    Amazing Bose Sound, Again

I read through several product reviews and questions and answers for this product and others. Initially, I was sold on a Sonos Play:5. However, I was also looking for something I could hook up to my TV, as well as stream music. I couldn't hook the Sonos up to the TV, and at first I thought music streaming was going to be a problem with this system. However, I ran across a couple questions and answers on the item webpage, one from Bose and one from a purchaser that said streaming music was possible with this system...with an Bluetooth receiver. Along with this system, I purchased a Logitech Bluetooth Receiver, item number 980-000910 (SKU: 5294033). It was recommended by the purchaser review. IT WORKS PERFECTLY!!! In fact, the sound is better with the BT connection versus a directly wired 3.5mm connection. I tried them both. The sound, both music and television/movies, is spectacular for the system's size, and I am very happy with this purchase.

I was in the market for a soundbar to go with my new Sony tv. I originality was going to purchase a Sony soundbar, but reconsidered when I was made aware Bose had one. The sound is truly amazing! I already own two Bose wave radios. They did not disappoint me with those and so far, not disappointed with my recent purchase either!

Aside from the great deal from Bestbuy, the product is so easy to install and set-up. Way less wires and no more complicated set-ups. You don't need to be an expert to set up this system. Sound quality and bass is perfect. Best system under $400. Should have invested in Bose long time ago instead of wasting my time with other systems.

The first thing that came to my mind when I first saw the Bose soundbar on display is wow Bose wants 499.00 on sale for that little thing, there's nothing to it! But after reading the reviews I decided to try it since I was looking for a small soundbar for my office. The sound was so amazing I decided to try it in my living room and compare side by side with my much larger 42" Vizio 5.1 with subwoofer and surrounds. I kept rewinding the same scenes from the show Arrow by hooking up the Bose and then the Vizio over and over and found the Bose offered sounds you simply could not hear with the Vizio such as when the glass window shattered you can hear the tiny pieces of glass hit the tile and slide across the floor hitting the chair legs. Time and time again I picked up sounds using the Bose that were either muffled or not present on the Vizio sound bar and the sound projects so much better and clearer you really do not need surround speakers. The best way I can describe the sound is like if you were to compare a picture taken with a low megapixel camera to a much higher megapixel you would see much more detail and sharper image in the better quality camera. The Bose offers a much better listening experience with better detail.

I have used a minimum 5 speaker surround system for years. I love listening to my movies and sports in stereo. My old system finally gave out on me and I was forced to find something new. Bose was always a system I wanted, but seemed to be out of my price range. Ultimately found this system in my local Best Buy store. There was a great display set up with this system and I couldn't have been more impressed. Compared to other sound bars on the market, this looked like a toy. The subwoofer has amazingly rich bass and looks nice in my room. But, back to the soundbar...It's only about a foot in length and about four inches tall as well as wide. Fits perfectly in front of my tv. The sound blew me away. It sounds BETTER than the multi-speaker systems I've used in the past. It provides amazingly crisp and strong sound. Bose somehow provided surround sound from a rather small soundbar and single subwoofer. Guess that will have to remain their secret. Great price. Fits easily in any entertainment area. Provides truly dynamic sound. Incredibly easy to set up. It really is the perfect package. Give it a shot yourself. I'm sure you won't regret it.

We originally intended to buy a sound bar for TV but after searching for sound bars we ended up looking at the Bose system. The sales associate then showed us the Bose cinemate 10 system. That system sounded great and the guy told us they also had the new Cinemate 15. We never got to hear a demo because the display wasnt set up in the store but we took a chance and bought it anyway. Setup was easy, and I would advise anyone to buy the upgraded optical cable. You won't regret it after comparing it to the cheap one Bose gives you. Programming the remote was easy and we were happy to see an actual remote and not a cheap blister button remote. Don't lose the remote though, because there is no other way to power the system on or off or adjust the volume. Also, there is no Bluetooth feature which in my opinion shiuld be standard at this price point. Aside from these shortcomings we absolutely love our Cinemate15!

