    Works For This Chronic Insomniac

Having suffered from insomnia for my entire life, I have tried so many different products to help with sleep, including prescription drugs. Not wanting to continue that route I decided to splurge and try this product. So far it has been magnificent. I am the type of person whose brain does not shut off when trying to go to sleep. This product has the ability to calm my mind and let me relax enough to get to sleep and stay asleep. I have chosen my favorite sounds and slept very well to at least 4 of them. I have experienced the connectivity problems that others have complained about but not to the same degree (one star taken away for connectivity). So far this has been the answer to many years of frustration for me. I doubt it will work for everyone but I think it's certainly worth a shot.

While these are expensive, it turns out they are worth every penny. Easy set up and clear instructions had them ready to go within a few minutes. There is a variety of sounds from white noise to bird songs (my favorite) You can set the volume level via the app on your phone and the built in alarm can be customized so it becomes a set and forget. Best of all, my soon to be husband has tried multiple gadgets to reduce his snoring and nothing has worked. These are extremely comfortable and I have gotten a full nights sleep ever since I got them. I can't recommend them enough!!

The buds are awesome. Stay in all night and drown out all background noise. I'm a side sleeper and have no problems with them being uncomfortable when on my side. Alarm is pretty awesome too.

These were an overpriced airplay and would have been nice if they lasted. 250 dollars for a defective product with no support from Bose is disappointing. Save yourself money and don't waste your time with Bose sleep product. JUNK! The battery on both of my earbuds swelled and burst. This is not only unsafe but a shame for such a high priced item.

I'll be honest, it was great while it lasted but the product is plagued with battery recharging issues. That aside, they indeed are comfortable and the ideal solution for sleeping while privately listening to white noise. It's unfortunate the product is plagued with engineering issues such as poor battery life (meaning life before the product dies) inconsistent charging and software issues.

I had been using plain silicon ear plugs and had found them to do a fantastic job helping me to sleep better. My wife had said that I sleep so lightly, that I could hear a gnat breathe if it was three states away. So when I saw the Bose Sleepbuds, I jumped at the chance to see if I could sleep even better. Not only did I find that they helped sleep more soundly that when I used silicon ear plugs, but they even let me sleep soundly on an airplane. They fit very comfortably and I can even sleep on my side. They have the most secure design that I have encountered in my quest for the ideal device to permit me to sleep soundly in a noisy environment. They are easy to use, easy to charge, and highly effective. You do need to check that the Sleepbuds are well seated into the charging case, but a slight push to the side on a Sleepbud gets the charging light to come right on.Firmware updates are pushed to the Sleepbuds automatically, which does take a minute or two and might be considered an annoyance when you want to get to sleep. I would rather look at that as Bose showing that they care about making sure that they maintain a top quality product and are making the investment to continue to improve it. The Sleepbuds are a bit pricey, but the value to me in getting a better night sleep easily outweighed the purchase price. All in all, an excellent design. Bravo, Bose. Having had these Sleepbuds for a month, I am curious how the batteries will behave after a year or more of daily use. I still have about 11 months of sound sleep to enjoy before I get to that point.

Does a great job at being comfortable enough to sleep in and mask snoring or other disturbing sounds, without being a loud sound of its own. Needs to add the ability to stream other audio from your phone to be a great product. There is no reason it can't other than Bose locking it down to their app. At this price point, you should be able to listen to other items in addition to the sleep sounds.

Work well to drown out external noises.

First off, nice product idea, an earbud that sits in the ear and stays flush, and doesn't play external phone noises, just their own pre-programmed sounds and their own gentle alarms for waking. They sit in the ear well and are easy to remove once finished with them and have many different choices for noise masking and relaxing sounds. They DO mask the noise coming from my husband's CPAP (imagine a chainsaw if the CPAP leaks). I have the buds turned down enough that I can hear high pitched sounds like fire alarms, or issues around me, but drowns out the noisy person next to me. The manufacturer does caution you on the product and keeping the masking sounds to a level you can hear beyond it for safety and hearing protection. Downside: if you are side sleeper, the buds CAN be uncomfortable or fall out. (I have to create a "divit" in my pillow for my ear to prevent this.) Also, if you want to have multiple sounds, the buds have a limited space to download to AND it takes HOURS to download since it needs to be done during the wearing time. Charging: the buds charge in their case (like Airpods). You charge the case and the buds charge from that. Eventually you need to charge the case again (about 4 wearings in my case). It can be frustrating to find the "sweet spot" for docking them in the case, despite the magnetic attraction - but the case does tell you when you have it correct. Overall, it is a good product and I am happy with my purchase. I do hope that one day they perfect this technology and continue to add sounds etc (like sleep stories, or sounds on more than a 30 second loop).

