I gave up on HP some time ago when they locked out 3rd party ink and switched to Epson eco tank. I recently replaced that Epson with another that had a ADF for scanning. It was not duplex and was terribly slow - like my previous Epson. Decided to bite the bullet and get this canon. I don't scan a lot but when I do I like to get it done quickly. This printer is absolutely amazing and super fast. It scans duplex without having to reverse and redraw in the paper for 2nd side. I initially thought it wasn't scanning duplex until I looked at the doc in my google drive and it was! Scanned a 2 sided 30 page document in about 30 seconds or so. Printing is equally fast. I printed a building design on 8x11 from MS Visio which was painfully slow on previous printer - not a problem for the Cannon! This is well worth the extra 300 bucks or so over the one I just returned. It's just for home and home office but man what a stellar printer!

I analyzed a lot of printers before selecting this one. I discovered surprising gaps and weaknesses in otherwise impressive printers during my analysis. For example, some can only resize copies to fixed sizes instead of by percentage specification. Some do not copy or fax in duplex mode. Many do not have two paper cassettes where alternate quality paper can be stored. Many cannot handle printing on heavier card stock as this one can. This printer has full-feature fax support, including the detection of custom ring patterns. With its MegaTank ink supply, this printer has it all. We are pleased with the print quality, both for grayscale and color. Photos and text print with good clarity, and this printer is surprisingly fast. I found bad reviews for many printers, but not for this one. My only complaint is that the documentation for the network setup could be more complete and more clear when mixing LAN and WIFI-connected devices. But I overcame that with a bit of trial and error.

Yes, I recommend printer. I like 6000 pages with black or in ECO mode 9,000 pages, 14,000 pages with color and ECO mode much more. It dose double-sided scan and print. There is setting so if you use cheap plane paper (20lb) it doesn’t absorb into the paper if you’re print double-slide.

Print quality is good and setup was easy. The scanner app for Mac didn't install and the scanner functionality through the printer preferences has not worked well. Also, I don't like that you can only be connected by LAN or Wifi and not both at the same time. All minor issues, so overall, very pleased.

Have had this printer just a couple of days over a month. I bought this particular model because of three specific features. 1) It is a tank printer; 2) it has a rear feed specifically for heavy cardstock; and 3) I can put 2-sided originals in the document feeder (ADF) and get a 2-sided copy or all sides as scanned output to my computer without ever having to touch the paper. It does all of these things and for a price quite a bit below its nearest competitor. (Note: Prior printer which I had for 12 years (died, needed a replacement) easily handled the print/scan requirement. Would have thought after 12 years this feature would be pretty standard. Not so much.) Set up and Installation was pretty much a snap on 3 PCs (all Win11), 2 iPhones, and an iPad. Once installed, the executable sent me to a Canon site where I could install additional programs (free) to help with various features - scanning, for example - which work well and are recommended. Had a technical question which I could not find the answer to in the manuals. Called Tech Support, got through in a reasonable amount of time and the tech spent quite a bit of time (no hint of being rushed) working me through things. Having had it only a month cannot speak to how long the ink will actually last nor can I address how well what are good looking prints will last but so far so good. My wife makes cards so has exercised the back feed for her cardstock a number of times. We have also scanned 2-sided and printed 2-sided documents. All work well as they should. So why 4 stars and not 5? The menu choices are kind of obscure. I took me several tries to get a 2 sided document to print as 2 sided and several more to get a 1-sided one to print as 2-sided. Once I figured it out, though there is a save setting menu which I hope will make things easier in the future. I just wish the menu choices were more straightforward with plain English words/choices. On the plus side, though, if I just want a single sided copy it is a hard button (one for B&W; one for color) which work with originals in the ADF or the glass screen. This is all, maybe, a bit picky, and if there was a 4 1/2 star rating might have gone with that.

