Based on price alone, the Canon Color imageClass MF628Cw ($249) is an obvious candidate if you need a color laser multifunction printer (MFP) for your micro office or for personal use and want one that can print, scan, copy, and fax. It's a little larger than most MFPs aimed primarily at micro offices, which may force you to look elsewhere if space is tight. But if you have enough room in your office, it can be worth a look.

I received it promptly and was delivered in excellent condition. It is quite heavy, and it is best handled by two people. The installation was easy if you follow the installation guide carefully. I have an iMac computer, and the disc with the software is for a PC. The Canon USA website allows you to download the software for the MAC and the installation of the software was easy. Connecting to my network was as simple as it can get. It was all automatic. I was blown away by the print quality and found the speed of sending files and printing faster than my Brother laser printer had been.It is relatively quiet and straightforward to use. The scanning software is easy to use and the scanning accurate. I haven't tried to print envelopes as yet, but my Brother printer always wrinkled the corner of the containers. I downloaded the printer manually, and it is quite extensive, so I just keep it as a file.I did have to contact Canon Support regarding a warranty card as it was not included in the package (the warranty is three years) so they registered the printer with the phone call. One word of warning, when I googled Canon support, many sites have listed that sound like they are part of Canon. They want to charge for their service. Make sure you go to Canon USA site for downloads or help.

This printer was a purchase for my home office. The printer works extremely well and the features are simply exactly what we needed. As with most printers, setup can be a bit of a pain getting it on your wireless network since you're either connecting via an app to the device to configure it from your computer OR using the touchscreen on the printer itself. Once it's been connected to the network, it generally is a workhorse and duplexing was the main consideration for purchasing the printer. What we dislike is that it will often show an error on the touchscreen requiring me to power cycle the printer. This happens approximately once a week. It's a minor annoyance which dropped it a star on my review. Other than that, if you're looking for a decent home printer and are sick of purchasing inkjets that last a single year, this is a good printer for you.

i had 2 choices inkjet or laser. i do not print much so the ink would eventually dry and cause a clogged head headache and wasted ink. so i went with the lesser of the 2 evils, a cannon MFC laser. i looked at several other units such as the HP line and brother. the brother best buy sells was not in stock so i chose this canon model. printing is clear and quiet, it's a laser so no smearing. scanning is simple one touch although i have to tinker with the dual sided scanning, NOTE the 632 model does NOT support duplex scanning. initial setup was a bit confusing but i got it going in about an hour. canon has detailed support on how to enable the WIFI feature. to avoid the machine from dropping off the network when it goes into sleep, i decided to dedicate an ip address to it in my network vs. hunting it down. i SERIOUSLY recommend this. especially in windows 10! why i chose this model. the price of replacement CANON toners was the lowest at around $72 per unit for standard cartridges. others were near $100 to $120+. like many others here i try to save money these days but still get a good value for my buck. there is one caveat here i am able to see the printer in linux such as toner levels and that indeed it is online, HOWEVER currently i am not able to print from linux. i will put up an update once i figure this out so stay tuned. final thought, i have no regrets about this purchase. the price was right and the product performs as it should. replacement toner is reasonable and support is a few clicks away. if you are in the market for a laser printer in your windows based office this would the the most economical way to go.

I had the MX870 Cannon Printer for 6 years and it kept giving me errors so I knew it was time to upgrade. The new laser printer is quiet, quick and duplex (printing on both sides) effortlessly. The copies are very clean, color looks great, no paper jams. I would highly recommend this printer after trying 2 other inkjet printers and sending them back because of poor performance. Upgrade to a laser it is worth the extra dollars! Scanning to my computer is a breeze. I do no use the fax feature but it is available.

Printer works great. Love the ease of printing via laptop, surface and mobile all wirelessly via WiFi. Was easy to setup and get going and performs very well. Most printers are a bit noisy so one thing I would change if I could is make it a little quieter but it no worse than any other printer I have used. Prints great quality color or not. Double sided printing is a breeze, scanning, copy etc all great. Yes I would recommend this printer.

