Awesome looking dishwasher and the two drawers makes cleaning small loads convenient. Drying function is tremendous - glassware sparkles. The drawbacks are: 1) Loading anything other than dishes is difficult because the tines on the racks are too close together for bowls and pans. 2) Powdered detergent is recommended, and liquids / gels cannot be used. We ended up using pods, which is fine. However, a bulk dispenser for liquids would be nice. 3) Mounting the dishwasher to the cabinets was very cumbersome - using a screwdriver for the screw locations is nearly impossible.

I Love love love this dishwasher. It’s quiet has lots of settings and cleans and drys great. As someone who really didn’t use a dishwasher all that much I find myself using this all the time because of the small load ability.

The first one was DOA but Best Buy took care of me and I was overall happy with the installation experience. The dishwasher itself is nice to look at and I actually kind of like loading the drawers instead of one dishwasher. I feel like I do dishes more thoughtfully and I end having and easier time loading and emptying it. The only downside is that it's hard to tell if it's running (yes it's very quiet which is a good thing) but there's not indicator light or screen that says it's running or complete and sometimes it just stops on its own totally randomly making me continue it manually which is annoying. Otherwise I'm pleased with it.

I am happy that GE has introduced a dishdrawer model, which is my preferred dishwasher style. Before Cafe, the only option for a drawer-style dishwasher is Fisher and Paykel. I've had two Fisher and Paykel dishwashers for 12 years and I can attest that Cafe is extremely similar in cleaning performance and appearance to the "high end" (and highly unreliable) F&P dishdrawer. Even the cycle sounds are the same! I also think the Cafe is better looking than the F&P. I love how streamlined the panels are (the control buttons are hidden when the drawer is closed) and the Cafe "black" model is more of a soft matte black color. If you prefer the dishdrawer style, I enthusiastically recommend the Cafe. You will save a few hundred dollars for getting pretty much exactly the same dishdrawer as the more expensive F&P dishdrawers.

This was a dishwasher we weren't anticipating to buy, but the layout worked with our new range. The two drawers are good for larger meals and we use the top drawer only, when it's just two of us. Easy to load with multiple storage devices.

I bought this for my mom in Sept 2024; the top drawers are locked and will not open. I had a service call with Jan 2025 and it was determined that it needed a new motherboard and rails. Trip Charge: $114.95, parts included but wait time is a month out. Since they came out the bottom drawer is not opening now.

Love the double drawers , wasn’t sure if it was worth the extra money but it was!!! Super quiet and you can run each drawer separately! Definitely an upgrade.

It is really tricky to install, I hate the foot pedal adjusmets. You cannot adjust them as per instructions after removing the lower drawer because there's no space. The slots for screws for securing on sides are re really tight and at a weird angle. The installation video and instructions states that it is not simple but it has some obvious design flaws that makes the installation really really hard. It took me 5 hours to install it. The other thing I hate is no WiFi. Much cheaper models have WiFi capability and adding that would've made it much simpler to see which drawer is washing, pasuing a cycle and unlocking drawer to open it etc. One more thing, the power cord is super small, hardly 2-3 feet. Having said that, apart from those two issues, I love everything else about this dishwasher. It's versatile, super silent, practical for small families and looks very nice. Its built pretty solid too. Twice the weight of my previous dishwasher. If Café can fix the issues above, I'll be hands doen the best dishwasher.

I love this machine, but there are two things I wish it had. First, it is so quiet, a small visible RED LED would be nice to let you know when the cycle is complete. Secondly, I wish that factory, oak front panels were available like I had on my old dishwasher. See pictures of my old panels leaning up against the stainless fronts which are beautiful, but I would install wooden ones to match my cupboards.

Love this dishwasher! Very quiet and organized! Has multiple compartments that makes it easier to load.

Awesome dishwasher , best one ever I buy , clean and shine my dishes

1st one came very dented. Second one came slightly dented and I just decided to deal with it, the 2 dents were not too notable but still bothered me. I have now had this dishwasher a year and a 1/2 and the stainless right above the bottom drawer is completely discoloring from the heat/steam I would guess, nothing can fix it, looks awful. I am so disappointed.

We went through 3 of these before giving up. The first one was dropped by the delivery guy and while I didn’t see any damage initially, after I completed the install I saw creases around the handles. I returned that dishwasher and drove 3 hours to pick up the second one only to get it home and find that it was also damaged. I repeated the trip and finally got the third one installed. While it is a beautiful unit, it did not clean well, the racks were tight… making it harder to load…. and worst of all the crease around the handle developed after a week of having it. It would appear the the thickness of the stainless steel is paper this and the handle are thick and strong causing it to develop these creases. This is our 3rd cafe product (double oven and kuerig fridge), and we love those products. However, the grade and quality of this cafe product does not live up to the cafe reputation. In the end, we exchanged this dishwasher for the single door cafe dishwasher, and we are having much better luck with that product.

First time with the drawer dishwasher for me- it has its advantages- smaller loads and efficiency but dish placement needs to be just right to maximize the cleaning. The install was easy, and it works quietly and effectively. Plastic instead of stainless interior on a high end item seems wrong, but the drawers are lightweight and easy to work with. Slow delivery time, but GE cafe has a nice look to it and worth the wait.

Would give it 5 stars, if I could work it better...had to download directions-this one is a bit different from any other that I have had....directions are a bit vague-sometimes it does what I think, othere times not. Cleans really well, must use premium detergent. Sooooo quiet!! And beautiful!!

For those who don't know, this is basically a mid range Fisher Paykel knockoff. Cafe and Fisher Paykel are both owned by Haier. With that out of the way, let me just start by saying that this is a good unit, but not perfect by any imagination. Here are a few things I like and dislike about it. Like: 1. The drawer feature is absolutely awesome. It is at a very good height. The upper drawer gets used so much more compare to the bottom one as I don't have to bend over. 2. The DB reading isn't that impressive, but it really is a quiet unit. A lot of times you don't know it is running because it is so quiet. 3. It looks absolutely awesome Cons. 1. At the normal regular setting, it doesn't wash the dishes all that well. I am still playing with the detergent setting, but I see a lot of dirty dishes from this drawer compare to my previous 8 years old unit. I will try to use a higher setting and more detergent and see if it will change. 2. The control kind of sucks. Half the time it just beeps and you really don't know what is going on. I wish they made it easier. 3. Plastic tub, yuck!

Dishwasher is nice, looks good. The two drawers are different but works efficiently. Cleaning is very good so far. We chose this drawer model instead of the model with door because door could not fully open with our new Cafe double oven. The door would hit the oven handle. A bit pricey but looks very good. Easy to use. A little learning curve at beginning. Installation was well done with no issues.

Really enjoying the double drawer. We don’t have a lot to wash and having the option to do smaller loads are great. It’s easy to adjust the inside to wash what we need.

I bought this dishwasher as an open box sale. Best Buy offered the best deal. They were even able schedule delivery, installation and haul away. During the installation, their techs were very professional and did the following: haul away of my old dishwasher, change airgap, change water gasket (at an extra cost due to corrosion) and install the new dishwasher. This dishwasher is a major upgrade from my old one that came with the house. Very quiet, dries very well, I love the knock open feature to add things you forgot during a cycle, and the drawer system. There is plenty if space and you can run both at the same time or just one.
