyptus will help with stuffy nose and congestion. There are also blends like I use that I buy that way, that are for specific things too. One of mine is called relax, because it contains all the different essential oils to help you relax. The cover for the filter and pre-filter is held on by the use of magnets. It opens and closes very easily. The pre-filter can be cleaned by vacuuming it and washing it off. The entire unit is lightweight, as I can pick it up and carry it to whatever room I wish to use it. It covers a big space, which is great. The filters are easy to change; but they only have to be changed once per year. The manual and application are somewhat lacking, but all the information you need can be found online by clicking a link in the application. I’d recommend this P400 Air Purifier

I've never had an air purifier before but after many recommendations from friends, particularly regarding Boneco, I was super excited to try out the P400 from Boneco. The P400 is quite bigger thane expected but I love the sleek and clean design of the purifier. Setup was super simple, just unpack, take off tape and plug in. I love the fact that it works with my phone, super convenient and useful for someone who loves having control at the tip of my fingers. The P400 has 4 different speeds that allows you to choose your level of air purification The digital screen is nice and modern and allows you easily switch between modes. Also has 3 settings: Allergies, Smog, and Babies. Happy to say that the purifier has helped immensely with my allergies! This thing can remove anything from the air, my room as never felt cleaner. All these features while being super power efficient and also almost dead silent on most modes. TL:DR; This Air Purifier is fantastic addition to any room and is great! The filter cleans super efficiently and I'm very happy with this product.

This Boneco Air Purifier P400 is a great air purifier with minimal functions and connectability. Aesthetically this purifier is elegantly designed and great to look at, but lacks in functions. Digital touch controls allow for on/off and manual fan speed control. Boneco offers multiple filter options (allergy, baby and smog) to fit your needs for clean air. The prefilter catches the larger particles and the activated carbon allergy filter captures the rest. This purifier works great at cleaning the air but lacks in available features. The device is powerful enough to clear a 600 sqft room ever 1.5h, but The lack of automatic mode requires you to continually change the fan speed. After a few days I've set it to medium and left it alone to run in the background. The device is very quiet when running at medium speed and almost completely quiet when on lowest speed. Packaging does promote an app for smart phones, but the P400 only utilizes the app for filter replacement reminders, but the device will notify you via the control panel, so for this model the app is unnecessary. If you are in the market for an air purifier there are other manufactures that offer more functionality.

I was beyond excited about the Boneco Air purifier because i live in an older model home that we havent fully remodeled yet. This air purifier is a large floor standing purifier that works wonders. Upon recieveing, I unpackaged it and read the directions. I then proceded to take all the tape off, open the filter closure and remove the wrapping from around the filter. I then placed the filter back and closed it. In the back there is a tiny compartment that you press to open up and you can pull it out to add essential oils to make your home smell amazing. I filled it up with some cucumber melon essential oil and placed the tray back in the compartment. I then plugged it in and turned it on with the touch button, set the fan to the highest setting with the other touch button, there is 5 different fan speeds, and then i left it on. This purifier is so quiet and put out an amazing aroma through our home within minutes. It has helped with the quality of air in home, picked up dust and debris particles and overall just gives our home a cleanlier feel. I truly love this purifier and use it daily!

In todays age we spend a majority of our time indoors couped up stuck to a computer screen and when we do get out the “fresh” air isn’t as fresh as it used to be. We tend to forget how bad the air quality gets at times and how it affects us not only physically but mentally and that is where the Boneco P400 comes in. The Boneco P400 helps purify the air to help remove allergens, pollen, dust, smoke and odors from the air. The Boneco P400 is a well made product with simple instructions, it is a little bigger than I expected but its small enough to lift and move around as you see fit. The setup/assemble process is easy and straight forward, just removed a few pieces of tape and removed the Hepa filter from its plastic bag. The P400 comes with a washable pre-filter and ships with a allergy filter, they also offer 2 different filters one which is catered towards babies and one for smog. The filters are rated for 1 year and the P400 has a notification system when the filter needs to be changed. The P400 also has a nifty fragrance tray so you can add some essential oils if you want to add some smells to your room to help you relax or for energy. A quick online search can tell you which oils offer what type of benefits. Now this product doesn’t have a connected app but this wasn’t too much of an issue, the controls on front are fairly simple to understand and use. There are two controls buttons on top which are used to turn the Air purifier on and the other control the fan speed, the power button also works as a filter reset switch. The small mini-led screen is bright enough to see during day light. The Boneco P400 is whisper quite when on the low setting however when you get to the higher setting it can get a bit loud but the noise is closer to a white noise sound so its not too disturbing when sleep, if you have a child it can double as a white noise machine. When I received the Boneco I wasn’t sure how much it was going to help me since I don’t really have an allergy issue and I personally thought the air qualify was pretty good in my room/home office so I decided to get a air quality monitor to get some numbers on how much of a difference the Boneco made. After letting the air monitor calibrate for a few days and using the Boneco P400 I noticed the CO2 levels along with the air pressure reduce significantly. Now these were just numbers on a display but what I did notice was I had a better night sleep and woke up more refreshed than usual. I also noticed that I wouldn’t get sinus pressure which eliminated the small headaches I would get from time to time. Now while I don’t have allergy issues my wife does, and she said it had a tremendous affect on her. She has not had a running nose or red/itchy eyes and has been sleeping like a baby since we started using the Boneco. I personally feel that the difference in sleep has helped me be more energetic and able to focus during the day and this just goes to show how much the air quality matters.

