This product fit my need perfectly-Four-4K inputs and one output with separate ARC hdmi output (for my surround stereo)
Great remote, easy to use but I still feel the $20/year “subscription” is a bit of a reach... but I love the intuitive results!!
It works Beatifully with my Tivo box for cable, AppleTV for movies and ... LG OLED to make it all Beautiful.
Bravo!!!

Works great. Turned 3-4 remotes into one. I was worried there would be some video loss. But everything is looking good on all devices plugged into the Caavo. Sound quality is also not lost either. My Polk soundbar was not compatible with the Caavo but it has some sensors that came with the Caavo that let me point at the soundbar and use. Seems the set is updating and being tweaked constantly. Which makes me feel that feedback to them would be heard. Small and seamless with my small system of gadgets.

The Marriage Savior

That’s what they should call Caavo, The Marriage Savior. It’s awesome, got it on preorder, fast shipping from Best Buy. Setup takes some time and effort but don’t let it deter you, it’s worth it.
Caavo puts the Harmony hub and remote I was using up until now to shame. Just like they say, you plug in your home theater device including streamers, video game systems, cable boxes, etc. and Caavo reads and pulls information off of them. I’ve got my Apple TV, PS4, and Eco Dot synced up. In comparison to the Harmony I was using Caavo is faster, easier to setup, doesn’t require you to switch components, works every time you use it, and truly is a universal option due its ability to search across anything you have plugged into it and any app you are signed into. It’s nuts.
In regards to The Marriage Savior, I knew I had a winner after I had set it up and told my wife to “Tell the Caavo remote what you want to watch.” She looked at me like I was insane, picked up the remote and said, “Watch Harry Potter” and boom, results from HBO Now, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, DirecTV, our free trial of Play Station Vue, and YouTube showed up. She was shocked. I couldn’t be happier. The logical response here was, “Now who’s insane?” But of course I want to stay married so I just smiled and thanked the Caavo gods for creating The Marriage Savior.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone who owns a TV. You really can’t go wrong for the price. The time it saves is worth it.

This device PAY WALLS you. From all the research and even some of the reviews I had read I was under the impression I had 45 days to try the features then if I liked them I could proceed to purchase the subscription for this device which to save others the trouble is $3.99/mo $39.99/yr & $129 lifetime which you HAVE to create an account just to see all these prices. Nowhere on the site could I find the lifetime pricing without creating an account. Also this device requires you to enter your credit card info right from the start just to use it. I then have to cancel my subscription if I DON'T want the extra features. Hey caavo If you really want to push that the service pricing is required rather than optional why don't you make it a prompt at the register day of purchase instead of me having to make an account, enter my card info just to find out pricing then cancel it all if I just to use this device as the fancy hdmi switch it is? For example Office 365 has you swipe a card day of purchase for auto-renew or you can just buy a lifetime version of the software. Then it has you create a Microsoft account. Caavo please learn from this. Have registers give customers the option for auto-renew/lifetime day of purchase then swipe a card. If I had known day of purchase the pricing for the device plans rather than getting it home finding out I can't even use the device without the hassle of punching in my card info then I probably wouldn't be here writing this review right now. It just feels too much like a bait/switch. Had I known upfront these prices I probably would have saved up, got the lifetime, and enjoyed it for what it is. But instead I'm returning it. Thanks Caavo.

We're sorry that it wasn't clear that a service plan would be required to get the most out of your Control Center. You are correct that a service plan isn't required to use your Control Center, but we give every customer a free 45 day trial to ensure they find it valuable before paying for the service plan. I have Nvida Shield, FireTv, Roku, & AppleTv streaming devices. Caavo manages them all with finesse and ease. Caavo is responsive. Using voice search is A+. It converts my speech correctly. The remote is simple and easy to navigate no matter the streaming device. I no longer need any of the remotes for my streaming devices. Caavo is very useful as a component of my home theatre setup. I have great picture quality and sound but I think, I don't understand why, the pic and audio is slightly enhanced for all streaming devices. Because Caavo has 4 hdmi inputs, it has freed up 4 hdmi connections on my home theatre receiver. I have Logitech Harmony Elite Remote which is good. Caavo is easier to setup and using it requires fewer steps. Caavo is an excellent, excellent, product. I'm very pleased and would not hesitate to recommend.

Thank you very much. Your streaming devices are intelligent devices that communicate well and thus control center can interact with them seamlessly for the best possible experience. As you likely realized during setup, control center actually communicates with devices rather than stringing together programmed codes/macros. This is why we can deeplink into many of the apps on these devices for voice searching and launching content. Thanks for being a fan!

