I had a Bosch for 20 1/2 years before I needed to replace it so of course when I saw that the Bosch 300 was best overall I didn’t hesitate to get it. It’s even better than my old Bosch because of improvements and also the 3rd top rack that I personally really like for big utensils. I am able to get more dishes in this one too. My only issue is what others have said about some water left in it. The dishes are still sparkling clean. I just use the extra dry and it helps a lot. Because of how much I like how well setup this is and how well it cleans, I can overlook that with no problem.

Omg. It’s soooo quiet!! The faucet that’s next to it is louder that the dishwasher! My baby will never wake up from the noise of this dishwasher. He’ll wake up if I snore from the next room, but never from this dishwasher!

This is an excellent dishwasher. I did some research and Bosche 300 series kept popping up. I like how it has stainless steel tub. It’s super quiet! Delivery and installation was very good.

I really think it’s not fair to review a brand new dishwasher. I’d rather wait a few years but so far so good. I love the ease of how it loads & securely holds my dishes and glassware. Extremely quiet as advertised. I did put it on extra dry when I washed all my stemware.

After installing we had an error code, tried holding start button down, unplugging and everything else google said to do. Finally called Bosch and they walked me through the process of resetting machine. Works well and really quiet. Still trying to find out how to get the dishwasher to dry better.

This dishwasher is stellar. Every detail and feature that I have heard and read about for the past year or so is true. Extremely quiet. Tons of room and options for loading (and with a family of 6, that is a premium feature). Easy to operate. LOVE the 3rd rack and use it everyday. Love the option for the scoop handle which places the operating buttons inside the door. Dishes are VERY clean after every cycle (and I do not scrub them prior to loading). Drying option works great. And, the best part.....after watching this dishwasher for over a year and not wanting to spend the $800+ for it, it went down in price over $100 recently and I jumped on it!

We bought this about a year ago. It cleans dishes perfectly. Even corningwear pans with dried, baked on sauces come out perfectly clean. I can count on one hand the number of times I've had to redo a dish (which was usually due to user error). We use 7th Gen detergent. The third rack is great for serving spoons, lids, etc. It is quiet enough not to be a disturbance in our continuous kitchen/living room area. You can hear it, but it's minimal. Cons are the door feels flimsy and cheap, but this does not affect function. The buttons/settings are also flimsy, cheap feeling, and finicky. It can be confusing at first on whether it is on or not and on how to reset the settings. But I set it to "auto" 99% of the time so it's not a big deal once you're used to how the settings work. But the door and buttons make this feel not at all premium considering the price. It has remained perfectly clean and smell free with weekly cycles on normal/sanitize with Oh Yuk brand dishwasher cleaner. The filter is easy to remove and clean. The stainless steal is difficult to maintain, but that is what we get when we buy stainless with 3 kids under 5 in the house. We have had no mechanical problems. Overall highly recommend. Best buy protection plan is also recommended. We haven't needed it with this purchase, but I've always found them quick, responsive, and they will replace items without much fuss. Dealing with Lowes with our last dishwasher was a nightmare.

Our old dishwasher was getting wore out and I really wanted to upgrade to a better dishwasher. I did alot of research and had heard that this dishwasher was great for the price. It washes pretty decent and seems well made. It's much quieter than our older dishwashers. It doesn't dry well so you most definitely need to use something like Jet Dry but most dishwashers are that way. My biggest issue is the space. I feel like it holds fewer dishes than our old Whirlpool. The third rack is great for some of the utensils but makes it hard to manage the lower racks. You can't have anything too tall on the bottoms rack that may hit the spray arm so you move the 2nd rack up only to realize your cups are too tall and hit the top rack and vice versa. I don't feel I can get very many large pans on the bottom like I would like. Like others have mentioned, there is a strong rubber or oil smell that gets very strong when it heats up. I also wish that the last wash setting would come up when you turn it on just saving you from having to hit four buttons everytime you wash (atleast for me). Not that difficult but just something that my old washer had done. Although I feel that this dishwasher will be fine and work well, I wish I had just gotten an updated version of my less fancy dishwasher.

