I bought this from the Best Buy Outlet. It was delivered when promised but came without several pieces even though we were told it came with everything that would be needed. We also ordered the installation kit, but it was also missing needed pieces. We called Bosch, and they sent what we needed very quickly. They were easy to deal with and polite. When we viewed it in-store, there were no dents or scratches on it, but it was delivered with a scratch/dent on the front. The dent is located on the right side (see picture). The washer works great and was a much needed upgrade. The interior is versatile so it will fit any type of dish. There was also a surprise third rack that is an added bonus.

Quiet. Hard working. Reliable. My wife would marry this d/w if it were human. You need the full 34 inches floor to counter for easy install, not usually a problem. The third rack on top is very useful; less bending over, etc.

I am SO disappointed as I was tired of my old dishwasher not drying the dishes so after quite a bit of research and reading reviews, I purchased this BOSCH as it was highly rated. EXPENSIVE too! We were so excited to get it THEN we used it! The wash was fabulous but every single item in the dishwasher had to be dried by hand. The walls, door and bottom were covered in water. And YES we used JetDry. After trying a second time and still having to dry the dishes, we are returning it! According to BOSCH headquarters, you have to OPEN the dishwasher as soon as it is done to keep moisture from landing on the dishes. What we saw was more than just moisture. It looked like someone sprayed a hose inside. Best Buy Geek Squad came out and found no noticeable issue to cause such water inside. Bye Bye BOSCH

The salesman told me these don’t come with heating coils and I was unsure on the drying. However he swore it was a great washer. After running the dishwasher it cleans and dries dishes well. Very happy with the purchase.

This device is trash. I purchased it because I felt a better brand would be a better product. The machine simply cannot wash dishes thoroughly. I have tried different detergents, pre-cleaned and even put in almost fully washed dishes to see if it would make a difference. The machine simply cannot wash dishes. Please see the photos attached after washing for a 2 hour cycle. Please save your money. I have more photos but I can only upload 2.

Replaced Costco branded dishwasher with this Bosch 800 series. Installed it myself. Good points: it is so quiet. You can hardly tell it is working. Dishes seem to come out brighter than before. Three racks, with top rack for silver ware and smaller plastic containers. Our model has the top rack with the ability to drop down the sides to fit small bowls as well. Middle rack is adjustable for height. Lower rack rolls out easily. Lots of extra room.
The drawbacks: the cleaning cycle normally runs over two hours, more if you want extra drying time. Our model has controls on the outside with button controls under the panel which sometimes take an extra press to use. This uses convection drying, with no heating element so many times your plastic items will still have water on them. And if you start the cycle then leave for a few days the water can return to all items. The racks are spacious but the alignment of the tines especially on the lower rack make it harder to fit larger pots and pans. Sometimes they have to rest ON the tines to fit.
All in all I am happy with this purchase it is a quality product it was a lot of money but it cleans better than our old model dishwasher and again is amazingly quiet.

This Bosch replaced our 21 year old noisy dishwasher. It is so quiet. I do mean quiet! “Is it on?” we wondered the first time we turned it on. It is quieter than a whisper. The only time there is any noticeable noise is when the dirty water drains out. I simply put the sink strainer in the sink drain to close it up as if I was going to fill the kitchen sink with water. With the strainer in place we have to listen carefully to know if the dishwasher is on. It has a short 60 minute cycle, handy when dishes aren’t very dirty. The longer “auto” cycle, the default cycle, requires well over two hours. I was surprised by this length of time but since I cannot hear it there is not a problem. There are other cycles but these two along with a rinse cycle is all we will probably use. I had read reviews about how wet the dishes are at the end of the cycle. Yes, they are wet. There is no electric heating element in the bottom which was a little different from other machines I have had before. Not a problem since we seldom used the drying cycle in our old machine anyway. We open the door, pull out the racks, and let the hot dishes air dry to save electricity. This is what we do with this Bosch, since the dishes are hot they dry quickly. If any water accumulates in the depressions on the bottoms of cups and glasses a quick dab with a dishtowel remedies that. Plus I don’t have to worry about melting anything that is in the bottom rack. I especially like the third rack at the top. It is great for those little lids, sharp knives, spatulas, and shallow bowls that would usually fall through the racks. A pizza pan would probably fit easily since it is flat. The third rack has special grooves that silverware can be arranged in but I prefer to use the silverware basket. I chose this model with the recessed handle because I didn’t want the controls on the top edge where they would be hidden from view as it operated and where they may be subjected to spills. I wanted to see the dishwasher’s progress and the recessed handle allows for that. It doesn’t tell you each cycle but it does tell you how many minutes are left until it is finished. I also chose not to have the model with the towel bar handle because if a towel is hanging from it the towel would lay on the floor when the door was opened, and again. the controls wouldn’t be where I wanted them. The silverware basket is much larger than my previous machine and removable if more space is needed for pots and pans. There are extra tines in the racks that can be raised or lowered as needed to accommodate nearly any shaped dish or pan. I chose the white exterior finish. I considered the stainless steel exterior but wondered if water dribbles would show. The detergent cup easily holds a Finish tablet, my favorite brand. I am very pleased with this quiet dishwasher.

