I am writing this review using the Brydge 10.5 keyboard. It fits the iPad Pro 10.5 perfectly. The build quality is excellent. There is no bending of this keyboard. The key spacing is very good, and the feel of the keys is very positive. The battery lasts a very long time, as I have yet to have to recharge it, and I have used it for many hours. There are many extra keys that make this keyboard a pleasure to use. They include a volumn keys, brightness keys, Play/Pause, Fast Forwrd, and Rewind. A Home key is very handy, as is the Siri button. I haven’t figured out the battery key, but you can always get the battery level by adding the battery widget to your iPads screen. Overall, this is a very rugged and high quality keyboard. I recommend it highly.

    Great, solid keyboard

This keyboard is unlike most of the ones out there. Most are plastic and quite flimsy. This keyboard is a very solid. It weighs about as much as the iPad itself The keys offer backlight that can be adjusted or turned off. The bottom has rubber feet on each corner which helps it not want to slide around everywhere. The keyboard is nearly the size o the MacBook keyboard and is really easy to get used to and is user friendly. Has buttons to control volume, lighting, etc. The only thing that I wish would be included with this keyboard is a protective case. When using this keyboard the back of the iPad is completely exposed. The unit is powered by a usb cable that is included. It seems to charge relatively quickly and hold its charge. This s a great option for a keyboard for the iPad Pro 10.5

Lugging my laptop around at work can be cumbersome. I wanted to use my iPad at work but needed a keyboard so I could type more quickly than I can on the iPad's keyboard. After a co-worker recommended a previous Brydge iPad keyboard, I selected this new version. I've used older iPad keyboards from other companies, but they didn't work well and the battery life was poor. After using the new Brydge keyboard for several days, the battery charge is still close to 100%. The device connected in seconds and I was up and running. The keyboard has a great touch and I can now use my smaller/lighter iPad while I'm at work (or at home). This is a quality device and worth the price if you're looking to upgrade from an older iPad keyboard.

This entire item exudes quality from the Bluetooth connection, to the powerful hinges, to the overall thinness and lightness. The Bluetooth connection is a snap to setup, quick with a very minuscule lag during initial connection startup. The hinges are powerful, yet delicate on your expensive iPad, and the number of angles are great. The keyboard is very tactile with a nice feedback as you type. This along with the backlit keys makes using your iPad on any surfaces, beds or laps a pleasure. This beautifully built, wonderful to the touch keyboard turns your IPad Pro into a powerful all around full computing device.

Putting this in perspective - I have 3 keyboards for my new iPad Pro, each with its own pros an cons. For this review, I’ll stick the the Brydge. Pros - the most stylish keyboard I have. - easy to type on, comfortable - not needing anything to prop the screen up is a hue win. Con - (just one) no back protection for the iPad - but Brydge had mentioned that they are working on a solution or that... Love the ‘stiff’ hinges that allow the iPad to stay at any angle without a ‘kickstand’. Completely worth it.

I just received this keyboard today. It was well packaged, and I had it attached and paired to my 10.5" iPad Pro in fewer that 5 minutes. I simply followed the included instructions, which were clear and concise. if you'd like to be able to leave your laptop at home and travel with a keyboard that has a great build quality and good feel, give this one a try. The keys have a good feel, and it responds to input exactly as you'd expect. Pros: -Build quality is excellent -Holds iPad very securely -Key feel is excellent. -Easy pairing and setup. -Easy charging and great features -Has keys to adjust brightness, volume, and turn backlighting on/off/adjust level (3 backlight levels). -The hinge design is excellent. They hold the iPad securely and have smooth action. -Closing iPad to keyboard places both iPad and keyboard in sleep mode, and opening wakes both. Cons: -None that aren't due to space available in 10.5" iPad Pro footprint or high build quality. -Keyboard is heavy, this is function of the build quality. This thing is machined out of a solid chunk of aluminum just like a MacBook Pro. -Keys are just a little small, but they used all the space available, so they couldn't be any bigger. -It clamps to the edge of the iPad with C-shaped hinges that are awesome, but which will prevent the use of a case to protect your iPad. At first glance I am very impressed. As I use the keyboard, I will update my review, but as it stands, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a friend or family member.