I was tired of the bad print quality I had been getting from ink jets and wanted to switch to laser, since I heard they make better prints. Read a lot of reviews, and this one fit the bill. When I saw the great sale Best Buy had on it, I purchased it. Very happy... setup was a breeze and it works wonderfully so far... no complaints.

I am quite pleased with this printer so far after 1 month. After using a non color laser printer for many years I wanted a color laser for some printing jobs and also a printer that I could use remotely from my laptop or iPad. I read the owners manual before I bought the printer and was a little concerned about complications with connecting to my WIFI, but there was no problem as the machine is fairly smart and went through several prompts and required only that I enter my system password. The copy function and scan function work just fine and print quality looks good. I have not printed any photos so I can't rate that part, but I am quite pleased with this printer so far. I haven't used the printer enough to know how long the toner will last and I haven't checked to see if there is a toner saver function as on my old Canon black & white.

I must admit it took me a week or so to get used to my new Canon Printer/All-in-One. Now that I have taken the time to get to know its features, I am very pleased with its speed, quality and versatility. It accommodates a great variety of sizes and consistency of papers, labels, card stock, legal, glossy, etc. This was a good choice for my needs.

We've had several inkjet printers in the past. My biggest beef with all of them is the 1-2 minutes it takes to get ready for the first print. AND, it always seems to take that long to print when you are in a hurry. With this printer, I have my first page in hand within 12 seconds. That is awesome! IT will also shoot out several page documents with amazing speed - easily destroying any inkjet I have ever owned. Printing tables and graphics look fantastic. I know some people like photo printing from this printer. But, photo printing is really subpar -compared to an inkjet. So, I wouldn't recommend it. The scanning is fast. And printing on both sides of the page is also speedy. Overall, this is a great printer. The best I have ever owned.

Installation was very quick and simple and the quality of both, color and black and white prints was excellent. The scanner does a good job with its flatbed and its document feeder. I am very happy with this purchase.

I bought this to replace an inkjet printer for home / small business use. Setup was fairly simple with the included CD. I am running this printer via wireless network and I am able to print wirelessly from my desktop, laptop and phone. Scans can be sent right to the computer from the machine. Printing can be a little slow to get going if the machine has been idle for some time, but once its running its a little faster. You won't get commercial machine speeds but its perfectly fine for home use. The print quality is nice, not quite Photo quality but close, the colors a vibrant but somewhat muted from the original if making a copy. Web and document colors reproduce nicely.

Canon - Color imageCLASS MF632Cdw Wireless Color All-In-One Printer. Purchased for our family as a Daily Deal. Until now, we've always had inkjet printers at home and really considered toner printers a machine solely for businesses. However with two children in high school, printing was becoming a daily event. Most, if not all, homework or essays were printed a few times for proofing. We'd already been researching and comparing cost of machine, ink and average volume each would print. We are so glad we grabbed this up! Honestly think machine will pay for itself in one school calendar year. Yay! Printer is super quiet and lightening fast. Kids print wirelessly, 2-3 pages, front/back and color and it is finished printing before they walk down the hall to computer/desk. I've been so amazed at the quality and speed of this machine. Only wish we'd had purchased sooner! I did not receive any discounts for writing my review. I want anyone who reads this to know that because I like to see that disclosure when I read reviews. A little peace of mind. I do hope this review helps you make a decision and either way, hope your find what you need to save money too.

This is a great printer! I'd been looking for a color laser for quite some time, waiting for a good sale. This one was listed on Deal of the Day for $175 and I grabbed it. Best deal ever! Easy to set up and use, print quality is terrific, duplex too (part of my must-have list). Wireless works flawlessly. Be aware, it is large, so be sure to have space for it. All in all, I'm quite happy with my purchase.

I was looking to replace a few year old canon monochrome laser printer and came across this over the holidays on sale. What a great find. It's footprint is a bit larger than I anticipated, but it performs like a champ. Easy to setup and get connected to our home network. Print is crisp and clear. Now with Air Print capability! Excellent alternative to HP.