It’s overpriced for what it does- there I got that out of the way. The product itself is not bad. I like that I don’t have to wake up the whole household when my alarm goes off. You only hear it in your ears. The selection of sleep noises is adequate. You can only download so much. If you want to add more, you have to delete some of your old ones. It’s sleep noise, not a music library. The app is optimized for viewing in the dark so it’s easy on the eyes. The thing that I find hard to justify the price of this sleepbuds is the charging. You have to position the buds perfectly in the case. Many times had I put them in, thinking they’re positioned well, but nope they weren’t. I end up with a right bud charge of 100% and a left of 14%. But both indicator lights were blinking when I put them in! If charged right, they last 16 hours tops but who under normal circumstances sleeps for 16 hours straight? If one bud didn’t fully charge but the other one did, you should be ok. It’s just annoying though. I’d buy this again but not for full price.

I purchased this thinking it would solve the issue of snoring too loud for my wife and it did that. She gets 7-9 hrs of sleep uninterrupted because of the noise that it provides. It has great battery life, incredibly comfortable design that you can be a side sleeper on your pillow and it won't hurt and the rotation of sounds with added sounds when they release more show good features. The glaring problem for bose with these is the small clips to charge the headphones themselves. I am so glad i got the protection plan cause I've gotten ones that only charge one headphone or do not charge them at all and now they are useless! i love bose products and ill keep them as long as they work but the price to me means that if they're confident about charging that much then they really can't have issues where the headphones can't charge. i would say these are great when they work and you would get good use from them but the issues being price and the inability to use them when the dock charging cradle can't charge the headphones.

These sleep buds are as advertised. They are small in size and comfortable in my ears when my pillow is against my ear. The one thing I wished it had, was the ability to create my own download sounds.Example I like to hear crickets to put me to sleep. And I would like to combined it with water sounds. Hopefully the app will let you make changes one day. Currently there are other options than the preloaded sounds which is a plus.

Comfortable enough to sleep on my side without hurting my ears. Used when traveling, Keeps outside noise from waking me. Alarm that wakes you is a bit loud and unpleasant compared to the nice constant white noise, so hoping they will have an update on the app for a new option. Overall I’m happy with the purchase and should sleep better on trips.

It works as advertised. I sleep more soundly now. I also was a person who needed 20 alarms to wake up in the morning. This disturbed everyone else’s sleep. This alarm is one only I hear and it has woken me up on the first time every time. The only negative is the build. It does not charge reliably because the connectors are the charging case are bad. I’m going to exchange it and see if maybe just this unit was defective.

Great for blocking snoring sounds or for distracting a busy mind that won't shut down. Also great without using the app for sounds. Comfortable fit in ears (comes with 3 sizes). App is nice, lets you set a timer for length of sounds, then shuts off.

I bought this product for a two month trip to Costa Rica where I’ll be sleeping in hostels and expect to have other people snore at night. I hate people who snore. I have been getting used to it for the past three weeks. Normally I have difficulty with falling asleep and staying asleep. I also dislike having anything touching my ears. This device, the smallest size, fits into my ears and are 80% comfortable. They do block out environmental sounds in my bedroom at home but the test comes on my trip. They do not help me fall asleep and only mildly help me stay asleep. It does take awhile getting used to the blocking sounds as I formally needed absolute quiet to fall asleep. I used the babbling water sound as the block. On a couple of the other sounds that I have tried you can tell it is on a loop, there are sounds in them that don’t belong. The price for them is outrageously high. My trip starts tomorrow so I’m hoping that they justify my purchase.

I purchased these as aChristmas present. My wife loved them at first. The fit was good and the sound was even better. She would charge them after each use. After about two months the left ear stopped charging. I returned them to Best Buy for a new pair. The new pair worked great for about two months and the same problem reoccurred. I called Bose. Customer service was great. They informed me that this was a known defect on the original sleep buds. They sent me a new pair. Once again after two months, the same problem occurred. The left ear bud would not charge. Called customer service once again. They sent me a new pair. So they are great when they work, but they seem to work for only two months. Not what you'd expect from Bose.

I use these when I travel and I was pleasantly surprised at how well they drowned out New York street noise. I found them fairly comfortable. I am a back sleeper so I’m not sure how they would feel for a side sleeper. I wish there were more sound options. I sleep with a fan at home and while there is a noise that sounds similar it’s not as good as other fan sounds I’ve heard.

I purchased these to eliminate some of the noises when I sleep. These take care of nearly all of the noise. Only the loudest noises still get through. One complaint though, sometimes they get out of sync with my device, and I have to re-pair them. A little annoying, but for the job they do, I can look past it.

I bought these for my wife and she seems to like them. She can't sleep without them. Basically what it really is, is an earbud that connects to its own app which produces sleep inducing noises and somewhat blocks outside noise. I've tried these myself and, while they do block some noise, they're NOT noise cancelling. Also, you cannot use these earbuds with other apps. They just work with the Bose one. Buy these only for sleeping. While that's limiting, I can say they are very comfortable to wear and after a while you forget they're there. Also, you set up your own alarm within the Bose app to wake up and not have it sound to wake up your spouse. I think they're cool, and my wife (who uses them everyday) loves them. I recommend as long as you understand their limitations.