Just bought and set-up the iPad keyboard, and I am overall pleased with it, with some major reservations First off take your iPad with you when you buy. With all of the different versions out there, you need to make sure that it fits correctly. This one only fits the current generation pro The build is solid and is very close to Apple's signature look. Set-up is quick and easy, and the devise performs flawlessly. Exactly as advertised So why the "4" stars? If you have the back of your iPad protected with ANYTHING, forgetaboutit. It will not fit If you are OK with having the back go unprotected and give up any drop protection, then this is for you Otherwise look elsewhere

This is the second Brydge Keyboard that I own ( the first one was for a Surface Pro 4) and this one does not dissappoint. I liked the keyboard for the Surface but did not see the advantage over the Type keyboard. Not the case here, this is a great keyboard for the Ipad Pro 10.5. The keyboard is specifically designed for iOS on the Ipad and has some well thought features that I really like. Like my first Brydge keyboard, this feels like an Apple product. Sleek all aluminum, well machined and solid. Let’s start with the pros , features and benefits - The keyboard has the CMD ( command) function key. You hold it down to bring up a menu of available commands that is app dependent. I found it particulary useful when using Safari. One note, if you press the CMD key and it does not do anything, there is nothing wrong. Remember it is app dependent - the commands will vary according to the app and some have no available commands. The top row of keys is for the backlight controls, brightness, bluetooth, volume , battery level key and lock. All nice features. I partculary liked the brightness control right at your finger tips rather than going to the settings. One problem, most of the keys stopped working mid use of the keyboard. I am not sure if something I did caused this ( I did hold the option/alt key prior) but I had to shut off the keyboard and turn it back on and everything worked again. I was not able to replicate the issue. Dedicated Siri key. Hit it and Siri comes up. Sweet. Close the keyboard and the Ipad goes to sleep. Open it and wakes. As I indicated, this is a very solid product with a good weight to it ( it feels a little over a pound.) Do not be dissuaded by the weight, you need some heft to it for it to be stable. Only adds about 1/2 inch to the Ipad. Key board has good tactile feedback. Keys are small, the keyboard does have a about 3/8 space on each side and enough space above and below for Brydge to enlarge the key size if they want to redesign. It is not too small and you are limited to the size of Ipad Pro 10.5 so I can understand the size for the most part. . Good snug fit of Ipad Pro. Brydge has nailed this design on their products. Just slid the iPad right onto the keyboard. Just top notch. Hinge mechanism is tight and very well built. Opens up flat if you want. Cons and what could make it better Cons - Why does Brydge not put a battery in the keyboard to add capacity? It is easily feasible with the charge port on the side of the Ipad Pro. Also, you could add a bluetooth SSD hd or even a SD card slot to expand memory. Perhaps in the next version. The price point is high for what you are getting ( approximately $130.) Brydge should have one of the two features I mention above at that price. Overall, I recommend this product and give it 4 out 5 stars. If they reduced the price 20% or offered the extended battery life and storage expansion, Brydge would truly have an unbeatabe product. But if you want the highest quality keyboard that is rock solid, look no further than Brydge.

Today there are many keyboards on the market for tablets, but after using this keyboard I can confidently say that Brydge keyboards stand far and above it`s competitors. Firstly, the aesthetic appeal and build quality are exceptional and definitely are what set this keyboard apart from others out there. The material matches that of the iPad Pro perfectly and the keyboard seems as though it is a direct extension of the iPad itself. I`ve used numerous Apple products and their associated accessories over the years and I really can`t stress enough how great the build quality of this keyboard is and it definitely matches the high standards that Apple stresses in their own products. The asthetics are not the only facet that is exceptional with this product as the usability is just as great. While using this keyboard it makes the tablet feel like a miniature version of my MacBook and I now find myself reaching for my iPad more now with this keyboard. The shortcuts and usability keys at the top of the keyboard have proved extremely beneficial and they are another facet that set this keyboard apart from others for me. Overall, I really could not recommend any other keyboard for the iPad or any of their other iterations for other tablets. I just can`t stress enough how great of a product this truly is and though at first the price did seem extreme, but it is definitely worth it and I would not hesitate purchasing this product. This product so closely mimics that of a MacBook that it seems as though I now also have a 10.5 inch MacBook.