Very happy with this dishwasher. I checked Consumer Reports and read lots of reviews. This seemed to be a mid-range model that met my major requirements: quiet & cleans well. The more expensive ones are supposed to be even quieter, which seems pointless because most of the time you wouldn't know it's running if not for the light it shines on the floor to tell you. Now and then it makes a sound you can hear, but not loudly. I can be in the kitchen happily having a conversation while it's running. The next more expensive models also had a "delicate" mode which I felt no need for - there were really few differences. I chose the "scoop" handle because I didn't want it to stick out like the towel-rack style handle (though for some that is useful). The recessed handle would also avoid sticking out from the edge of the counter. The scoop handle also makes you open it from the center -- the installer told me that other models make it easy to grab/open near the sides and that can damage the door if you're not careful and skew it - the door does have a little bit of flex to it. We've run it a number of times now and it cleans well. I use the "regular" cycle (which appears to use fewer resources than "auto") with no extra features like extra dry or sanitize for extra hot. Your results may depend on the details of your usage, but the reviews were good and our results have been good as well. We only run it every few days, so counter to the manual which says don't bother to rinse, I do give dishes a quick rinse before they get dry and crusty. The CR test put them in fully dirty and then left them for a day to dry out and get really crusty before running it, and they said it still cleaned well. I haven't tried that but I'll take their word for it. I was wary of the drying, as a few reviewers complained about it, and it has no heater/drying element (it does heat the water very hot). Based on CR I went for it anyway. What I found is that if I open it immediately after it's done, it's still hot and steamy inside and some items are still wet, and I've just let a lot of the heat out. So I give it at least an hour after it's done before opening it to put things away. That's worked fine. I haven't tried "extra dry" but that might reduce the wait time - not important to me. I also haven't experimented with shorter times so I don't know the minimum. When I open it there's still some water on the sides of the tub, and if any bowls or glasses have concave bottoms then they'll hold some water, so you need to watch for that. I load our bowls at an angle so they cannot hold water in their concave bottoms - it runs off. The manual advises unloading the bottom rack first, which is good for avoiding any bits of water dripping down from the top to the dry & still-loaded lower rack. Bottom line, a little attention is needed here: don't unload immediately and unload from the bottom up. With that MO I've had no problem at all. A few other things of note: (1) it has no grinder and there's a filter you need to manually remove and rinse out once and a while, not often for me but maybe every couple of months if you put a ton of gunked up dishes in it. (2) It uses a "rinsing agent" to improve drying, which was new to me. They strongly advise against skipping this. I filled it with the sample provided, and I've already changed the setting to reduce the amount used with no negative effect. Because I'm a little mistrustful of chemicals & such I'm buying an eco rinsing agent for when it needs to be refilled, still on a minimum-use setting. (3) I was intrigued by the extra top rack -- a shallow rack for loading flatware. It works well and I've found it much easier to load and unload (and faster to unload) so I'm happy about that. After picking a model I liked I comparison shopped on-line, and Best Buy had it on sale plus both free delivery *and* free installation. I think January was a good month to buy this! I paid another $30 for an "install kit" and $20 to haul away my old dishwasher, all good. The installers were fine and overall it was a good experience with a good result. Summary: quiet, cleans well, but wait a bit before opening to let it finish drying

So happy to have purchased this dishwasher. It’s quiet, holds more dishes than our last (whirlpool) and the 3rd tray is a life saver for those little things you have needed to be washed. The silverware tray is huge and everything washes so well. I like how you can select half loads if you want to run it on a smaller load.

The dishes get clean, the machine is fairly quiet, and it's easy to load. As with all new dishwashers, there is a learning curve for loading, as you figure out what fits best where. It accidentally turns on sometimes when you close the door (you hear a beep), but it will self-cancel if you don't push start. The cycle is pretty long-- over 2 hours--but we have tried the 60-minute cycle for lightly soiled dishes and everything came out clean.

This is the most quiet dishwasher I've ever used. I barely hear it when it's running, and I live in a fairly small space. The third rack for utensils is really useful, and my dishes and glassware have come out spotless after every cleaning so far (I've had this dishwasher for about a month). Even the quick, 1-hr setting gets the job done. Aesthetically, it's a nice and unobtrusive addition to my kitchen.

After reading many reviews, decided on this model, very satisfied with this unit. SUPER quiet (located in an open kitchen/great room) can run while watching TV or entertaining, super quiet. Dishes are SO clean! Really like the sleek design and various racks/positioning it allows. The only negative might be for some is the drying system a bit wet but seriously not a big deal, I most often run on the speed cycle and add xtra dry.

This dishwasher replaced our old leaking relic. It is so quiet I had to place my ear next to it to ensure it was actually on and working. The red dot on the floor confirms the machine is on and running. The inventor of this machine put a lot of time and thought into functionality and needs of many people. I love the top shelf for utensils, spatulas, spoon holders, pizza wheels, etc. The attachment on the top basket hold stemware in place perfectly. Now I can run the dishwasher while watching tv and not have my husband irritated listening to a noisy machine. He had no idea it was on and running. The new Bosch has completely changed our lives leaving dishes very clean, being quiet, saving space with the above rack, and protecting delicate stemware.

