Bought this printer for work so that we could print from two different trays of different paper sizes and it works great for that. I'm knocking off a star because it was expensive, and because the toner seems messy on the first page of any print. Not sure why. But it prints quickly and sharply otherwise.

The only reason that I put 4 stars instead of 5 is the setting to enable the wired or wireless connections. I can understand if you don't want or can't have both running at the same time but why would the default setting be to have both connections disabled? I tried the wireless first and it kept timing out, not saying anything about being disabled. Then I tried a wired connection and it wouldn't pull DHCP or a static ip address. I started searching through the menu to discover that you have to enable both of these connections as they are turned off by default. Once I got it connected, it works great! Printing is quick and resolution is crisp. Extra paper tray means you can load this one up and forget about it for a while!

Very fast printer, which has a second tray and helps on duplicate printing.

I had bought a DCW-2380, which I liked but I needed the dual tray option, so I upgraded and love this machine!! Aesthetically simple and functional, large, but not an eyesore. Attention to detail makes this a great asset. Very good investment.

Fast, trays hold ample amount of paper for working remote full time. Don’t have problem with having to restart printer if not used for 50+ minutes, thank goodness. Highly recommend this printer.

I am pleased with the quality of the printing. Good price and value. The only issue I’ve had and I was surprised by this is that the power cord end that plugs into the printer is loose and in my opinion should fit snugly. If it is bumped the machine turns off; it’s too sensitive to motion. I wouldn’t let this dissuaded anyone from purchasing since it is a good machine but thought it odd as I’ve not had this experience in the past with any other equipment.

As describe a little bit hesitant at first then all goes well. Very helpful for printing huge volume and quick to set up.

Fast, doesn't take up much space. Just wish It would stop printing when it runs out of paper instead of pulling from legal tray.

I purchased this printer to work wirelessly with my MacBook and gave it 2 stars because when it does work, it's great. HOWEVER, the printer is equipped with a sleep mode (which I confirmed with the manufacturer) can NOT be turned off , and has a maximum awake time of 50 minutes. When the machine enters sleep mode, nothing can be done to re-awaken it, short of powering the machine off and turning it on again. I contacted Brother to inquire about fixing the problem (there are hundreds of other people online who have reported this problem) and there is no solution and they do not plan on crafting a solution. WHAT?!?!?! As a result, I will NEVER purchase another Brother product again. You should only purchase this product if you plan on using it at least once every 50 minutes.

Neither tray will hold 8.5 x 14 (legal) paper. The only reason we bought this was thinking it would hold legal paper in one of the two trays. We can't make it work
