This is amazing! So many prints so much cheaper than ink jet per print. I do printables for journaling and the color is beautiful. I have a scanner on another printer so did not need that just scan to my PC then print to the brother if I want non-water soluble prints for art projects or image transfers or whatever. Ink jets are not waterproof. Great deal since I also got an extra black cartridge! Easy setup just love it!!!

This printer is exactly what I need. Prints beautifully in my office, easy to use, has wifi, is not a large printer but fits my desk. I recommend for someone with no high maintenance needs.

This a quality printer and it easily handles most any home office print job. My wife is a teacher and this fits our needs much better than the inefficient inkjet it replaced. Pros - Wireless printing. My iPhone found it on the network and I could print immediately. It also has no issue with my mesh network (TP-Link Deco). - Easy setup. I never had to pull out the included CD. On my Windows 10 laptop, it appeared in the printers list after a refresh and when selected it setup automatically. I love that this works as it should. - Printing via email and the cloud when not at home is convenient (see caution below). - Much quieter than you would think. - Cost efficient Things to consider - It is heavy and a little bigger than the average light duty home printer - Warm up (all laser printers due this) takes a few seconds and can delay printing if it has been idle for a while. - It uses some power when printing, especially on warm up. Just make sure you don’t have it plugged in to the same circuit as a bunch of other stuff. - When printing from the printer’s cloud options the file selected from the cloud or email prints how it came – no option to switch to black and white is given, no editing/resizing can be done on screen. - The touch screen is just ok. The menus are a bit dated looking, it is not sharp, and the sensitivity could be better. You really don’t use it that much once it is set up so it is a minor issue. This is a keeper.

    Black toner print issues

Coincidentally right after the 2month return period ended I started having issues with black ink splotches showing up along the side of the page. Customer support says it is an issue with the toner cartridge, so we will see if it improves after I receive that but ultimately I wish I could just return it and go back to my old B&W printer.

For this review, I'll start off with the cons. If you are looking for a 3 in 1 printer, look away. This is a printer and nothing else. Another thing, it's bulky and heavy. Another thing, the toner cartridges are expensive, but you will get many prints before needing to buy more. On to the pros. The print quality is amazing on the Brother - HL-L3270CDW. Prior to getting my hands on this machine, I was using a similar model at my job. I used it on a daily basis and never had any problems. Brother printers are truly quality machines, so I expect to get lots of use out of this Brother - HL-L3270CDW for a long time. It's hard to go wrong with it. One of the best features in this machine is the ability to connect to multiple cloud services and print directly to the printer. It makes it so much easier to get the documents that I need for school and work now. I can email prints to the printer, and if I want to keep something private, you can setup a pin option for confidential documents. As for the setup, it was a breeze! I had the Brother - HL-L3270CDW printer up and running in around 20 minutes, that includes linking my cloud services and connecting the printer to my wifi network. So far, I have had no connectivity issues. I'd say what took the longest was the fact that you have to take out the toner cartridges to remove a plastic protector from them. It looked intimidating at first, but it's just a matter of pushing tabs to a side and pulling the cartridges out. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Brother - HL-L3270CDW to anyone in the market for their office, or even professional students in need of a reliable printer.

Brother did sooo well with the HL-L3270 (minus choosing a name but I’ll forgive it). This printer outdoes any office printer I’ve come across in my life. So my main office just got upgraded to some compact multi task printer but this Brother printer brings quality and speed home (literally). Bells and whistles here are worth your time and learning them. I am able to sit on my couch and work while printing at the same time. There’s the ability to AirPrint, print double sided, print like 30 pages in under a minute or something. As you can see I attached a picture of a photo I just took in Mexico on a trip and the water and waves look super pristine. If you appreciate efficiency and simplicity then this printer is for you. Overall a printer that came to play and brings it’s A-Game!

In searching for a color laser printer, I considered a few top brands but eventually went with Brother. I purchased a Brother monochrome laser printer several years ago. Not a WiFi - or even Wireless-Ready - printer. But it's the printer I have owned the longest without having any issues. For that reason, I went with Brother for this next printer quest. This review is being written over a year after I purchased this color laser printer. I am still very happy with its performance. I have printed quite a bit but have not yet had to replace any of the cartridges. The only negative is its weight. But it's only a negative if you're constantly moving it from one place to another - like me! I'm always rearranging my home office! Otherwise, pick a spot and leave it there. It's truly wireless so it can live in any room in your house. Doesn't need to be tethered to your router. Also, it's pretty big. So make sure you place it where it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb! Overall, 5 stars for this puppy - er - big dog. Stop overthinking it and go buy it! (Title for attention only :P )

I bought this printer for craft purposes, but I was really disappointed with the quality of the prints from this printer. I enclosed a picture below of how it prints. The first is the Brother 3270 laser, the second is my ink jet Epson, which was one of the most cheapest models. Big difference!

