This printer replaces my HP6600 inkjet. I switched since I was sick of HP's drop in wireless connectivity. The Canon Laserprinter works wonderfully. Setup in minutes, it works ever since I switched on. The Energy saver mode puts it to sleep, and the printer wakes up when a print job arrives via AirPrint interface through iPad or iPhone or Mac etc. Double sides scanning and printing is great, I love colors and handling. Size is bigger than expected, yet print quality is also more professional compared to any HP 6600 or 8600 printer (which I am using and can compare).

Setup and use was easy, Windows 10 download brought the printer to a grinding halt! My computer and printer were down for 10 days, partially because of driver issues. Everything is working great now that Microsoft got the download corrected!

I bought this printer mostly because of the sale price, it normally was $599 and I got it on sale for $299. I needed up upgraded printer from the old ink style I used to have, the inkjet printers ran out of ink too quick or the ink dried up before I got to use it. Not with this printer it uses toner and won't dry up or run out fast. So far I really like this printer, good sharp color images on any paper. The only thing I wish was different is the size and weight, it's pretty heavy and large. I highly suggest this printer to all if you want a nice looking print.

This thing works fantastically. What a wonderful printer and scanner etc. even prints great pics from my iPhone! Only problem is it takes Forever to print. LIKE FOR EV ER

The printer is fast and responsive. I connected it to my home router and all computers have the ability to print. Love the scanning feature. Extremely happy with my purchase.

I love the functionality, but I had a hard time setting all the functions. I do love the output though and it was worth the effort.

Prior to purchasing the device I read conflicting reviews, especially with regards to Mac OS X users. However I did not encounter any of those issues. I run a Mac/Windows environment in my home office, with several tablets and phones and they all work flawlessly with this unit. Basic setup was easy, however some of the more advanced features might take a more technological savvy person to complete. I was able to setup the advanced features (i.e. fax/answering machine configuration, google cloud print). The web interface make it easy to configure and change the settings from anywhere on your network. Scanning could be a little faster for a unit of this price, but it isn't a deal-breaker either. The only other thing I wish is that Best-Buy would offer the extended warranty for this unit, which they miraculously don't :(

When I received this item I was unable to print double sided. I assumed that it was just my own user error and let it slide until I had some time to call Canon tech support during their operating hours. They were unable to fix the issue over the phone as a part needs to be replaced. The options I was offered were for me to either lug a 60+ lb product to their Beltsville, MD repair location or to have them ship me a refurbished machine. Neither was ideal for me since I have only used the product for a month. I am unable to return the product to best buy even though it is defective because it is outside their 15 day return policy.

I bought this to replace an older version. This printer is easy to use and setup. The paper tray is larger than the next model down and it is perfect for my office.

Perfect for the household that needs an all in one printer. It does everything that a student or small business could need.

This product is great for a small in-home business.
