These are the best speakers I’ve ever owned. I purchased these as an upgrade from the Bowers and Wilkins 603’s ( best decision ever ) . I was blown away by the deep base and clear highs associated with 702’s . It’s like I’m in the room with the band . If I close my eyes I can actually see where every band member is standing while playing their instruments. With my older albums I hear things I’ve never heard before on albums I grew up listening to in the 70’s and 80’s .

Amazing speakers. The S2s are now selling for deep discounts now that the S3s are out. I purchased four 702 S2s and a pair of 705 S2s to fill in the bed layer speakers for my home theater. And they are Amazing once the system and room are tuned in. Movies sound better than a full theater. Jazz, Classical, night club, classic rock, and other music sound amazing in both 2 channel stereo, 7.1, Neural 2D and 3D, and surround Stereo settings on my Denon x4800H. I was listening to George Winston the other night and did not realize Stereo Surround was active. Integration between the 702s and 705s is that good. If you have a choice between the new 600 S3 floor standing speakers and an open box or floor model 702 S2 then go with the 702 S2. Match this up with a quality Integrated stereo amplifier or solid AV Receiver and you'll have yourself a system that your friends will envy. I recommend something with either room correction, room acoustic treatments, and/or Tone controls and you'll have yourself a fantastic system that your friends will envy. If you are worried about missing accessories like feet and grills then you can get them at Encompass's website. The Accessory pack for the 683 work with the 702 S2.

Very good sounding speakers. I read every review on the internet and the universal high praise for these speakers is deserved. Sat in display room at Best Buy with eyes closed listening to these and other b and w tower (and bookshelf) speakers and although they all sounded very good, these speakers when powered properly sounded great. Be advised these speakers want high power (I bought an amp to help the receiver), but you will be rewarded with great sound. The highs are delightful. The bass is strong. If you can get these speakers you will be smiling with audio pleasure.

I can’t say enough about these speakers. The clarity is impressive. They are power hungry and require a good amp but it is definitely worth it. Once they broke in they sound like the artists are in your room when listening to music. They are revealing so I stick with CDs and 4K DVDs.

I had the B&W 602 s2 and boy i have to say the upgrade is worth every penny. The detached tweeter definitely makes a huge difference. Voices sound soo clean and crisp. I paired these with an SVS sb13 sub and just WOW!!! These speakers sound amazing and look amazing.

All I can say is WOW!!!! Paired with ArcamSA30 will blow your mind. The sound stage is large. They fill the space with near perfect sounds. Definitely worth the investment. My wife says it’s like being front row center at her favorite band!!!

Sounds smooth, gets loud with the right power, hadn't heard any distortion yet. Im happy with how they sound.

These speakers sound good. Got the gloss black so smudges easily occur - but that's okay and no surprise. Got a well used, open box pair and the condition is pretty good.

The sound is phenomenal but you need some overhead power to really open up the bass. I combined with a Rel T/9x sub to get down lower.

Best speakers I’ve ever heard, 100 percent recommend

After only owning these for 24 hours I've decided to dump my girlfriend of 5 years as these are the only things I need anymore in my life. The sound reproduction is off the charts. Bowers and Wilkins really put a lot of effort into the tweeter design as the high's really shine. The Continuum driver is a massive upgrade over the CM series Kevlar driver. Can't tell you how much of a difference they sound in the home than at the store.

I first heard these speakers in the Magnolia section of Best Buy and couldn’t believe the clarity. Until I looked at the price. Not cheap but I was looking for the best sound I could afford and these were a once I a lifetime splurge. I worried about how’d they sound outside of the studio in a house with high ceilings. I needn’t have worried. Once I got them set up and put played music from my phone I was even more impressed. I didn’t care for the white or gloss black when i found they also cane in a rose wood, that’s what I ordered and they are gorgeous! To say I’m happy with them is an understatement. Each time I listen I’m amazed at how distinct each instrument sounds.

Goosebumps worthy. Simply stunning design which gives luxurious look with its deep glossy finish.

