Very satisfied with the MFC-J885DW, which replaces one made by another manufacturer that I was wishing would break. Set-up started out seamlessly, but I hit a snag when it came to inserting the disk for connecting to wi-fi. (The disc even got stuck in my computer's driver, and was unresponsive. The computer later spit it out.) Downloading installation from the website enabled me to complete this process, but it took longer than anticipated. Perhaps this was because I was looking at the computer screen after inserting the disc, rather than at the printer panel, for instructions. The panel must have advanced to finish mode, by the time I looked. Wireless printing is new to me, and I love it! Two-sided printing is also a real time-saver. The rear tray for card stock, etc. is a great feature. It is expected that the cost of ink will be significantly lower, though time will tell. Also, this model is nicely small compared to others. The print quality is not optimal. That is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Would not recommend if you must make stunning presentations. I intend to buy better quality paper and see how much of a difference that would make. However, for my purposes it is sufficient as is, especially since all of the other features are a real improvement in my case.

I had a Canon printer which still worked but I had had it since 2009! I have a Mac with El Capitan on it & Canon didn't have El Capitan drivers for my printer. I was in the market for a new multifunction printer. I considered another Canon printer, but then I read about the Brother printer. The ink cartridges in the Brother printer are bigger than the ink cartridges in my Canon printer. I liked what I read & bought it. It was easy to set up. I tried several times to set up my Canon printer to print wirelessly, but it was a pain in the you-know-what to set up. I never could get it to set up. I like my new Brother printer. I hope that it provides me with many years of reliable service.

I switched from a HP to the Brother because I had some problems with it. So for the brother is working well. Its a little smaller and takes up less space. Prints well color and black and two sided. Nice printer.

I have had this printer for about a month now. I wanted to be able to print, copy, scan and was used to a kodak printer with the lower price INK. The Kodak died so we had to quickly choose a new one. Never had a brother printer before. So far, I like it. Set up was easy enough. Not well experienced in printing from my phone yet so I still need to learn that. The small INK it came with is still in the printer. It seems to be a little slow but it's good. Picture print quality is as good as the Kodak was....Not a great quality but good enough for a quick picture print you need. I kept the box in case I did not like it and wanted to return...but I still have the printer! Pleased with my choice, especially since it was a quick decision purchase.

Love that it can print from my phone. Haven't used it that much yet, but easy set up and much more advanced than any other printer I've had. So far so good.

This printer is easy to setup and easy to operate. Love the fact it has wifi and a fax!! Great printer!!

The printer is easy to use. Works easily with phones and laptops as well as desktop computers. Drivers are easy to install. Good for a small home, a few documents to print, to print pictures now and then and a scanner as well. All around, a good 'bang for the buck!"

The printer was a great purchase the price was reasonable and easy to set up. I am very satisfied. I would definitely recommend it.

The printer is relatively fast. It is light and does not take up more space. Overall, I'm happy with this product.

I needed a new printer this fits what I needed, like the size have a small space. Prints clearly it is a little noisy when printing but nothing I can't live with. Haven't tried the scan nor the fax part yet so I can't say, so far glad I bought this.seems to be sturdy. my old was by brothers it was sturdy had for several years.

I was looking for a inexpensive all-in-one inkjet with a fairly small footprint, duplex, WiFi and Ethernet for occasional color printing. I use a monochrome laser for most printing. Best Buy had it for a good price and it has reasonably priced ink. Setup was easy. Pleased with it so far except for speed.

Loved the price of the machine and the price of ink. Does a great job fort the price.

After a history of owning HP printers, I read all online reviews and bought this one. All the functions work perfectly, installation was straight forward, print quality is very good, and cartridges are reasonably priced. I use this to print business letters, color flyers with photos, envelopes and insides of greeting and thank you cards. Very pleased, especially for the price!

To me Brother makes the best multi use unit for the home or small office and the fact that this is wireless makes it even better. With the wireless feature you don't need to be next to your printer when workng and beng wireless you can print from any device like your phone or iPad. You can even print from anywhere by printing from the cloud. All in all great bang for your buck!

I was hesitating at first to buy this one but I'm glad I did. Very easy to use and the best part of this is I can easily print anything off from my phone using wifi. The printer has a perfect size for those who doesn't want a big printer.

First Beother printer and so far so good. Very easy set up and all my devices connected to it with ease.

I have been a Brother's fan for a few years now and I just love how fast it will print and the beautiful prints that come out when printing photos. Usually with some non-photo printing printers they have a tendency to have lines through the photo, but not this printer. I have had beautiful photos print out and wouldn't trade my Brother for any other!