    Sleek Compact Air Purifier

The Boneco Air Purifier P400 with Hepa and Activated Carbon Filter, is a sleek compact air purifier that is great for anyone with bad allergies. I recent installed a smart Co2 detector where it informed me, I had a lot of bad particulate matter in my apartment and a high Co2 level. One of its recommendations was to invest in an air purifier to combat these issues. So that’s where the Boneco Air Purifier P400 with Hepa and Activated Carbon Filter comes in, after a week of it constantly on (Level 3 speed), I saw a significant drop in the levels of Co2 and particulate matter and someone who has dealt with allergies for a while now, I feel like able to breathe better and I haven’t been stuff up where I feel the need to use nose spray in order to breath. Installation for Boneco Air Purifier P400 is super easy, just remove all the packing tape from the filter along with the plastic bag over the filter, plug in and your good to go. There are two touch sensitive buttons that control the fan speed ranging from 1-5 and the power button. There is a little tray slot on the back where if you want you can drop some fragrance into the tray to freshen up the room and make it smell better. My really only complaint with the Boneco Air Purifier P400 is that its not a “smart air purifier” where you can’t pair it with a smart client for voice commands to turn it off or change the speeds. The Boneco app they tell you download only use is for the instruction manual or to order more filters. I wish this came with Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, so you could pair it to the app and have the ability to set up automations for turning on/off at certain times or just being able to change the speeds without physically having to get up to change it. This is a minor gripe but with tech nowadays, these are little things I feel should be standard. Overall, the Boneco Air Purifier P400 is a great little air purifier that gets the job done, and recommend it to anyone that has allergies.

    Very Quiet Unit

I’ve been using my Boneco Air Purifier P400 for about a week or so now. I really like it. The unit was larger than I thought it would be, as it supposed to only cover about 600 sq. ft. It’s an attractive unit, though, so it doesn’t really matter in the end. I am currently using it in my office, as I work from home. No matter how much I was vacuuming my office, I still would sneeze and sniffle all day. With the unit, I have stopped sneezing and have less sniffles than I did before. I take that to mean that it’s working as designed. The unit is very quiet. Even turned up, it is only as loud as a regular fan on low. It would be peaceful white noise for someone who would want to use this in a bedroom. The app isn't much to write home about. You can download the full manual from there (it does not come with the unit). There are a couple quick videos (really slideshows) that show you how to use for the first time and how to clean it. The app asks you to put in the date of first use so it can keep track of when you need to get a new filter. It also suggests when you need more humidity and the basic weather. That's it. I will say that I am impressed that the integration of the app is seamless -- no complicated set up required.

Effective QUIET Air cleaner Measurable Performance

We decided to give this air cleaner a trial in our master bedroom to see if it made any noticable difference in air quality. It is typically run at night. Not only does it make a measurable difference - the air just breathes easier ! My wife has severe asthma, we already change HVAC filters and clean regularly but that is not always enough. Placing this in a large bedroom, I did not expect a dramatic change. With it set to power mode - Aka 5 there is a noticable "difference" in the air within half an hour. I've attached an air quality monitor to show the difference in PPM for when it is running ( overnight ) versus not. The difference in that room is dramatic. I am impressed. The build quality of this filter is excellent. It can stand in a corner or against a wall. The air ejection port is straight up so no worries about having to place it out in an open floor space where someone might trip at night Volume - for the first four settings it is extremely quiet. The highest setting is somewhat loud but it's what I would refer to as "machine made white noise". We are able to run it on it's highest setting at night without it being disturbing in any way. We actually have a small white noise machine which I am not turning on when this is running as this is similar. What I love - Sturdy, well built CLEANS the air ! - See actual data in photos Not so great - No remote control at the price ? Overall - Great air cleaner