Bought this as a gift for my wife to replace a cheap universal remote and is used on our main living room tv. We do not subscribe to any streaming services, just cable, so this is used primarily as an hdmi switch for cable, blu ray, and a game console. The remote works the first time, every time, even through a cabinet where it sits (my primary reason for the purchase). She loves the voice control and can get help finding the remote through Google Home when my son takes it into other rooms of the house. The only drawback is that a subscription service is required to operate the device.

Thank you so much for the review and we are glad that control center has helped make your TV watching experience better. The service plan is required for many of the features to be enabled like voice searching, the "watch list" features, and interaction with Alexa/Google. If you want to just use control center as a universal remote to manually switch from device to device, then the service plan is not required. Upon initial setup, everyone gets a free 45 day trial period of the service plan and all the enabled features.

I was highly skeptical of the product when I first saw what it claimed to do. Our house struggles with using multiple remotes so I thought I give it a chance, fully expecting that I would probably return it. I did have to reach out to a support person via online chat (which was very convenient) to get my new Fire TV4k setup, but other than that, it was somewhat easy for a technically inclined person.
It's been setup for about 10 days now and I'm happy to say it proved me wrong and delivers on what it claims to do. I've put away the other remotes and it feels great!
My Caavo setup: LG Oled TV, Amazon Fire Stick 4k, Xbox One, Dish Network & Apple TV. Also have an LG Soundbar directly plugged in via optical cable into the tv and the Caavo remote controls the volume just fine.

I never write reviews but I am making an exception for this product. I admit that I have a tech addiction (do I really need an apple TV, roku and Amazon Fire on every TV I own) but this product is a must have. It really does everything that it claims to do...I could get rid of every remote that I have (goodbye all of my Harmony remotes) and just use this. The user interface and setup is one of the most elegant that I have seen and I had everything running in about 15 minutes. The reason that I didn't give it 4 stars is that I hated the fact that you couldn't finish the setup until you signed up for one of their service plans (even though the cheapest is only $1.99 a month and you can cancel in the first 45 days). I will try the service plan out for a month but will attempt to cancel if I don't think that it adds any value. BTW was a great price on the deal of the day last week, I only wish I had bought a few more at that price...hopefully it will go on sale again.

We needed a HDMI switch and were thinking of purchasing one of those inexpensive americhinese ones, but were doubtful of their quality. Enter Caavo. For 60$ this is a great buy, and if you (like in our case) have a 30$ BB giftcard laying around doing nothing, well then... that makes Caavo a must, no brainer buy. We're not particularly interested in Caavo's voice search across platforms and deep linking capabilities, but are currently running a 45 day free trial of the service just to see how it works. Aaaaand... it works. For now.
HDMI switching is our main focus, and when it comes to switching between inputs, Caavo does not disappoint. It's fast, it does what it claims it does, build quality is decent and most importantly, for 60 (or less) $ it is quite inexpensive. The remote control has a sensor and it activates upon detecting a movement (this will help with battery life, I presume) and some of the buttons are capacitive, which is a nice feature. Also, you can use the remote to control devices connected to Caavo. In our case, a Roku stick and Xbox One S. Watching Netflix on Roku, but want to switch to Xbox One S and check your messages? No problem. Switch the input and use the same remote to navigate Xbox's GUI/menu. Brilliant! The only con when it comes to the remote control is the fact that the buttons are not backlit, but I guess the capacitive feature is there to help you with finding the right button in a darkened room.
If there are any other cons it would be the fact that the box and the remote are made out of shiny, glossy plastic which makes them both fingerprint and dust magnets. It's mind boggling why manufacturers keep using glossy plastic on their products, when it always and without exception makes the product a fingerprint and dust turbo-mega magnet. Also, wish there were some customization options (for instance, replacing the default icons/symbols for inputs) or some GUI skins, but those are some minor complaints. We've also noticed that the right top of the device gets a bit warm(ish), just above HDMI1 and HDMI2 ports, but I guess that's to be expected. Hopefully it does not affect the device's performance.
All in all, we highly recommend this device. Especially it it's on sale. You won't regret it.

..worked great once the setup was complete. I have the FiOS box, Nvidia shield and a Wii U connected and so far it plays friendly with all 3. Also like the added voice search, so, so far so good. Software is a little cumbersome and takes a little long to configure but works well, hence the reason for the 4 stars.

