I have been searching for a Color laser printer for a long time. I finally came to the conclusion that ease of use for what we wanted was just not going to happen or it would come with a very expensive price tag. I finally purchased the Canon mf743 and so far it has been a nightmare to setup with the computer. I do have to say though after about 2 hours of fiddling with the connectivity, driver downloads, and software downloads we have the ability to print from any device not wired all wireless. We can scan to the computer using the the tray and the glass scanner (two seperate ways to scan). Double sided scanning works great. I have not been able to tackle the send to email feature. This is very complicated but will definitely figure it out. For our first laser printer it is exactly what was expected. I do have to say that I was frustrated with the time to link almost everything but once this machine is working with email it will be like I have my office at home with me. Definitely recommend for home office. Be patient with the connectivity.

Fast quality laser printer with a weird glitch.

This full color laser printer makes fast color prints. The quality is quite good, as is the scanning feature. I am not using the fax feature, so I can't comment on that. One weird glitch: the printer firmware ranks paper by weight. It classifies standard 20lb paper as Paper 2 and the heavier 24lb paper, what I use, as Paper 3. However, the print driver makes no such distinctions. The print driver has Paper and Cardstock. If you choose Paper 2 or Paper 3, you will get an error message every time you print. I had to choose Paper 1, even though this is for a much lighter paper than I am using. I'm not sure what the long term results of this will be.

I love this machine, initially I did not want to spend as much but reading all it does and the amount of use I get out of it specially with the In home schooling I have been able to do so much with it. I’m glad I spend the extra money I have printed so much and still have a good amount left. It’s quick and to the point no fuss. Easy steps to set up o just followed on screen instructions and set it up in less than 5 minutes. I love that I can print with my iphone without touching the printer. I highly recommend it.

This is absolutely a great printer!!! Too bad you can buy a new printer cheaper than you can buy a set of new toner cartridges. How environmentally friendly is that??? Ridiculous how the printer companies rake you over the coals on toner and printer cartridge costs!

Overall the printer is easy to use and setup. Great print quality, fast, and the scanner and fax are a breeze to use. The wifi connection is the worst part of the setup. I'm not sure if it's because of how my network is setup (UniFi access point and Edge-x router) but it took forever to get it to show up on any of my computers over the network. I've also found that the wireless connection drops after it goes to sleep for an extended period of time and needs to be manually turned off/back on. Using the built in auto-on feature I have it turn on every morning to "reset" and haven't had any issue with it since then. Hardwiring it to the network would resolve the issues but I don't have the ability to do that currently.

Great For Small Business That Prints Stuff

Okay I’m used to using smaller printers like epson and upgraded to this. As other reviewers say, this is a larger and heavier printer. However if you are doing multiple printings that need to look professional, this is way better than inkjet printers. I haven’t had to buy toner yet but have noticed it’s more expensive but I’m getting quite a bit of prints from the original toner compared to inkjet cartridges. I would recommend this if you are a small business doing packets or documents. If you occasionally print, this may be overkill for your business.

    Best All-in-One on the market

Over the last 30 years I've had Numerous printers, scanners, copy machines and All-in- Ones. This is the most frustration free and gratifying printer of all of the products I've owned. Fast printing, great print quality, scans to PDF, makes beautiful copies, and simple to use. The last straw for the previous injet All-in-One was when trying to print the ink was very low. The cartridges had dried out from non-use! Cartridges are expensive, I want what I pay for.

This all in one printer, copier, fax is a great printer. Wireless or wired it is a winner. Like the printer that came before this, the 733 it is a winner and has a few better features than in the past model. 3 year warranty is included. Amazing color and picture quality. Did you know you can print from your phone? I use this printer for that too. As I said it is a great Canon. Canons are very heavy printers so we warned they are not light printers to move or put in place.

It works very well. Colors are what you expect. Reasonably fast. Big footprint. You need to have space for this beast. I wish it was a little smaller, but it definitely delivers.

Fady, clear, crisp color and B&W copies. Pretty quiet. Meets my personal needs quite well - no more dried up wet ink cartridges, no more wasting ink to clean dirty print heads, no more smeared or striped pages. Desires: 1) To be able to print an email and its attachments from my phone while far from our home WiFi. Epson can do that. 2) Lower ink cartridge costs.

While I'm okay with the purchase because I bought it at a decent price and the print quality is good, this multi-function printer should be so much better and so much easier to work than it is. While connecting to the wireless internet is pretty easy, I'm frustrated at how easily the connection drops and the printer shows that it's online and disconnected at the same time. There is no way to refresh from your desktop - or at least none that I've found. The troubleshooting in the manual is subpar. Scanning, now that I have it figured out, is relatively easy; but this printer should be pretty nimble and it's just not.... Also, it's huge. So keep that in mind if you're planning to use it in a home or small office.

Bought this to replace an older black and white network printer. This one is a dream and very easy to set up and use. Showed up on all Windows, Mac, iPhones and iPads with no issues. Scanned a double sided 40 page document quickly and automatically emailed to me. Color prints are great and it’s a very fast printer. Peace of mind and anyone in the family can easily use. Make sure you download the Canon Business app for remote scanning etc.

Good printer. Quiet and great clear copies. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the touchpad is difficult as It’s not very sensitive to touch. It takes a lot of pressure on buttons to get them to function

I am pleasantly surprised by the ease of operation and the set up of this product. I have to admit that at first I was intimidated by it, but once I read handbook and downloaded the users manual, the set up was a breeze, even for somebody like me who doesn’t know much about those things. I am very happy that I bought it. Even photographed just on plain paper are great and print with great speed.
