Memories of fighting, begging, and pleading with countless HP, Cannon, Epson, and other printers to work have thankfully faded away with this Brother. It was as smooth as silk getting it set up to the wifi network, it had no problems working with my 11-year-old iMac, or my husband's PC laptop. It scans (to the cloud or your email) it copies - it prints - even double-sided! It's great! I'm so much happier with a laser jet instead of an inkjet. The toner lasts a lot longer, and you don't have same fuss and mess as when you deal with an inkjet. I even was able to wireless print from my Samsung phone! Awesome. Great printer! The best! No stupid software or extra garbage other printer companies demand you install on your machine! Plus, it has a compact design to fit into your space.

If you typically print low volume and/or sporadically, sometimes months without printing, this printer will always be ready. I'm sure if you print high volume and regularly it will handle it as well. Those inkjet printers can't handle long periods of time without a print before the printhead clogs/dries up. Just stop buying HP printers, they're practically disposable printers. As for the HL-L2395DW, I don't use nearly all the features. It will print wirelessly if you're on the same network as it. When you print it wakes it up from sleep seamlessly. Non manual duplex printing is a super nice to have. The only bad thing I can say is that it has a big footprint, which I would ALWAYS make room just to have a printer like this. Also, I guess the starter toner is slightly off from the 700 page estimation but I guess that depends on the resolution you print at. I probably will never have to replace the drum unit in this just because of how infrequent I print. Save yourself the headache and money and buy a Brother laser printer

Get this printer by Brother. The wife and I are happy with our purchase. Our last Brother printer model MFC 8860DN non wireless, purchased back in 2008 lasted 13 years before it broke down. just installed it today and the printer is up and running. Takes 10- 15 minutes to set it up. This model has fast printing. Great quality prints. Simple set-up of the printer and was asked to upgrade the firmware through the lcd screen. Print, copy and scan printer works just as advertised. Best Buy, thank you for your service and fast shipping. On Track delivered the product 1 day before delivery date. High five!

Brother printers & tech support are great!

This printer marks my second one from Brother. My first, an MFC model network printer has worked quite well from the get go. This new one is for my wife's office and located immediately next to her desk. It unpacked easily and was not damaged ( although it's shipping box was, so good packaging saved the day!). Since a CD with printer software was included and her computer has no drive, I went online to get the drivers. This was the only glitch...the model wasn't listed on the website prompting a call to customer support. After a fairly brief wait, a Brother tech rep located in Jamaica got on the call and was quite professional in pointing me to the correct drivers and staying online until the installation was completed. I used tech support once before when my other printer lost it's connection. They were just as effective then. The tech support is offered for the life of the machine and is one of the reasons I chose Brother again. I highly recommend the laser printers whether the simple one like this or the more complex like the MFC series. Oh..They operate and printer very well! Getting a good deal from Best Buy with the use of earned Reward Points was frosting on the cake.

Scanner results are poor, print quality is great

Why 2 stars? Read on. As a printer, it's great. As a wireless printer, the wifi connection is fast and easy to use. As a scanner, my HL-L2395DW is terrible. I have never seen such poor scan quality on any printer I have owned as far back as 2003. I am attaching images of sample scans. One of the images shows you a scan on the new Brother printer/scanner and a scan of the same printed material on the older, less expensive Epson printer. The older printer clearly wins. The Epson printer scan is an accurate representation of the printed material. The Brother printer, to me, has a useless scanner. I can not scan photos or any other material at a high dpi, because the result is useless in software such as Photoshop. It's possible, my scanner isn't calibrated properly, but I have found similar comments about the scanner on this model. Also I have to say that the quick setup guide that comes with the printer does not feature this printer. It could cause some people to struggle with setup. If the scanner was awesome, this would be a 5 star review, but since the scanner can not be separated from the printer when considering it's overall usability, I give it 2 stars.

I simply love this printer. I never really needed a color printer but always had one instead of this. The ink would always dry up and was very expensive to replace. Not with this one, its always ready to go and works fantastic. I wish that I never would have wasted the money in the past on many purchases of wet ink. You'll like this one.

This replaces a small, older Brother printer (still works great) because I wanted the additional copier/scanner function of this one and to have all these functions in one, fairly small unit. It uses the same cartridges as my older 2370 model, and the footprint is almost the same except this model is about 5 inches higher. It works great, easy to set up, and I especially like the double sided print function and of course the copier works great. It's nice to have the larger, easy to see, color setup window to choose the various functions, hugely nicer than on the older printers I've used. I haven't tried the scanning part and probably will rarely use it, but I expect it tol work fine as well. I never could get the wireless printing of my older printer to work right. I'll try to set it up on my new one in the hopes that it will be better, but I don't anticipate that because there are so many negative reviews on wireless printing. Hooking up my computer to the printer was easy via a USB cord, however. I've had Brother printers for at least 20 years and I haven't had one stop working yet as they are real workhorses. I'm sure this model will be just as good. I wouldn't buy any other brand as past experience with other brands wasn't positive. I couldn't find the printer in any of the stores so I had to order it. Delivery was just a couple of days from Best Buy and there were no problems. Prices have gone up since I last considered this printer, but it helped to catch it on a good sale before the holidays.

I bought this printer for about $100 as it was on sale and I had had it with the trouble my HP inkjet was giving me vis-a-vis connectivity issues and ink expenses. I absolutely love this printer! Set up was easy thanks to videos available from the Brother website that were referenced in the setup manual included with the printer. Hooking it up to my Apple based computers via my wireless network was also easy. I did not have to use the available printer drivers as Apple AirPrint worked flawlessly for both printing and scanning. The printouts are black and white but truly remarkable for the text documents I print. Printouts are a noticeable improvement over the high quality inkjet printer I also have and print faster too. If I have any regrets it is that I did not spring for a better model that had a sheet feeder for scanning or one that printed in color. I bought this because I wanted to try a laser printer and for $100, this was a wonderful purchase. Extremely satisfied for what I bought it for. Never any connectivity issues, printing is beautiful, fast and flawless. Scanning works well too. I liked this printer so well, that I bought another one (alas from another store as the Best Buy sale ended) and had it shipped to my son who was having trouble with his inkjet printer. Based on the functioning of this Brother printer, I do plan on purchasing another one with color and sheet feeder capabilities if one ever goes on sale.
