SHARDS OF GLASS EMBEDDED IN WALL

After years of looking at Salamander tv cabinets and dreaming of owning one, we found an open box item one and worked hard to get it home. About 6 months later, the glass exploded in the middle of the night. We have had no assistance in replacing the glass top. We're having to repair drywall, we have scratches on our wood floors, dents in our new speakers, trashed a shag rug, and have to replace the top ourselves. Shards of glass wound up over 15 ft away. We had about 70 lbs of weight on top, far below the 150 lb maximum listed. Salamander Designs and Best Buy customer care will not replace the top or assist with any of the damage. This will be our one Salamander Designs purchase and we'll be building our own top, as we are absolutely not paying to get another potentially explosive glass top of theirs.