I guess when you hit a certain age, things like a new air purifier can be very exciting. So when I got the P400 from Boneco, I had high hopes and serious expectations. I was surprised when I first saw and opened the package: the unit was way bigger than I had anticipated. On the other hand, the room is pretty big and this baby was going to need to be packing some serious power. I live in the desert and that means a lot of dust, aggressive pollen and allergies. The P400 was very easy to set up. Every step is covered in the leaflet included inside. It's a very minimalistic design with nice curves and a black and white look. It will blend in with many environments. The controls are touch sensitive and the display shows the necessary metrics (on/off, fan speed). I will mention that the 3 stage filter cartridge is sealed to avoid saturating the active charcoal filter. As the specs mention, this filter is composed of 3 layers. Each one is meant to stop particles and other pollutants, and it eliminates odors as well (which is something I love). Once plugged in and ready to go, I turned it on and... well... I couldn't really hear a thing. I had to check if air was coming out. From fan speeds 1 to 3, you will barely hear it. Fan speed 4 is the loudest and most likely the most efficient one. Now, I'm fairly certain you'd like to know if it works as intended and I'm happy to report that it does. I have a device which measures the air quality in a room. A solid 90% reduction of particles in the air after about six hours of filtering. That's far beyond what I had expected. The active charcoal filter removes odors very well and keeps the air "fresh". The P400 has a neat little gadget: on the back of the unit, a smal tray with a small pad inside, which can be used to add essential oils or fragrances to the filtered air. Boneco, which is a Swiss company specialized in air purification, has hit a homerun with the P400. They have managed to combine style and efficiency and have delivered an amazing product. If you factor in that the filter cartridge can last for up to 12 months, you also save money on the long run (and also reduce waste). If you're looking for an air purifier, get the Boneco P400. It's the best air purifier I have ever had (and I have had quite a few over the years).

Very Nice But Where is the Automatic Setting

The Boneco Air Purifier P400 with Hepa and activated carbon filter in white is a very aesthetically pleasing way to package this air filter-- It is a very clean, modern, and almost stealth-like because it is virtually silent. The allergy filter was enclosed with my unit, this filter is very thick with a removable pre-filter or screen, that attaches by magnets and is cleanable either in the sink with tap water or by a vacuum. The white front panel re-attaches easily. There are also 2 additional filter types that can be bought: the baby for the nursery-diaper smells, and the smog. Also, the filter life is tracked through the app that lets you know how many days left the filter is good for. The dimensions are 22.1" high, 16.5" across, and 8.8" from front to back. Again, the description says that is appropriate to use in a room up to 600 sq feet, but then states online that it is best for either an office, bedroom, or a nursery which are usually much smaller than 600 sq ft. There is a touch led button located at the top (front) of the unit and it can cycle from 1 to 5, with 1 being the least forceful and quietest to 5, P for power, the most forceful and loud. Therefore, the more cycle icons displayed makes the fan run faster and louder. So, when I initially set this machine up, I looked to see where the "automatic" fan control icon was located. You see, I have several other brand air purifiers located around my home and several of them have an "automatic" setting which I leave on all the time. In my opinion, that is the best setting because during a normal or average daily time period, conditions are the same and the normal air cleaning on low/silent is sufficient. However, there are times, such as when cooking occurs that smoke, smells, and/or other particulates are in the air and it would be helpful for the machine to sense a change in air conditions so that it could rev itself up to clean and neutralize those conditions and then once taken care of, go back to quieter air cleaning. However, even though I looked online in the product's description, its app, and its attached instruction booklet, I cannot find anywhere that it has an automatic setting. Like other air cleaning and monitoring machines, there is an app for it and the installation of the machine is also done through the app. By the way, this manufacturer is a Swiss company, but I did notice that this machine is made in China--I am hoping that it was designed and engineered in Switzerland, though. Overall, I like the looks, the ease of putting it in use, the Hepa filtration, the essential oil fragrance ability, and it quiet fan ability, but not having an automatic setting is problematic to me

In my house we have two big dogs and two adults. All of us sleep in the same bedroom, the dogs also have crates. Our bedroom usually smells like dogs and dust. I placed this air purifier in the room for about an hour on High with the door closed. When I returned the room no longer smelled of dogs and dust. Not only did the air quality improve but so did my sleep! I usually have a hard time getting a good night's sleep, but this air purifier helped tremendously. There is even a tray on the back side where you can put essential oils. I did not try that feature, but this will be great to help freshen up a room, or to help with nasal congestion. Setting up was a breeze (remove plastic from filter and turn on) and it has a sleek look and skinny profile. I was able to push it against a wall and it does not take up much space. This was great because our bedroom is pretty tight with the bed and dog crates. While using the lower fan speed settings it is pretty quiet. On the higher setting it can be a little loud, but the sound is not overpowering. I have had lots of air purifiers in the past (I have bad allergies) and this one is missing something that others have had. I really wish this air purifier would automatically adjust fan speed when it detects poor air quality. It's nice when the machine will ramp up speed to keep the air clean, or slow down when it doesn't need to run as hard. Also there is no remote, so if you start out on a high fan speed to quickly clean the air and then want to turn it down to sleep you have to manually adjust it on the machine. These are not deal breakers for me, but it is something I noticed was nice with my prior air purifiers. At the end of the day this is a great air purifier that really does its job of cleaning the air. Even with the two minor issues I have, I would still purchase this again as it works very well.