Installed dishwasher with relative ease but am familiar with the process. First diswasher did not function properly. After troubleshooting with Bosch, Best Buy promptly ordered replacement and I appreciated the no hassle return policy but awaiting delivery of replacement and then swapping out the defective was a major hassle. Bosch is clearly the gold standard in dishwashers so the fact that a defective unit made it out of the factory was a surprise. In any case, we love this dishwasher! Very quiet, rack system is great, especially third rack. We pack it every night and dishes come out spotless. Noted a few comments about dishes not coming out dry enough and almost decided against this model but it's a non-issue. Best dishwasher we have owned so far.

I did extensive research into which brand of dishwasher to purchase. I spoke with employees at big box stores, read every internet review I could find, put out the word on Twitter, Facebook, and Reddit, and I even hounded every local repairman and repair shop I could contact to ask about dishwasher brands. Almost without fail Bosch was the clear winner. A couple people told me that most Bosch models use the same “guts” and that the price jumps are added bells and whistles (like multiple types of cycles, third racks, smart home/phone capabilities, etc. So basically your getting the same mind blowing performance at any model tier. I’ve thrown some grimy, baked-on, filthy dishes at this machine and it has yet to let me down. Be sure to use a rinsing agent - it makes a big difference. It’s astoundingly quiet, too. There’s a cool red light the shines a small dot on the ground below the dishwasher door to let you know it’s on (since you can’t really hear it) and there have been a couple times where I’ve had to actually put my ear against the door and strain to hear the dishwasher actually running because I didn’t believe the red light on the ground. Best Buy’s delivery procedure was flawless and fast. Be sure you’re buying the correct installation kit along with your dishwasher - the Best Buy rep who sold me this Bosch also sold me the wrong kit so the installer was only able to complete 85% of the install. My old man is an electrician so he was able to hardwire the dishwasher into my outlet, but having the correct accessories for the installer to install it correctly would have been better.

We are very pleased with this Bosch dishwasher. It cleans great, exhibits the typical high quality engineering that Bosch made it's name from, and looks great to boot! Very well thought out design, and it operates extremely quietly - most times you have a hard time hearing it run. Because of that, it has a small red spotlight that shines on the floor when it is running to assure you that, well, it IS running. This was a more expensive dishwasher, but the reviews attesting to its reliability and longevity convinced us it was worth the extra money. You get what you pay for - I'm as big a cheapskate as anyone, but if I know I'll get a decade + out of this machine, it will be worth it.

The higher Bosch model that we wanted wasn’t available so we got this mid range because it was in stock. It has been great. It’s very quiet that you can barely hear it running. I run it on the speed cycle which is 1 hour and 10 minutes and haven’t had any issues with dirty dishes. The regular cycle is 2 hours and 25 minutes which is just too long for a busy household of 7. I didn’t think the third rack was necessary but I love it for wooden spoons, large utensils, and even a cookie tray fits up there. I use 7th generation liquid detergent. There is condensation when the cycle is complete but the dishes are dry once the air hits them. You need to wait a couple minutes to unload because the dishes are hot. If you open the dishwasher after the cycle starts (to add that one more dish you just found) you have to push the start button again. I’ve gotten used to that just wanted to mention it. The red light indicator lets you know if it’s running.

We've had this dishwasher for about a month and have no complaints. Dishes always come out clean with only a quick rinse before putting them in the dishwasher. Operation is super quiet; the red indicator light is actually pretty helpful for determining whether or not a cycle is running. Draining is the only loud part and that doesn't last long. Glass, porcelain, metal, and some plastic dishes and flatware always come out dry. Tupperware never does, but that was our experience with our previous dishwasher so this isn't an issue for us. The third rack for utensils is very convenient; I didn't see myself using this much before the dishwasher arrived but I use it all the time now that I've gotten it. Having a quiet dishwasher has been wonderful as our kitchen is right next to the living room. I'd wholeheartedly recommend this product.

Pro's: It's super quiet and has a great configuration. Dishes come out clean and love the 3rd rack. Best Buy customer service and installation were awesome. Cons: It has an awful smell inside that started after the first wash. I dread opening the door due to the smell. It's there all of the time, even after it just finished cleaning everything.

Hi DarelleP, thank you for your review and we're sorry to hear you're having problem with your dishwasher. To get rid of any smell, please make sure to regularly clean the filter and you can dry a vinegar wash. Run an empty cycle, except for a cereal bowl on the upper rack, upright. Inside the bowl, you're going to put 8oz of white distilled vinegar and run the AUTO cycle. Once the cycle finishes, the smell should go away. If you have any questions regarding service, please contact our 24/7 customer service team at 800-944-2904. BoschAppliancesUSA
