Canon 6D is a all around great camera!

I love this camera, it is the best low light camera I have ever used. The full frame gets everything into the shot and it is really great for automotive as well as portraits. Now I see why my friends have switched from Nikon to Canon. It is lighter, with full frame, weather sealed and really high qualty pictures. The HDR capabilities are really amazing too! Easy to capture my one year old son, no matter what the light condition. Have used in studio and can finally shot without a strob when ever I feel like it.
Movie mode is really amazing, especially with the f4 depth of field with the 24-105 lens that comes with it. Continually adjust ISO in movie mode to keep lighting perfect. Best digital stills and best movie camera that I have ever bought and very easy to use!!!

Great Entry Level Full Frame

I needed a full frame for all the low light photography I do. It has great high ISO performance and handles extremely well. For a full frame, it's also very light. Image quality is also great; never once had a problem with it. If you just want to take pictures, this is a great choice. My favorite feature is the center focus point which can focus down to -3ev: it's great; you can focus is almost no light.
Qualms:
-There's only 1 SD card slot. I would've liked 2 but that's just because I shoot so much
-There aren't that many autofocus points but that's not really a problem for me. I use the center point or manually focus.
-Usb tethering only works when WiFi is off. Wish it would detect one or the other; just a minor thing.

I HAVE ONLY HAD THE 6D FOR A MONTH - JUST DID A CHRISTENING WITH IT. THE CAMERA WAS FANTASTIC IN THE LOW LIGHT AT THE CHURCH AND RECEPTION. I GOT OVER 200 PHOTOS WITHOUT NEEDING A FLASH - ALL CLEAR AND SHARP - PROPERLY EXPOSED - GREAT DETAIL DETAIL.I HARDLY USED MY FLASH ATTACHMENT AND COULD NOT SEE ANY REAL DIFFERENCE. THE 6D WITH THE 24-105 L ZOOM LENS IS A GREAT COMBINATION FOR INDOOR EVENTS - WEDDINGS, COMMUNIONS, PARTIES, ETC. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PRO CAMERA THAT TAKES GREAT PHOTOS IN ANY LIGHT. NICE SHARP PHOTOS UP TO 25000 ISO WITH VIRTUALLY NO NOISE. THIS CAMERA MEETS MY EXPECTATIONS AND IS BETTER FOR INDOOR WORK THAN MY 60D - WHICH IS ALSO A GREAT ALL AROUND CAMERA.

Best DSLR Camera I Ever Bought!!!

This is by far the best DSLR camera I have ever bought. My only suggestion to someone looking to purchase this camera and take photos from a distance, you may want to purchase the body only and then buy the corresponding lense you want (I would recommend 70-200mm f/2.8L telephoto lens). The lens this kit comes with is phenomenal and it takes immaculate photos. I used this camera during my entire trip to Barcelona, Spain, France, Florence, Rome and Naples, Italy. I plan on using this camera for the next 10 years since the L lenses are top notch and continue to be timeless. Highly recommend this camera for intermediate photographers. It's a great start for beginners if you have the money and you want to start out with a fantastic camera to learn with.

I was looking to upgrade my Canon T4i and considered purchasing either a 6D or a Mark III 5D. After much research I went ahead with the Canon 6D and I couldn't be more pleased. Both cameras have somewhat similar features - and the Mark III 5D does offer more but for what I needed the 6D is perfect. I am a portrait photographer and wanted a better sensor for low light when taking photos outdoors. I have to tell you that I was so amazed at how great my photos were from the first few clicks! This camera does a fantastic job - the quality does not compare to a Rebel! If you are thinking about upgrading --- DO IT!! Plus the GPS and the ability to shoot my photos over to my iPhone are really nice. I can't say enough about how happy I am with my purchase. And the super lens and body package I received from Best Buy really sweetened the deal!! A+++ You won't be disappointed.

This camera is great, especially in low light. I was debating getting a 5DS, but couldn't justify the higher price. Glad I stuck with the 6D.

I love my 6D. Upgraded from a rebel t3i and the difference is outstanding. I can have a high ISO and no grain. I love the lens as well but think the 24-70 would be a better fit. Can't wait to use it more and get new lenses for it!

Works great. I use it for professional pictures for my business and it produces great quality pictures. The auto focus is not as great as my previous camera but really not an issue. The video feature is the best thing about this camera.

Picture quality is great for the price paid. You cannot beat the price for the full frame camera and lens. Lens alone will cost $1,000.
Good for landscapes and low light photography.

Canon 6D; a huge improvement over APC-S!

This is the best camera I have ever had. I have been using an APC-S sensor Canon DSLR and the fist shots were noticeably better. Great ability to shoot in low light as well as sunlight. The camera isa reasonably weight and well balanced and like all Canons, the features are easy to understand and intuitively located. A great camera for sure.

I truly love this camera! I upgraded from a T3i and have nothing but great things to say. The 6D is a very solid camera. I shoot professionally for a lot of reality type programming and freelance music video work, and it has worked way above my expectations. The video quality is identical to 5D Mk III if you ask me. The only difference is the photo aspect which the Mk III is still king.
If you are looking to upgrade from a crop censor to full frame on a budget, the 6D is absolutely the best route to take. I love shooting on a Mk III when I get the chance, but the 6D is pretty darn close to shooting on the same platform. I absolutely love it!

I had done extensive research on this camera before buying it. I was torn between the Sony a7ii and this camera. The L-series lens on this camera is so much better then the kit lens that comes with the a7ii. It's really a great camera for someone who is serious about photography, or just wants great pictures.

Best Buy for Canon Full Frame

I recently upgraded to the Canon 6D from the Canon 70D to take advantage of the full frame sensor. Not only do you get a lot more light in your photos, but it takes better pictures in low light situations and the picture itself is crystal clear!
The reason this camera is a "best buy" is because you get a full-frame camera for a lot less. Still great quality, still great Canon product.

The 6d is an awesome dslr camera. It's ability to take clear pictures in a dark setting is incomparable. The only thing I would change is its ability to auto focus a little clearer.

Im a videographer by trade and My canon 7d failed on me but was still under warranty. I upgraded to this camera and wow the difference is incredible. The 7d was a great camera as well and has a better layout and is more ergonomic but the full frame sensor in this camera makes a huge difference. Excellent in low light and I've been able to capture professional quality images just with the kit lens alone.
As far as photography goes the images are great butied a little slow compared to the 7d. If your looking to use this primarily for video I would say this is a great buy. Since I picked this up and shot with it on a professional production I have since booked 10 gigs just because of the wow factor. Like anything else you still have to know how to light and compose your shots but the camera definitely helps the quality.

I was looking to step up to a full frame camera and went with the 6D and have been happy since. Don't get me wrong I think I could have been just as happy with the D610 but the kit lens with the 6D is really good. The Nikon's 24–85mm f/3.5–4.5 just can't compare to the 24-105 f/2.8 L lens that came with the 6D.
