Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the Network-Ready All-In-One Copier's ease of use and reliability, noting its intuitive design and dependable performance. However, some users expressed concerns regarding ink consumption, citing that the toner cartridges may not last as long as expected. A few customers suggested potential improvements to address the ink usage issue. Overall, the positive feedback on usability and dependability outweighs the concerns about ink efficiency.

Works well, text printing is sharp (I haven't printed a picture with it yet). Only B&W, but we almost never printed in color with our old color printer. I love the fact it's a laser printer, the old inkjet had so many issues that we were happy that it broke. And this one was real cheap too. Only (minor) negative is that there is no wireless networking, but our router is close to our work station, so it's not a biggie for us. The network printing works, and it was a piece of cake to set up. I'm not even sure I really looked at any instructions, everything was pretty intuitive. We bought this one online, it shipped real fast, nothing broken.

If you can get by without color do a laser. Though some ink printers claim similar yield per dollar, I've found that the ink will often dry up before I can use it, which isn't a worry with tonner. Brother isn't as big a name as HP but they're lasers seem pretty reliable.

Definitely recommend this printer. It prints and copies quickly and is quiet. We have numerous Brother printers in our office and they are reliable and long lasting.

I bought this multi-function printer because my partner recently bought a similar Brother product that he's very happy with. I needed a replacement for my office and had used his machine to scan several documents and I was impressed with how user friendly it was. Another big advantage is that though the machines are not the same model they both take the same toner cartridges so we can share supplies if needed.

It is like having a copier at home. With being a teacher I can actually plan ahead or wait until I get home now instead of waiting in line to use the copier machine at work. Wish I would have bought something like this years ago. Use on my I-Mac

    Perfect Laser Printer for Home

For the price, this printer is perfect for home or home office use. I have been searching for a low-cost laser printer and came across this Brother. I don't need to print in color so ink jet was out of the question. So far, so good. Printing is fast and scanning/copying is flawless. Replacement toner and drums are very cheap when compared to how often ink jet cartridges need to be replaced. Display is very basic when compared to newer LCD screens; however, this doesn't affect functionality at all.

Probably an automatic cleaning of the drum as a new feature or something like that to keep the quality of the printing work. Other then that I'm very happy with it.

We tossed the HP inkjet after too many problems. This Brother laser printer is as good as all of the reviews that I've read. I only wish that it had wireless capability. After buying the router and cables, it was very easy to set up the network. I'd buy another if I needed one.

Now I'm Pleased That My Old Copier Died

I wanted to test out each function of this machine, so here’s what I did. Copy. I wanted to duplex copy 10 single-sided sheets onto three sheets with two copies per side (four copies per sheet). I just loaded the originals into the ADF, adjusted the settings, pushed Start, and boom! half a minute later it was done. Print. I had the machine print a regular letter-sized file as a booklet. All I had to do fold the printed pages in two, staple them, and the booklet had correctly numbered pages. Scan. I stuck a 30-page document into the automatic feeder, then sat back and watched it fly through the machine and assemble on my computer. I haven't had the machine long enough to use up the starter print cartridge and so can't speak to how rapidly it uses up ink. I do like the availability of a toner saver setting (which I use along with brightness/contrast to adjust the print darkness) and a high-yield cartridge. I love what the machine itself can do but have reservations about the software and the documentation, which is inconvenient and arbitrary. The Basic User’s Guide packed with the machine covers just simple copying and scanning, along with replacing consumables. The files on the enclosed CD (which won’t copy onto my desktop, nor can I even fit the CD into my laptop) are additional manuals: one is the Advanced User’s Guide, which covers general setup, copying, and routine maintenance. Another is the Software User’s Guide, which explains printing and network scanning for Windows/Mac and using the ControlCenter Utility. Finally there is a Network User’s Guide and a Network Glossary, with which I’m not bothering. I have no idea how Brother decided on the contents of each manual, but their reasoning makes no sense to me. It’s extremely annoying to have to refer to the User’s Guides chart in the Basic manual to try to figure out which of them to consult. The ControlCenter Utility is definitely loaded on my desktop but won’t open. I found complaints on the Internet from other users (including those with other operating systems) who have had the same problem. Brother’s e-mail tech support was no help, and from what I’ve read, telephone support just wastes your time on diagnostics before announcing that it’s an OS problem. The utility is just a convenience for accessing the machine’s software, which I can do on my own, and because it’s an extra, I’m just not bothering with it.

Great price and a quality product. We've replaced our inkjet printer for a laser printer and couldn't be happier! The toner that came with the printer didn't last very long but that is to be expected if you read the details of the product first.

I bought this as a replacement for a DCP 7020 and would have been happy with the same features but this one offers automatic duplexing and much faster printing speed (print start and job completion.) Overall a great value for the price. The only thing I can think of improving this printer is if the paper bin held a full ream instead of 250 sheets. I love this thing.
