Customers commend the Home Speaker 300 for its exceptional sound quality, ease of use, and impressive bass response. Many also appreciate its convenient size and the seamless integration with both Alexa and Google Assistant. While some users wish for a battery, the positive feedback on sound and functionality outweighs this concern. The speaker's straightforward setup and attractive design are also frequently praised.

it sounds good, but it being smart is debatable. the initial setup via the app was easy, but shortly thereafter google assistant couldn't find the device and i got no help online to fix it. i switched to alexa but "she" won't play pandora even tho' i set it as the default. again i got no help online to fix it.

---HIGHLIGHTS---
Superb Sound Quality, Strong Bass, Multiple Music Services, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, Full Featured App, Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa
---SOUND QUALITY---
I am going to cover sound quality first because to put it simply this speaker rocks!!!
Normally there are limits to the amount of bass and mid-bass that can be produced by a speaker of this size, but Bose engineering has overcome that limitation, which is something that that I did not think possible. This speaker belts out tight and detailed bass that is comparable to a much larger speaker. The bass response really makes a difference by making the music sound very dynamic.
Not only is the sound very detailed and full range, but the sound stage is also very wide and non-directional. There is only one speaker, but it fills the entire room with sound that seems to be coming from everywhere at once.
---SETUP---
The first step is to download the Bose Music App and create an account, if you don’t already have one. Then plug the speaker in and wait for it to come on line. The App will then prompt you to connect and go through a pairing process that includes setting up Wi-Fi, Goggle Assistant or Amazon Alexa, and selecting the music providers you are going to use.
It is possible to use this speaker solely with Bluetooth without using the App or connecting Wi-Fi, but that will strip the speaker of the smart functions.
---DESIGN AND USE---
I was immediately impressed by the packaging. Bose put quite a bit off effort into the presentation and it shows.
Likewise, the visual appeal of the speaker itself does not disappoint. It feels very solid and well-made and looks fabulous in my bedroom.
The small footprint makes it easy to move around the house but be aware that it must be plugged in wherever it is placed.
The speaker itself can be controlled by the Bose Music App or the touch buttons on the top of the speaker. The touch buttons are responsive and work well once you get used to them because some of them are multi-function. The Bose App is very intuitive and allows a comprehensive level of control and customization.
This speaker offers a few different ways to connect wirelessly: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Apple Airplay 2. It is not necessary to use the App to use Bluetooth, but to use Wi-Fi or AirPlay the App must be connected to the speaker. Using the music providers in the App will allow the sound to be streamed over Wi-Fi which will provide greater range than Bluetooth, and potentially sound better because of the stronger signal. Apple AirPlay natively uses Wi-Fi and works through the Apple Music App if the speaker is connected to Wi-Fi.
Within the App is a wide array of music and entertainment providers that can be used. Most of the prominent services are available but also numerous radio, talk, and news channels.
This speaker is compatible with Google Assistant or Apple Alexa (but not both).
There is an Aux input that accepts a 3.5 mm audio cable for wired compatibility.
---BOTTOM LINE---
This speaker sounds superb and if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Yes, it is expensive but if you want the best sound in its size class then it is certainly worth the price. Once you hear it for the first time you will really notice the difference and find it hard to listen to anything else. It sounds that good!

The right sound at a great price. This little speaker sounds great in my work space. Gets really loud, and it's easy to set up and use. Voice control is unmatched, much easier than my Google home that listens to me when it wants to. Love. Love. Love it!!

Love this speaker - I bought to use with my peloton bike because the peloton speakers are pretty poor. The Bose speaker connects easily and makes the riding experience so much better!

The Bose speaker is good, and it took me a while to get connected to Amazon, but it sounds great, and is definitely loud. I wish it could be battery powered or plugged in, but unfortunately, it's not. Other than the Amazon Alexa issue, it was great.

Great sound just wouldn't pair to my TV. Quality product and nice design. Fills the room with rich sound and it has deep bass. Hard to believe all that can come out such a small object. I would recommend this product.

This Bose 300 has an unbelievable bass sound. Works with Alexa which turns the unit on and off. A flashing white light let's you know you have a delivery from Amazon. You can download different music stations or new from the bose app on your phone. The only negative review is the instructions are very poor with bose. You have to download a PDF file to read the instructions. Other then that I highly recommend this product. Bose does keep the name and quality.

Can’t go wrong with Bose

This speaker is remarkable and met every quality of sound/deep bass expectation that I had. I’m deducting one star for two reasons though; 1. It must be plugged in to operate - therefore it’s not truly wireless. 2. It only pairs with limited Bose Speakers - versus all -or at least my Bose 300 Sound-bar System (i.e. I haven’t been successful in doing so after repeated attempts). Otherwise, I’d give the speaker 5+ Stars if it had that capability.

First off, it's a Bose, so it definitely has great sound.
To get the best functionality, it helps to have a streaming satellite radio. I was also a little disappointed that it can't stream Google Play Music. It streams youtube music just fine. It works well as a Google Assistant, controls my chromecast in my office, plays videos, music etc. The app feels a little hard to navigate, setup was easy. But, it's a speaker, essentially, and that part is does very well.

Bose 300 vs Apple’s new Pod

Both equal in mid range, both lack high end, Bose was better with base over Apple. Both priced the same. I like base and went with Bose. All other feathers wireless and product options are about the same. Don’t expect the same level of sound as you would have from a wired traditional speaker. This is about the simplicity of wireless connection, sit It on the table, move it for the sweet spot and your done in one hour or less.

If you like Bose like I do, this speaker is very good for its smaller footprint. I own several of the bigger speakers, monitors and the latest Soundbar. This size is small enough to sit on a shelf in my bathroom, but provide great sound when the shower is running, etc. The Bose app allows me to connect any combination of my Bose speakers, or connect individually to this speaker via bluetooth.

Bose Home Speaker 300 Wireless Smart Speaker with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant Voice Control is the best. It is small
and well designed to blend in to the surroundings. That is the
only thing small about it. The sound is clear, rich and powerful.
I am delighted with all the infinite options Amazon Alexa
provides me at a very modest cost.

This has to be one of the best speakers out there! My mom bought one and as soon as I heard her songs playing I went and bought one as well! The sound quality is amazing! The size is so convenient because you can store it and take it anywhere! I love the Bose app. You can set your stations and playlist with any interruption from your phone! It’s great, 5 stars, highly recommended!

I had purchased this BOSE stereo for the simple fact that I wanted something portable for whenever I go to the basement to workout and I want to listen to my music with a quality system. I have to say that the money I had spent was well worth it. The sound quality is truly remarkable and the appearance of the system is very good. I highly recommend this product.

This product offers excellent sound quality in a very compact design. The initial setup can be a bit tricky when it's updating the software on the device. Whatever you do, don't unplug it during the update cycle, I had to connect directly to the device IP address and manually upload a software package from the Bose website.