My wife and I had an HP CP2020 color laser printer that I got from my workplace when they were buying new equipment and giving away the old. It worked great for about three years for our personal and side-business needs, and then it began streaking badly. Given that it was over a decade old, we deemed it not worth repairing. Previously, we'd relied on color inkjet printers, which produce great-looking documents but are slow and consume lots of expensive ink. I researched color laser printers. This one got great reviews, was the cheapest by quite bit, and did everything our old HP did, and more. Having had good experiences with brother products over the years (my 2004 monochrome laser printer still works, but nobody makes toner cartridges for it anymore), we decided to buy this one. We have a home network with Apple Macintoshes, iPads, and iPhones. The documentation on how to install the drivers was confusing, and I've been working with high tech since 1983 and was a technical writer for a decade. Once I figured out what to do, the installation of the macOS and iOS drivers and apps went smoothly. The printer is fast, is relatively quiet, and produces excellent quality printouts. I highly recommend it. Of course, I can't yet comment on how it holds up over the long term. Be aware that laser printers aren't meant for printing high-quality photos. For that, you need an inkjet printer and photo paper. We rarely print photos these days, but, when we do, sending them to a local pharmacy or Costco print department is easy and cheap.

I purchased this printer from Brother after doing my research into color laser printers on how they are constructed and engineered. Having set up printers from HP, Lexmark in prior times I found the setup for this printer very good. It is quiet and exactly what I wanted.

So, I do not print a lot by any means. Maybe an average of 10 documents a week. That said, I justified this behemoth for that very reason... inkjets tend to leak, clog, etc. when they're not used that often. Plus, although I haven't done the math, I'm pretty sure the Brother printer is cheaper to operate. I'll explain my reasoning... I purchased the Brother on 6/3/21, and used the "sample" toner supply until I ran out of black... ONLY black... on 4/8/22. I then purchased a high yield cartridge of black toner, and here it is, 15 months later, and I've only used 25% of the toner. As for the color toners... I'M STILL USING THE SAMPLES! Granted they're 80% gone, but I'm still using them. Again, I'm only printing 10 or so B/W documents a week, but I can guarantee you I'd have gone through 3 black, and 1 each of red, yellow, and blue tone cartridges in that same time span with my old inkjet. Pros: - It prints crisp and clean every time. I've never had any issue with the print quality. - Extremely robust reliable. My office is somewhere in between a home office and a broom closet converted into an office on a farm, i.e., not super clean, not super dirty. Definitely dusty. I'm pretty sure that's why so many inkjets have failed. - Easy to change toner and load paper. - Weirdly stylish. When the little screen is folded flat, it's just a big square cube. Minimalist, if you will. Neutral: - Today was the first day I had any issues with it, and it happened of course after a Windows update. Therefore, I cannot fault the printer. But, even if it was the printer's fault, very simple to get it back on line again. Cons: - THE PAPER TRAY WILL NOT ACCEPT A FULL REAM OF PAPER!!! Ugh, why is this not a standard option? - It's bulky. It weighs a lot, and has a large footprint, so make sure your space can accommodate it. Summary: - It's a good, beefy, robust, and reliable printer that seems relatively inexpensive and super easy to operate. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

I read several reviews that were not so great about this printer and how hard it was to set up. I ordered it anyway because the price was right and I love this printer! I had it set up in about five minutes. Not sure why others said it was so difficult. I am not a tech-savvy person and this was a no-brainer. It prints amazingly well for what I use it for. It's not a photo printer. I print a lot of stuff for my classroom and It has been amazing for that. It came with toner already installed which I missed in the description and ordered a pack of toners so I am set on that for a long time. I would definitely recommend this printer. It has been wonderful.

I have been looking for a color laser printing for a few years but was turned off by the price and lack of features at the low end of the price spectrum. This print delivered the features I needed such as an Ethernet connection and was within my price range. I own a black and white Brother Laser printer that I have have for 5 years and still works great so the brand was acceptable to me and the features covered everything I was looking for. The toner and drums are pricey but reasonable and long lasting. The print quality is very good though I have not had an occasion to test it to it full capability. Setup is simple and the drivers are built into Windows 7 and above. Removing all of the package and shipping protection from the device took some time and if you read the instructions it tell you clearly all of the different straps and protection device to remove. It is definitely well protected for shipping.
