Customers are positive about the easy setup, Wi-Fi extender, indoor chime, and loudness of the Chime Pro. They appreciate the convenience of setting up the device through their phones, the added Wi-Fi coverage, the indoor chime feature, and the sufficient volume of the chime. On the other hand, customers are negative about the signal strength, range, effectiveness, price, and compatibility of the product. They complain about the lack of improvement in signal strength, the limited range of the device, its ineffectiveness in improving connectivity, the relatively high price compared to other door chimes, and the fact that the Wi-Fi extension only works with Ring products.

I bought this to plug in upstairs since we can't hear the doorbell up there, but it's having issues connecting to the doorbell . It could be because all of the electronics I have in the house. It works perfectly fine downstairs and I'm pretty sure it's well within the distance it needs to be to work properly when upstairs. I'll try a few more things when I have time.

I was having a huge problem with the Ring constantly losing connectivity and having a nearly 30-second delay on alerts, so I got this hoping to fix it. It’s not perfect, but it did improve the situation. I couldn’t put the extender on the wall I wanted (about halfway between the Ring and the router) because it refused to connect to the Ring. Once I moved it to the outlet next to the front door, it connected no problem. Since we got it, the Ring has not lost connection once, and the alert delay decreased to under 10 seconds. Worth the purchase for that improvement, even though it didn’t go quite as well as I hoped.
I also love the external chime, rather than just relying on the app, as well as changing them to fun holiday sounds.

This little guy plugs into a wall outlet and provides additional range for your ring doorbell plus it's also a chime for your doorbell as well. Pretty smart. Ring makes a unit that is only a doorbell chime in case you don't need the range extender but it's smart that they combined the ringer and extender in one unit. Oh, also this unit can alert you not only for doorbell rings but also for motion. Both alerts can also be turned off individually, making it just an extender. In my case, it extended my network about 20-25 feet which turned out to be just enough. Not hard to configure as long as you're within the working range. If it's not working, more than likely, you're out of range from your router.

We installed 2 RING spotlight cams outside our home and needed to boost our WIFI signal. Purchased this chime/WIFI extender and it works great! Not only did it take care of boosting the signal we can hear motion notifications from our spotlight cams. It also hooks up with our Ring Doorbell 2 for motion and ring detection chime. Through the Ring app we can choose the tone for motion and a separate tone for the doorbell ring. Pretty easy to install and hook up multiple Ring devices. Very inexpensive compared to the value it gives you. Definitely happy with this purchase.

I've had my Ring doorbell for several months and finally decided I needed the chime. I decided on this version to extend Wi-Fi through my house. I've not had any issues and was pleasantly surprised the chime has holiday specific chimes. The Halloween themed chimes were great! I'm looking forward to Christmas themed chimes.

I purchased the Chime Pro along with our Ring 2 doorbell after reading other reviews about connectivity problems to wireless internet.
After installing the doorbell, I was not able to connect to our wireless internet even though we have range extenders on each floor of our 3 level home. After installing the Chime Pro and connecting it to the wireless router, the doorbell connected immediately and has held connection with no problems.
We love the fact the doorbell and chime are programmable to give seasonal and other chimes when motion is detected at your door or someone presses the doorbell button.

Easy to install, gives me a loud different sound when someone or something is downstairs where I cant see anything. It reaches the upper floors easily.

This Ring Chime connects directly to your home wifi and extends it to your ring doorbell. Your Ring doorbell then connects to the Chime and allows you to put your doorbell a little further away from the home wifi base station. The chime plugs right into the wall and when someone pushes the Ring doorbell button, the chime is loud enough to hear from remote areas of the house without being overbearing. The chime is a great addition to the Ring doorbell system so that you don't have to carry your smart phone around with you to receive notifications if someone is at your door.

We bought this to help boost our wi-fi signal to our barn. Internet in our area can be touchy and we have a camera in our barn to watch over a pregnant donkey. We have this plugged in on our front porch and it’s helped tremendously. We don’t use it as a door chime but we could easily do that if we needed. It was so easy to install and get working. Honestly I’m so surprised at how simple the Ring products are to hook up and add to the app. Products work perfectly and are affordable. We will continue to use Ring cameras because it’s an excellent system.

The was just what I needed to extend the range of my Ring doorbell pro so my network would detect it and I could configure it properly. I have a 2,184 sq/ft 3 level townhouse so my wifi range gets a little sketchy as you go towards the lower levels. I'm a happy camper and all is working well now.

Very easy to set up! My mom is hard of hearing so she’s able to hear the doorbell in the family room. The chime is loud enough. I think this solved the problem of us not being able to hear the person at the door...my Internet was too far from the front door. Now everything is perfect!

I bought this to extend a weak WiFi signal. Though it does extend the WiFi by a small amount, I ended up building a mesh network which is much better. The chime is nice and loud, which is what I use it for.

I like it, but I don’t like it. When I first installed my ring pro, it worked fine the first couple days. I had strong WiFi and good voltage. Low and behold, a couple days later, it wouldn’t even connect anymore. It kept saying my WiFi was too slow and it brought me to some troubleshooting page that conveniently advertises this extender. Go figure huh? Well I got suckered into buying the extender and my ring pro now works like it’s supposed to. It’s almost as if they did it on purpose to make you buy their extender.

this is good for extending the doorbell sound throughout your house and for alerting you when there is motion detected.
the wi fi extend part seems to work ok. but its a real pain if you ever lose connection . the cameras have a really hard time getting reconnected. despite the really easy setup on the app. it simply refuses to work sometimes. be prepared for a lot of support time on the phone. but overall i would still say ring is a good product.

I bought this for the WiFi extending capabilities rather than the doorbell. I have a Ring Doorbell 2 (hardwired) and a Spotlight cam. The spotlight cam had poor connectivity due to the location, and the Chime Pro improves it greatly! Very pleased with the purchase.

Extender didn’t give the stick up cam better connection. It would either disconnect or have low connection. It could be my WiFi, so I wouldn’t give it a negative review and suggest trying it.

I now have two ring chimes in my home. I purchased the basic Ring Chime and to increase my range, I added the Ring Chime Pro. As a wifi extender it seems to work just fine. We had dead spots in our two story 5,000 square foot home. Adding the second Ring Chime made all the difference. It was pretty easy to add to my Ring products and I haven't had to visit the setup since I did it a few weeks ago. The only issue I have is that you have to partially dismantle your Ring Doorbell in order to set it up with the Ring Chime Pro or standard. That is a pain.

I had weak signal to my stick up cam in front of the house, because the router is in the rear of the house. now with the WiFi extender, works great every time, clearer picture, smoother and the battery life last twice as long

Wife wanted more security so we got a ring doorbell to deter the porch pirates that run around stealing packages. The doorbell worked pretty good on the standalone WiFi but to get optimal results we Purchased this extender it also acts as a louder door bell alert and you can set up several different tones wife likes it so I am happy because she is happy.

This ring chime pro with the Wi-Fi extender works perfectly. My router is in the very back room of my house my ring doorbell is at the very front of the house. Even though my ring doorbell worked fine. My signal is still very weak. I aske this ring chime pro with the Wi-Fi extender works perfectly. My router is in the very back room of my house my ring doorbell is at the very front of the house. Even though my ring doorbell worked fine. My signal was still very weak. I put it in the somewhere in middle of the house. By using the chime pro Wi-Fi extender. My ring has the best video quality I’ve seen yet. The other thing I like about this ring chime pro is the different types of rings end times it offers. My favorite one is The voice that says “Someone is at your door!”