The Caavo - 4-port HDMI Switch was the all in one solution I was looking for. After researching various universal remotes with a much higher price tag, I decided to make this purchase. Connected to the Caavo is a LG Smart TV, Bose SoundTouch 300 sound bar and bass module, Apple TV 4K and Amazon Fire Cube and DirecTV genie. The setup and connection to the devices was seamless. The only reason I did not give this product 5 stars is the preference to have a number pad to select the channel I want to view. While you can setup your favorite channels, its more of a user preference. While this product offers a pay as you go subscription or lifetime subscription, my suggestion would be to go with the lifetime subscription. Even with the price of the lifetime subscription this product will cost less than a decent universal remote and will definitely outperform them.

Very underrated product. Designed to be a search aggregator with voice support. Or you can use it as a simple universal remote and multi HDMI switcher that supports HDR. Depending on content it can sometimes get funky or out of wack but I suspect that is the nature of the HDMI handshake beast. I owned this a while before I ended up using it and even paid for lifetime service plan. I use it every day. Also makes the AppleTV bearable because you don't have to use that terrible remote but use the Caavo one :)

I've been using the Caavo for about 2 months or so. Let's start with the pros:
- The voice search to find programs across devices and apps keeps me hooked. It really is the best implementation of this functionality. We have an Nvidia Shield TV, a Roku, and Frontier DVR. It switches to the correct app or channel perfectly and quickly. The voice search is fantastic.
- Video and audio quality seem good
- Interface is nice and easy to use. It just makes sense.
Now for the cons:
- The remote is a cheap plastic toy that has to constantly have its batteries replaced. A rechargable remote would have been nice.
- It doesn't control my Samsung TV or soundbar without using the IR blaster. This is the fatal flaw I mentioned. The Caavo sits behind our TV, which is over the fireplace on a moveable mount. We have nowhere to put the IR blaster for it to work, therefore we have to use a separate remote to control volume. This defeats the purpose of the "Universal Remote" feature.
- The black plastic scratches easily. It has been sitting behind our TV and simple dusting has caused very obvious micro scratches on the finish.
Overall, I'm impressed. I'm hoping there is some improvement to the remote (maybe allow purchase of an upgrade?) as well as upgrade to enable TV control via IP or HDMI. I hate having to use two remotes on my universal remote system.
I'm going to stuck with it for a while, mostly for the voice search.

I got this for 19.99 and its my purchase of the year so far as far as how satisfied I am with it. I had a clunky logitech harmony hub and a logitech 700 with an HDMI switch that worked on IR so it could be controller with the harmony remote/hub I had working with my Amazon Alexa....sometimes...then along came Cavvo.
I bought the caavo and I am not looking back. This thing works flawlessly. Upon hookup the caavo reads the devices connected to it via HDMI and sets them up to work automatically, a few steps may be need on the devices themselves (PS4, TV power settings) but its all explained during setup. I have a TCL Roku TV and the Caavo essentially replaces the home screen of the Roku TV and makes almost everything accessible right from the Caavo UI. I have replaced my Alexa's with Nest speakers and voice commands work great. Im sure they would work the same with the amazon products as well. On to the remote....
The remote is basic and that is the beauty of it...depending on the device you are using the buttons on the caavo adjust to that....it works and works well.
There is a subscription service that gives you a deep dive search feature with apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, your personal Plex server....not useful to some but for those with large digital libraries and a lot of subscription video services it comes in handy. I got it for 1.99 a month by contacting Caavo support which is the price listed on the box I got however the service is now 3.99 I believe.

OK - so I really do like this box. I am currently controlling my entertainment center with a Harmony Ultimate Home remote and Harmony Hub. Unfortunately sometimes the hub will lose wi-fi connectivity (it is not all it's fault it happens not to be in the greatest location of the house) and at other times it just seems to not be responsive when pushing a remote key. However, it integrates with everything. The Caavo is wonderful that it has a wired ethernet port (listening Logitech?) so I don't have connectivity issues and its responsiveness is exceptional (the HDMI-CEC control does the trick). It was very easy to set up - I have a very simple setup which includes an LG TV, Sony AVR and a Roku Ultra. I also have a Tablo 4 tuner unit for OTA reception (I am a cord cutter) which I access through the Roku. I subscribe to Netflix, Amazon, AcornTV and Hulu. Why I docked the Caavo one star? It really comes down to much potential but it's not all the way there in integrating apps and capabilities wrt its search capabilities. For example, Caavo cannot tell me what is playing on AcornTV in its search capability. It can't access the OTA recordings I have made in Tablo in its search. I hope that as the product matures there will be additional apps supported. Finally, where the Harmony shines above the Caavo is that it is not video driven in its control capabilities. I have a Amazon Echo that I have linked with the Sony AVR via bluetooth. I can easily turn on the Sony AVR and connect it the Echo with a command from the Harmony (or through voice command with the Echo). Since the Caavo is driven solely by HDMI input I cannot see how it supports this type of operation. However, I really do love the responsiveness and the simplicity of the Caavo remote. I am hopeful that the app support in searching expands (afterall we are paying Caavo for being able to search) and that there is some thought given to non-video entertainment control. Much potential, almost there.

