This is the camera and the best world for those who love photography and film. Lightweight, if you solve the battery issue with a V mount or other battery solution it’s a great camera overall.

I like that it is a hybrid photo and video camera and on the Netflix Approved Camera list. I am still learning how to use it. Many Youtube videos say it doing a white/black balance is easy, but I think it is too many steps--still learning how to do that. Battery life is short but if you are able to plug into continuous power then it's not a problem.

Incredible camera. Data intensive though, so be ready to invest in large capacity SD cards. Definitely has the professional in mind! Does 8K video!!!

This camera is amazing. I was considering the C70 because of its battery life and ND filters but it would be only a video camera. I'm glad I got this. I was able to sell my 6DMk2 for "still" a good price and get a few more accessories with this. The vertical shooter battery grip is a must if you do any kind of video. The battery life is way better when using the grip with 2 "original" Canon batteries. I also got a cheap 100W external USB-C battery and I can shoot video all day with just one charge. When it comes to photos, this camera with a new RF24-105 is amazing compared to my old EF24-105. No comparison. I don't hear the focus in my videos anymore (I do miss the built in GPS to tag my photos when I travel). The picture quality is exceptional. With the EF-RF adapter, I'm still able to use all my old lenses and they work as you would expect being a Canon product. This camera is so much better in low light. I used to have to put on my 50 1.4 to shoot when it got dark. Not anymore. If you do any type of Video, this R5C is superior to the R5. You do not get IBIS but (in my opinion) it's an overrated feature and only works for photos, not video. The IBIS of the R5 and Sony cameras I tried gets all wobbly when shooting video. Just get a good lens with internal stabilization. The digital stabilizer is surprisingly good but I don't use it enough to compare that vs IBIS. I found the stabilization of FCPX, Motion or After Effects to work better. It DOES NOT overheat. I thought dust and rain would be an issue because of the fan in the back, but it's not. I still use it like I did my old 5dMk2. Shoot at the beach, no problem. In the snow or desert, It just works. I got caught in the rain a few times, again, no problem. This travels everywhere with me. It doesn't feel any smaller or bigger than my 6DMk2. It's just right. After shooting DSLR for years the only thing I miss is the analog viewfinder. I have yet to find a camera that has a 5-star viewfinder, however this one is amongst the best I've tested. The color is pretty good but can be fine tuned unlike other cameras where the image is just blue and doesn't represent the true brightness or color. The R5C is an absolute champ. Highly recommended.

Great camera I have to study it more - It sometimes turns of when switching from photo to video and can’t turn back on- have to open the battery part and t’éclose it to have it start up again. It could be from the off branded camera batteries though

I have a couple R5 and like them much better. This C is not a run and gun camera. You have to use touch screen menus to manually control the exposure. I recommend sticking with R5.
