Darn, went to add a photo and my review was gone. Hope someone appreciates this one as I now have written it twice :) Some nice reviews thus far although for my needs, I just do basic iPhone things with the keyboard not Excel. I give Clicks credit for a releasing version two I never tried version one, but this one seems to be pretty good. I use an iPhone 16 Pro and I feel that’s kind of the max size phone you’d want to use with this Click’s device since it does mean overall it’s a little heavy tilt drop forward when using it, but having said that I do feel also it raises the display above the keys You thus have a more comfortable viewing angle of the device . Initially, I did try to order it from Clicks direct, but they never could give me a date and when I saw it on Best Buy and on sale, no less, I ordered it. I have been using it for the past two days and although I cannot say having a physical keyboard would make one type faster since indeed they are small keys, and I probably use the nails of my thumbs instead of the surface of my thumbs to press the keys. Though overall, I think I will be happy with this physical keyboard. If you don’t have a iPhone 16 Pro Max, then I would recommend give this a try. You can always give it back to Best Buy. Thinking the sweet spot would be a 16 plus if it is lighter than a 16 pro. I really appreciate the fact that I can see my entire screen without having to have a virtual keyboard on the screen because now I have the click keyboard And no I didn’t get it for free from them. This is just my own personal thoughts plus I really like the baby blue color which is not represented in the photo I shared due to lighting. Indeed, their web site ordering…and it seems support based on other review needs improvement though 9 times out of 10 it is just a case with a keyboard and should work fine within design constraints. Maybe in time will rate ‘ease of use’ 4 stars once I get more time using it but even if only 3 it gives me more display space on the phone and that matters a lot.

Fully recommend it takes time to get used to it and use its full potential but well worth the time and cost just what I was looking for in an iPhone keyboard

I think it's time to move on...

I've been resisting the move to touch keyboards for so long. I stuck with a Blackberry Key2 until most apps I used wouldn't work due to the age of the phone's OS. I gave the 1st gen Clicks a try with an iPhone 15 Pro Max. I was a founder and used it for about 6 months before upgrading to the 16 Pro and the 2nd gen Clicks keyboard. The 1st gen Clicks had tons of flaws; cheap materials, no magsafe, no data passthrough (for 15 series). Then, in my opinion, the keys were not a joy to type on at all. This 2nd gen fixes most of that. There's built in MagSafe, the case is built with much better materials, and there is data passthrough, although it's not automatic. You need to press a button combination to activate data passthrough, and the keyboard is disabled while using data. It's mildly annoying having to remember to activate data mode every time you plug into CarPlay, but whatever. Onto the most important part, the keys. The keys are ergonomically contoured, larger, and they shrunk the return key to add one extra symbol button. Coming from 6 months of the 1st gen keys, I think it makes a small difference. It feels slightly better hitting the keys, and helps you know when your fingers are extending to the wrong side of the keyboard. Overall, the keys still do not compare to a Blackberry at all. I can still get 80wpm with 100% accuracy in typing tests on my Key2, but after 6 months of Clicks, I can still barely get 50wpm, and I sacrifice accuracy to break that point. The keys feel mushy and don't give great feedback on either Clicks generation. The keys are also small, and hitting multiple keys on accident is pretty easy. I've also noticed the keys are pretty loose too, you can twist the key about 45 degrees in either direction just by gently twisting with your fingers. Another big thing that really slows me down is the choice of symbols. You might've seen ads where they do excel work with their Clicks keyboard. However, this keyboard is definitely not built for spreadsheets of any kind. They left out the plus key for some reason. Yes, you can invoke the virtual keyboard when you need the plus key, but that kills the purpose of attaching a keyboard in the first place. And what kind of spreadsheet doesn't have a "+" sign somewhere? Another big bother is the size. Your phone becomes a big heavy brick with this attatched, and unfortunately the phone is the bigger weight. I've followed their "How to hold your Clicks" guide online; the phone is still very top heavy when typing and become uncomfortable fast. Your phone will most likely be too tall to fit into your pocket. They're aware of this and assume you'll be happy to leave the #ButtonsOut as they say, but I don't think it looks professional, or in a casual setting, stylish. My final negative point is the customer service. Their support email might as well not exist, it takes weeks to get a reply. You can get faster service by joining their Discord and finding a staff member, but you really shouldn't have to do that to get service. I've really tried to like Clicks, and appreciate their attempts to keep physical keyboard phones alive, but unfortunately after two generations I think I need to move on and embrace the virtual keyboard. When Blackberry died their keyboard magic died with them and I'm no longer convinced anyone will be able to do keyboards like they did.