I was using the harmony before Caavo and setting up harmony to work with devices was not easy but this with this Caavo, you don’t have to do anything just plug your devices to the Caavo HDMI ports and that’s and plug in Caavo to your TVs HDMI port and that’s it. Caavo will program everything for you.
But bad thing is they charge you to use the voice search and for some other functions it’s 1.99/Month or 59.99 for life time. But after 45 day trial if you don’t want to use the voice search just cancel the subscription plan and you still be able to use it as a universal remote but just without the voice control and a suggestion list from Caavo.
Just think of it as a 4 port HDMI auto switch box with universal remote built in, totally worth it.

Owned it for 1 week. Deal was too good to pass up.
I’ve got a Marantz AVR, Sony 900E, XBox One X, Fire TV and DirecTV box connected to this.
My goal was to replace the Harmony remote that confuses my wife and kids. So far, it is working good. Caavo will switch between components just fine with no hiccup. It even helped to speed up the horribly slow navigation of my DTV box.
Kids are getting the hang of it, by talking into the built in remote mic to ‘Watch TV’ or ‘Watch XBox’ or etc.
I would give it 4 stars, but it seems to lose connectivity or become unresponsive every few days. Also, today I realized that it is not passing DTS audio from a source.
Bottom- line: I’m impressed...very. I have literally moved all of my remotes into a drawer, and have only grabbed my Sony TV remote to use the Smart Apps - as Caavo does not yet recognize Smart TV apps.
Good concept, hope they continue to add functionality. Frankly, they better as the subscription fee for their service to use this device is $20/year or $50/lifetime.
I’m paying!...therefore fix it and make my experience better.

Great Concept And For The Most Part Works

For the Most Part this Smart, Voice Controlled, switchbox works great, and kicks Logitech Harmony to the curb. The exceptions are:
1. Still buggy, sometimes doesn’t respond correctly, and sometimes have to do a power reboot, just to get it “unstuck”;
2. List of recognized Devices is lacking. Doesn’t even support Pioneer Brand Receivers, for God Sake;
3. Their new marketing reduced the price from over $100 to $59.99 but charges you a whopping $4 a month to use the Smart voice control features. Problem is, this is a new Company with a new product. If the product doesn’t fly and the Company folds, you are stuck with a useless $60 box. I would rather pay more money for a self contained box with features and not be stuck with a cloud subscription, that relays on the Company’s Success, to make it work. I think this marketing strategy was stupid, I’ll conceived, and will kill potential sales.

I picked this up after some review watching on YouTube and rigorous internet scouring. I was a bit tentative at some of the reviews out there. Most talk of a complex setup process and are unclear on exactly how this functions. I'm not sure what device they are reviewing, this thing is fantastic.
The setup does take some time, but is not complex in any way and the time it does take is well spent as a behind the scenes tutorial that has you comfortable with the operation immediately upon completion. I have been a harmony fan for years and I have the Ultimate with the Hub in my main theater setup. Since installing the Caavo, I have not touched the Harmony. Gone are the many macros, actions and device menus, the Caavo gets all of the functionality you need with a simple button press.
There is also a separate button for AVR power which is an excellent feature as I live in AZ and leaving my Onkyo powered all day would literally turn my family room into an oven. The ability to quickly power ig on and off and immediately have the correct volume control on the Caavo remote is a welcome function.
Finally, as a previous reviewer has stated, my wife can watch whatever she wants and my kids can switch to their PS4 without a hitch. No more workday texts for troubleshooting pr logging in to my home security cameras to see what options she's pushing on the TV (yes, this actually happened.)
If you have multiple devices like most of us do nowadays (roku, Shield TV, Fire TV, Apple TV, Whatever TV,) you would be well served picking one of these up.

I have used the Harmony remotes for years with mixed results, but this is the real deal. Why? Because it works every time. I have a Samsung TV, Sony soundbar, Xfinity box, Apple TV, FireTV and Blueray DVD. You just connect them all via HDMI to the Caavo, connect the Caavo out to the TV HDMI and life is so good. You can control every device automatically from the Caavo remote. Comes with detailed instructions for various setups. Best of all, you can get a low cost subscription that pushes content suggestions to you and recognizes the saved program queue in Xfinity. I got it on sale, but even at full price, it rocks. Oh, and best of all, my wife can now navigate to programs on all the connected sources. Before Caavo, she was lost. It has a voice option, too. So why are you still sitting there! Go buy it!