The Cinemate 15 reminds me of a young athlete that has a tremendous amount of talent, but needs refinement. I replaced the Sonos Playbar with the Cinemate 15 because I wasn't pleased with the maximum audio level of the Sonos (I should specify that I only had the playbar and not the sub, so price was also a factor). The Cinemate 15 provides good (not great) audio quality, and despite its small size, is a tremendously loud soundbar. The bass module (sub woofer) has plenty of power and bass for almost all situations. The performance is great, but it lacks refinement in a few areas that could be deal breakers, depending on your demands. First, there's no "news" setting, which amplifies and makes voices stand out, and usually very clear. Second, there's no "night" setting, which elevates quiet audio (like a whispering conversation) but decreases audio level for things like explosions or gun fights. Even though it lacks refinement, the Cinemate 15 is a great sound bar that is worth the money. + Max audio level: I have a large living room, and I was skeptical that the Bose would be able to fill the room with sound. I was pleasantly surprised with the maximum audio level. Audio remains accurate with very little distortion at higher volumes. While it's hard to compare what "loud" is from one person to another, I can tell you that I tend to like my music very loud...and I usually don't exceed 65-70% maximum volume. I would also like to note that the bass module (sub) has yet to disappoint. Whether it's long drawn out thundering bass, or quick, punching bass the bass module has performed really well. While I will admit that I usually keep the volume knob (bass module has an independent volume knob that fine tunes bass input) up to about 75%. + Room filling sound: Maximum audio is one thing, but how well the audio is projected is a bigger factor for room filling sound. The Cinemate 15 has a total of 4 speakers (drivers) in the soundbar, two of which fire directly out of the side of the bar. Because of the speakers firing out of the side of the bar, the Cinemate 15 literally has a 180 degree sound stage. No matter where you are sitting in the room, you get the same great audio experience. + Universal remote: The Cinemate 15 includes a universal remote, so that's pretty cool. I haven't programmed mine yet, but it's a nice additional feature. - No "night mode": I mentioned this earlier, so let me go more in depth. The first night I bought the Cinemate 15 I watched "Argo" which has plenty of quiet scenes, but like most action movies has plenty of chanting crowds, helicopters and screeching tires. The quiet scenes were sometimes challenging to hear, while the action scenes were always plenty loud. It could have just been the contrast between the high's and low's that made it hard to hear the low scenes, but I guess that's the point of the "night mode" to eliminate the contrast. It's not a deal breaker, but it would be a nice added feature, especially considering that even budget soundbars that cost half as much usually include the feature. -Inability to toggle inputs: This may not be an issue for most people, but it's really frustrating that the Cinemate 15 doesn't allow you to toggle between multiple inputs. I have my TV connected through the optical input, but I would like to have my Sonos Connect connected through the coax input. Unfortunately, if I want to go from watching TV to listening to music, I have to shut the soundbar off, unplug one input, then plug in the other. As with the "night" mode, other sound bars that cost hundreds less have the option to toggle inputs, it would be nice if the Cinemate 15 did too. - Not a wireless sub: While most sound bar sub woofers just need to be plugged into the wall and receive the signal via bluetooth, the bass module on the Cinemate 15 is connected directly to the soundbar via two large, connected cables that I refer to as "jumper cables" because they are pretty large. The cable is 9 feet in length, so hopefully you don't need to have the bass module farther than 9 feet away from the soundbar. The only plus to this, is that Bose combined the power cable with the audio cables that connect to the bass module, so it doesn't require a separate power cord for the soundbar itself.

I have long detested sound bars. I've never heard one that produced remotely decent enough sound without distortion or crackling...until now. Since Bose discontinued its Cinemate Series that came as two separate speakers, I decided to give this one a try. I was shocked by the sound quality that this tiny thing can produce. Granted, it's not as good as the two separate speakers, but it's pretty darn close. Color me impressed. It's pricey, but well worth it in my opinion for the quality. The soundbar market is 95% junk unless you're willing to shell out for a good one.

We set this up in our bedroom as its rather large and the TV speakers were ok but not great. For the price, its unbeatable. Very small footprint which we wanted. I thought of Mounting it on the wall but it sits on top of the cable box which can't be mounted. Movies sounds great and we have a Sony TV with the Android operating system which has the Google Music app....music sounds great. Much better sounds than other sound bars we tried in a much smaller size. Very happy with this purchase.

For anyone looking for a surround system, on a budget, and not a master Audio installer - your search is over. These is no speaker wire to run around your room or hide somehow. It took me 10 minutes to set-up, and 5 minutes of that was unpacking the box, unwrapping the cords, and quick looking at the directions. If you can plug something in a wall, find the correct spot on your TV, and plug a cord into the Subwoofer, well I just gave you the instructions for set-up - Congrats. The sound bar is very small and sleek, so it isn't an eye sore handing under your TV or taking up space on your stand. It gives unbelievable sound for watching movies, shows, and sports.

There are other sound bars on the market but Bose has always had the best sound and durable reputation. I liked the sound from the speakers very much as opposed to the cheap speakers that are in the TV. The Bose system has 2 speakers, one is very small and fits under the TV. The base speaker is much larger and sits on the side of my TV stand cabinet (which is black) and blends in easily with the decor. The bass sound can be adjusted easily by a knob on the back of the bass speaker. It's totally amazing the difference in sound, both in volume, bass, and actual sound. Normally this unit runs $599.99 but was on sale for $539.99 about a week before the Superbowl game which was a great price. I've really never seen any Bose item sale go on sale at any time so I was happy to get this unit for the sale price. I'm very happy with this purchase and plan on enjoying this unit for years to come!