I really like this little keyboard. It was super easy to connect to my iPad Pro. I like the backlit keyboard, and keys are pretty easy to type on. It did take me a minute to get used to the smaller keyboard, otherwise, no problems. The iPad is connected to the keyboard by the 2 padded hinges. It provides a nice snug fit. When closed, it looks like a small laptop. Great protection for the face of the iPad. When opened, it wakes up the iPad. My only concern is that, the iPad and keyboard together is kind of heavy and I don't think a cover would work on the back of the iPad with this keyboard, to protect against scratches. Otherwise, this is a great keyboard to use with the iPad pro. I am pretty happy with it.

I’ve been using the Brydge for a couple of days now, I’m using it to write this review. First off it matches my iPad Pro perfectly, it looks fantastic. Second it is well built, and feels like it will hold up to the daily grind. And third, it performs flawlessly. Once the Bluetooth is connected, just pop your iPad into the two small cradles and you are good to go. The keypad comes with a USB cable, a Brydge decal and instruction guide. The guide is nice and has some helpful shortcuts for the keypad. I’m totally happy with this device and heartily recommend it for anyone with an iPad Pro 10.5.

Let's face it, you bought a tablet because you wanted one. Then like other electronics, a keyboard just makes some things easier. So first off the Brydge 10.5 is a wonderful device. Obviously it's made for the 10.5 ipad pro and if you didn't know it, you'd think it was an Apple product. The aluminum body looks great, but it doesn't cover the back of the ipad, which is a minus for me. I like to keep my stuff protected if possible. The Brydge keyboard is nice and slim, but if it's too thick for you, then you should go without or buy the Apple smart keyboard. I like the backlit keys and you can adjust the light to 3 levels. Next the hinges. I read a few reviews, most of them the 12.9 ipad and people complained about not being able to tilt the screen back really far without the unit becoming unstable. I didn't seem to have that issue, maybe I like my screen closer to 90 degrees but I tried a few spots and the hinges seemed good and the unit didn't try and fall backwards. I'd say making the ipad pro act like a macbook with the Brydge keyboard works. I also read that typing on this keyboard was the best, but I didn't find that to be true. I admit, I'm pretty fussy when it comes to typing. I'm old school and type about 45wpm and I have trouble with a lot of keyboards, this one included. It's just a bit cramped for this old dudes fingers. I will say that it's probably the best tablet keyboard typing experience I've had to date. One bummer is the missing smart connector. You connect via bluetooth. Once the two are paired, the keyboard will power up when the unit is opened. The keyboard does power down after non use of 20 minutes and that's a plus. Nothing worse than forgetting to turn it off and when you go to use it, it needs a charge. To wrap it up, if you want to have a keyboard for the ipad pro and you can live with bluetooth connection over the smart connector, I'd go with the Brydge. The backlit keys and the macbook feel is more functional. Also IMO, typing on the Brydge is better than the Apple smart keyboard. Otherwise go without a keyboard and use the tablet as a tablet...but what fun is that!

Not much to say here, except that Brydge continues to make excellent compatible keyboards that look exactly like they belong and came with original product. This one for the Ipad Pro 10.5 is excellent. It's lightweight at just about 20 ozs. Connects perfectly with the Ipad Pro, and includes a nice backlight for use in dim - dark conditions. If you are looking for a perfect way to turn your tablet into a laptop on the go, then feel comfort in knowing this product is for you. Recommended!

The Brydge keyboard is my first tablet keyboard. The moment I put my iPad Pro to the keyboard I felt like I had a laptop. The good things are the home button (so I don’t need to touch the button on my iPad a all), the green light on the caps button, the Siri button, the overall backlit lights, and sturdy feel of the keyboard itself. The room for improvement is how it took great force to dock the iPad onto the hinges and it was not as straight forward connecting by bluetooth but I am a techie and figured it out. The next thing I would ask for is for a case to fit the keyboard and iPad when they are docked together.