I researched this to death and also checked out the models I was interested in at the store. I loved the third shelf and this particular Bosch model had the "info" on the outside of the dishwasher instead of at the top of the door, which we both liked better. The drying is good, especially if you use sanitize, and I like that there's no burner to break or melt something. Also, the only other comment that concerned me was that a small number of people complained about "the smell." Most people did not and I couldn't figure out what was going on. After some research and talking to the salesman, it appears that if there is an odor it is because it was installed incorrectly, without the "high loop" that is required. You should probably make sure you understand what needs to be done so you can be sure the installer does it! The installer also didn't properly install the rubber flap that goes behind the bottom plate. He volunteered to cut it off but we told him not to!!! Good thing as it was supposed to be installed behind that plate. Nice guy but not sure how competent he was. The dishwasher itself is absolutely great. We took the silverware basket out because everything fits the third shelf. It holds virtually anything and can be arranged in numerous ways. It takes a few times to figure out what works best. There are also videos on u tube, believe it or not. They help.

I am very pleased with the quality of cleaning. However, it was quite a shock that the dishes do not dry. My prior dishwasher had special accommodation for wine glasses. This one does not. And, while the upper rack is handy sometimes for odd shaped tools, it means losing the height in the rack below it. What I do love is that it is quiet! We hardly notice it is running. It is a l-o-n-g cycle - - takes about 2 1/2 hours to wash a load. I would recommend it - - but would point out its shortcomings....

People who complain about the dishes not being dry or the dishwasher not having powered drying (electric heating element found on "American" models) or fan powered drying didn't do their research. European/Asian brands rely on the heat of the water plus time. If you expect the dishes to be dry immediately upon cycle finish, you will be disappointed. That's not how the appliance is designed. Dishes are dry within a few hours of cycle finish but any plastic containers will remain wet/damp. This is my 2nd Bosch dw and I found this info in discussion forums before we made the 1st purchase
.
3rd rack is great. My one criticism is how Bosch changed the utensil basket to be 1 long unit rather than a basket that can be separated into 2 units (owners manual still describes the splittable basket). There are no tines that are collapsed in the basket area so if you use the 3rd drawer for utensils, you have a wasted area where the basket is.
We like front controls for ease of use and being able to see progress. Child lock feature is nice for when the grandkids are around. Does a great job cleaning whatever we put in.

We've owned a Bosch years ago and were not too impressed with it's performance and did not like the rack layout. By spending a little more
on this one we can see the quality difference - it cleans amazingly well and cannot be heard from more than a few feet away. Even dried, burnt on scalloped potato around the rim of a casserole dish came out crystal clean!

Our new Bosch cleans our dishes very well, which is the most important thing, so we are happy with it. It also is very quiet. We have not used many of the optional settings. For loading, we like the third rack; although we do not use it for tableware it is very handy for larger utensils, ramekins, etc.. One problem with loading is on the second rack: the fold-down stem holders are flimsy and get in the way of using the outer-most row. Only very short things will fit there, so we've folded down the row of tines next to it and combined the two rows. This makes the options for drinking glasses/mugs limited. We will probably take one of the stem-holders out. We did take a set of dishes with us to try loading the various options in the store, and that was very helpful in making our decision.

We just replaced a GE Profile dishwasher with the Bosch 800. Love it. We had a Bosch in our previous home and love it also. Great features, can choose settings easily and I love that the display is on the front so you can see how much time the cycle takes. The on/off feature was missing on our GE, and I think it is an important one - keep it off until you want to wash the dishes! Our GE would go on if someone closed the door, and you could not pause it - or restart a cycle. With the Bosch, all features are easy to use, and they do a great job cleaning. I especially like the top tray for small items and knives, no more stabbing myself when getting the steak knives out! Highly recommend this machine.

I love this dishwasher, If you have your kitchen near a living area, or is an "open concept" type of layout, this is a perfect machine. It is unbelievably quiet, holds a ton of stuff, and does a great job getting things clean.

This dishwasher is amazingly quiet and cleans everything to boot. After some minor adjustment to my admittedly type A stacking protocol I have figured out how to best load this machine. While it does not have the heat assist drying as my old one did, it drys very well including the majority of the plastic stuff. The fact that i can put the plastic stuff in this machine makes up for any minor dampness with those items. Hand washing those took longer to dry. Dishes, glasses, silverware, etc are perfectly dry.

Very good & extremely quiet dishwasher. Good value for the price. Adjustable shelves are helpful to filling it up. Cleans dishes well; however due to BOSCH [and many other European models] designed without a "heating element" in the bottom of the unit there is residual water on the walls of the dishwasher after the cycle completes. To avoid wiping the walls each time, everyone suggests immediately cracking the door open to let out the moisture. It works but sometimes we forget. You want to avoid forgetting to crack the door because otherwise it can cause a smell over time. On the plus side, the unit uses 1/10th the amount of electricity to run because there is no 'heating element'.

This dishwasher is so quiet you can't tell that it is running. It cleans very well also. But, it doesn't dry well at all. When the drying cycle is complete the dishes are still wet, not damp, wet. The lights on the led screen stay on even after all the cycles are done. They have to be turned off manually. Inspite of these cons I am happy with it.

Dishwasher is very quiet and does a very good job of cleaning the dishes; both of which were top on my list of important features. Where it has issues is in drying, but I knew that when I bought it. It does not have a traditional heated dryer, so it is necessary to open the door a little when it is done with the entire cleaning in order to assist with the drying. If you do that, then almost everything comes out bone dry. If you do the dishes and then go to bed, you will wake up to a dishwasher full of somewhat wet dishes. The remedy for that is to use the timer. It is very nice to have three racks and they are adjustable in many ways. It will take awhile to figure out the best way to use them. Since there is no heated dryer element, you can place plastic items anywhere in the dishwasher and not worry about them melting. Overall, I would buy this again.