This is a really good system. I just wanted to upgrade from the stock speakers on the TV and this is so much better. The bass is very impressive and the sound quality is excellent. Bose tried to sell us on one of their $1,000 and up systems but that was out of our budget so we went over to Best Buy and got this system and we're really happy with it. If you want true surround sound or simulated surround this is not the system for you, but for just much better sound quality and the addition of bass this is great. I notice a massive difference watching TV, movies, or playing games with this system versus the stock TV speakers. I'd definitely recommend this.

This was a very easy system to set up. The sound quality is definitely there when compared to other systems, but of course it is a BOSE! I use it in my family room, which is open to the kitchen. It does quite well filling the room(s) with sound. Though it may not be equivalent to the remote speaker systems that BOSE offers, for a smaller sound bar system - this is a great system! You will not be disappointed if you are looking for a small sound bar system.

After trying the Sony system, which we returned, we opted for the Bose Cine-Mate 15 System. The Bose was SUPERIOR in sound, and ease of hook-up to get it working. The name Bose speaks for itself, and was actually cheaper than the Sony system by quite a bit. Great bass, and clarity when playing music through it also. The only drawback, and keeping it from a 5-star review, is it has to use it's own controller, may not be compatible with Sony controls, and you can not see a sound level on our TV screen...BUY IT if you are considering it...

I was reluctant to make the commitment (seemed kind of expensive for what it is) on the Bose Soundbar. I wanted it from the start but read LOTS of reviews on other comparable (cheaper) soundbars and they looked really good on paper. I brought 3 other soundbar systems home and ended up returning all of them. Samsung, Sony, JBL. I should have gone with my gut and just paid up for the Bose in the first place. SUPER easy to install. Very loud. Giant bass. Great sonic range. Solid high quality remote. Small footprint (my wife loves that too). The best of the bunch. Now the down side (why I only gave it 4 out of 5). No HDMI. Wired Sub. No display to show volume settings. And the worst annoyance is the fact you can not adjust the Sub's volume via the remote control. The Sub has a dial on the back that's tough to reach. But at the end of the day I can live with all of the shortcomings because it is really really good at doing what it's made to do. It's sounds amazing for being so simple. Perfect for someone who doesn't want to fuss with settings and just wants instant gratification. Set it and forget it.

When I first purchased the Bose system and took it out of the box, I was thinking that it was too small and that my husband wouldn't get the sound that I know he wanted. I had purchased it for him as an Early Valentine gift and he LOVED it. I am in aww of how great the sound quality is from such a small speaker. Great product. Now it seems my living room is smaller than the sound that the speaker emits. Time to move anyways. LOL

Why I chose and why I like? It checked all my boxes. Simple install (no tools needed), clean looking, nothing else to buy, great sound, and personal previous experience with Bose' excellent quality products. I really like that it's only 2 speakers (I didn't want the headaches or time needed to connect multiple speakers) with the sub being able to be hidden in corner or behind furniture and the center speaker small (about 1/4th the size of a typical shoe box) and nice looking. It easily blends in with existing equipment or most entertainment centers, yet if visible has a simple clean look so hiding is not necessary. One potential downfall is the center speaker is designed to sit on a shelf, mounting on a wall is not an out of box option. Will have to do a custom setup if mounting is desired. Not an issue for me but something that could be for others so wanting to point out. Something else that made the install simple was everything needed to connect to most newer TVs was included in the box. All the cables for audio/video-out were in the box. In other words, at least in my case and I think for most setups, I opened the box and needed nothing more to have the speakers and the remote working in under 5 minutes. Took longer to take everything out of the excellent packing material (as in sturdy and well protected) than to have up and running. I've yet to setup the large included remote to my tv and other devices, so for now I must adjust the volume of the Bose speakers using the included Bose remote, and use my original remote for everything else, just like before. Someday I hope to integrate the speakers with current remote, or to setup Bose remote to control all my other devices so I won't need 2 remotes. But honestly, for everyday TV watching, I leave the Bose speakers at a volume I would consider the lowest volume for listening, and then use the original remote (thereby continuing to use the TV speaker) to adjust up from there as needed to give range but not need both remotes. When a movie or "important" show is watched, I will break out the Bose remote and use just those speakers over the Combo. My personal remote setup situation might be easy or maybe not even possible, don't know, haven't tried yet. So I can't fault the Bose, I spent my 5 minutes to setup and have not given it any additional effort, simply enjoying it as-is for now. I recommend and would buy this product again. Just know that it is center speaker and a sub, that provides great sound improvement over muffled TV built-in speaker with easy setup - Set it and forget it, no fuss quality Bose product.