Poor Build Quality, Warranty and Glitching

Product generally works as intended. Company attempted to copy and paste a Blackberry type feel but could not reverse engineer or create as well. Would definitely not recommend due to product issues with build quality, warranty, glitches. Manufacturer is hesitant to stand behind their product. Product definitely needs to go through more beta testing before it is ready for real world use.

The Clicks keyboard for the iPhone is a nice gadget to have, although unnecessary. It gives the old feeling of that Blackberry tactile keyboard. The product is very well made. It may take some time to get used to holding the device in a certain way so it doesn't fall over. A bit pricier than I would have liked, but it's a niche product.

This keyboard phone case is awesome. Im typing on it right now as I type this review and it feels great. The only downside is how long your phone looks with it on, but if this is what it takes so I don’t have to type on the touchscreen anymore, I’ll do it.

Bought it and was excited but when I unboxed the product it was lack luster. Even the Best Buy guy who did my return argeed that it looked cheap . Buttons are not quality and super small. Not even close to being worth $150 . The seal was broken on the box when I got it so I can only imagine someone bought it and did the same exact thing which is return it same day. It was a great idea …. Crappy execution & they are charging 15x the worth. Just turn your button haptics on in settings . You’ll get more satisfaction from that than this case .

Terrible Product and Customer Service – Do Not Buy

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I had an awful experience with this product and the company’s customer service. Let me warn everyone: do not buy this product. Here’s why: 1. Malfunctions Galore:
-The keyboard doesn’t work as intended (for reference I got the iPhone 16 pro max)—keys don’t match the symbols they’re supposed to represent (e.g., the @ symbol shows up incorrectly).
-The Alt function is inconsistent, and the spacebar scrolling only works intermittently, especially when full keyboard access is enabled. 2. Customer Service Nightmare:
-It took forever to get responses, and after just a few email exchanges, they completely ghosted me.
-I kindly asked for a refund multiple times, but they made me pay for my own return shipping despite selling a broken product.
-Their website states a restocking fee will be deducted if the box is open, which is absurd and possibly illegal. How else are you supposed to test the product to realize it doesn’t work? 3. Ridiculous Refund Process:
-It’s been more than a week since they received my return, and I still haven’t gotten any updates. I can’t even tell you how much they’ll deduct, but I’ll update when (or if) this ever gets resolved. I had to involve a lawyer just to make any progress. 4. Aesthetics:
-The case is huge. It makes your iPhone Pro Max comically large—think brick-sized monstrosity. It’s awkward to hold and top heavy, impossible to use comfortably, and you’ll definitely get strange looks if you’re brave enough to use it in public.
In summary, this product is an overhyped gimmick. iOS is already maximized your typing comfort, and this case does nothing to fix that—it just amplifies the frustration. My experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare. Avoid this product and this company at all costs. I regret ever purchasing it. Save yourself the headache. Do not make the same mistake I did.

I like having the entire screen when i type and the option to go back to the other keyboard. It’s not faster than the on-screen keyboard, but i like having to option. And people are always asking me about it lol

    More screen, lots of shortcuts

Finally, a physical keyboard. The improved Clicks gives me access to my iPhone in so many ways. I originally liked the idea that Clicks would free up my entire screen without having to have a virtual keyboard while I type. But what I love the most is the fact that with the push of a button I have so many shortcuts right at my fingertips. It does take some time to get used to, what what tech doesn't.

I really wanted to like this product but the moment I realize that Apple CarPlay did not work with the case on, it was a no for me. The backlight keyboard and full screen was nice to have though.