These are absolutely fantastic towers but they require a good amplifier to really drive them to their full potential. The separated tweeters provide rich highs, the midrange stands apart from a lot of other speakers, and paired with a Rel High-Level connection, they’re nearly unstoppable in their price class. As with any good speaker, a good amplifier really opens up a new world of sound to them. I’ve heard them through a McIntosh MA252 vs. a good AVR and it really makes a difference.

Having listened to many high end audio systems - these are cutting edge at this price point. The isolated tweeters hit the highest highs, bringing voices to life, and with perfect clarity. Remastered live tracks of Stevie Nicks Rhiannon will have the white witch and these B&Ws give you goosebumps! The Who’s - Who Are You and Tool’s The Pot are dynamic tracks that will bring these speakers to life! At 65lbs each these things are not light - or easy on the wallet - however the superior construction of these and technology that’s been standard of B&W will give you many many years of enjoyment and are totally worth the money. A solid amplifier is crucial - these things are power hungry - especially near reference volume and you’ll need to feed them. I’m pushing mine a Rotel 1585 5ch amp - 200W RMS per channel. Bi-wired with 10ga wire ensuring the lows aren’t being robbed of the power from the three dedicated woofers that will fill your mids and lows. I have called B&W for some customer support, and I can’t say enough good things about them. No long holds, quick accurate information, and email follow up to ensure everything was in order. If you get these from Best Buy - be sure you’re dealing with a Magnolia rep, or in home advisor who actually knows something about the products and equipment you’ll need to push them.

I have spent a lot of time around high end audio equipment. I have always loved the sound from B&W. I used to have a 685 surround sound system. When I moved I did not have a back wall or a place to put the surround sound in. So it was time to upgrade from bookshelves to a solid floor standing speaker. I decided to go with a 2.2 system. Two 702s2's and 2 ASW610's. When watching movies I can shake the whole house. But it isn't about loud its about the quality of the sound. You can hear every little thing, there is no distortion. For the money there is nothing else even close. The 703 with the tweeter inside the body is a massive difference in sound quality. There are only two speakers in the 700 line worth thinking about the 702's and the 705's once you hear then you will not consider the others. I was tempted to step up to the 800 series but value for $ the 702's imho are the best purchase in the entire B&W offering. Music which is what i mostly use them for is incredible. I love going back and listening to all my old favorites and hearing things i never heard before. The sound of the strings being played. The sound of someone sliding their fingers up the strings. Every little detail is there in full quality. If you close your eyes you would think the musicians playing right their in your living room. I highly recommend these speakers you will absolutely love them.

Full disclosure, I power my setup with a Rotel RA-1572 First and foremost.. I upgraded from the B&W 600 series.. the new 600 series.. the ones currently available from B&W.. and those sounded great to begin with.. so I happen to stumble upon a screaming deal on a pair of 702 S2's so I figured Id give them a try. I thought myself.. "how much better can they be than the 603's? " I mean after all B&W outdid themselves with the new 603's believe me. So I brought the 702's home.. and plugged them in and fired up the Rotel. Immediately noticed the mid tone was brighter.. and more detailed. I would assume its because of the different tweeter / housing design ...because after all it should be the same mid driver as the 603 right? Whatever is going on, its a lot brighter in the vocals mainly.. more accurate.. for a lack of a better description. The high frequencies are more robust and dynamic sounding. The bass is deeper. In other words, the whole sound spectrum is more robust than the 603. But you would never know it if I hadn't listed to the 702's because I was pretty happy with the 603's. The 603 sound stage is pretty darn good. The 702's is incredible. I can say without question that I'm hearing more detail in the music than I did with the 603's. When I brought the 702's home I had both sets in my listening room at the same time to do a comparison, and it was nice to be able to switch between the sets while in mid-song. All in all, B&W hit the mark with both the 603's and 702's and they will be hard to beat for sound quality in each of their perspective price ranges. Pair them up to a newer Rotel Amp/Pre / integrated amp and you will have the best audio system in your neighborhood. Power hungry, best played loud. Exacting, Re-produces fine detail I was missing. Medium size tower fits nicely in more spaces. Sturdy except for the tweeter, but the design sets it apart as something special for me.
