Completed my Bose 500 Soundbar and sub system. It is a must if you don’t already have. Sounds like a home theater should.

I was pondering about these for at least 2 years before making the purchase.
Why ponder so long? Well couple of reasons - mixed reviews from folks where some were of the opinion that there is no sound and others saying that it is just awesome; and couple that with the price tag, then you can begin to ponder!
So, ok, bought it and have been using them for a good 6 months now after pairing them with my Bose SoundTouch 300, and we have been having an amazing time!
We have actually managed to watch a lot of sci-fi movies again, just to realize what we have bought and how good sound can be. These speakers added that extra dimension to the sound of a TV and have brought out the best.
There are serious moments when you feel that - "Hey where did that sound come from, or hey is there someone in the back!"
I'd say, when you get those kind of feelings or questions, then yes, you have got what you asked for!
These speakers are small, easily blend with the stuff you might have in your shelves and get tuned to the room environment using the Bose tech of ADAPTiQ audio calibration. They fill the room with excellent sound and can be tuned even further with the Bose SoundTouch App using your mobile / mac / pc.
Worth every penny if you want the surround sound experience at home!

Bose surround speakers took my entertainment experience to a next level. You feel all the background in crip clear sound.
It’s a great addition to Bose 500 sound bar and bass module! Love to recommend!

Small speakers big sound. Combined with the Bose Soundbar and Bose sub box the house shakes at times when a movie on. Truly theater like sound.

The description states "These small speakers are designed to blend into your room.". While the speakers do blend in, the power supply is a different story because it is bigger than the speaker and doesn't blend in. I have a plan to hide it all and mount the speakers properly but wanted to share so others would be aware the description doesn't match up to the experience.
Otherwise, setup was a breeze and they sound good. :)

Debated over the new rear speakers online but ultimately bot these in store. Couldn't be happier with sound clarity! Didnt get the opportunity to hear newer model but after having these. They were all I needed. I added these to a Bose 500 Soundbar and a Bose 700 bass module. Now I have complete 5.1 surround sound. F.Y.I inorder to hear the potential of rear speakers, you need to be playing a 5.1 audio. Yes it's great for tv and music, but excels in true Dolby sound.

These are surprisingly way quieter than I was expecting, even when maxed in the app. So quiet that I am not sure it was worth the price these things are.
Now the soundbar and sub are phenomenal!
I am sorry to hear that you are not fully satisfied of your Surround Speakers. If it's not already done, I would suggest configuring the ADAPTiQ with your soundbar, bass module and surround speakers, in order to optimize the sound of your whole system with your room. You can find instructions in the Bose app or contact our support team directly: https://global.bose.com/en_us/index.html

So I was planning a new tv and audio system for my family room. Had gone with Bose newest sound bar and rear speakers. Initially thought I would add the subwoofer later. So glad I didn’t. This bad boy can raise goosebumps when watching the perfect movie. And the Bose app on my tablet is a perfect way to control the sound. Highly recommend.

After reading the other reviews I was not going to buy this item. They stated the speaker volume was very low. The reason the volume is low is because most users just connect the speakers. You have to make sure your Soundtouch 300 is updated. Then once you have paired the speakers and updated your 300. Make sure that you run an audio calibration test. This will increase your volume on these speakers. Another option available within the Soundtouch app on my iPhone you are able to increase to sound coming from the center and these speakers. I found this because when I first got the speakers I just paired them to the 300 and just started using them without doing a calibration. Without the calibration the sound was very low I could not even hear sound coming from the speakers. After I ran the audio calibration these speakers provide the 5.1 sound also they are loud. I recommend you get the Soundtouch 300, Bass Module and these speakers to complete your set up.

I've owned the 901 series and older bose bookshelves with subwoofer so I'd have to say these are great beginner speakers and great for the price! They sound great with the soundbar 700 series! Honestly no need for subwoofer with the set unless putting in your living room which I have a much bigger setup and more powerful to go with the Oled tv and 4k player!
