    Relieved And Saving Money

I purchased the Brother - MFC-L2700DW Wireless Black-and-White All-in-One Laser Printer - Gray after having three different Color printers with those small color cartridges with very little ink in each cartridge and I finally bought a black and white printer learning...? Why did I really need a color printer anyway with what I really need... a printer for saving MONEY on COUPONS , Return Labels, Shipping Labels and items with Bar codes. ( if you need color copies make one on your black and white copier and take it to your local copier store and pay for color copies) I made the mistake of buying a color copier becauseI I was a beginner and thought it looked great. NO need really for a color coupon or store bar code or return label. I needed a Copier to Print MONEY SAVINGS COUPONS and Such. Since i purchased the High Quality Brothers Printer I’ve been over the top Happy with quality printing and wi-fi capability when I’m not around the Brothers copier. I just happened to buy the printer on sale for $40.00 off at Bestbuy so if you’re in the market for a great printer at Bestbuy purchase this printer and show them my review and perhaps they will honor my review and give you the $40.00 off I got the Brother - MFC-L2700DW Wireless Black-and-White All-in-One Laser Printer - Gray Give it a try you will not be disappointed. A bargain-priced multi-function printer, the Brother MFC L2700DW ($139) offers the printing, scanning and copying features you'd expect, along with some nice features like an auto document feeder and generous, 250-page paper tray.

If you're looking for a unit that will meet your needs for small office/home use, look no further. This all-in-one has everything you need for black and white printing with the added benefit of using toner cartridges (that don't dry up like ink does when not used). The wifi worked perfectly with all my Apple iPhone/Ipad and Microsoft devices. It scans in color and has an easy to use fax interface. I've used all the features flawlessly. Easy setup and has advanced GUI for those whom need added capabilities. It comes with a "starter" toner cartridge (having less toner than a replacement does), but here's a little advice. Don't get caught in the trap of buying replacement cartridges when all you need to do is add toner to the one you have, starter or standard. To replace toner in a starter cartridge requires adding the missing plastic gear that the standard cartridge has, and after filling with toner, becomes exactly like a standard cartridge that can be filled over and over again. The cost? Under fifteen dollars for the one time gear and toner. Once the gear is installed (and it's easy), you only have to add toner instead of replacing the entire cartridge. That's a huge savings. There are plenty of "how to's" on the web for most toner cartridges, just do a little research. Hope this review helps, and BTW, check out refilling for other types of cartridges you may have, it's worth the effort.

Lots of features on this printer. No problems so far. Set up was very easy for a 70 year old. wi-fi was up and running right away. Print is very clear and very easy to increase the size of print fonts, two sided printing is fast and this printer is very quiet. Glad i desided to switch from using those dumb little ink cartrage to laser. Still using the cartrage that came with the printer.

I work from home and I'm also taking courses online towards a Bachelor's Degree. Having to use one printer in our house was getting to be cumbersome as it was in my wife's office. I purchased this printer on sale and have it next to my laptop in my work area. Now I can take care of business, work and school printing needs with ease - scanning, copying and then printing in black and white. That's about 95% of what I needed one for anyways and I have her color printer if needed for the rest. The toner cartridge can print up to 2500 sheets, which saves me on buying inkjet cartridges like I was for her printer. It works great and the wireless connectivity is a bonus. I have set up the kids laptops for printing schoolwork via this printer also, to save on using the printer in my wife's office. Overall, very happy with this purchase.

Unfortunately, wireless fails with MacBook 10.x

If you own a MacBook Pro, DO NOT BUY this printer. It only works when plugged in through a USB. PLEASE NOTE - you will have to purchase this USB cord (specifically - you will need a USB 2.0, Type A Male to Type B Male cord) - which is not supplied when you purchase the printer. Once the USB is connected, you can use a very fast, multi-functioning laser printer, but it will not benefit you through wireless connection - unless you use it with your mobile device or phone (which works well with the latest Android and iPhone - after you install the app and connect the device on your wireless network). Through research, I discovered that the 'location' setting on the wireless configuration is not automatically set when you install this printer on your network (this is available when you are installing the printer software). What this means is -you will have to add your computer name in the 'location' field. I did this and the printer worked wirelessly on my MacBook Pro when I printed a test page. Unfortunately, this only worked once. I made several attempts to research, and re-install the software - but my time is limited - and this technology should work, as advertised, without this type of effort. I will say that if you have a Windows machine, then this printer is for you. I tested this on my Windows 10 laptop and it works fine, wirelessly. So in fairness, this is a great printer for those who use Windows PCs and laptops. I use a variety of technologies in my household, and by purchasing this printer, I was attempting to benefit from wireless connectivity - but this printer does not support what it advertises, or at least not 100%. However, I will point out that the MacBook Pro 10.x also drops the location setting when sharing your managed printer information with other applications you can print from (- for example, Chrome or TextEdit, etc.) - and when I noticed this, it only added to my frustration. I considered returning it, but at this point my family needs a printer, and the copier and scanner features all work very well - and as mentioned, the printer works while connected via USB to my MacBook Pro - and it works extremely fast!

This is my first own laser printer. It's a good machine. Ideal for small or home office. I use the print-scan-copy options a lot in my home office. This printer is setup wirelessly in my home network. It comes with a starter toner which should last for at least a 500 depending on your printing and whether or not you use toner saver mode for less critical documents. It should print for mobile devices (e.g. cellphones) but I haven't had time to set that up on my phone. All in all, it's a good buy.

This product was purchased to be used in a small law office. It is used daily to print letters, notices, ledgers, etc. The quality of the printing has been excellent, and it is easily able to keep up with our demands. The only complaint we have is that the envelope printing tray does not always keep envelopes straight, so sometimes the address/return address are slanted. Would definitely purchase again.

It's been a couple of months. I bought this machine and the similarly priced HP Envy 7640 at the same time because I need two different sized printers at two different locations in the house. I will proceed talking about both printers because I think they are great choices that fit slightly different needs. Both printers work wonderfully after the initial setup. Obviously the two printers are dimensionally and functionally different---Brother is big and prints only black while HP is half the size and prints both black and color. The both have fax and both are wifi printers. They are also different aesthetically---Brother is dressed in subtle gray with a tinyoldschool screen while the HP is dressed in glossy paint and equipped with a beautiful touch screen. The unadorned Brother expectedly leaves the fancy HP behind when it comes to performance as Brother scans and prints much faster while use much less ink. Brother yields great product; it leaves behind clear and legible words. The ink is also quality enough to not get smeared easily. The difference for me between the two is the initial setup. Brother was simple and straight forward and had no hiccup. I was able to get it running in less than 20 minutes. The HP had some nightmarish Wifi problem which I eventually resolved using manual input. Overall, I am happy with my purchases and would recommend Brother for students and business people who need frequent everyday printing.

My wife recently needed a new printer to replace a very well used ink jet as her business had increased. I explored many options and continued to come back to this printer. The rated volume and that it could do legal media fit what she needed. Setup was a breeze including fax over VOIP. After only a few weeks of usage, she has consumed the first cartridge, and yet the quality has stayed consistent and no problems with any functions. Cant go wrong with this printer.

The grey color of this printer is much nicer than the usual black printers. I have other Brother printers and have always been happy with the quality. This one seems to be of equally good quality. The wireless capability was easy to set up.

Though its early days, this multi-function takes care of basics I need. Quick printing on mostly word documents that can be two-sided. And a scanner with a document feeder. No frills. The wireless function works with my Apple Computer.
