Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the beautiful reproduction and ease of operation of the Color imageCLASS MF634Cdw Wireless Color All-In-One Printer. They find it very easy to set up and appreciate the great price point for a home office laser printer. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the printer's wireless capabilities, specifically the lack of IPv6 support which prevents wireless scanning, and the small size of the paper tray.

Overall this printer has performed quite well for what we normally use our printer for. The color reproduction is good, without being outstanding (compared to other laser printers)and the blacks/texts are excellent. WE print a fair amount of postage and text documentation and it rarely has any issues or performance problems thus far. On could use some improvement side, the wireless interface was not difficult for us, but for novices might be a little difficult to set up correctly. The physical size of the printer is on the medium-to large size (if that wasn't evident in the photos), The cost of replacement color toner is higher compared to some other competitors, make sure you research that prior to making any printer purchase to determine hidden additional costs. While the paper capacity isn't small, we feel it could have been bigger given its overall size, again compared to its competitors.

    Excellent All-in-One Printer

I bought this to supplement my ink jet printer so that I could print several pages and make many copies without fear of using all the ink or with the ink having dried up. This printer totally fulfills this role, especially for copying as it will do both sides of a page in a single pass. The copies are so good it is often difficult to tell which is the original and which is the copy. I have been using it for a month and the toner levels are still at 100%. If I had used my ink jet, I would probably have half emptied a set of cartridges. It will be expensive to replace the toner, however, but I figure that will be a long way off. Another nice feature is that it doesn’t have a separate drum cartridge as laser printers used to, which were always expensive to replace. This function has been incorporated in the toner cartridges. The printer is fairly large, so I located it in a closet and ran an Ethernet cable to it to speed up printing, although it will work wirelessly. The control panel is self-explanatory and easy to use. The remote portal (accessed from a web browser) is more business oriented: this is not a problem except that it requires a password for access. In summary, this printer does exactly what I want, and I am very pleased with it.

I was looking for an affordable color laser printer that would be able to print color images and photos for documents. We didn’t need to print actual photos on photo paper, but wanted decent color and sharpness of details for documents w images. This printer does all of that! We do have to occasionally power off and on the printer (maybe to clear the cache?) but it takes no real time to do that so we don’t mind. Very happy w this purchase, would recommend to others.

Waited for this to go on sale and amazed at the fluctuation in price. When finally neared the price I wished purchased in a flash. Reviews were good, so expected good product for the cost and have not been disappointed. Clean operation, easy pairing with home network, nice display screen and all the options we could use. Like others reviewers,, particularly at good price which come around if one is patient, can highly recommend this printer. pS surprised at how good the color printing was of a photo used for testing, not bad at all...

Nice printer, small paper tray, bad software

While the printer and scanner do work like they should, the software designed to go with this device hinders the usability. I'd like to recommend it but often times have to troubleshoot connectivity to the scanner. The paper tray is a little small and toner is expensive but it is a laser and produces accurate type and decent photos. The manual feed tray handles envelopes well but it is slow to print them.

I've had this printer for a little over a year now and I can honestly say I LUV IT!! Pros: Network connect options, Wireless connect options, Auto two-sided printing, Durable (so far), Good color saturation, Decent print speeds, STILL USING ORIGINAL TONER CARTRIDGES THAT CAME WITH PRINTER... Cons: Receive message every once in a while to power off and back on.

Okay, nothing is perfect. The setup took some effort but, once accomplished, the device works very well. Copy, scan and print works flawlessly. The fax was not activated.

This laser printer is fantastic! Prints very fast even from the sleep mode. Custom print settings for different documents is a real plus; you don't have to reset settings before each job. And the double sided scanning/copier functions are really great.

It has very good features such as duplex printing and scanning. Color printing speed was amazing and quality was beyond my expectations. Toner price was reasonable when I did my research. I love it!

Have a Brother monochrome for everyday office work, But wanted color for mailings and mockups. Reviews were most favorable for Canon. In terms of continued performance without breakdown and quality of output. Waited for best price and finally bought one. And, after nearly a month of use couldn’t ask for more. Initial trouble because black cartridge was dislocated in shipping, but once that was remedied, works like a charm...fast, terrific clean print and surprisingly good color. Has many bells and whistles...scanning to memory stick, copying and sending, duplex printing and much more. Wouldn’t trade the Brother monochrome which has been reliable, but for color the Canon is a better choice based on quality of output, features, and reliability. Ink is expensive, but longer life evens the expense in the end. Worth a close look...

Purchased this item online. It ended up being much bigger than anticipated, however, it works great! Definitely recommend if you are trying to steer clear of ink printers.

I love my Canon ImageClass printer. I finally cut the cord with ink jet printers. I don't print very often so moving to a laser printer was a good choice for me. I'm glad I chose a color laser printer as well. It was a little more expensive but overall I think what I paid for this color laser printer was very reasonable.

I purchased this unit to replace an Epson ink-jet based system, and and (so far) very pleased with the unit. Good color prints, duplex scanning and printing. Two shortcomings: it can't print on Avery glossy laser business cards (the cards break apart when feeding from both the manual tray and the standard tray) and the paper tray is relatively small (e.g. capacity wise). Other than that, it's a pretty solid unit. (I paid $249 on sale).

I like what this unit can do. Unfortunately, getting it to do what it says it can do it so difficult that I gave up. If I want to scan something, I'd like to be able to use the touch screen and have the scan go to my computer or to the email address that I select. This is supposed to be possible, but my efforts to achieve this have failed and I'm done trying. I have to use some software on my computer to scan and save the scan and then attach to an email I sent from my computer in the usual way. First world problem to be sure, but disappointing nonetheless.