    Strong Out of the Gate

First off, I've been a long-time HP printer user, owning at least three all-in-ones over the last 15-20 years, with the most recent being the HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e. I owned the 9025e for about ten months and only put about 3000 sheets of paper through it during that time, a majority of them consumed trying to get it to print properly! Needless to say, that was the last straw for HP, so I wrote it off and moved on to a Canon. That said, the Canon GX7021 installed without a hitch, something the 9025e didn't do; it printed with a higher quality than I ever saw with my HPs; it pulled the paper straight when scanning using the document feeder, again something my HPs never did; the output tray, although relatively small, did a decent job of not allowing the papers to fall on the floor; and, after one call with tech support, I had it continous scanning to the PC from the flatbed using the control panel (no PC), an important requirement for my usage and, again (you guessed it) something that I could never get the HP9025e to consistently do. I'd like to also highlight that filling the ink tanks was painless, both because the bottles are idiot proof, preventing you from putting the ink in the wrong tank, and the process wasn't messy, at all. So, now for the cons. It's really not a "good looking" device and the fit of the exterior panels is disappointing for the price. The paper trays feel chinsey and they don't extend, allowing for a larger variety of paper sizes, but the rear feed is available for all the odd sizes, envelopes included. The paper trays only accept plain paper up to 28 lbs, so, again, you have to rely on the rear feed for things like cardstock. So, it appears that Canon invested in the important aspects of a printer, producing quality prints (and not spitting them out on the floor when done). My initial mindset is I'm definitely glad I left HP behind, but time will tell if Canon can keep my loyalty. Now, to see how long it lasts. For the premium price, I'm hoping for a good amount of time!

Warning clause, its a mainance nightmare but is a wonderful piece for the office at the end of the day! If you are looking for a piece for the office that brings and utilized various features with a cheap solution to ink-hording, then this printer is the way to go! You are like any good piece of technology going to have to give it some constant alligning and TLC. Its great for short uses, but past that, you are looking into making sure that your printer is cleaned weekly, realligned, and if you are trying to print for an army, have an army ready to pull the paper out when it jams! I run ecommerence and that was great for this printer till I had a commission of printing a couple 1000 pamflets and it turned into a sloppy mess (and note, I didn't do it all in one setting.) Make sure you know how to work technology in general and your saviness goes far as it will come in handy.

    Canon GX7021 difficult to scan

Previously had Epson ET-8700 loved it but it messed up and the repair was going to be $900, not worth it. So went with canon, It prints and copies very fast, that I do like, have had about three weeks now, and scanning is difficult, can’t preview, and it makes pdf files very large, can’t find anything in manual to correct this, or a customer service number, not sure if I want to keep it, can’t return either.

Great printer. After years using high output color lasers I decided to revert back to using ink-jet since the cartridge issue is no longer a problem. This printer makes excellent color prints and once set up is easy to use. Works well as a copier too. I am not using it as a FAX and I already have a scanner in the office so that function is also not in use.

It works great scanning is fast and simplified with the double sided scanning one pass. Can be temperamental when scanning, sometimes you may have to scan the whole document again to get the full document.

I love the printer. The print speed in color is a little slow to me but its not a dealbeaker flaw for me to return it. Setting up the fax was a little bit of headache but that was because of errors on my side. I have printed so much already and the ink has barely moved. I love the vividness of the color prints and scan quality is good. It connected on my first try to all of my Apple products too. I am however having some issues setting up an admin password. If i set an admin password on the device itself I keep getting a message that says the admin password is not set up. It may be a glitch but I havent had time to contact Canon about it yet.

I love this printer! I am the Office and Operations Manager for a speech therapy company and when I started there, they had 2 HP printers that were awful. They were slow, would jam, and sometimes wouldn’t even recognize when we installed new ink cartridges. I ordered one of the Canon GX7021 printers to try it out and fell in love with it! I LOVE the single pass duplex scan feature! It is so fast and saves a ton of time! I’ve now ordered a second printer to replace the other HP, and will be ordering a third to replace my crappy Epson printer at home. I’ve always hated printers because they always get buggy and don’t do what they are supposed to. Not this beast! It’s the best printer I’ve ever used. I’ve officially become a Canon fan because of this printer.

No Words to say about Canon Printers who needs to go to a photo shop to make you're own pictures. Plus this is an office printer that holds all Sizes paper. Also you can't get easy installation from ready to go software thatcis easy to follow. Plus its so True about the long lasting ink. I haven't need to change any ink for over 10 months since i bought it. And i do alot of printing cost effective for you're wallet. And to hold as many papers as the ink do it just a great combo . Each compartment holding their own. All i can say buy it and you'll never go wrong for your home or office..

My new Canon - MAXIFY MegaTank GX7021 Wireless All-In-One Inkjet Printer with Fax is fast! It has an Overall rating* Excellent because it is a great multi function machine. My old printer printed 8 pages per minute and an ink hog. My hair was turning gray out of frustration waiting for that slow printer. The Maxify is 30 pages a minute and is ink efficient. I love this machine!!