I received the Boneco Air Purifier P400 with Hepa and Activated Carbon Filter in White, this machine looks really nice. Has a nice modern sleek look. It comes right out of the box ready to go, you set it up and turn it on and good to go, the controls are simple, on/off and power level, seems to be well made and durable. When you need to change the filter the cover detaches easily as it's only held on by magnets. It features a mesh type pre-filter that can be washed and a larger Hepa, carbon activated filter that should be replaced yearly. This is a simple, basic air purifier. It has a simple easy to read digital display on top, a low noise 5 speed fan, and draws only 27 watts of power for low consumption. It has a small drawer on the back which can accept scented cotton pads, oils, etc... As far as air purification, the unit does what it is supposed to do. This unit works by taking in air through the front and releasing it from the back, so it isn't uncomfortable to be sitting next to it. The unit is also quiet, It has 5 levels of power and is suitable for spaces up to 600sq. ft.

I have had the Boneco P400 for about set up in my bedroom for about two weeks. The purifier was smartly and efficiently packaged in the retail container, with filters sealed within the purifier itself, an instruction manual, and that was about it. I was surprised to see that no remote was provided. This led me to think that the app for my smartphone would provide a way to remotely control the fan speed or power. But the app only provides timing for filter life and replacement notifications. The setup for the unit was very straightforward and I was able to place the unit against the wall, as the exhaust for the purified air on the back is pointed upward and not straight out of the back, a big pro for me. The intake is positioned on the front of the unit, but is channeled in a way to make it look subtle, and aesthetically the P400 is minimal and appealing in any decor. Turning on the unit is also straightforward, with a power touch button and fan speed touch button on the top. There are four fan speeds and find number two to be reasonable for the bedroom. Moving to three or four produces fan noise that is more than I like for sleeping. I have an air monitor in my bedroom as well, and have noticed a slight improvement to the PM counts it shows with the P400 set at level 2. I believe the air exchange and the HEPA filter is sufficient for about 300 sqft. Overall I think the P400 is a decent purifier, however for the price I think there are better values on the market.

The packing box for the P400 might have you think the device is large and bulky, but it is not. In fact, its streamlined design and true size makes placement an easy task. Once out of the box, setup is so easy, you could have it plugged in and running in less time than it took to get it unpacked. Easy to follow instructions are provided in an enclosed pamphlet. Be sure to remove the plastic bag protecting the main filter. I have breathing issues and need clean cold air at night to help reduce nasal airway congestion. The A/C takes care of the temperature, so I need a reliable air purifier. I placed the P400 within four feet of my bed. After several nights of use, it has done an excellent job in assisting my breathing, which also enhances sleep quality. The P400 has five speeds from whisper quiet to “blow you away.” I am using the low speed; and, as close as it is to my bed, there is total silence. Changing air cleaner filters can get expensive, especially if you need to do it often. Fortunately, the filter on the P400 is projected to last a full year with normal use. The change filter icon will come on after 3,000 hours of use. In addition, the P400 comes with a 5-year warranty. While the P440 is great performance-wise, it is not perfect. It lacks a couple of features that could make it perfect. While there is an app for the device, it does not provide any control function for the device. In addition, there is no voice control. Any adjustments of operational functions are all manual. In today's world of hands-free operations (Voice with Alexa/Google or “There’s an app for that.”), it seems almost antiquated. That’s the reason for the lost star. It’s not a major problem for me so far, because I have had no need to make any additional adjustments. That said, it would be nice to have the option. Nevertheless, with this one caveat, I would recommend it to a friend.

    Quiet and stylish air purification

In many places - and at many times, particularly in these slightly more paranoid about germs times - air purifiers are a necessity. In our house, it's no particular paranoia, but rather allergens that make air purifiers a common bedroom companion. But most air purifiers are loud, generate "cooling" airflows that are lovely in the summer but not in the winter and aren't much to look at. This Boneco model fixes all three of those complaints. First, it's very quiet throughout the low/medium portions of its range (if you turn it on full blast, it can get loud, but that's rarely needed). Second, for this model, the air output is vertical - i.e., it blows air UP (it takes air in at the side) which avoids the "fan" / cooling effect and actually circulates the air better in the room. Third, it's stylish and slim, meaning that it's unassuming compared to many other options. Of course, as table stakes for an air purifier, it does clean the air removing impurities with a HEPA filter (replaceable) and scents with an activated carbon filter (also replaceable). It may not be the cheapest air purifier, but it does the job in a way that mitigates the complaints I've had with other air purifiers - and that's well worth the price. Highly recommend!
