I purchased and tested 4 units. The other that compared to this was the EU Boom...in the showroom at Best Buy it promised the best bass the loudest undistorted sound.... Once home and compared to the Bose the Bose simply outperformed the EU... Bass reflex openings and overall midrange, vocals and highs performed as if it was made by people serious about quality. The box is rugged...the handle comfortable and best of all...this box offers input channels for a microphone or instrument... The channels offer sound tuning bass and treble...the unit charges and lasts an entire day... Outside at an open pool area the S1 filed the space incredibly... While it sells for 2 times the EU...it is worth every dime... I listen to a lot of R&B lots of bass and vocals... loud volume and I could not be happier... Bear

Rule #1, you can’t beat Bose quality....period. This Bose S1 continues that legacy in what’s purported to be the company’s smallest PA system to date. Coming in at just under 16lbs, this compact system is the best choice if you’re on the Go or just don’t have the budget/capacity to purchase and haul around large speakers. Uniquely, it can operate standing as well as on its side, and the emblem turns to match the position. While it is small and portable, there are some limitations. The device does well with full figured instruments such as keyboards, guitar, etc., but DO NOT get carried away with your volume or try to compete in loudness with the man next to you, this device isn’t made for that. Small rooms and gatherings, solo events, board room meetings, are the ideal target for the S1. The speaker is not baddy, but it does sound bright in tone. When cranked up, it will distort slightly and become flat. The S1 is better enjoyed at moderate to low volume, which is where it really shines. Tone match is good, but I feel it definitely holds the device back in certain small situations. This speaker is a bit pricey compared to the JBL EON ONE COMPACT, but not by much. It also lacks a few small features when compared to the JBL, like the mixing mode with effects, phantom power, and an additional input. If wanting to keep things small in events/gigs that are less than the same, this is a good choice. The S1 has its place and big events or large crowds/gatherings is not its strong suit and there are other powered speakers in this price range that can satisfy that need. In closing, for portability and that Bose signature sound at normal volume, this is the way to go!

The Bose S1 Pro PA system is a high quality audio speaker at a very affordable price. A great value from a leader in audio technology, the clarity and crisp sound is a delightful experience. It's lightweight, easy to transport and the battery life is exceptional. I highly recommend this speaker. I use it for listening to music and videos and I'm planning to use it as a PA system for public events in the future. The ability to mount it on a stand is a great benefit.

Although this is listed as a PA speaker, we use it for outdoor parties and pair it to our phones with Bluetooth. We have used two other “boom box” speakers in the backyard as well as comparisons. The others have noticeably better bass, but their mid to high volumes are terrible compared to this Bose S1. If you’re looking for a loud speaker for indoor or outdoor parties with exceptional quality at all volumes, this is the speaker for you. We are impressed with the Bose for our pool parties. This speaker is so much better than buying dedicated outdoor setups since it can be moved around wherever you need it to be and it has a long lasting battery backup. Highly recommended.

I am not a DJ, an artist, or any other type of professional. I bought this mostly for playing in the back yard or for family get togethers, and I even use it in my home when I'm just chilling. That being said, I feel the Bose S1 Pro has great clarity, gets rather loud, and the battery lasts quite a long time. I really wish there was a bass/treble adjustment on the bluetooth/aux input. I would like to be able give this some extra kick when playing rock or metal that doesn't have quite as much bass as pop/hip hop/rap. Also, I would love to see Bose come out with a battery powered Sub for this. The S1 has a 1/4" auxiliary output, so you could technically connect a filtered powered sub to it (I've tested this), but it would be amazing to have a battery powered sub to compliment this battery powered speaker for outdoor use. My only other gripe is that the Bose Connect app doesn't seem to stay connected, even though the speaker is still streaming music over bluetooth. For me, this is not really a big deal, or a dealbreaker bu any means, just annoying. Sometimes it takes a little effort to get the app reconnected, occasionally requiring you to force close the app. I do appreciate that it shows you the battery life percentage, so you know if you need to plug it in soon, or if you need to charge it before going outside with it.

I have the Boses Acoustimass 16 Series 11 Home Entertainment Speakers System in my basement and I love themand was enjoying them for years. Since I bought the Bose S1 Pro one month ago its the best decision and purchase I have ever made. Im playing it day and night its a 150 watts of pure power and clarity. This is the best part its portable and I am playing all my music from my phone and samsung tablet. Im going to purchase a second so I can have a pair.

I Absolutely Love this Bose Speaker!! It was worth the $$$. I hope 2 be able to use it with my Outside Projector and Big screen for Movies outside this summer. I own two other Bose products, one in a smaller speaker, other is there radio/cd player.. I really cant say enough how Great they are. But this Speaker Sounds AWESOME!! I take in my Barn to Jam and OMG. Not to Mention in the House.. If I could afford another one of these I would get it in a minute.

By far the best portable speaker around, clean perfect sound for any occasion. No AC no problem included battery can last up to 6 hours. Bluetooth easy to sync with iPhone.

I purchased 2 to use with a pair in stereo mode. To use the stereo mode you have to use the bose mobile app. No way to use a laptop to play to both speakers in stereo. Bose is putting out updates maybe they will fix that. the mobile app is a little clunky would like to see eq options like other bt speakers. I tested this against other name brand model and found the bose stereo sound quality to be better. I wish they made a bt sub to pair with it. You can use wired sub but have not tried it yet. Battery life is about 3-5 hours. I found the power switch and charge mode difficult to remember what setting does what. Works great with Spotify. I like to use mine to play guitar and sing along with youtube videos playing from ipad. Makes great little karaoke set up.

Love this thing. I use it as a top speaker in my smaller room set up Dj’ing.. Being rechargeable battery powered, has now made it my go to in home daily use Bluetooth speaker

Amazing sound! Bought this for our new Audio-Technica turntable, and it really brings out the sound of the records. Love that it’s Bluetooth also, so we can play our phones through it too.

Hands down one of the best speaker. It's small but sounds loud and clear. Sound quality is great! The price is good for this product. This is my second speaker. I have two.

I 100% would recommend this speaker to anyone the sound is crystal clear the only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because you can't lower the bass I really wish you could because once you get to a certain level the volume light turns red because its to much bass so you have to lower the volume. The microphone sounds so good. I love that it's a portable speaker plays for 10 hours before needing charge.