    Almost perfect

Brydge's iPad Pro keyboards feel very durable, and perfectly match the iPad Pro finish. The fit and finish of this keyboard really feels like an Apple-made accessory. The weight balances out the iPad perfectly, and it felt stable and solid to type on. The rubber-lined hinges won't mar the iPad, and it's as easy to put the iPad in as it is to take it back out. The keyboard has all the iPad-native shortcuts keys you'd expect. Of course, it has some downsides - but no more than any other tablet keyboard. The keyboard is space-constrained by the iPad's size, and uses it well, but it's not full-size layout and takes some adjustment. Some of the keys (mostly larger, non-letter keys) also seem to require being hit at just the right angle and with enough force. I got used to this (or maybe the key mechanisms became more "broken-in") but I still have a missed keystroke or two every so often. It does not support rear cases/shells for the iPad, so you may need to find a slip-style case that accommodates both if you're worried about scratching the back. The new "swipe-from-bottom" gesture to access the dock on iOS 11 is a bit harder to perform, though I found the dedicated "home" key (where Esc traditionally would be) to be just as effective to use. One notable aspect is that it uses a Bluetooth connection rather than taking advantage of the iPad Pro accessory connector. The Bluetooth works fine, but it would have been amazing if the iPad and keyboard could share battery life (and charge together). If Brydge finds a way to make a "wired" version for the accessory connector, it would be a standout feature. For all these minor complaints though, I think the superb quality and overall design still makes this a perfect companion for the iPad Pro 10.5 for anyone that expects to spend a significant amount of time entering text.

I was a little skeptical of this keyboard at first because I had never heard of the brand before. However I was very surprised by how well built an sturdy it really is. The color an aluminum finish match the iPad perfectly. Out of the box it was pretty simple to set up. The one thing I love about it when compared to many other keyboards is that it makes the iPad feel just like the laptop. It opens and closes just like one and allows for use on your lap just a it should. The key travel is decent. I does feel a little cramped but is very easy to type on regardless. My two complaints are that it does not allow you to put a case on the back of the iPad or protection. The way it attaches to the iPad leaves little room for even a glass screen protector. My second complaint is that right after I took it out of the box and typed on it for a couple minutes the “delete” key stopped working properly. It is squeezing and only registers a press sometimes. I am not sure if the rest of the keys will start to do this or not at this time.

Great for typing but not if you use your iPad iOS

If you use your iPad for word, excel or your primary function is to type, then I would buy this keyboard. I like the travel on the keyboard, it is a nice distance to press down. The keys do not always work and if I type as fast as I do on an Apple keyboard, the keys do not always register. It is not as accurate as a regular keyboard. There are some great short cuts. When you hit the command button and wait for a second, all of the command short cuts appear on the screen for the various apps you are using. You can control brightness, volume, music a key to go back to the home screen. Lots of things to make your typing experience easier and faster. If you primarily use your iPad as a tablet, you swipe on the screen to navigate on the iPad, you love the gestures of iOS 11 and you want to protect the back of the iPad do not buy this. When the keyboard and the iPad line up, it make it very difficult to swipe from the bottom to access your dock and to switch between apps. The keyboard does not swivel all the way back so if you want to view the iPad in Portrait mode the keyboard now makes the iPad twice as wide. As for protection, the keyboard protects the screen well when closed but I had a hard time connecting it to the iPad with the glass screen protector I had on my iPad. I carry my iPad in a front and back cover and when I attach the keyboard, I have to take the case off and now the back of my iPad is not protected.

I’ve bought many Brydge keyboards and before the 10.5, have had great experiences with the product. Not so with the 10.5, unfortunately. There are several glitches with the 10.5: keys don’t always function so typing is a problem, pairing is spotty—sometimes it pairs, sometimes it doesn’t and you have to re-pair so not seamless like previous keyboards, and the battery life is impaired. My last charge lasted for less than 2 weeks and re-charged yesterday morning and already at 79%. I’d buy the insurance for sure.
