In the first few days I used the infra red camera to identify hot water pipes, hot spots on the walls and ceilings (attic insulation), and check equipment for overheating parts. I was surprised that with the hot water pipes I could actually find restrictions based on color changes. This is live viewing so I can move the phone around and really pinpoint or eliminate issues. I've also read reviews that reported it was not accurate for measurements but my experience is that it is at least as accurate as those infrared thermometers (guns) but provides the information in a far more useful way. I set up the laser measurement feature (takes maybe a minute) but haven't used it or the air quality tool yet. The list of items that are detected by the sensor is short, but if you work around particle board (formaldehyde) it might be useful. The phone performance is very good and I've had no issues. I have to have a waterproof shockproof phone in my line of work and the S61 is best in class. Also, I thought people would comment negatively due to it's slightly thicker body, but every time someone sees it there are "wow"s and they grab it from me. Like it's a Tesla or something. I'm not a phone fanatic so this was totally unexpected. The battery level always seems to be around 80% (I charge nightly) and I use the camera daily so no complaints there. Solid Android phone! It's under everyone's radar right now..

Exceeded my expectations! First time android user (Apple all my life) and this thing is great! Needed a rugged phone for work, and this does the trick!

Overall I'm quite pleased with the phone. I am an avid apple user and going from an iPhone to Android has been the only downturn. My iPhone never lagged it just opened anything instantly no matter what. With this phone I've noticed some lag. An that's a huge deal to me. So it's caused me some frequent frustrations. But it's a trade off for some other wonderful things. The air sensor works very well and I really enjoy the FLIR camera. I was worried about it becaurthere seemed to be a lot of bad reviews but I am not disappointed with the nneat tools on board. The laser is really neat. Once I figured it out I was getting measurements right on the money. You can even pull measurements out of the picture after it's snapped, Really cool. I do not like Android os so if apple ever makes anything like this then I would definitely switch but the feel and power of the phone is a hard trade off. Everytime I pick up the phone It leaves me with a really awesome feeling. Like owning a cybertruck would be.

I haven't had this phone for long, but I love it! The FLIR camera, the rugged exterior of the phone, the battery life, are all excellent! My only real gripe with the CAT S61, is that the camera takes a long time to capture an image.

Very rugged phone and has awesome tools that come with it. Battery is amazing.. would stay on for days under moderate use.. only downside is that it will not work on Verizon network. Which is a shame.. love the phone, love the features and can't afford to move my entire family to another carrier.

I am usually hard on phones and break them within a year, but so far it’s lasted longer than either of my last 2 phones. It does have some interesting quirks like the way some system notifications are worded. The hot button on the side is convenient but I wouldn’t recommend using it on just click because it is easy to accidentally click. The flir camera seems to be high quality for what the form factor is. Something that’s not in the description is that the back of it is rubberized which makes it easy to hang on to with dirty hands. It also has a setting to make the screen responsive to gloves which I haven’t used much but when I have it seems to be effective. The os runs smoothly and quick the lack of bloat ware is also nice

I did not realize at the time I ordered this phone, it has to be used with the SPRINT network. The reason I purchased this phone was the IPhone I had was inoperable, would not hold a charge, I could only receive texts but could not respond. Basically, undependable. This phone was recommended to me by a friend who has one abs the device has been dependable.

Great phone!! Sturdy and rugged for the rugged rough work my husband does. Although the first phone we received did not function properly ..the return was easy and the shipped another phone promptly with no hassles. First day of use and so far so good!

So the thermal imaging camera a little bit fidgety at first but no longer having problems. The buttons on the front are a bit delicate but overall great call quality good battery life durable.

Easy phone to operate, great quality camera and also Thermal imaging. Extra tools include measuring device, air quality sniffer and Caterpillar optional downloadable tools etc

I’m an engineer so it’s perfect for someone like me. The thermal imaging and measuring. It’s great. Great buy.

My 17 year old son’s phone needed replaced. Updated him to this one. He’s extremely please with its ruggedness and operation.

I bought this for my husband. He can't say enough good about it, he's like a kid that just got his first car. When they say it's not just a phone, but a tool, they mean it. He's a firefighter and he loves the thermal camera. His only complaint is that he want from iPhones for years and is not used to not knowing where everything is, but he will adjust.

this is the coolest phone ive ever seen or had.. its cheaper than an iphone and it can do some pretty amazing stuff.. if you are a geek, then you NEED this phone.. it works just like they claim.. the buttons work underwater.. ANALOG BUTTONS THAT WORK when pressed UNDERWATER.. and it doesnt short the whole thing out either.. the FLIR package it has is awesome! i have so much fun just looking at the world in a different spectrum, and i also like to mess with all the apple people that think iPhones are the pinnacle of human technological achievement.. also, the phone has a built in LASER.. and the laser is for measurement and is highly accurate.. but it works best with a cat involved.. dogs can be substituted as well?

for an android it is a very cool tool, great for jobsites.

Great phone for those who are rough and tumble individuals.
