I bought a cricket machine that has all kinds of materials and printing out, decals onto vinyl or whatever type of printable material do they have. I’ll look at me printers all of them. Had one problem you get what you pay, for I considered a machine that was under $100 I guess it would work out really well but the print difference between $100 model and this model, I paid a little over 300 for has very true to life colors. I compare the print to a actual photograph and obviously there’s no difference. I can pair the quality of the print with a picture I had on my computer, the print quality matched or exceeded the picture quality I taken into account the fact that if your monitor doesn’t have a very good stream, the pictures are slightly off by colors because of the quality of your monitor multicolored ink cartridges have enough texture and variance to make the pictures look so vibrant. I am reluctantly purchase this and now after I’ve used it for a month I don’t think I can get a bigger printer. I’ve been seeing some printers my friend has he paid $800 right painter I showed him one of my pictures that came out of my printer and I told him it came out of my canon and he couldn’t believe me so we tested it in the comparison was very close

An absolute godsend! All my colors turn out great AND it works on a variety of materials- I've only just started playing around with it, but I'm really excited to test out some inkjet shrink film I ordered! Plus, it's great for making prints- I'm a digital artist, so I wanted to make sure I invested in a printer that could make my work shine, and this does the trick! My only complaint thus far has to do with how much desk space it eats up, but that's a me problem for sure- a bit of reorganizing should do the trick.

I love my Canon-Pixma iX6850. Initially I was concerned about the size but the quality of my prints made it all worth the purchase. This printer is high demand in the t-shirt industry for (beginners). Ease of use four stars as I normally have to ensure that the paper is place in tray correctly prior to printing.

Melissa, the department manager (amazing, knowledgeable, upbeat), showed us photos made with the printer and we were very impressed. I bought one for my office at school and liked it so much, we went back and bought another one for home use!

Second Best Printer I Ever Had

This printer is so good that it is difficult to know where to begin my accolades. It is a lot smaller than I expected, even a lot shorter in height than standard printers. Of course, its footprint is larger than a regular printer, but not by much. It is mainly a little wider than a regular printer. I'm really impressed how diminutive it appears. Canon's engineers did an excellent design job on this printer. Setup was very easy. I used the WPS button on my wireless router and it linked almost instantly. At first I thought it must not have worked because it happened so quickly. I did not connect it via a USB cable. I'm not much of a fan of the junky L shaped desktop icon - uses up a lot of space with several icons of dubious value. I may delete it later. You are limited to only one paper size at a time, but that's not such a big deal considering the range of print sizes you can create. I printed a 4X6 inch print, an 8.5X11 and 13X19 inch prints. That's pretty much the spectrum of what you would normally print. It is a surprisingly fast printer. It isn't an all-in-one printer; it's just a printer - no scanner, no fax and no copy capability. I realize this is advertised to only be a business printer insinuating its photo capabilities to be perhaps at best average. But I still wanted to determine the limitations of its photo printing capability. I already own a Canon Pro-100 and the Canon Pro-9000 Mark II printer that print 13X19 photo prints, so I wasn't expecting this 5 ink printer's photo capability to be in the same league. And in some cases it isn't - it's even better than my two other photo printers for richness of colors. That doesn't mean it faithfully reproduces the original image, but it does produce very pleasing photos where fine color accuracy isn't a terribly important objective. Paper type makes a huge difference no matter which printer you are using. The paper is as important as the ink in many situations. I really didn't want to print several duplicate 13X19 prints, but that was the only way to do a direct and fair comparison. As you would expect, the Pro-100 is clearly much better for faithful reproductions of portraits of people where skin tone and texture matter - especially on a large 13X19 inch print. However, if you didn't have a direct comparison print from a Canon Pro-100, you would still say that's a really good print. I printed several prints of scenery and historical buildings and I thought this office printer's prints actually looked better than the Canon Pro-100 printer in terms of color saturation and richness of color.

After many years of buying Epson or HP printers, I finally tried a Canon iP5000. I LOVED it. When it died abruptly, I was up the proverbial creek. I tried to go inexpensive and bought a Canon iP7220. I do NOT need or want an "all-in-one" but I do want/need a printer that, on occasion, can do a quality photo. The iP7220 would NOT print an envelope correctly no matter what I tried; it also has other failings like a tiny paper drawer. I returned it and bought this model at approximately 2.5 x the cost. The iX6820 has the rear paper feed that I prefer and will hold, I think, up to 250 sheets in reserve. I am TROUBLED by the way you print envelopes, but it appears to be fairly standard these days. You must REMOVE all the paper in the feed slot. Insert the envelope in the feeder more or less centered. MOVE the paper alignment holders to center the envelope and print. THEN you must realign the paper guides and reload your regular paper. WHAT A PIA! Once we got the printer installed on my wife's laptop and signed into our house wifi (this took a bit of doing), it works beautifully in wireless mode! I can't tell if this one sucks up ink quite yet. I will revise my review when I have some observations on that subject. I understand that this printer WILL accommodate 11x14 or larger photo paper. That is an exciting possibility! Note that this printer has a large footprint.

Prints beautiful studio quality pictures. Good price for value. Happy with purchase. I hate the apps that it suggests you use. Takes up too much memory on my computer for a program I don’t need.

Bought this printer as an upgrade for my etsy shop. Overall the quality is great but if you want something that’s really crisp and clear spend the money for the pixma pro. I’ve cleaned the ink cartridge areas and everything and I still get lines on my darker color prints. It could’ve had a screen built onto it somewhere. The WiFi is very hard to connect to since you’re going off pressing a button and hoping it connects to your computer. Very heavy and large. Decent printer for the price though.

I have had this printer for two years now and never wrote a review only because of laziness. This is a gem and if anything happened to it I would definitely replace immediately. I work on graphics and it does a great job printing photos, as well as, anything you need to print. I love the wide body and do a lot of larger printing. One of the best features, it uses generic ink and the color is spectacular. My previous wide body was an Epson and I thought that was great until it broke and I replaced it with this Canon. This is a wonderful all around printer, price wise it was great and generic ink that does a fantastic job just can't be beat. Highly recommend as an all around printer.

The quality of the printing is great. However, I was disappointed to find out that tis printer does not have a scanner. I had the exact same model of this previously which is why I repurchased this model. The earlier model had a scanner while this one does not.

I bought this for my craft room, as I wanted a printer that could print on 12x12 scrapbook paper. It is not a small printer, but it is not as bulky as other wide-format printers I've seen. I also use it to print photos, and the quality is comparable to places like Walgreens or Wal-Mart. I am not sure about ink life yet, because I've only had it a few days.

This is my second one. I love this printer, especially as an artist and teacher. I get quality prints, troubleshooting is simple, and I LOVE the borderless printing sizes. It’s easy to replace ink, and cost effective. If something happens to this printer, I will buy a 3rd one.
