After my Canon inkjet died and needed a new print head I decided to switch to a laser printer with black toner only. I'm retired and beyond printing color photos. I just email them from my cell phone and don't use a digital camera anymore. I looked at the reviews and picked the Brother L2710 & saw that everyone had it for the same price & my local Best Buy had 3 in stock. Purchased it, took it home, read the minimum install sheet & waited until the next day to set it up. My findings are as follows: There is no detailed printed manual. You have to use the installation CD to find anything which is a big pain. The instructions are not straightforward, but I was able to get it set up. There is no on/off switch on the printer. I guess it is always on. This is useful if you are send stuff from your phone as you are surfing he net. I never set up the wireless option since I don't intend to use it. It's just something else that can go wrong. I have the printer directly wired to my laptop & only print whatever I load or email to the laptop. I couldn't find anything that states how much power is consumed by the printer when it just sitting there in a standby/sleep mode. The toner cartridge that comes with the printer is good for 2,000 B&W copies. There is a replacement cartridge that is good for 5,000 copies. Since it took me at least a year to go through a 500 sheet ream of paper on my inkjet, the original toner cartridge should last me 3 to 4 years. Time will tell. Overall the Brother laser printer works fine. It has some negative & positive points. Since I don't need color for charts, graphs & photos anymore, this is a perfect low cost printer with excellent cartridge life. I would definitely recommend it for use at home or in a small office situation.

Purchase this brother multi-function printer because our inkjet was on this last legs. Ain't yes, just don't last long if you don't use them regularly. For the research I did laser printers do not have this issue. Hopefully this is true. I've used this printer only a few times to print out a couple pages and works fine. I have not used any other of the functions but I'm sure they work great. My workplace only use brother printers and they seem to work great. Overall. I would recommend this printer to anyone who's looking for these type of features.

Printer, Scanner were so easy to set-up and link to my laptop. I can print from my mobile phone as well. I'm really happy with my purchase.

I was really satisfied with this printer's quality and ease of use. Unfortunately, it did not work for me as I needed a dual tray and the bypass did not meet my needs.

This is in my opinion Brother's best selling printer. It is relatively cheap and provides high quality printing.

One of the best printers you can buy. If you don't need color printing then this brother printer does it all and the toner lasts forever. I have set up several of these in a work environment two just recently inside of an auto mechanic shop, the setup took less than 10 minutes in total from unboxing to printing. Easy to set up on the network and to have all of the workstations printing. Definitely would recommend for the price and for what you get.

I did extensive research prior to purchasing this printer for at home use. Things I like about this printer 1. It has a high page per minute print rate. 2. paper feed is in a drawer which holds 1/2 a pack of printer paper. 3. LASER printer- ink is more pricy but last much much longer. Surprisingly enough, in 2020 a lot of budget printers that work off of ink cartridges may only give you 20-50 pages before cartridges need replaced. I highly recommend toner vs ink! 4. Can print directly from my android phone via WIFI. 5. Can scan anything directly to phone, computer or email.

Good printer if you like just black and white printing. It uses toner cartridges. It’s easy to use.

My second Brother laser printer and the value for the price you pay can't really be beat. It's easy to set up and easy to use. I just use the driver rather than the full software, but it's great even without some of the features. It's quiet and sleeps quickly after sitting idle. The toner lasts quite a while at the low volume of printing I actually do and it doesn't dry up like ink used to if left to sit for a time. Would buy again, would buy Brother again, won't likely need to for a while though as my last one is still going after 5 years.
